room is clean and functional. nicely presented.
Not knowing it was Prom night before we arrived!
Dinner in the restaurant was good as always.
The noise!!! A wedding and a party just under our room with a 7 year old. It was extremely noisy and no one had a great sleep.
Beautiful location and great food
Beds were uncomfortable and clearly old. Matress toppers and more cushioning needed for the mattresses
Lovely building
Residents bar shut very early
We came for a wedding and all your staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful

Lovely old building very nice inside
The room needed a refresh
Nice location
Dinner was awful. Service slow. Food very poor. Waitress brought menus for pudding then disappeared and we eventually gave up.
Very nice venue. Lovely food. Comfortable room.
The room was pleasant and tastefully decorated.
The bathroom was tiny and inadequate for us. Stand in bath shower was not good and the toilet cistern didn't refill efficiently. A decent bathroom is important to us and this was far from it. Also ..... the restaurant menu was poor. It was difficult to find fresh healthy food or smaller portions. The sizzlers were very oily, the lamb shanks too big, and there was no white fish - only oily sammon.
Nice setting, parking
Filthy, dated, old, no USB sockets, TV smaller than my hand, various issues in room, carpet everywhere
Lovely place to stay, nice atmosphere, pleasant staff. Enjoyed the swimming pool.
Litter on the Front lawn was the first impression on arrival. Whilst in the reception area there was music playing in the next room and it happened to be the uncensored version of a cee lo green song where the chorus is "f**k you"... highly inappropriate for a 4* hotel especially with my 5 yr old listening !!
the cruzcampo
the wifi was not great
We stayed in The Carriage House in a superior king room & it was really nice, I couldn't fault the room.
I emailed the hotel on 25th August, 5 days before we arrived to book at table in Havelocks for 8pm & never received a response. When we arrived the restaurant was fully booked so we had no other choice than to order room service from a very limited Sunday menu.
Nice and old feel
Great location set out on a grand scale. Not expensive & breakfast included in the price.
Was very busy on the one night I was there & limited seating in the public areas & had to eat at the bar
Room was to hot 2 single beds pushed together with 2 single mattress bed was uncomfortable Not nuff tea coffee sugar milk
Everything you would expect from a good 4* country hotel, including spa and decent restaurant
The breakfast was a perfectly acceptable variety of hot cooked and cold options, fruit and coffee. But in some places the managers would have made one or two special touches-- possibly some fish options? Black pudding? a fuller range of fruit? rather than contenting themselves with delivering the full english & continental in their essential form.
Staff seemed very friendly and helpful
Rooms date, mattress was poor springs popping out and rooms overall poor condition
The hotel is well located, offers good parking facilities and is in a beautiful building with lovely grounds.
We booked the hotel for our family for a peaceful break, however there was a large wedding party at the hotel the night of our stay. If we had been informed of the wedding party we would have not booked the hotel or re-booked into a different hotel. The wedding party played loud music into the late evening, and the wedding guests were very drunk and aggressive, it was not a pleasant stay and experience for our young children. We also arrived at the hotel just as the restaurant was closing and were not able to have an evening meal, so we had to order a takeaway, this was not delivered to our room by the reception staff until 30 mins after it was delivered meaning we had a cold meal along with not being able to sleep due to the wedding event.
Breakfasts were very good
During the hot weather air con eouldhave been nice the tiny fan provided was next to useless
Attended a wedding, venue was amazing and staff very attractive, especially Samantha- nothing was too much trouble,
Beutiful venue, had a fabulaa time, Smantha was very helpful, lovely lady, couldnt do enough for us, vwry friendly lasy, an asset ti blaxkwell grange
Recently booked on a Friday evening for afternoon tea, hotel were really accommodating and no request was a problem. We asked for plain scones which was all sorted for our arrival. The lady who looked after us was very nice and attentive. The restaurant area has a really nice modern vibe but also quite relaxed. The afternoon tea was lovely, fresh sandwiches, plenty of scones with jam and cream plus an assortment of desserts. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Would recommend and would return!
Booked a Groupon refine/reset spa. Laura was very helpful arranging the time and date and also advised that they can match the Groupon offer. Staff all very welcoming and friendly. Garden spa is fabulous. Gorgeous shaded hot tubs. Facilities are spotless and well maintained. Pool and jacuzzi and a variety of hot tubs. Plenty of seating and loungers outdoors. The shoulder, neck and back massage that Kaitlin did was absolutely wonderful and better than any massages I've had. Lovely tranquility room to relax and unwind. Enjoyed lunch afterwards in the Havelock restaurant. A very fabulous experience and will certainly be back. Thanks
What can I say! The service has been amazing! As usual we were greeted impeccable by Samantha and the team! We love every time we visit
De locatie, omgeving en het personeel is geweldig
De kussens zijn net even te dun, dat is eerlijk gezegd het enige minpunt wat ik kan bedenken
Yet another visit to Blackwell Grange, never a disappointment; I've started to use the hotel. for coffee and meals, but this time to the Spa, I visited with my daughter, initially with a Groupon voucher; however on this occasion I'd rung to check on availability and was told they price match. so I booked direct. What it lacks in size it makes up for in service; we had a massage, which was exceptional, and used the facilities, they've extended and opened a spa garden, there were loungers, seating, another sauna, another couple of hot tubs, we had a wonderful afternoon and won't hesitate to return or recommend.
On arrival greeted warmly by reception, checked in , pleasant chat with receptionist . Direction given to a stunning executive room , view of car park . Room was beautifully clean and welcoming , however lots of stains on carpet , needs a clean. Two fans in room which were much appreciated. Nice gesture of bottled water replenished daily.bathroom had lovely soap/body moisturizer to hand , with lovely white towels.bed was very large and comfortable. Curtains could do with a blackout behind . Breakfast was standard nothing special, bar staff very friendly , however when I asked to charge items to the room the receptionist hadn’t opened a tab by asking for card information upon check in, bar staff offered to sort it , I just paid for drinks. Went to reception to discuss it , she said she could sort it easy enough , I suggested maybe this should be done on check in. Overall nice stay
We had a great experience by staying in the Blackwell hotel, it’s not the first time , and always with warm welcomed in reception , nice bar and restaurant staff, we love the room in the Carriage house with unique atmosphere and comfortable bed, plenty different choices of tea and coffee. The gym, sauna with jacuzzi is excellent addition for relaxation and full rest and comfort. Highly recommend to stay !
Brilliant service by Amanda. First time going in to get treatment in the spa facilities and was handled with such care and consideration by both spa staff. Obviously being a typical male I was a bit dubious to start with, but I was welcomed and settled in and any notions I had went away quickly. I can’t sing the praises of Amanda’s calming presence and politeness enough. She made me feel soo relaxed and that’s what money can’t buy. Will definitely be booking in again! Thank you again for the level of service we received, across the board from all hotel staff. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Thank you, Jordan & Holly
Attended a family wedding yesterday 8/8/2026. The experience exceeded our expectations. Special mention for Joshua and Samantha who worked tirelessly and professionally. Nothing was too much trouble to them and they carried out their roles with enthusiasm and good humour. Thanks to Blackwell Grange. A wonderful day
Went for a couple of drinks and had a lovely time. Liz and Celeste made us feel very welcome and were very attentive. Would 100% come again!!
It was a good location for our needs
The room was very small and cramped for two adults, very little space to manoeuvre especially when two adults are trying to get sorted for an evening out. The room was extremely hot, yes it was a hot day but the room had 0 air release or intake. The bathroom did not have an extractor fan and was also very hot prior to 2 ppl having showers which made it unbearable.
We arrived at the hotel and received a warm welcome from Aimee in reception. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and Aimee had arranged for a sweet treat had been put in our room. The room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Wilson gave us walking tips and Bethany (Beth) in the bar told us about local attractions. We are in the bar and the restaurant during our stay. The food was well prepared from quality ingredients and served with a smile from the staff. Breakfast was plentiful and well presented. The hotel is set in parkland with lots of walking routes. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Darlington.
Stayed at Blackwell Grange for three nights, with a group of 80+ for an annual met up. It’s surrounded by a wonderful parkland with plenty of well kept footpaths, it was lovely to see all the wild life first thing in the morning. The main hotel is a beautiful building and decorated well to fit the style of building. I found the hotel and rooms to be very clean and well kept. The food was excellent, and there was plenty of choice (we all pre-ordered our meals, as they were sit down banquets for all 80+ of us). Our motorbikes were parked in a walled area where they locked the gates overnight, brilliant security! Samantha was wonderful, she greeted us and informed us of the details of our stay, then later in the evening before our first meal, she formally welcomed us a group and gave us additional information, this was extremely professional and a lovely added touch. All of the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional, I personally think they go above and beyond and have a wonderful attitude towards their guests. If I’m in this area again, this is where I will be staying, thank you for making my visit so pleasant.
Staff very nice, rooms a spacious
Some rooms i guess is slightly outdated. Ours was
Had a spa massage today for my birthday.... It was absolutely fantastic thank you so much Isabella you did a great job.... Very relaxing and perfect space outside in the jazzucca....
I recently visited Blackwell Grange and had a wonderful experience. Sam Reay was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and professional from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Her attention to detail, warm personality, and genuine care for guests really stood out and made the visit even more enjoyable. It’s clear she takes great pride in her work and is a real credit to Blackwell Grange. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel and look forward to visiting again.
lovely building and staff friendly
We were located at the rear of the 1st floor overlooking a dozed wheelie bibs which the staff used at 6am disturbing our sleep which then continued until we got up for breakfast. The rooms were stuffy and the paint work needs urgent attention.
Stayed for 4 nights as part of an 80 person social group. Lovely hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Everything ran like clockwork. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
Food incredible. Staff amazing . Great property. Close enough to Croft race circuit for us with secure parking.
A most welcoming hotel, all staff that we encountered were friendly and professional, set in lovely grounds, slightly disappointed in the spa, but overall a lovely hotel
Stayed for one night only lovely hotel lobby etc . Never used the spa facilities only slept and had breakfast. Breakfast standard nothing exceptional . Tip use coffee mugs next to the coffee machine as it spits out on you and overflows in the grey cups that are on the tables .room was very basic . Linen and towels clean . But lamps had holes in , out dated shower with only dripped out basically. The dressing table chair was minging j really don’t want to know what fluid had been on that .used a towel to sit on . For the price it’s not cheap either . As I say lobby reception area nice . Staff nice too . Just the room in the 200’s need an over Hall really .
Absolutely fabulous experience today for my first Visit from walking in the door to leaving. Can't wait to come back, one of the best Massages I have had & I like it firm, it was percripted & the products from Espa are Absolutely wonderful. Can't recommend them enough & Natalie was amazing . Thankyou so much & look forward to using my 30% off on my next visit. The facilities are second to none, a wonderful relaxing Spa in Darlington & beautiful place & Hotel.💛 5***** Debbi Renton
I attended a surprise 70th Afternoon tea at The Blackwell Grange Hotel, the food was lovely, the staff were very helpful and accommodating, especially Steven and Josh who helped us out with all our food and music needs… would definitely recommend.
Beautiful hotel, its been a while since we've stayed. The staff, for the most part, were been helpful and professional, the younger staff are a Credit to the hotel.
I really struggled with the walk to our room because of my mobility issues, and the room was definitely not to the standard expected compared to previous visits, and at breakfast this morning the waiting staff were not great(the young girl was so nice, but the two older women were not)
Spa visit for a facial. Lovely spa, super facial by Isobel, very relaxing, my face is hydrated and I enjoyed the scalp massage too.
Absolutely nothing! It’s a total dump and the worst customer experience I have ever had!
Be warned it is total false advertising. The photos do not represent that hotel at all. The rooms were disgusting, pubic hair in the sheets, threadbare carpets, broken lampshades and so run down. We were allocated rooms in the 1970s blocks at the back of the hotel. We were informed on arrival that there was a wedding going on and that the hotel would be noisy until midnight we were not informed about this before we arrived. We were told if we had booked direct we would have been made aware but because we booked through booking.com they did not inform us. We tried to go to the bar but the hotel was overrun with wedding guests and it was impossible to get served or to get a table. At this point we spoke to the hotel and requested that given the state of the rooms and the wedding situation we would like to leave and get a refund for our rooms. There was not a chance in hell they were going to refund us and told us to take it up through booking.com. Booking.com have tried for 3 days to get the hotel to refund us and agreed with our photographic evidence that we should have been refunded. The hotel is still refusing to give us even a partial refund. It is the worst customer service I have ever received. We moved hotel to Headlam Hall Hotel who were the complete antithesis of this and went out of their way to rescue our weekend. The most welcoming and customer focused hotel with gorgeous rooms, incredible views, amazing food. Do yourself a massive favour and book there instead.
Lovely relaxing morning to enjoy time with family. Fantastic head massage and facials

We have just returned from our Afternoon Bliss spa day. We had an amazing time and the price was very reasonable, the food in the restaurant was very nice and the cocktails were nice although basic. The spa staff were so friendly and had a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We had the full body scrub treatment and thoroughly enjoyed it - sorry i can’t remember the ladies name that did mine but she had long brown hair, she was very good at her job. The spa garden was lovely and well maintained, we used all the facilities and enjoyed a glass of prosecco in the hot tub. The only thing i would say to improve would be having a waiter service in the garden so you didn’t have to walk all the way back to reception to get a drink, we only had one drink because of this. The bar staff in the hotel could have been a bit more friendly too, a smile and a chat would have been nice :) Overall very good experience, we would definitely recommend and return. Thank you!
Booked for the midday retreat spa. It was a lovely day, so relaxing! Staff couldn’t do enough for us, spa, treatment and afternoon were all faultless! I had a massage with Caitlin and it was honestly one of the best messages I’ve ever had! Thank you for a lovely day!
Had an amazing morning at the spa, left feeling super relaxed and rejuvenated. The garden spa is a beautiful spot to chill between treatments. The hot tubs were excellent. I'd definitely recommend a facial. It was one of the best I've ever had.
What a lovely experience I had with my friend, we have a breakfast which was of a very high standard, a relaxing swim in the pool, jacuzzi and went into steam room followed by a luxurious facial which made me feel so relaxed.
Beautiful venue with a lovely atmosphere. Scott, our waiter, was fantastic and looked after us exceptionally well throughout our visit. We came for afternoon tea, and everything was beautifully presented, with elegant bone china already set out on the table. It made the experience feel extra special. We’ll definitely be back to try the spa next time!
Lunch was lovely. Great service. Visited the Spa and it was brilliant. Nice and relaxed. Facial treatment was amazing. Highly recommended.
the spa facility was great. rooms were clean and comfortable. dinner and breakfast was lovely.
Absolutely gorgeous relaxing treatment with Catelyn today. So chilled out. Tranquility Ritual was just perfect. Combination of massage and facial with amazing Espa products. Thank you so much. Will be back!
Lovely setting. - room was really clean - the spa was a nice touch with good facilities. Think a lot of rooms were occupied were by the wedding party, so that meant the spa was quiet. Most staff were really nice, not enough staff on the bar. Breakfast was nice, and not too busy.
There was a wedding during our stay, which is fine but it wasn’t really in a separate area. It was awkward having to pass through the wedding party (who were taking photos etc) to get to our room with our case, then back to the bar etc equally as awkward for the wedding party who must have had randoms appearing throughout the day - found that really odd. Also, due to the wedding, there wasn’t anywhere to relax with a couple of drinks in the evening. The small bar, which is more a holding area for the restaurant didn’t have any music and the tv volume was off, wedding party guests seemed to have preferential treatment there despite having two other bars allocated to them - staff were busy and frequently just ignored people at the bar, rather than acknowledging they were there. it wasn’t very relaxing considering it was spa break and night away. Limited parking spaces, had issue on arrival as car park full.
Excellent location, good food, the spa is a bonus.
TV wouldn't connect to the WiFi. No big deal but you would expect it to work these days.
Food outstanding, staff very good
Bad guide signs for rooms it's a rabbit Warren nd long walks for people who required walking assistance
I booked the hotel for its location. I was visiting family. It was great in all aspects. Only downside for me was that there was no air conditioning in the bedroom. Wouldn't normally be a problem but with the nights being so hot it took a while to get off to sleep. The hotel were good, they did provide me with a fan which helped.
Spa was nice. Receptionist really helpful
Arrived just before 9pm after a 4 hour journey. Receptionist said we could go straight to the bar for food. We were then told only sandwiches or pizza. The website shows food available till 9.30. Had to ask several times to eventually get food. Room and decor disappointing. Also silverfish on the floor in the bathroom at night. Plastic cups in room and a fan for aircon is not expected in a 4* hotel.
It was convenient for the Croft Circuit.
No
Booked a spa day with treatment (full body massage) at Blackwell Grange and what a fabulous day we had, the facilities were 5 star with everything you could think of. The spa treatment was excellent and the best massage I’ve ever had. We had breakfast in the hotel as part of our package, which offered plenty of choices. We hadn’t booked lunch or afternoon tea but whilst we were there we asked if they could fit us in and the staff were extremely helpful to allow us to have afternoon tea outside in the glorious sunshine which was delicious. Overall we had the most fantastic day and all the staff were very helpful and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend Blackwell Grange for a spa day treat!!
We stayed at Blackwell Grange Hotel for four nights while visiting Croft Circuit, and the location was ideal for that purpose. Unfortunately, our stay coincided with a particularly busy weekend. There was a Year 11 prom on Friday, a wedding on Saturday, an event on Sunday, and the England football match, so the hotel was understandably very busy. On a couple of evenings, there was quite a bit of noise from guests in the corridors late at night, which woke us up. We also managed to arrive just as everyone was being dropped off for the prom, with traffic queued all the way down the drive to the main road. We ended up doing a U-turn and accessing the hotel via the rear entrance instead. Parking was another challenge, particularly later in the afternoon and evening, when spaces became quite limited. Our room was comfortable and represented good value for what we paid. It was on the cosy side, and it did get quite warm, but the hotel had thoughtfully provided a fan, which was appreciated. The bed was comfortable, and we slept well once things had settled down. We ate in the restaurant on two evenings. The food was fine, although it felt a little odd that ordering from the bar menu in the restaurant seemed to be discouraged, especially as some of the bar dishes were actually more expensive than those on the restaurant menu. The staff we encountered were all friendly and welcoming. We didn't have any issues during our stay, so there was no need to raise anything with the team. Sadly, we didn't have time to make use of the spa facilities, so we can't comment on those. Overall, Blackwell Grange offers good value for money and is an excellent base for anyone visiting Croft Circuit. While the busy events and parking situation meant it wasn't quite to our taste, we can see the hotel's potential. We'd certainly consider staying again if we were in the area.
Absolutely stunning room, exceptionally clean and tidy, breakfast was delicious and for a wedding venue was one of the best I've been to.
N/A
Close location to Croft Circuit. There was a nice walk just outside the hotel. The bar served cold beer.
Parking was limited at times. The venue was hosting large receptions and parties, therefore busy with a lot of external guests. Weather was hot and there was no AC but a fan was provide. There is a limited upgrade from a standard room to the next one up.
The staff were brilliant and very helpful
Perfectly placed for breaking a long journey in delightful surroundings.
Nothing. It has improved immeasurably since we last stayed there.
I last stayed at the hotel probably about the same time of year over the last few years, and have really enjoyed my stays - what a difference this year. I'm a regular user of the gym and pool area when I stay and used to really enjoy it - what on earth has happened!? Looks good on the outside, but clearly isn't on the inside. It would appear that all the great friendly and helpful staff from the gym have now left and been replaced by obnoxious and rude managers, who quite frankly do nothing and leave all the jobs they don't want to do, to gym staff. The gym manager swans around like he owns the place, has false promises, only interested in taking the classes, then sits down all day watching the CCTV or goes missing! The spa manager, well, lets not go there, so incredibly rude to staff and customers. I can see why people leave. Gym staff should not be made to run around like lunatics trying to keep the changing rooms clean, free of water, and clean up human faeces that have been left for days in the ladies showering area. Disgusting! The gym staff that are there, I have no complaints, but it's clear they're not confident or happy in their roles. More dedicated cleaners are needed and this would also help with lone working. There is a big health and safety issue for lone workers and if the gym staff are busy cleaning up mess downstairs, there is no-one upstairs and vice versa - I see a big insurance claim coming your way, if god forbid, something major happens. Talking to members during my stay, I understand that this has been happening for quite a while and a lot of issues have been raised with management, but nothing ever happens. I don't have any other issues with the rest of my stay and the main hotel, everyone was pleasant, some things are out of everyone's control and I get that, but the gym is atrocious. I can hand on heart say that I will now be looking elsewhere to stay. Such a shame!
No point in this hotel having a gym as noone is actually trained to over see the gym. When the actual gym staff go home its the spa girls who have to try run it. None of them have first aid, they do not and are not able to train anyone for anything. They are NOT QUALIFIED! when they can't be bothered to keep the gym part open because of sheer lack of staff, high staff turnover in this place, they just put a sign up saying closed. Not good for customers who wish to use this facility especially when its in with your booking too. The staff talk to customers like they are so far beneath them is a disgrace. The hot tubs never work properly and due to ongoing issues that the manager will not sort out as its too expensive (YES too expensive) people are actually getting burnt from too much chroline in all hot tubs and the pool. Take your money and go elsewhere like to rockcliffe Hall or redworth. These have much much better staff and facilities. Staff in the gym also lie to the customers as well for example when someone is finished they state they have left and got another job! Noooooo they didnt do that. The spa manager thinks she is something else just so stuck up, doesnt like give refunds, will argue with you, will talk down to you, will tell you how to do YOUR job that she ain't trained in anyway shape or form to even do. 0 RATING THE PLACE IS AWFUL.
Very accessible in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire. Pleasant and sociable staff. Spacious room.
The bathroom was very small and old fashioned. Duslike showers over baths which are not very safe but it was functional

Nothing
Facilities
Service at restaurant wasnt the best. Very slow they kept missing our table.
The hotel rooms are really starting to tire. Cracked walls, stains, tv poor and barely works, two single beds not fitted together well, dirty floor and dated bathroom with shower curtain. Just needs gutting and revamping the rooms to keep up with the standards of the bar and spa. I would be embarrassed to bring my partner here. Just about acceptable for a work trip. The staff are super and don't deserve to be pulled down by the standard of the rooms
Beautiful and well kept gardens, spa set withing garden as well, made spa visit very relaxing. Very comfortable beds. We had very good dinner and tasty breakfast. Went for very long walk within hotel gardens.
We were given very weird sets of towels, didn't complain as we brought some from spa. Also had to have bathroom door closed over night as towels were having very strong smell. Their were clean just weird smell.
The staff were lovely
The bathroom in the room was small, no air com and noisy, please avoid if a tribute band are playing as I had 5 hours of loud music and that was with the window shut. If you want to stay do not stay in a standard room on the ground floor. It’s a hotel for a one night stay not a few. Nights.
Rooms were very nice and nice big bathrooms.
Breakfast was a little chaotic as it was busy with a coach party and we had to wait a while for coffee to arrive.
Reflexology with Amanda at the spa was fab. Extremely relaxing.
The room was big and spacious and the restaurant was set out lovely
Helpful location for attending conference in Darlington. Spa facilities, though we didn't have time to use them. Staff were helpful. Parking on site. Fan provided in bedroom - much appreciated.
Room was a bit small and uncomfortable in hot weather. Continental breakfast choices were a bit limited when we arrived at 9 on our 2nd day.
The hotel met my expectations, with the staff, the food and the facilities all being fantastic. The airconditioned gym is a nice addition to the stay and the overall experience of my stay just felt relaxing and peaceful.
I can't find a fault.
Friendly helpful staff - restaurant is nice. Unfortunately there was a hair in one of the fishers and I do think it’s lightly overpriced for what they serve. Reception and hallways of hotel are lovely - rooms are a slight light down, a couple of mouldy spots on our bathroom but understandable for the price we paid for the room. Staff members couldn’t fault them at all !!!! Super helpful and friendly. Thank you so much
We visited as part of a spa day with lunch. It was amazing from start to finish, the place has had a full refurbish and they have not cut back on the costs. We had lunch in the restaurant as part of our spa day and the food was really good. I had fish and chips (which has actually been taken off the menu I have to say that is the one disappointment should we return, the original spa food menu was much better) and would go to say was probably up there with one of the best fish I’ve ever ate and believe me I’m fussy! The manager Danny was very attentive and made sure everything was lovely throughout and could see him also making sure everyone else was having a great time. We headed over to the spa and whilst the pool area is on the small side (although I wasn’t planning on doing laps of the pool) It was cool and refreshing. This along with the outdoor area which included a lovely garden area, steam room, hot tub, ice buckets and lots of sun loungers. We were lucky to have had 26 degree heat it felt like being on holiday for a day! Our spa treatments were amazing too! Perfect to end a lovely relaxing day!
Location, restaurant
The hotel is set in a very nice location ,facilities are good
Both rooms we've booked were dirty unfortunately . The night was very laud, so could not get a good night sleep. When we have asked the reception if we can have dinner at the restaurant we were told it is fully booked. Next morning during breakfast one of the staff told me the restaurant was half full at dinner .
We have never had a bad stay here, and our most recent visit was no different..if not even better! Every staff member we encountered was friendly and went above and beyond. From the reception staff, to the spa manager, the gym man, the treatment ladies…the list goes on. Honestly, I couldn’t find a bad word to say about it. We were extremely grateful to receive a room upgrade (married last week) and this just started the weekend off on a high. We had lovely Sauna and swim and the staff managed to find us a space for a treatment this morning! We have been very well looked after, following a busy run up to the wedding, this is just what we needed! Thank you to all
We had a great day, but the service from the staff was the only thing that let it down. When we raised a few issues with reception, we were just told that they would notify management and that was it.
My issues is not being addressed
Grounds are lovely
The bed was not comfortable, very hard
Very nice traditional style hotel with lovely grounds and facilities.
Nothing wrong with the property. The food quality for breakfast was very good, however what brought the score down slightly for me was that the hot breakfast was lukewarm rather than being piping hot. The staff were all excellent in all aspects!
Spa was lovely, good location, food was good
Room could have been a little bit cleaner, cobwebs round the window
The whole place
Loved everything
Had a wonderfully relaxing Spa afternoon. Many thanks to the staff and therapists Jess and Amanda for making it a truly enjoyable experience
Both my wife and I enjoyed a 4 night stay at Blackwell Grange Hotel, recently, having stayed several times before. The hotel and it's surroundings are beautiful, and the levels of service and cleanliness from hotel staff are always very good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area, for a short break.
I am a Member at the Gym. A brilliant place to train with a great set of people. Byron and the team keep us well motivated and provide excellent support and advice. Pool and jacuzzi are great for recovery. Fantastic.
I rejoined the gym last year just before the refurbishments began. The work was very badly needed and it has now been transformed. The arrival of Byron has taken the gym session to another level. The new classes have certainly motivated me as I now go 4 times a week. I appreciate his level of expertise and his support and motivation has certainly encouraged me. I now look forward to the classes, which challenge me and has done wonders for my fitness.
I booked this trip for my husbands birthday and it didn’t disappoint from the warm welcome right up until the friendly and helpful staff Blackwell grange is such a beautiful property and we will definitely be returning in the future thank you all best regards Mr and Mrs Leith xx
Staff hard working and welcoming. Hotel very clean. SPA lovely with a private sunbathing area. Breakfast was good. Bar food excellent
