Great location, very nice staff, great restaurants and amazing breakfast !
The room smelled of old carpets - a deep Clean of the carpets is needed. Bathroom very small
Location & room size..
Lacked I usual toiletries like a sewing kit (I needed a safety pin) , a vanity set to name a few. We weren't informed aboit breakfast arrangements or checkout when we arrived and dropping off the car for valet was unclear

Perfect location right on the golf course and walking distance to everything in town. The breakfast/lunch room was beautiful. The staff were warm, welcoming and extremely helpful
The air conditioning in our room did not work all that well.
Great location, great building
No parking
Breakfast was terrific and included! Service, hospitality, and friendliness was outstanding from everyone. Room was very comfortable and the new part was very good
The old furniture, very comfortable, great location
The ac made a noise every hour which disturbed our sleep. upgraded to a king room with sea view but the room was very small for the price paid.
Had a great time at the Rusacks Hotel in St Andrews. A fantastic hotel with excellent facilities, but it was the staff who really made our stay special. They couldn’t do enough for us, particularly Michaela, the Front of House Manager. She managed everything perfectly from the initial booking through to our stay, and any changes we needed were handled effortlessly. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back!
Love this place and it’s location to everything
Beautiful ambience.

Beautiful hotel and rooms in a great location. It lived up to the hype.
Muy bien ubicado y excelente servicio
Las habitaciones algo chicas para el precio
Okay Rusacks, you absolutely did not miss! We started our first morning at The Bridge and what a way to wake up. We were seated in the most adorable little nook overlooking the 18th green and it was genuinely one of those moments where you just stop and soak it all in. The food and service were phenomenal and honestly the most magical breakfast setting I've ever experienced. Then dinner at Rao's that evening. We got the best seat in the house right by the window and the whole space is just chef's kiss. Gorgeous decor, amazing photos on the walls, and such a cool atmosphere. But those meatballs... top 5 meatballs I've had in my life. No notes. Service was absolutely phenomenal. We closed out the trip at 18 Rooftop for drinks and apps on our last night. The views were insane and the vibes were even better. The perfect ending to an unforgettable stay. Rusacks, we'll be back!
Good
It was ok
Beautiful location, exceptional staff, wonderful heritage
I experienced my first British Open at Birkdale then followed that with St Andrews. We stayed behind the Rusacks hotel on Golf Pl. Seamus set the ladies up for brunch at The Bridge the first morning overlooking the 18th hole. I ordered the avocado toast with fried eggs. It was absolutely delicious! The service was also incredible. Next I want to highlight, that evening we went to Raos, the pop up summer spot on the ground floor of the Rusacks. In NYC, it is near impossible to snag a reservation but here we had a beautiful table. I would 10/10 recommend getting the meatballs and chopped salad! Matthew was super attentive recommending drinks as well as dishes. Our last evening we had reservations at another place in town but we were told to check out the rooftop called the 18th. Without reservations we popped at the bar and ordered a few snacks and drinks. The oysters were huge and delicious as well as the sticky chicken and the rolls, of course! Seamus was nothing short of making us feel welcomed and appreciated. Next visit, and there will be a next visit, dinner reservations at the 18th and the hotel stay will have to happen! Cannot wait to see how lovely the rooms are. Thank you St. Andrews for a wonderful first trip!
We Recently stayed in the Townhouse at the hotel for my wife's 40th Birthday celebrations and we were wowed by it. it has everything you could ever need for a family get together. Seamus and the Team had it prepared to perfection for our arrival with Birthday balloons, welcome drinks and a cracking Charcuterie Board. we had Dinner booked at 18 rooftop restaurant we also had a private area on the balcony area reserved for pre dinner celebration drinks. Our meal was amazing as it always is anytime I visit but a big shout out to the servers and waiting staff who looked after us the whole time. breakfast every morning was 1st class as ever with the whole family getting looked after with nothing too much hassle. a massive shout out and thanks to Seamus and his whole team who helped make my wife's 40th celebrations truly 1 to remember for the whole family. we loved every minute and can't wait to go back asap. truly the best hotel experience we have had in the St Andrews area and one we won't forget. thanks guys for everything regards Gavin
Dined with friends in 18 at Russacks a few days ago and was amazed to be welcomed in by the General Manager of the hotel Seamus Coen. We were looked after by Bronwyn who was outstanding and the food and atmosphere was superb. Many pictures taken of a beautiful sunset which made the evening complete. Thank you 18 and Russacks
We visited the Russacks hotel on the occasion of a joint 60/70 family birthday, firstly at the Bridge Hotel where the food across the company had very mixed reviews from Very good, Good to very poor.. when the very poor was reported to the waiting staff .. it was met with no response from the kitchen… Despite this our party decided to take advantage of the exceptional position of the roof top bar … unfortunately if we thought the service in the restaurant was average… we had not seen anything yet to compare with which can only be described as the worst bar service from an individual I have ever experienced ….step forward JJ.. you take this award .i am still astounded at how rude, ill mannered, arrogant and how whilst being completely unaware of these traits you somehow assume you possess any skills to complement your prestigious environment… Simply Russacks a five star location does not deserve the one star treatment you are providing
Outstanding hotel with top notch service. All staff, concierge, front desk, bellman, and restaurant were always eager to help. I never waited more than 30 seconds without someone asking, “Can I help?” The room was lovely with decor that matched the town. Great view of the Old Course and lovely rooftop bar/restaurant. Hats off to The Bridge restaurant staff who out did all other places which was hard since everyone was great. The Bridge provided consistent five star service and kindness. Thank you to the exceptional team at The Rusacks.
Breakfast was excellent
Hard to adjust room temperature
Beautiful location
Finding bedroom very dusty, and bedcover covered in grubby. Mahogany headboard greasy.
Rusacks is very well located next to The Old Course and a 10 minute walk into the town centre. The West Sands beach is a similar distance in the opposite direction. The building has a lot of character and is very well appointed with a lot of character both in the original part and more recent restaurant additions. Our two rooms were very different, one being fairly small and dark, the other, a corner room, a lot larger and brighter, overlooking the street at the front. Although this second one was a free upgrade. Really comfortable beds in both though. We dined in two restaurants in the hotel and the food was excellent in both cases, with the rooftop 18 Restaurant being particularly memorable for the excellent tomahawk steak and sorbets. Breakfast was excellent too, with a wider than usual choice on the menu, and was served at the table rather than being a buffet. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, Lauren and Kelsey being the two names we did get, but all were exceptional and clearly tried hard to deliver service appropriate to the surroundings and overall quality. Our dog was made to feel very welcome and was able to dine with us in one part of the hotel, which was a great bonus. Lastly, free parking was easy to find on the street behind the hotel.
The lift was very slow to appear, the stairs were usually quicker. We would have preferred a choice of biscuits and/or shortbread rather than the Tunnocks Tea cakes supplied on the hospitality tray. But that's about it.

Locations & views
Excellent position. Very good staff. Extremely comfortable hotel.
We think room service should go on later than 10pm. We had arranged pizzas from the Bridge for 9pm but were delayed on the Old Course and were told the kitchen closed at 9. As it happened we got in just before 10pm and managed to get a pizza before room service closed for the night
Stunning views, great rooms, superb staff — The professionalism from Harris and Nelly was outstanding.
The food was unsatisfactory — it didn’t seem locally sourced, only time I’ve had digestion issues in Scotland. The rooftop bar had no local beer or drinks.
Breakfast was served at table - NOT buffet style. I prefer table service.
Everything was first class.
Superb location, well appointed and spotless rooms, and great dining. Worth the price.
Close to where we wanted to be
Small room
The location and rooftop bar are fab
You asked if this was a special occasion and it was it was my wife’s birthday. The girl at the bar even asked and knew but there was no birthday greetings so why bother to ask if nothing comes back? The room was good but the bathroom hook on door was wobbly and the door handle was too. It’s a black handle fitting and has tried to be secured with cheap bright screws and is still wobbly. As for breakfast you have to catch folks attention for more coffee, could be a wee bit more attentive… oh at the bar we had a reserved table on the balcony but I had to ask that they wipe it clean.. and maybe you could advise guests that you have to order at the bar and there is no table service … I give this feedback in good faith and I hope it helps you improve for what is a rather expensive experience for many as it was for me too😊
This was by far the best hotel experience I have had in a long time, and quite possibly my best ever to date. Remi from reception checked us in beautifully, even at the late hour of our arrival. Anastasia from The Bridge restaurant delivered fantastic service at breakfast, delivering us delicious food with a smile. Grace was lovely at checkout, making sure we enjoyed our stay thoroughly and kindly providing luggage storage for us too. Any other staff members that we may have had more brief interactions with, even though I may not have caught their names, also conducted themselves with the utmost care and respect. Last but certainly not least, the hotel itself was gorgeous; our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, with all of the amenities one could possibly need (reception were also delighted to offer any essentials we forgot such as a shaving kit). The common spaces were also immaculate, and overall the atmosphere was perfect, enabling a most relaxing stay. The hotel is also located only a stone’s throw from the Old Course (we even had a fantastic balcony looking out onto the 18th) and just beyond it the pristine beach of West Sands. This, alongside the tranquility of the hotel with very low noise levels, made it great value for your money. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone.
Location
I thought the room allocated was rather disappointing I was shown another room but it was worse
Awesome central location Staff were extremely friendly and helpful If we return we will visit again We would recommend you to others
We arrived at Rusacks for a 3 night stay and had an amazing room overlooking the 1st & 18th fairways of the Old Course at St Andrews Links. The staff here could not have been more helpful from Michaela on reception, Jamie the excellent concierge and Sam at Rao’s. Breakfast in the Bridge restaurant was excellent as was lunch on the Rooftop Terrace. Rao’s has opened its 1st restaurant out of the US and we had the most amazing Meatballs followed by veal ragu and topped off by the most amazing baked cheesecake. What a meal and definitely recommend
Great location. Service was very good.
Rooms are very small but nice
Great location in the centre of the town and views over the golf course and the beaches.
Great accommodating staff at front desk housekeeping and restaurant. Breakfast was excellent and great location.
Darkening shades in room.
Brilliant location.
Staff went above and beyond in every capacity: friendly, helpful, etc.
We were at a great table, great views and lovely afternoon tea items were presented to us. It was quiet so did feel like we were left alone a bit (had to find the waitress to order tea to go with our cakes) but the cakes make up for it UNTIL we started hearing a really unpleasant high pitched sawing noise. I thought it would be annoying for a few seconds then stop but it was constant. I was horrified to see when I looked round that a man was hand sawing joints of meat at the opening of the kitchen just metres from us. It made my stomach turn and we couldn’t eat anymore. I asked a member of staff if they could stop and he said ‘unlikely’ and was really dismissive (not 5 star hotel service by any means). I’m not vegetarian but there something about flesh and bone being sawn beside you that really puts you off your cakes. Really disappointed at the staff response too. The food itself was lovely so it was a damn shame our really special occasion was ruined by that.
We loved the location, views, staff especially George in housekeeping and Laura front desk!
The bar at top of the bldg was snooty and made us feel like peons using the free drink coupons hotel provided because the one under bar was closed.
Excellent location. You can't get better in St Andrews with a view of the 18th fairway and green right outside the window of our nice and spacious room. The bathroom, though luxurious, was not to my taste being a bit Victorian in style (dark green wall tiles) but it probably appeals to the American market which I guess wants something very traditional. The staff were very friendly and attentive. One of the few hotels in the area that welcomes dogs. Overall a very pleasant and hassle free stay, albeit on the pricier side.
No milk was supplied with the English breakfast tea, which itself was a bit weak and bordering on colourless. Milk was quickly provided on request but should be automatic in a 5 star hotel of this price and quality. Otherwise, an excellent served breakfast and no buffet - which is as it should be in such an establishment.
Location, staff are so welcoming, it’s just perfect!
There is nothing not to like!
The best location for golf fan. Great breakfast and service. People very very nice and helpful.
This was hotel number 15 on our tour of Scotland and proved one of the best. Location - The hotel is a short walk from the centre of St. Andrews town centre, The University, St Andrews Cathedral and castle, as well as the East and West Beaches. However the views over the famous St Andrews Old Course, especially the 1st and 18th holes are truly awesome. Walk out of the rear entrance and you virtually walk onto the course, with the Swilken Bridge and Burn a few yards away. If there is one slight draw back is the availability of parking outside the hotel. We had to drive around a few times, before we found parking at the rear. As we found out later it's not the best place to park, as many golf balls don't find the fairway on the 18th. We had booked the hotel parking for our stay, which was a great idea as it turned out. Staff - All the Staff were excellent from the Concierge, who were really great in getting our luggage to our room and getting our car into the hotel parking. As well as the return service when we left. Reception Staff were very professional and our check in went smoothly. The Restaurant Staff we found were a little below par and breakfast always seemed a little chaotic. This was especially evident with the plates and dishes that had been used not being cleared away and some of the cups not properly cleaned. For a hotel of this class, we found disappointing. Still this didn't spoil our stay. Room - Just excellent!!! Over looking the 1st and 18th Holes of the Old Course and West Bay, we could not have asked for better. The room itself was spacious, clean and tidy. A great king size bed we had two comfortable nights sleep. There were all the essentials one need for tea and coffee, plus a mini bar. Sundowners on the balcony in the evenings were magic, coffee in the mornings, watching the early tee offs. The on suite bathroom and shower, came with every amenity and the bathrobes and towels were extra "Fluffy" lol. Food - Breakfasts were delicious. A great selection of Juices, fruit, yoghurts coupled with lots of cold meats and cheeses. Pastries and Croissants to die for. However even this was surpassed by their amazing full Scottish sunnyside-up eggs to perfection, with crispy bacon and the Eggs Benedict, simply delicious. This is definitely one of the best hotels we stayed at in Scotland and was worth every penny. The extra for parking was a great idea. If you are looking for a hotel in St. Andrews you'll not go wrong with The Rusacks.
Another great trip to St Andrews and another memorable stay at Rusacks. I am loyal, returning Rusacks guest and have been fortunate to have stayed there on all of my visits to St Andrews. Over the years, I have gotten to know the wonderful front desk team of Laura, Michaela, Isla, Grace, and Lauren along with the great Concierge staff of Jamie, Lukasz, Bruce, and Claudia who are not only extremely professional but incredibly nice and available to assist with any request. Without a doubt Rusacks has the best location in St Andrews overlooking the Old Course’s 18th hole, but what keeps me coming back is the people. Can’t wait for my next visit. Highly recommend.
Amazing views of St Andrews from the room.
Roof top restaurant was right above our room (807) and lots of noise with tables and chairs getting moved around up until late in the night.
Location, attention to detail from staff, every effort made to make you feel welcome
Nothing to dislike
Our kids treated us to a stay here and it was fantastic. Right on the course we had the perfect view. Comfy room, good breakfast and charming staff.
The ambience the style.
We visited 18 at the Rusacks for cocktails. Despite plenty of staff being available the service was awful and no where near matching the price of drinks.
As a pre 45th wedding anniversary treat we thought we’d have lunch in St Andrews. We went to the Old Course hotel but as the man at reception was so abrupt and unwelcoming we left and headed up the hill to the Rusacks Hotel. The staff here were the complete opposite and were so friendly and welcoming. We had lunch in the Bridge restaurant and we’ll definitely go back. When we arrived, Becky went out of her way to seat us at the windows overlooking the old course and sea. She didn’t even know it was a special occasion and treated us so well. Our waitress was called Laurie and she anticipated anything we might need and was so helpful and attentive. The food was lovely as was the wine and the whole experience was a joy. Thank you. We are now looking at coming to stay at the hotel in the summer with our family.
We stayed here for two nights recently and we will definitely be back! The welcome at check in was warm and informative when paired with the beautiful foyer area, made a great start to our visit. The room was amazing; it was spacious, well equipped and had an air of elegance. The decor was modern but also traditional, a balance that is hard to achieve. The bed was so comfortable and even with Storm Dave, we slept wonderfully. We had a stunning sea and golf course view that could rival views abroad. The bathroom was also contemporary whilst maintaining traditional features. It was impeccably clean and well maintained. We had the pleasure of eating in both the roof top restaurant and The Bridge. We preferred the rooftop restaurant and would definitely recommend it due to the attentiveness of the staff and the delicious, high quality food! The wine and cocktails were fantastic too. The bar area has a relaxed and calming feel, where again the staff are friendly and professional. Breakfast at The Bridge was lovely. The pancakes with clotted cream were dreamy and I only wish I had had this both days. The One Under Bar also had a chilled and cosy vibe. The food looked good and we would definitely try it if we stayed again. What was nice about this hotel is that although it has a 5* rating, people seemed free to dress as they felt comfortable; some more casual and relaxed whilst others matched the splendor and grandeur of the setting. Thank you for a superb stay. It was definitely worth the 5 hour drive!
Excellent experience from the moment we entered the hotel foyer we had such a warm reception by all the Team and especially Gordon who chatted interesting facts about the hotels history and how to get the best from our stay. Thank you so much.
From entering The Rusacks hotel my friend and I were greeted by the concierge who introduced himself to us as Gordon. The warm welcome we received from him and the girls on the reception was exceptional. Gordon escorted us through the hotel offering us interesting facts about its heritage. His enthusiasm and attention to detail while guiding us through the room was both impressive and informative. Laura and Grace couldn’t have done enough for us. The staff made our one night stay a memorable experience. I would definitely come back to The Rusacks hotel and look forward to the warm welcome that I know I will receive from Gordon and all the other staff.
Fantastic location and hotel is superb - had a room overlooking the first tee and it is the view which sells this hotel
The foyer and general areas were cold . Also the water in room - shower and bath was lukewarm not hot
What a wonderful experience at The Rusacks Hotel. We stayed for a week with a group of friends. Coming back to the Rusacks is like visiting an old friend - you know you are always welcome and made feel comfortable. The staff are unbelievably helpful. Concierge Jamie helps with every request or question. Jack who was in charge of dining room on several days even went to the trouble of having my morning beverage waiting for me! We had wonderful meals at the 18, fun times in the One Under Pub and great breakfasts at the Bridge. The General Manager, Seamus Coen made several trips to our party checking on our needs. Our room had a magical view of the old course iconic 18th hole plus the wonderful beach made famous by Chariots of Fire. The location of the hotel makes the St Andrews experience exceptional in a country known for their hospitality.
Luxury on the course! The whole vibe is old world golf charm.
The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Lovely location.
Lift was out of order during our stay.
If you’re looking for a place to stay in St Andrews, Rusacks St Andrews is hard to beat. It sits right by the Old Course, and being able to walk out and immediately be in the center of it all makes a real difference. The hotel itself is beautifully done. The decor feels rich and thoughtful without being over the top. We especially loved the parlor room with the snooker table. It was a great place to unwind in the evening, and the fireplace added a nice, cozy touch. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and everything felt easy from check-in to departure. Our room was spotless and very well maintained. It’s one of those places where you notice how clean and cared for everything is right away. We also had dinner at 18 at Rusacks, which we would absolutely recommend. The views are incredible, and the food lived up to them. Overall, a fantastic stay and an easy 10 out of 10. We would definitely come back.
I recently stayed for three nights at Rucksack’s Hotel in St Andrews, and it exceeded expectations in every respect. From the outset, the welcome was both warm and professional, immediately setting a high standard. Seamus Coen and his team are a credit to the hotel—delivering service that is polished, attentive, and consistently guest-focused without ever feeling forced. What truly sets this property apart is its unrivalled location overlooking the first tee and 18th green of St Andrews Links. Breakfast each morning, served against that backdrop, is a standout experience and one that elevates the stay well beyond the ordinary. The accommodation itself is finished and maintained to an excellent standard—spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully presented. Every aspect of the stay ran seamlessly, reflecting a well-managed and detail-oriented operation. In summary, this is a hotel that understands exactly what it is and delivers it exceptionally well: first-class service in a truly iconic setting. I would not hesitate to recommend it and look forward to returning.
We had an amazing stay at The Rusacks! The rooms were beautiful and cozy - the views, restaurants and service were top notch. The GM Seamus and his team were so professional and fun! Will definitely recommend The Rusacks to family and friends. I plan to return!
Second time here is even more of a charm! What a lovely experience yet again. This time brought even more family. Everyone had a wonderful time! All the staff were so pleasant, accommodating and friendly. Shout out to Seamus for bringing the fun and warmth to our weekend! Can’t wait to comeback! Megan G
Rusacks is a beauty hotel in a wonderful location overlooking the 18th and 1st fairways of the Old Course at St Andrews. It is exceptionally well managed by Seamus and his very friendly and courteous staff. The bedrooms are very comfortable with a great selection of breakfasts available to suit all tastes. There is a certain magic about St Andrews I would highly recommend staying at Rusacks if you are ever planning to visit.
Outstanding experience in an iconic hotel with Outstanding views of the 18th old course i St Andrew's. Hotel staff were very hospitable and offered a professional and memorable stay.
If you are looking for the quintessential St. Andrews experience, look no further than Rusacks. For our group, this isn’t just a hotel; it’s a pilgrimage. Every March, we travel here for the St. Columba’s golf charity evening, and there is truly no better "home base" in Scotland. The Atmosphere & Location The location is legendary—perched right on the edge of the Old Course—but it’s the warmth inside that keeps us coming back. Even in the brisk March weather, the hotel manages to feel incredibly cozy and welcoming. Looking out over the 18th green while preparing for a charity event is a feeling that never gets old. World-Class Service What truly sets Rusacks apart is the team. Séamus and the rest of the staff are absolute masters of hospitality. Year after year, they remember the small details and handle our group with a level of care that makes us feel like family rather than just guests. Whether it's coordinating the logistics for the charity evening or ensuring we have everything we need after a cold round on the links, the service is seamless and sincere. The Verdict Between the stunning views, the top-tier dining, and the exceptional staff, Rusacks is a gem. If you’re coming for the golf, you’ll stay for the people. We’re already counting down the months until next March. Sláinte!
Fantastic venue, friendly staff, excellent food. We were so well looked after by staff and management. Rooms were first class.

Recently had a great experience of staying here for 3 nights as we played in a charity golf event in the area. It is the perfect base for any group of golfers playing in the area who like to stay in clean , comfortable and classy surroundings. Rooms were clean and spacious , breakfast on top floor was quality with an added extra of the balcony view over the 1st & 18th fairways of the Old Course . We enjoyed a warm welcome by general manager Seamus and his amazing team 👏 The " One Under " bar was a great place to finish the day off with a great atmosphere 😀 Easily 5 stars 🌟
Another great stay at this amazing hotel. Seamus and his team are always great hosts.
Would highly recommend this hotel, great location and fantastic service, all over seen by Seamus who will be missed dearly when he decides its time to move on.
What a fantastic place! Everything about our visit went beyond what we expected. The true highlight was Laura, she is the epitome of customer focus and is an absolute asset to the establishment. It was a pleasure to deal with Laura and her team. We’re already excited for our next visit!
The breakfast was very good. Fantastic views from the breakfast restaurant. Very friendly service and plenty to chose from. The rooftop bar is exceptional as well. It is just the place to be. Just the location of the Rusacks - something magic...
Our room was not very spacious. Very cold. Poorly sealed windows. Very comfy bed though. Room service was mediocre - a little impatient at times.
Breakfast room an breakfast was great
Ideal location, helpful and enthusiastic staff (especially Lucas who welcomed us and took us to our rooms)
One Under Bar was a bit tired and needed upgraded
The location was fab. We had breakfast and ate in the restaurants and the food was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful polite and very friendly.
A little disappointed the lifts to the bedrooms weren’t working as had and elderly man with us.
Staff very very polite and friendly. Room was exceptionally clean and very comfy bed.

An absolutely stunning property on the edge of the St Andrews Golf Course. The views from the 18 Restaurant over the course, sea and sands were spectacular. The staff were great, could not do enough to help with everything, pleasant and very friendly.
The only very small drawback was the parking. Although we were very lucky and able to park very close to the hotel
Hotel is beautiful, classy and location ideal. Just a couple of negatives to mention. Our fridge stopped working second day, and as we were about to go for breakfast i reported it for second time. The maintenance man came in and said ‘someone turned it down’ … it certainly wasn’t us, and there was no light either. Also the toilet has a soft and long flush. The soft flush stopped working after first night. Then the long flush also stopped working final morning. Again reported this, same maintenance man said ‘you have to give it time to refill’…. A bit of an insult considering it was left all night and hadn’t ‘refilled’ by morning. Don’t get me wrong, we really loved the character and style of the hotel and the staff were all very efficient. Just think the maintenance man needs to give some credit to his customers and not apportion blame onto others or insult their intelligence. One other thing was at breakfast i asked for crispy bacon. On first morning it was chargrilled and very tasty. The second morning i didn’t ask for crispy bacon and it was ‘peely wally’ i think it was in the pan for 2 minutes, so very undercooked. We would go back again as hotel is lovely and these points are minor in the scale of things but a true reflection of our experience.
Another 5 star stay - from start to finish - at Rusacks in St Andrews. From the uber professional staff on reception to the food/ beverage/ knowledgeable staff at Restaurant 18, with its unrivalled ambiance and outlook over the Old Course and the West Sands, an incredible guest experience which in my opinion is unsurpassed in Scotland.
We’re just back home after a 3 night stay at Rusacks St. Andrews. The hotel is in an amazing location beside the Old Course golf course and West Sands beach. Our room looked out over the 1st and 18th hole with the beach in the distance. Stunning. Room was perfect. Very comfortable bed and pillows. And 2 very comfortable armchairs and footrest to enjoy the spectacular views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The 18th restaurant was so good we ate there every evening!!! We would highly recommend.
Spacious room overlooking the beach and golf course.
Well what can I say about this Hotel , Just WOW, stunning Hotel , room stunning , breakfasts very good , bar prices very pricey, fantastic location 3 min walk from bus station , 5 min walk to market street , will definitely be going back , fridge and drinks in room but pricey , just take your own, 2 x cocktails , a Margarita & an Old Fashioned £30.65 wow , but for a let’s spoil ourselves couple of nights I would highly recommend .
Fantastic location, right across from the Golf course. I was initially impressed by the hotel and the staff were very welcoming. Unfortunately things went down hill. On entering my room I was met with a ceiling that was covered in patched paintwork which was so noticeable. Then my bottle of Prosecco was delivered by the porter. No knock on the door - straight in! Dinner, was in The Bridge restaurant. The service was so slow, my main course, arrived without the sides. They took so long, we cancelled them, as the main course was almost finished. The staff did apologise and offered a free drink. The breakfast, also in The Bridge restaurant, was a 20 minute wait in the corridor until a table was available and I again the, staff did apologise, but this hotel is a 5 star hotel and this is not acceptable standards.
