Can't state enough how much I love the Proper Grit and all its staff. They're very polite and welcoming. Always a bright spot of my stays in WPB. Gigi was my waitress the last time I was there. She greeted me with a warm smile and was extremely courteous, attentive and friendly. Can't forget about the hostess, Beatrice, who sets the tone for the restaurant with her professionalism and attention to detail.

Everything from the front desk check-in and ongoing service each day, to my treatment at their breakfast restaurant, to the excellent service I received at dinner time at their rooftop restaurant was impeccable. I'm particular, servers Gigi and Juan went out of their way to make me feel wonderful. Ruth, the Host, made me feel welcome each morning. I'm the evenings each server took excellent care of me. Overall it was a wonderful experience at a beautiful hotel in the water. Thank you!!

It's the little things that become marks of distinction. The hotel is fabulous (location, rooms (room upgrade), staff and amenities), but one item in particular totally delighted us. As we left the hotel, we noticed that our EV had been fully charged - what a pleasant surprise. Thank you to The Ben and your staff. This unexpected touch put you firmly in the "exceeded expectations" camp.

This was an awesome experience. The hotel was very very different from modern and simple hotels. This gives a modern rustic feel. Old school but new. Ruth, the host from Proper Grit is so nice. She was such a pleasure to talk with. Michael, the bellman, has the BEST energy. They just have great people working there. Alex from the front desk. I think Adam was his name, another bellman. Was just 5 star great!

Beautiful, spacious and clean. Juan and Ruth at Proper Grit made dining at the hotel a pleasure. Only ventured out once to eat elsewhere.

Everyone we interacted with was welcoming, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. It was the perfect place for a girls’ getaway, and we had so much fun. What a wonderful place, from the doorman Chris. Chris greeted us with his ama,ing smile and personality, serving us a welcome Paloma. The room is beautiful and very comfortable. We woke up to their amazing Elite breakfast, the host Ruth was so welcoming and helpful. Our server Juan was very efficient and attentive. The Ben is a genuinely magical boutique hotel just steps from the heart of Palm Beach, and after one night here on a business trip, I’ve already decided it’s my favorite staycation spot. The ornate decor and thoughtful personal touches feel refreshing in a world of look-alike hotels, but the real reason to book is the staff. Ruth hosts breakfast, and she is a delight. I looked forward to her energy and her smile every single morning. Gigi and Juan took wonderful care of us at the table, and Ronald and Mike were just as warm and attentive. Sofia at the coffee bar is a gem. Gerald behind the bar knows exactly what he’s doing and makes you feel welcome while he does it. Julian at the front desk is the absolute best, the kind of person who makes check-in feel like being welcomed home. And Derrick in valet is effortlessly cool and made every arrival and departure easy. I came for work and left already planning my next stay for no reason at all. If you’re looking for a property where the service is as beautiful as the building, this is it. Thank you to the entire team at The Ben.

We had excellent service, and the food was delicious!

Went to Proper Grit for my birthday and it was a magical experience. First, Danielle, our server, was a delight from the moment we sat down. Impeccable timing, great recommendations, just perfect service from start to finish. Then the food was amazing starting with lobster corn dogs (!), lemon linguine, beautifully cooked filet, asparagus and not to be missed shaved truffle grits. Lovely evening, beginning to end. Highly recommend.

We stayed in WPB July 15, 16 and 17th. We were there because my husband was having surgery at a nearby hospital and we wanted to be close by. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The front desk staff was always helpful. The valet suggested a wheelchair and went to get it and was wheeled up to the room. The floor manager was so helpful and got us everything needed for my husband. The head of security came to us as well and brought us anything needed and then some! The staff at the restaurant were so kind and courteous. It's been a few weeks and forgot names of the hotel staff but I wrote down the names of the restaurant and coffee staff who were so nice such as Sofia, Daniel, MaryJ and Gigi. I've stayed in many hotels throughout my lifetime and have always had positive experiences but The Ben in WPB was exceptional. Thank you to all who made our stay more comfortable and taking into consideration our circumstances.

Excellent service; to start, Beatriz and Mari Jane welcome you warmly at the reception. I highly recommend the service provided by Daniel—he was so kind to my little daughters! We were delighted!

Our breakfast server Juan, at the Ben Hotel in West Palm, was outstanding… breakfast was also outstanding.

I’ve stayed here several times. Great service throughout the hotel but in particular in the restaurants- Gigi is a wonderful server and Mary Jane and Beatrice are two hostesses that go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The Bonvoy elite menu for breakfast is not like other hotels, it’s substantial with tons of hearty options. The beds are very comfortable, love the toiletries and great shower pressure. I don’t usually write reviews but this hotel stands out to me as consistently getting it right!

Beverly brought some items to the room for me. Although the front desk got my request wrong, Beverly immediately handled and corrected the situation. She is very pleasant and was very helpful to me. She's a keeper!

I’ve done events at the Ben but this is my first time staying here. As a Bonvoy platinum member I’ve stayed at every type of property, and can honestly say I was blown away by the level of service at this hotel. In fact I had planned on only staying one night and kept extending my stay because of how well taken care of I felt. It was an absolute delight to be greeted by Ruth at breakfast each morning - she is a pure ray of sunshine. My server Juan made me feel like I had been a guest here for years. Everyone at the front desk is amazing, especially Jay who is such a gem, and Adam at the front door. The Ben will be my home away from home!

We are beyond grateful for his kindness and thoughtfulness—it truly made our stay even more memorable. The customer service was exceptional throughout our entire visit. The Ben is an amazing hotel, just what we needed to round up our roadtrip and make this a memory-lasting last stop. The pool is small but really nice, the decor impressive, the room’s comfortable, specious and clean. Would definitely come again. Our host Ruth and server Gigi were very friendly and attentive - we truly enjoyed our stay and can recommend hotel snd restaurant to anyone in the area.

Absolutely 1st rate! Super cool chic vibe. The food was on par but the standout was the service. From Ruth at the hostess stand who was welcoming and happy to our server Gigi, they made our breakfasts a wonderful way to start the day. Friendly, accommodating and desire to please are a few words to describe their impact.

Breakfast at Proper Grit at The Ben was outstanding. The Pioneer Breakfast hit the spot and our sever Daniel took great care of us. We had the pleasure of talking a little with the Host, Ruth. What a hard worker and an inspiring lady! Truly a pleasure all around. Highly recommend Proper Grit!

I can’t rate the staff high enough. We came to WPB so my wife could have her back surgery. We had some special needs & requests. The STAFF has been nothing short of incredible. Friendly, helpful & efficient! I have to name them as they should get special recognition. When we arrived my wife needed the wheelchair to get to our room. Eric the security professional assisted us and has been over the top helpful. The desk staff is great, especially Jacob & Jaida. The restaurant personnel have also been incredible, Ruth (host), Gigi (server), Sofia & Ky (barista) and Juan & Mike (servers). All these people have been absolutely GREAT. Sometimes hotels can have an off day / maybe that’s what happened ant our last stay. We stayed at the Ben at least 5xs. How a hotel handles those issues truly needs to be recognized. Upon that basis: the hotel deserves 5 stars. Here, the Ben provided exceptional assistance and service by Jaida S. at the front desk to address some of the issues, and exceptional service by the concierge Linda B. for her great recommendations after an exhausting trip. Also, the Ben offered guests the Bruno shuttle - a truly nice service - JerryGerry knows the area and it’s a special treat for guests.

The hotel staff was very kind! From Valet to Restaurant Staff, everyone was very accommodating. Juan in the first floor restaurant was super pleasant. Ruth at the host stand was very nice and made our experience exceptional.

We sat on the patio in the shade and had mimosas and coffees! Ruth greeted us at the front and made sure we were able to get in before breakfast ended. Gorkem was extremely kind and made our whole meal relaxing and enjoyable. Sorry our trip is ending and we can’t come back!

From the time I checked in Julian at the front desk was ON POINT! The hotel was amazing, elegant, and classy. The staff was beyond professional and accommodating. Julian was the best front desk representative I’ve encountered in a long time. Please keep him around he made my entire stay worthwhile with his courteous and professional demeanor. 10/10 !

Great location! Dog friend. Centralized to everything in West Palm Beach. The hotel itself is STUNNING! Large rooms with beautiful artistic decor. Picturesque views and a stunning pool as well. And the food… had a delicious breakfast at Proper Grit with my puppy. Shout out to the amazing staff Gigi, Beijee and Mary J for making us feel like family. The attention to detail was impeccable. Overall, excellent hotel that I would recommend.

Such a wonderful gem of a restaurant and hotel. We really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. The waitstaff, especially GiGi, were fantastic. The housekeepers were even so sweet! We booked the hotel close to a music festival to avoid traffic and parking. Ended up finding a new place to always stay when in this area. Amazing!

We have been to the Ben multiple times this year for work and have had a seamless experience each time! Ruth has always welcomed us at True Grit and Juan has served us in such a hospitable way.

Gigi was our fabulous server both meals and Ruth was our host both times as well. Service was impeccable, and they even went above and beyond to allow us to work on some business documents at our table. We never felt rushed to leave or hurry along. Not only were they great servers and hostesses they were such kind people who made us feel so welcomed. Thank you, Gigi and thank you, Ruth!

The hotel is beautiful, the staff are amazing. There are lots of little extras that make it more of an experience, like the book butler and the rooftop experience. What really stands out is the food. Usually I venture outside hotels to eat because… hotel food. But I have had the most amazing food and service. On arrival I went to grab a quick bite at the bar and Tiffany recommended the Caesar salad. That was by far the best Caesar I’ve ever had. Breakfast was avocado toast with Ruth as the hostess and Juan as server. So friendly and welcoming ❤️ I put down my phone and computer to enjoy. And again, avocado toast may not sound inspiring but it was the best. Both meals remind me that even the basics can be elevated and upgraded. But what makes it even better are the people. I will stay here again when I’m in this area.

The then is always outstanding. From the moment I checked in to my Service for breakfast each morning led by roof and Gigi. The hospitality was outstanding. The food is always excellent and it’s such a warm comfortable experience being at the Ben. It’s the only hotel. I’ll stay at in the Palm Beach area.

Loved this hotel. Great location in downtown WPB. The hotel is hip & modern. My suite overlooked the marina. The room was very comfortable the seat that hung from the the curling overlooking the marina was a nice touch. There are two on site restaurants. I only tried the Proper Grit though but several times. Ashley, Juan & Gigi in food & beverage were very attentive. Id definitely stay here again on my next visit to WPB & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Excellent property & wonderful staff!!

Stayed at The Ben for our anniversary and overall had a very nice stay. The hotel is beautiful, with thoughtful design touches throughout. The rooftop atmosphere was lovely, especially with the live music, and the complimentary shuttle was a great perk that was always prompt. Pool service was excellent—Christopher on the pool deck was especially friendly and attentive. A few service issues kept this from being a 5-star experience. I called two days before arrival to arrange champagne in our room for our anniversary, but despite several follow-ups, it wasn’t there at check-in and took about five hours to arrive. We also ordered dessert through room service, received the wrong item, and then had to request silverware when the correct dessert was delivered. One other thing to note: the pool area is fairly small, and during our stay an outside vodka promotion took over a significant portion of the deck and guest seating for several hours. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return, but I would encourage management to focus on improving service execution and communication, especially for special occasions.

I’m visiting the Ben with a friend and we are so pleased with our choice. The hotel is lovely and the staff is extremely warm and welcoming. The lobby bar is very comfortable and the cocktails were great. The breakfast menu has many great choices. I thoroughly enjoyed my acai bowl. Our waiter, Juan, is a charming and attentive waiter. The hostess, Ruth, fits her role admirably with a warm smile and helpful attitude. This is only day one, but I’m already thinking about a return visit. Definitely worth the 5 stars!
