El trato de la gente. Wayan super atento. El desayuno increíble, además te lo ponen flotante,gratis. La piscina es estupenda. A un minuto de la playa, pero con privacidad.

Las bicis de alquiler del hotel, son un poco viejas.

La chambre était plus grande que ce qu'elle n'y paraît sur les photos. Petit-déjeuner très bon. Emplacement idéal. Un accueil 24h/24 et surtout de TRÈS bonnes recommandations de nos hôtes quant aux restaurants, zones de baignade, bars etc. Bon rapport qualité/prix comparé à d'autres hôtels que nous avons vus à Gili Air !

Le ménage de la chambre n'était pas toujours parfait. Les lits étaient faits mais le sol de la chambre n'était pas nettoyé.

Struttura molto pulita e personale decisamente professionale e risolutivo per tutte le necessità. Ci hanno fornito a pagamento biciclette per poter girare l’isola ogni giorno e la colazione che servivano era assolutamente di livello. Bellissima esperienza.

Le petit déjeuner de cet établissement était copieux , varié et ramené dans la villa. Le personnel était là 24h/24 pour nous et toujours souriant . La location des scooters et vélo. Les espaces étaient assez grandes.

L’accès de l’hôtel était compliqué à pied et même en scooter ( chemin de terre). La maison aurait besoin d’un grand rafraîchissement ( robinetterie, serviette trouée et trou dans la terrasse dans la villa 1). Le haut d’accès était un peu triste.

La chambre avec la piscine était magnifique le personnel gentil et agréable

Le lendemain de notre arrivée le ménage de la chambre qui a été fait à moitié, l’intérieur était propre mais l’extérieur pas du tout et ils avaient laissés le balai et la serpillière devant notre piscine et le premier matin petit déjeuner servi dans la piscine mais il manquait laissés confiture et le sucre,voilà pourquoi je mets la note de 8

Située au calme de gili proche de la plage , des restaurants supérettes... notre villa était vraiment belle petit dej dans la villa , massage. Grand salon extérieur , transat .

Les installations sont un peu vieillottes robinet cuisine externe et douche dans les salles de bain.

Wegens een verjaardag kwam het personeel zingend binnen en het was lekker om een eigen zwembad te hebben.

De geur in de badkamer was niet lekker.

Leur capacité à tout simplifier pour l'organisation de nos activités. La possibilité de louer directement un vélo ou scooter électrique sur place. Et évidemment la gentillesse de l'équipe à l'image de la directrice du site.

Le petit-déjeuner était très bon et très généreux, on a vraiment apprécié le déguster dans la piscine. La chambre était propre et confortable. Un grand merci au personnel qui nous a très bien accueilli avec quelques recommandations locales (restaurant, plage, sunset…).

L’entrée de l’établissement est un chemin de terre, donc très boueux lorsqu’il pleut, passage dans les flaques obligé.

L'équipe était à l'écoute et réactive

Malheureusement beaucoup de travaux de remise en état serait nécessaire pour vraiment pouvoir profiter du lieu en toute sérénité

Waren zur Regenzeit dort und auch die einzigen Gäste. Jeder Wunsch oder frage wurde sofort erfüllt bzw beantwortet. Perfekte Privatsphäre. Die Anlage liegt im Norden der Insel und wirklich ruhig - weit genug von der Moschee entfernt. Fußläufig vom Strand entfernt. Absolut top Preis Leistung.

Séjour exceptionnel ! La suite avec piscine privée est superbe, chambres spacieuses, extérieur très agréable avec le petit déjeuner servi dans le jardin. Un véritable havre de paix, calme et zen, porté par un personnel extrêmement gentil et attentionné. Nous recommandons sans hésiter !

The villa pool was big and clean but very strong chlorine smell. The breakfast was nice and they made changes when we asked. The smoothie bowl was good and the fruit provided was nice.

The room was infested with little ants that we had to kill along with some german cockroaches and some big and small spiders between the room and bathroom. The location of the villa was very hard to reach and was reached via dirt paths that got very muddy with little rain. The hosts were very monotone and wanted to change our towels and clean only once every three days. The beach took a fair walk to reach on dirt paths again and they did not have a section of the beach dedicated to the villas. We were in a very deserted part of the island with resturants being super far and hard to reach. The busy part of the island is the complete opposite direction of this villa. At night you need to use your phone to see because there are no street lights.

C’était au top, la villa était à couper le souffle. Le petit-déjeuner était excellent. La piscine était ressourçante et l’endroit est paisible et calme à l’image de l’île Nous avons pu louer un scooter électrique directement à l’hôtel, le prix est par contre excessif (250k pour 24h) vous pouvez aussi louer des vélos à l’hôtel.

This is my second time at Gilizen. I love the pool and the atmosphere. The location is also easy to reach, not too far from the beach, but not too close either. The rooms are well-appointed and clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. If you want to snorkel, just ask the Gilizen team, they are very helpful in finding good spots for snorkeling and swimming with turtles (if you are lucky)

Extremely Disappointing – Unprofessional Behavior from the Owner I was already very disappointed with our stay due to several serious issues — the air conditioning didn’t work at all, even after repeatedly asking the staff to fix it. Our room was never cleaned once during the entire stay, the sheets and towels were never changed, and dirty breakfast plates were left in the room for days. But what made the experience even worse was the owner’s attitude. Instead of listening to our feedback and trying to understand how to improve things for future guests, the owner actually argued with us about our complaints. There was no willingness to help, no apology, and no effort to make things right — just confrontation and blame-shifting. This level of unprofessionalism was shocking and completely unacceptable. Bottom line: Poor service, no basic cleanliness, and an owner who refuses to accept any criticism. I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel.

Poco veramente poco,il personale gentile loro sono veramente carini

Struttura sporca e mal tenuta,non fatevi ingannare dalle foto. Scarafaggi formìche e ragni nella stanza e nel bagno,la struttura è situata in una pessima zona in mezzo a cumuli di sporcizia. E mal tenuta ragnatele piastrelle rotte e acqua stagnante che crea una odore terribile nella stanza,ti ritrovi formiche nel letto mentre dormi inaccettabile. La soluzione del proprietario della struttura è stata te ne vai e ti restituisco i soldi,ma alle isole gili ad agosto per un soggiorno di 5 giorni è impossibile trovare posto. Ho pagato tutto fino all ultimo centesimo extra compresi ( bici e motorino elettrico vanno presi per forza per la posizione in cui sta l’hotel ). 5 minuti dopo il mio check out mi arriva la notifica di Booking per confermare che non avevo soggiornato al gili zen resort,il proprietario poco furbo ha provato a non farmi lasciare la recensione. Le recensioni vanno fatte per aiutare i viaggiatori come me e non farli incappare in spiacevoli sorprese. Struttura da due stelle non certo da quattro.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel I honestly had one of the worst stays ever at this hotel. From the moment we checked in, things started going downhill fast: ❌ Air Conditioning Was Completely Broken The A/C didn’t work at all and it was hot the whole time. We asked the staff multiple times (seriously, several times) to fix it, and every time they said they would but absolutely nothing happened. No follow-up, no apologies — just empty promises. ❌ Zero Housekeeping Throughout our entire stay, no one ever came to change the sheets or towels. Not even once. We also never saw anyone attempt to clean the room. ❌ Old Plates Just Left There To make things worse, they left our breakfast plates in the room for days. Nobody came to pick them up and they just sat there, making the room smell disgusting. Honestly, this place was a full nightmare. The lack of service, total disregard for basic cleanliness, and the fact that the staff just ignored repeated requests made the whole stay incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable. Bottom line: I strongly recommend staying somewhere else — this hotel clearly doesn’t care about its guests or even the most basic standards of hospitality.

Location is terrible. Dirt road to the resort. Rubbish piles burning every day. Expensive. Air con didn’t work. Power cut out. Bathroom smelt very BAD. Cot was mouldy, and had a doona blanket folder up as the mattress.

It was just amazing.

This was our second time coming here and it felt like coming home again. We like the location, the privacy and the outdoor area with the deep pool and the loungers.

The breakfast was a bit better last time and it seems that they were a little confused about who ordered what this time.

Gilizen is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are beautiful, they are very clean and the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Masran and Zen were absolutely brilliant, they couldn’t be more accommodating or helpful. The breakfast was gorgeous and delivered to your room everyday. We hired bikes to cycle the island. You are very close to the beach and restaurants, it’s a little bit of a walk to the main shopping area and cafes so I would hire a bike as we didn’t do that until our third day and then realised it’s much easier! They will arrange snorkelling trips and boat trips for you as well. Overall, beautiful rooms, wonderful staff, yummy breakfast and the island is stunning!

Friendly staff, very private

Villas are located down dusty dirt roads, no problem, you will need a good torch once the sun is down. The only other downside was the breakfast, which was very inconsistent. Our first day was amazing, the second day was well below average, and the third day was acceptable.

The private pool. Staff were friendly and accommodated a birthday cake request. Bike hire arranged. Breakfast was nice and a nice touch for the floating breakfast at no additional cost.

The place needs some attention to details in terms of renovation. Starting to look shabby around the sides. The bathroom has lots of gaps between the wall and ceiling meaning lots of mosquitoes. The mosquito net on the bed needs replacing, lots of stains, rips and doesn't fit around the bed meaning gaps so pretty pointless. The lighting in the room is not good for doing makeup. The pillows are lumpy and need replacing. When it rains the whole place floods as it is all one level and water enters the rooms. Breakfast was nice but the coffee so bad. One morning we asked for oat milk with our cappuccino and we were given a coffee made from 3 in 1 pre mix. For the price I have stayed in much nicer accommodation.

Ok where to start The hotel is 25 minutes walk for anything worth seeing The room wasnt cleaned properly every day, we had to remind them to change the used coffee mugs and glasses and other things Their breakfast is only served in your room ( they have an option to serve it in a pool basket, but it seems like they only have one in the whole hotel because they asked back for it 15 minutes after bringing the breakfast) and even if they claim to be a family friendly property they had no high chair for our baby Also dont expect everything to be fresh and abundant. We saw day after the size of the fruit bowl shrinking and we clearly felt like the bread we havent ate the day before was served to us the next day. They dont have expresso machines but their coffee was still decent ( filter ) They propose to rent bikes through them that arent cheap, but the bikes dont have any lights and in Gili Air at night you only have public lights on 50% of the island ( when I asked at the reception if they had some pocket lights to lend us they laughed)

Absolutely nothing

The location - although is a bit far from the port but is close to the beach in the north of the island. There are some restaurants close by. The pool is nice and refreshing.

The bathroom has a skyline window without glass, this results mosquitoes came into the room during the night. Also the bathroom is a bit of rustic and required some refurbishment urgently.

Private pool was amazing and the staff were excellent. Anything we needed from them, they were on hand to help straight away. Air conditioning is good. Bed was comfy.

I think the word Villa maybe isn’t suitable. There is an open air bathroom where loads of insects can get in. Also the fact it’s made out of wood, you are awoken by the mosque loudspeakers every morning at 4am - this can last 15-45 mins. It may not be the hotels fault but it’s difficult to sleep. Road is a bit messy/incomplete getting there.

There were mice, and cockroaches within the bedroom and bathroom of the Vila every day. During the night sometimes we could hear the mice on the ceiling, we warned the manager and nothing was done The pool was not clean and had several insects One day they didn’t even come to pick the leftovers from breakfast, and we returned at 7pm to find it all there rotting during the day in the middle of all the heat and sun Also several days not even the bedroom was cleaned, and the place is located in the middle of a very dusty and unpaved surroundings so it gets very dirty very quickly

Perfektes Hotel und perfekter Service 10/10

The staff were extremely lovely and they provided us with very useful informations about the island (the map, spots for the best sunset, the best restaurants, where to see turtles). Their smoothie bowl for breakfast is very good!

Although we don’t think this property was the best value for our money. Bathroom was very outdated and it needs renovations asap. The villa was lovely but it was pretty small. Breakfast was very average apart from the smoothie bowl. We were most disappointed with the coffee selection because they provided only instant versions (of cappuccino, caffe latte) and they weren’t good.

The staff was more than helpfull. When we got to the place reseption person gave us a map and explaned where to find good food, where to snorkel and where to get the best view of the sunset. Breakfast was always on time and there was plenty to eat. Location of the premises was on the quiter side of the island, which for us was perfect. The island is very small so it was easy to get around despite the fact that location was more remote.

questa struttura merita ed è peccato che non viene mantenuta meglio. Basterebbe pocchissimo per farsi che fosse ottima. Le pulizie sono standard al paese, ma davvero con un sforzo in più (pulizia della piscina, doccia, lavandino...) la struttura sarebbe ottima., Perfetta la colazione servita in stanza (anche flottante in piscina se lo desideri). Un pò isolata dal lungo mare o dal centro paese. Peccato che non ci sia luce sul percorso per rientrare in albergo di notte. Il personale è bravissimo, servizievole e accogliente. Bravi!

Very nice and quiet place, nice bed, nice staff. Very informative check in about the island that included a map. Breakfast was very large and free drinking water was a big plus to minimize plastic waste.

Coffee could have been better and breakfast could do some Improvements. Otherwise no complains!

The property was one of the bests we have been in. It is in a quiet area and you could not hear the mosque which gave us amazing sleep quality. Masran welcomed us to our room and showed us some of the best spots in the island as well as some restaurant recommendations. He helped us book a snorkel trip through the hotel and organise some laundry cleaning as well as rent bikes. Masran is one of the nicest people we met in Indonesia and he also speaks French! Breakfast was also great and you can even get a floating one for free.

Everything was great! Even the wifi which is not usually the case. The only thing I could mention in that the bikes did not have any light at night, but we quickly found out that nobody else in the island did, so we used our phone light and saw many people using a headlight as well!

Wonderful facilities, private pool was fabulous. Loved the water cooler in the villa, lots of places to lounge around and relax. Very comfortable beds, fans as well as AC was great too! Staff were very helpful and kind, nothing was a problem. Very close to the beach and some amazing beach side restaurants. Especially loves the floating breakfast that is delivered to your villa, this was a special highlight.

It's hard to think of anything, everything was so perfect. But if I had to write something I would say (and in no way the properties fault) it can be a little tricky to locate because of the little paths surrounding the location.

Hotelli on kaikin tavoin todella ikääntynyt ja kulunut. Sijainti on keskellä ja ympäristö muistuttaa kaatopaikkaa.

The breakfast is amazing and you can choose to have it floating style inside the pool. The location is very close to Bintang beach (the most beautiful location on the island) and the rooms are splendid.

The staff was lovely and you had your own water machine which was very welcome

The Internet kept going of ..the pool wasn't very clean didn't want to swim in it I wouldn't say this is a 4 star hotel towels and dressing gowns were gruby ..

GiliZen is an incredible property. We loved our stay. 9 days that we won’t forget. The location was perfect for us. The wonderfully helpful and kind staff were awesome. Highly recommended.
