Soggiorno da sogno,già dal primo momento in cui si apre la porta della stanza e dinnanzi a te si aprono queste vetrate a sbalzo sulla giungla selvaggia,camera spaziosa,pulita,nuova,bagno super…. L’host e la sua famiglia sono fin dal primo momento stati gentilissimi e super accorti nei nostri confronti,la colazione,quasi dopo 1 settimana in Sri Lanka,la migliore! Con prodotti tipici e ottimo assortimento…e anche la cena su ordinazione preparata da loro era eccezionale! Consigliamo l’escursione nella giungla,esperienze indimenticabile anche grazie alla guida Preddy! La posizione è un pofuori da deniyaya,perché chi cerca un luogo magico,dove rigenerarsi tra natura,silenzio e ottimo cibo e la posizione top! Se avete bisogno di un driver chiedete alla struttura di nishan,persona magica!

We hadden een mooie kamer met een prachtig zicht op de vallei. De familie heeft ons heel warm onthaald, zo stelden ze nog voor om samen te gaan kajakken en dat hebben we met alle plezier gedaan. Ook de geplande activiteiten zoals de nachtwandeling en de jungletocht van 10 km werden gedaan door zéér goede gidsen. Zij wisten duidelijk heel veel te vertellen over wat er allemaal te zien is. Ze namen ook steeds hun tijd om onze vragen te beantwoorden. Echt een aanrader! We hebben ook steeds gegeten in het verblijfje en dat was allemaal vers en lekker klaargemaakt.

had an excellent stay at Evergreen Villa. The place is beautiful, very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The staff are absolutely lovely, welcoming and always happy to help. The rainforest is right nearby, which makes the location really special. I also highly recommend the kayaking activity — I had such a great time! It was a wonderful experience, both because of the place itself and the people who work there. I would happily come back! ❤️

Mi è piaciuta la vista, la camera ben arredata con grandi finestroni per ammirare la foresta, il bagno con la doccia stupenda, i soffitto alti con le travi a vista, la colazione, il pranzo, la cena e soprattutto la cordialità dello staff sempre disponibile e con il sorriso. Insomma un angolo di paradiso in mezzo alla foresta pluviale dove alternare relax ed escursioni.

Het is een prachtige villa op een fantastisch mooie plek. We hebben erg genoten van het mooie regenwoud. De eigenaar heeft super mooie en leuke excursies voor ons geregeld. Hele vriendelijke en gastvrije eigenaar en medewerkers. We kunnen deze prachtige plek van harte aanbevelen.

Es war absolut perfekt! Zu aller erst möchte ich die super freundlichen und herzlichen Gastgeber ehren und loben! Wenn du diese Unterkunft buchst übernachtest du in dem Zu Hause einer Familie, die sich ein „Hotel“ aufgebaut haben mit ein paar Zimmern. Das heißt du hast auch echte Ruhe und Privatsphäre und fühlst dich wie bei jemanden zu Besuch. Das ist wirklich eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. Das Essen und auch die Getränke sind super lecker und sie haben viel Auswahl! Sie schlagen von sich aus vor eine feste Uhrzeit zu vereinbaren und zuvor das Essen auszuwählen, dass man essen möchte. Du kommst also zu einem gedeckten Tisch zum Essen fast so als würde dich deine Mutter zum Essen rufen. Wir probierten sowohl das Sri Lankan Frühstück als auch das Western Frühstück und beides war toll. Wenn du Wert legst auf „die perfekte Aussicht“ dann würde ich dir das Zimmer mit Klimaanlage im Obergeschoss empfehlen. Wir hatten das Zimmer ohne Klimaanlage und waren dennoch vollkommen zufrieden. Wir buchten die Full Day Rainforest Tour. Ich muss ehrlich sein, dass diese ziemlich hart war. Ich bereue nicht, dass wir es gebucht haben und bin sehr stolz, dass wir die Wanderung geschafft haben aber es war ziemlich anstrengend. Wir starteten um 07:45 Uhr morgens und kamen zurück um 17:45 Uhr: 19km private Wanderung durch den Regenwald. Wir sahen viele verschiedene Tiere. Um ehrlich zu sein dachte ich jedoch, dass der Fokus mehr auf Tier/ Vögel Beobachtung ausgelegt ist. Der Hauptteil bei unserer Tour war allerdings wirklich das Wandern, Klettern. Wir sind auf einen Berg gewandert und hatten eine tolle Aussicht. Ich würde grundsätzlich aber definitiv die 5/6 Stunden Tour empfehlen. Ich gehe davon aus, dann man dort auch nochmal mehr Tiere sieht und mehr Zeit hat für die Wasserfälle. Die Wasserfälle waren bei uns am Ende der Wanderung als wir schon sehr erschöpft waren. Außerdem gab es für die Tour von der Unterkunft aus 1 Liter Wasser pro Person.

Man sollte berücksichtigen, dass 2,5% Gebühren bei Kartenzahlung anfallen. Deshalb lieber ausreichend Bargeld dabei haben.

Wat een gave plek! Op wandelafstand van de ingang naar het Sinharaja Rain Forest. Vanaf de kamer een super uitzicht door de grote glazen wand. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en maken je verblijf tot een geweldige herinnering! Heerlijk eten, al met al geweldig, ook voor onze kinderen.

Emplacement exceptionnel, Belle chambre spacieuse, jolie salle de bain. Etablissement neuf et très bien entretenu. Très belle vue sur la forêt. Petit dejeuner très bon et copieux. Hôtes agréables, sympathiques et disponibles. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour et nous recommandons vivement cet endroit.

Die Villa liegt fußläufig zum Regenwald-Eingang. Der Führer hat uns abgeholt und je nach Tour auch ein Stück mit dem Tuk Tuk gefahren. Essen in der Villa war gut, in der Umgebung gibt es wenig Alternativen. Bedienung freundlich und bemüht.

Had an amazing stay here, perfect location for visiting the rainforest and they organised a full day tour through the rainforest for me. Although it was quite a challenging hike it was well worth it and my guide Ruan was awesome, he spotted so many animals on the way and knew a lot about the rainforest. Highly recommend!

Incredible location very near to the park entrance! Quiet, calm and serene. Beautiful breakfast also. Although we didn’t go on a hike with Saman, his reputation as an expert guide was shared by park staff and other guides. Any experience you choose to have here will not disappoint!

It was our fault we didn’t book a room with AC. We were quite warm on the mountain view side of the villa. Despite this, our room and view were lovely.

We had a great stay in this comfortable rainforest villa. Everything you might need is available here, with super friendly staff who were very communicative in advance of, and during our visit. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and the bathroom is huge, with fab panoramic views all around the hotel. The owner also helped organise our rainforest tour and kayaking and made us feel at ease throughout. Thank you!!

Beautiful views from the balcony. The room was very nice and cosy - one of the most charming rooms we've stayed in in Sri Lanka. The bathroom, also, was wonderful. Wonderful food as well, we had all of our meals there - do try the curry! :) We had 2 guided tours through them, one night tour through the village and one 6-hour tour through the rainforest. Both were very good - but especially the 6-hour tour through the rainforest was exceptional! We saw so much, and our guide Enoki was very good at spotting animals - we even saw the blue magpie as she recognized the calls.

Fantastische locatie. Schitterend huis in schilderachtige omgeving. Wij hadden ruime kamer met heerlijk bed aan achterkant. Vogels en apen spotten vanaf de eigen veranda. Beneden in de rivier zwemmen. Rustig, alleen natuurgeluiden. Professionele en gastvrije staf. Regelde een uitstekende safari in het vlakbij gelegen wildpark. Heerlijk ontbijt. Kortom een enorme aanrader.

Leider waren wir nur eine Nacht in dieser tollen Unterkunft. Wir wurden super freundlich in Empfang genommen und sämtliches Personal war bemüht, uns einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Wir hatten ein riesiges Familienzimmer mit einem einmaligen Ausblick in den Regenwald. Direkt unter der Unterkunft war auch ein Fluss, in dem man schwimmen gehen konnte. Das Essen war wahnsinnig lecker! Auch die Regenwald-Tour und der Guide waren top!

Hier gibt es fast nichts zu sagen. Preislich war die Regenwald-Tour im Vergleich zu anderen Anbietern etwas hoch angesetzt.

Wunderschöner Urlaub mit einer unglaublichen Aussicht in die Natur! Unten im Fluss kann man einen Waran sehen, der regelmäßig seine Runden dreht. In den Bäumen weiter unten sind immer wieder Affen, Streifenhörnchen klettern herum und überall hört man den Pfau rufen. Wir haben außerdem eine 6-stündige Führung durch den Regenwald gebucht – es war einfach unglaublich, was der Guide alles entdeckt hat. Wir waren 3 Nächte als Familie dort (2 Erwachsene und eine fast erwachsene Tochter) und wir alle waren begeistert! Das Essen sowie die täglich frisch gepressten Säfte waren köstlich. Besonders das sri-lankische Frühstück habe ich geliebt. Wir empfehlen, mindestens 3 Nächte dort zu bleiben, denn man braucht tatsächlich etwas Zeit, um anzukommen und diesen besonderen Ort richtig zu genießen – so etwas kennt man von zu Hause einfach nicht. Vom Bett aus direkt in die Natur zu schauen war wunderschön – wir hatten die Vorhänge nie geschlossen. Tagsüber sind wir gerne auf den Wegen an den Reisfeldern entlang eine große Runde spazieren gegangen und wurden dabei von freundlichen, harmlosen Hunden aus dem Dorf begleitet. Absolut unproblematisch – und wir gehören eigentlich eher zu den skeptischen Menschen. Rückblickend können wir sagen: Die Wahl dieses Hotels und auch die Dauer unseres Aufenthalts waren genau die richtige Entscheidung. Absolut weiterzuempfehlen!

Absolutely loved my stay here. The location is stunning – surrounded by rainforest, and perfect for birdwatching. The rooms are beautifully appointed and filled with natural light. Being quite remote, the onsite restaurant is a real bonus, and they also organise rainforest tours you can walk to from the property. If you can, book a family room facing the canopy for the best views.

Amazing quiet location, with beautiful views and modern furnishings. They organised some great tours on foot straight from the hotel, with skilled guides - Dumidu and Ruan. We would recommend the 6-hour rainforest tour, which was enough time to explore the forest, swim in the waterfall, and see some fantastic animal sightings. The night tour and bird watching tour around the village were excellent too. The Sri Lankan breakfasts were delicious and varied, and we ate at the restaurant for all the meals. We are so glad we came to Sinharaja rainforest and stayed here- don’t miss it!!

Had a great few days here. The owner Saman is wonderful, always ensuring we had everything we needed. Amazing location just a short walk from the entrance to the forest. The villa is lovely, clean comfy rooms. Great value for money. We took 3 tours - 1 early morning bird watching, one night tour, and one full day tour. All 3 were incredible with knowledgable guides. Bird watching tour in particular we saw so many endemic birds. The second tour we saw lots of critters. Highly recommend both of those. Sri Lankan breakfast great.. other food is also great, but sometimes you do have to order a bit ahead of time.. but this is natural for a smaller family-run establishment. We loved our stay here. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to explore Sinharaja.

Schönes Haus mit sauberen Zimmern und großem Badezimmer. Das Essen dort ist sehr lecker und wird immer auf Wunsch frisch zubereitet. Wir haben drei tolle Ausflüge gemacht, die alle vom Gastgeber organisiert wurden. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend! Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt 🙏🏻

Wir waren 2 Nächte da. Als wir ankamen wurden wir sehr herzlich mit einem frischgepressten Fruchtsaft empfangen und konnten direkt die Tour für den Abend buchen. Alles ist super sauber dort. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in der 1. Etage mit Berblick und ohne Klimaanlage. Dafür hatten wir einen Ventilator und haben mit weit geöffneter Tür geschlafen. Ganz toll mit den Geräuschen des Dschungels. Das Frühstück war auch sehr lecker. Die 6 Stundentour am nächsten Tag hae ich mit Inoka gemacht. Sie kennt sich wirklich hervorragend aus im Dschungel und hat mir wirklich unglaublich viele Tiere und Pflanzen gezeigt. Sie ist ein hervorragender Guide.

Sehr herzliche Gastgeberfamilie mit super Service. Sehr gutes Frühstück und Dinner. Zimmer sehr sauber. Toller Blick auf den Fluss und die gegenüberliegenden Berge. Traumhafte Lage in der Nähe eines Eingangs in den NP. Der Eigentümer hat uns 2 super Regenwaldtouren organisiert und auch die Besichtigung einer Teefabrik. Nachdem unser Guide Sam uns den Regenwald und seine Natur (Pflanzen und Tiere) sowie verschiedene Wasserfälle bei unserer 1. Tour super gezeigt hat, haben wir auch unsere 2. Tour mit ihm gemacht. Zum Schluss hatten wir immer Badestellen am Wasserfall mit total klarem Wasser. Das hat richtig Spass gemacht. Wir können Sam als Guide sehr gut empfehlen. Er hat auch super Fotos und Videos von seinen/unseren Entdeckungen (u.a. verschiedene Schlagen- und Reptilienarten, Vögel, Affen usw.) gemacht. Wir empfehlen die Zimmer mit Flussblick. Sie sind deutlich größer.

Prima kamer. Schoon en op een prachtige plek met hele mooie uitzichten. De locatie biedt goede mogelijkheden om te eten en drinken. De ingang van het regenwoud bevind zich op loopafstand, ideaal wanneer je een wandeling met gids boekt.

De weg er naartoe kan uitdagend zijn met volgeladen tuktuk, maar wanneer je rustig rijdt is het zeker te doen.

Die Aussicht allein ist einen Aufenthalt wert! Wir waren eine Nacht da, das Zimmer war sehr sauber und der Inhaber hat uns spontan eine tolle Regenwaldtour organisiert. Das Abendessen ist auch sehr zu empfehlen. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut. Insgesamt tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Alles top!

The rainforest tour organized by the hotel was a complete rip-off. If you decide to stay here, buy the tickets yourself at the entrance and take the official guide from there, you will pay a fraction of the price of what this hotel charges.

Nous avons adoré ce petit coin de paradis situé juste à 200m à pied de l'entrée dans la forêt humide primaire de Sinharaja. Les paysages tout autour sont enchanteurs, entre plantations de thé, cascades, forêt primaire, rizières, il y a pour tous les goûts. La chambre était top, super confortable et propre, avec une vue sublime. Les lits avec des moustiquaires Les repas délicieux, les gérants super professionnels qui vous aideront à découvrir les richesses de la région. Un des coups de coeur de nos vacances.

Wat een prachtig verblijf op een geweldige locatie, vlak bij het regenwoud. Vanaf het moment dat we aankwamen voelden we ons enorm welkom. De host was ontzettend vriendelijk, behulpzaam en altijd bereid om mee te denken, wat het verblijf extra bijzonder maakte. Het eten was echt superlekker: vers, smaakvol en met veel zorg bereid. Alleen daarvoor zou je al terug willen komen. Ook de tour door het regenwoud was een hoogtepunt. De gids was duidelijk gepassioneerd en vertelde met zoveel enthousiasme en kennis dat het regenwoud echt tot leven kwam. We hebben enorm veel geleerd en genoten van elke minuut.

Perfekte Lage für einen Tagesausflug in den Dschungel — Lohnt sich sehr!☺️ wir haben die Touren direkt im Hotel vor Ort ganz unkompliziert für den gleichen Abend und dem Folgerag gebucht- alles hat einwandfrei geklappt. Wir hatten ein ganz tolles Erlebnis und empfehlen eine der Touren zu buchen - unser Guide war super! Das Hotel ist ein Familiengeführtes Hotel - die Gastgeber leben vor Ort und sind sehr gastfreundlich ☺️ auch das Essen war super! Definitiv ein Highlight unserer Reise!

Me gustó todo. Buena habitación, buena cama, buen baño, agua caliente. La comida muy buena y la atención genial, muy amables. A un paso de la entrada al Parque, te proporcionan el guía, que también era muy majo. Muy buenas vistas. Volvería.

Beautiful location and beautiful room. The owner was courteous and charming. Ready with a welcome drink. The room was simply stunning, beautiful linen, comfortable bed with great AC and WiFi. A lovely large balcony overlooking the river and forest. This place is a bird watchers dream!! We had a guided forest walk with a knowledgeable guide and swim option at the end. The following morning we got up at 6.30 and had a guided birdwatching walk both around the property and in the forest. We were rewarded with amazing views of the Blue Magpie. A great morning. We had a lovely meal at the property and an outstanding breakfast. Do yourself a favour and stay here for an amazing experience from start to finish!!

Location and cleanliness

The owner applied double standards to the local guests over foreign guests. Quantity of food portions ordered were noticeably low. The breakfast items indicated in the menu were served to the foreign guests but served something else to us (egg hoppers to the foreign guests but just plain hoppers to us. This is only one example). We were told check out time is 11am while booking says it’s 12pm.

The location is excellent, it is just like some dream. The beds and room was very clean. We could see the rainforest from the bed and so it was very refreshing. Had a hearty chat with my family with the tea served at the backyard with the squirrels running arnd the trees and peacocks in the backdrop.

Saman is an excellent host, and together with his team he did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their hospitality and dedication really stood out. The rooms are large, very clean, and beautifully maintained. Both the bathroom and the view from the room are real highlights and add a lot to the overall experience. The food was excellent throughout our stay. When we arrived, Kavishka, the chef, was testing a new burger bun, so we decided to try the chicken sandwich (submarine), which turned out to be very tasty. One of the highlights of our stay was the 3-hour guided nature walk with Dumidu. He was extremely dedicated and knowledgeable and tried his very best to show us as many animals as possible, which worked out very well. He explained that on the 6-hour and full-day tours, besides wildlife sightings, the experience increasingly includes waterfalls and longer hikes. This is ideal for guests who enjoy extended walks and waterfall experiences. Our personal focus, however, was on wildlife spotting, which made the 3-hour tour ideal for us. The location is another strong point, as the accommodation is only around 2 minutes from the park entrance, allowing quick and easy access to the rainforest. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and the 3-hour hike with Dumidu and would gladly return.

Die Villa liegt unglaublich schön direkt neben dem Nationalpark. Die Zimmer sind extrem modern, sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet und geben einem das Gefühl, direkt im Urwald zu sein. Es waren die besten , die wir in Sri Lanka hatten. Vom Balkon kann man direkt in den Wald blicken und unzählige Tiere beobachten. Wir haben sowohl eine Nacht- als auch eine Tagwanderung über die Unterkunft gebucht und können das sehr empfehlen. Die Organisation klappte reibungslos, die Guides waren top!

Wenn man Curry zu Mittag essen möchte, sollte man dies mit zeitlichem Vorlauf anmelden, da individuell frisch gekocht wird

We booked 1 night with 4 friends at this hotel as it is a very convenient place to start hikes through the Sinharaja forest. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the staff and brought to our rooms. These are very spacious, neat and comfortable. The view from the balcony over the forest is truly mesmerising. During our stay we booked via the hotel 3 hikes. One 3-hour hike, an evening hike, and the day after a 7-hour hike. All hikes were led by passionate guides of the hotel who took their time to show us a variety of animals and plants around the forest. The day hikes ended with a refreshing dive close to a beautiful waterfall.

We had lovely time at evergreen hotel in sinharaja. The view was outstanding, the room was very clean, and the bathroom was big and clean. Saaman the host was helpful and arranged us a guide for a tour in the forest.

Evergreen is a family owned by Saman and his family. A very proper and beautiful place to stay especially if you are visiting Sinharaja forest. It’s typically next door. The room was so big and the view was amaizing. We took the family room that has the air condition. The breakfast offered is very delicious with varieties from Sri Lanka cuisine. Saman was so helpful, arranging for us the forest tour with a sweet guide, and we had just one dinner at his place. He also arranged a Tuk tuk to the village or tea factory. We also had a bless arranging an in room ayurvedic massage by Lakshan and his mother and it was fantastic. A must do after the 6 hours trail. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Recommended!

Maybe a recommendation of adding a net door as we had to count on the air condition all night.

Location was perfect, stunning views and the quiet atmosphere

Absolut traumhafte Lage mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick! Tolles, sehr sauberes Zimmer, schönes Bad und einladende Veranda. Auch die bei der Lodge gebuchte Regenwald-Tour war wunderbar! Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit dort und können die Lodge nur wärmstens empfehlen!

The property was very nice. The rooms we had (air conditioned rooms with two double beds) were squirky clean, very beautifull and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful - specially the owner (Saman) was very understanding and accomodating. It had all the things we needed. We were travelling with toddlers and we had a great time.

I wish the portions of the food from their restaurant were a bit bigger given the proces we pay. But the food were delicious - specially for the breakfast we had, we had a feast.

A beuatiful location in a serene environment by the Sinharaja rain forest. . The rooms were clean, spacious, nicely arranged, and designed to high standards with quality interior. They surpass the expectations you'd develop based on the photos on booking.com. Food at thier family-run restaurant was delicious. The owner Saman is a great nice guy who would personally welcome you upon arrival and care to attend to you requests.

Die Evergreen Villa war für uns ein absolutes Highlight und hat 5 von 5 Sternen mehr als verdient! ​Die Atmosphäre ist unglaublich herzlich, da die Unterkunft familiengeführt wird. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und haben uns sofort das Gefühl gegeben, willkommen zu sein. Das Zimmer war makellos sauber und wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. ​Ein grosser Vorteil ist die fantastische Lage nahe dem Regenwald, die Ruhe und Natur pur bietet. ​Wir möchten besonders die Safari-Organisation hervorheben: Alles hat bestens geklappt, die Tour war top und die Preise sind fair. Das gesamte Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist unschlagbar! Wir sind rundum glücklich und können die Evergreen Villa nur jedem wärmstens empfehlen.

Geweldige locatie met prachtig uitzicht. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en regelt alles voor je, zo had de eigenaar zelfs een gepersonaliseerde taart geregeld voor mijn jarige vriendin. De tours via het verblijf waren ook goed geregeld.

Fabulous location with terrace overlooking the rainforest. Room and bathroom were exceptionally clean.

Food was below our expectations

The location near the rain forest is perfect. If you like spotting birds, this hotel is the Hotspot. Don't look to another place. The owner can explain a lot about birds and we also did the bird watching tour in the jungle. Around the hotel I found numerous beautiful birds. A real pearl if you ask me!

Het uitzicht van op de kamer was magisch 🤩 Zeer ruime en propere kamer, badkamer was top, groot bed…. Zeer dicht bij de ingang van het Regenwoud,… ik raad het iedereen aan! Niet twijfelen.

Csodálatos, hangulatos, meghitt nagyon szép tiszta szállás. Kedves személyzet, mindenre kiterjedő figyelem a részükről.

Prachtige locatie met fenomenaal uitzicht (helemaal vanaf de familie kamer). Bij de ingang van het Rain forest dus loopt zo naar binnen. Wel met gids doen, die zien meer dieren dan jij kunt vinden. Lopen is zeker ook zonder gids te doen want de route is een pad. Gids liet ons onder andere prachtige slangen, spinnen en lizzards zien. De accommodatie is heel schoon, de familie ontzettend behulpzaam. Mensen hebben zogenaamde gunfactor rondom bedrijven van hun guest house. Tip: laat guest house dag van te voren een taxi voor je regelen als je daar weer weggaat. Uber ed in dit gebied minder actief. Wij hadden ochtend tour van een halve dag, voor ons prima, hebben veel kunnen zien en het is nog best inspannend in deze vochtige temperaturen. Aanrader, geniet ervan! En oh ja, kom je met een taxi: laat ze dan even bellen met het guest house voor de route. Anders ben je wat langer onderweg!
