I booked a room at Hotel Kämp for one night a few days before my birthday. I chose their SPA and stay package, which included breakfast, late check-out and spa access. Pros: Arrival experience was done smoothly. All the receptionists at the front desk were occupied; however, their concierge greeted me and said she could also check me in at the concierge desk so I didn’t have to wait. She also remembered that I had stayed here before and welcomed me back. This gave me a welcomed feeling and a great start to my stay. I was upgraded to one of their new executive rooms with a park view. The room was stunning and luxurious. There was also a lovely welcome gift and card in the room. During the night, the room was quiet and I got a good night’s sleep in the bed. They were also able to accommodate my early check-in request. In recent years, Hotel Kämp has been under renovations, which are finally nearing completion. This time, the new spa was finally finished. The new one is significantly larger than the original and has a pool and multiple saunas, as well as a lounge area a bit smaller than what the Ritz has in Paris but nonetheless luxurious. Dining experience in the bar, lounge and breakfast were also on the positive side, both in terms of the quality of food and service as well as atmosphere. Cons: I didn’t experience any cons during my stay, and I hope to have the opportunity to stay at Kämp again in the not-so-distant future!

The service is, overall, superb. The room was lovely — spacious, well cared for and spotlessly clean. Housekeeping is remarkable: everything is put back in its place, right down to a T-shirt left on the sofa being neatly folded. The lounge is a lovely option for an afternoon snack (extending the opening hours would be worth considering), and the lady who looks after it is delightful — warm, welcoming, happy to chat and to entertain guests. Breakfast is excellent as well, with impeccable service. A special mention goes to a young blond man at the entrance, whose name I never caught, who also carried my luggage up to my room. I apologised for having no cash to tip him and he replied that he wouldn't have wanted anything anyway. He always greeted me with a smile and could not have been more helpful. The one downside: on two mornings I was woken at 7 a.m. by building works below my room. Of course the hotel isn't responsible for the works themselves, but at check-in I had specifically asked whether my room faced the pedestrian street, as I didn't want one overlooking the courtyard. At that point the staff must have mentioned the works or offered me a different room. A hotel of this standard cannot afford to leave guests uninformed about this kind of event.

I stayed at Hotel Kämp from 22–26 August for 4 nights in an Executive King room. Situated, as they say, in the heart of Helsinki, it made exploring the city very easy while having this wonderful hotel as a base. Even though I caught a cold and fell sick for a few days during my stay, it actually gave me more time to experience the hotel itself, and to say the least, I felt right at home at Kämp! The room was truly top-tier: exactly the luxurious, grand-hotel feeling I was expecting. Clean to the brim, spacious, and with very nice furnishings and toiletries - the whole nine yards. It even had a “sort of bidet,” which I appreciated as many hotels don’t have them. And a little bath duckie I took quite the liking to! 🐥 One excellent detail was the 24/7 housekeeping, which you could request through their web app. You could leave your room whenever you wanted and immediately ask for it to be serviced. This is AMAZING because you can organize your days much more freely without depending on housekeeping windows. I haven’t seen this at other “upscale” hotels I’ve stayed at. The only real quirk with the room was the lighting. There were four preconfigured modes with rather obscure symbols, and no way to control individual lights or their intensity. At night I wanted the room dimmer, but there was simply no way to do that. Just a strange design. I requested room service multiple times and it was excellent: prompt, reliable, and with a good menu including several delicious “Kämp signatures.” Unfortunately, I fell sick during the latter part of my stay and spent a couple of days mostly in bed. I kept the DND sign on and was never disturbed, which I really appreciated as I had raging headaches. I could also have food delivered and left at my door. Between that, room service and how comfortable the room was, it was immensely helpful while I recovered. Breakfast on the 2nd floor was probably the weakest part of the stay. In my experience it was always pretty crowded, which made it uncomfortable to eat with other guests practically at elbow’s length. The buffet and made-to-order plates were okay, but nothing particularly memorable. You could also tell the staff were overwhelmed by how busy the area was, which felt more like an organizational issue than anything to do with them personally. My room also included access to the Executive Lounge, although I expected more. It was the least-stocked hotel lounge I’ve encountered to date, with very little in both the amount and variety of snacks available. I only ended up going once. I sadly wasn’t able to try the recently renovated spa, which I’ve heard very good things about. Maybe another time. All in all, I was delighted with my stay at Kämp. The room, housekeeping and service were genuinely excellent and gave me the luxurious experience I was hoping for. Breakfast and the Executive Lounge could both be improved substantially, but I felt extremely comfortable here and would happily return.

I went for a long weekend trip to Helsinki with my son and chose this hotel based on the reviews and location. I had requested our rooms to be close to one another and we were given inter-connecting which was appreciated. Both were available when we arrived (even though it was before official check-in time and the hotel was busy) which is always a nice start to a trip. The rooms are tastefully decorated with decent sized en-suites including a bath tub and separate showers. Lots of thick, fluffy towels were provided and good quality toiletries. All members of staff were friendly and helpful, particularly a lady in concierge who helped us organise a few trips (unfortunately I can’t remember her name!). The only slight negative (and hence 4 stars in my review) was although the breakfast was perfectly adequate, it was nothing special. Also, there is an outside seating area by the entrance for eating/drinks but each time we thought about stopping when returning to the hotel, it was always fully occupied so we always had to have drinks in the bar or wander further along to cafes with more outside seating available.

Bel hôtel dans excellent emplacement, la visite d'Helsinki se fait à pied à partir de l'hôtel. Bar de l'hôtel beau avec de très bons cocktails et des serveurs attentionnés.

Ce n'est pas un point négatif en soit, mais peut être offrir plus de choix au petit déjeuner (qui est très bon au demeurant)

I ended my trip around Finland with a night at Hotel Kämp in Helsinki and it was a real treat. I stayed in one of the new Park Suites overlooking the Esplanade — spacious, beautifully finished and extremely comfortable. The separate sitting room and view over the Esplanade made it feel particularly special. What really stood out, though, was the service. Everyone I encountered was warm, friendly and professional without being overly formal. An excellent breakfast, a very good martini in Kämp Bar and a Park Suite I could quite happily have stayed in for a few more days. A lovely way to end my Finnish travels. 🇫🇮

Horrible noise from AC or something. It was a nightmare to sort that out with the personnel. Ended up changing the room. They gave us a free champange, which was nice.

Superb hotel. Second stay. Even better. Old style but modern facilities. Very central. Allows one to walk everywhere. Staff very friendly and efficient - Maria and Jenni at reception, Rosa on concierge and breakfast crew were all brilliant. A Bolt or Uber from airport is easy but also near stations. We had two rooms both spacious and very well lit. Highly recommended. Strawberry and Leading Hotels of the World.

A very good hotel with very attentive staff. Rooms very good and bathrooms as well. The bar just to the right seems to be a hotspot. Very nice athmosphere with a mixtiure of all ages, Breakfast room and staff excellent. Such sa lovely room. Next year a big brand new spa will open.

A great hotel in an amazing location with excellent service in a beautiful historic building. We truly enjoyed our stay here and everything was close to perfect. We would love to revisit this hotel if there is an opportunity and strongly recommend it for a classy stay in the heart of Helsinki!

I had the best meal in 3 weeks in Europe I’ve been to Italy and Malta however the decor left a lot to be desired it did not welcome summer it was dark and I thought it was winter .Summer should be celebrated and you can’t sit outside to enjoy midsummer except for a small area that does serve dinner what is this hotel and management thinking !!! Think again

- Se että wc:stä puuttuu bidee! En ehkä enää majoitu uudestaan teillä, koska tarvitsen sairauden vuoksi bideetä. (En voi koko ajan riisua mennäkseni suihkuun.) Olkoonkin että kylppärissä on 2 suihkua mutta en voi ymmärtää että UUSITUISTA huoneistakin se puuttuu. Paha moka, todella! No jaa… En tiennyt saako vesipulloista juoda, jotka on pöydällä eli pitikö niistä Maksaa. Jätin Avaamatta, kun ajattelin että niistä pitää maksaa. Laittakaa teksti ” free” jos on ilmainen! P.S. Ruma moderni taideteos seinällä!

Being a seasoned traveller and having stayed at this hotel for 9 nights gave me the opportunity to gauge the hotel. It ticks all boxes in a an exemplary way. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff in all areas of the hotel (take a particular bow at the Front Desk), excellent dining opportunities, a first- class breakfast (and service) and up to the minute extremely comfortable, and well serviced, accommodation. There is absolutely nothing not to like about this hotel

One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. We stayed at Hotel Kämp for nearly a week, and from the moment we arrived, the hospitality was extraordinary. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive. They remembered us, greeted us by name, and made us feel like regulars by day two. The rooms were impeccable and the service exceptional at every turn. We ended up eating most of our meals at the hotel simply because it was that good, and the breakfast buffet was a highlight every morning. The location is unbeatable: completely walkable, with wonderful food and shops right outside the door. Honestly, we booked an Airbnb partway through our trip and ended up leaving it to come back to the Kämp. That's how much we loved it. We would 100% stay here again and can't recommend it enough.

This was promoted as a very classy hotel and that’s exactly what it was. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were superb!

We had a few days off and decided to book a staycation trip at Hotel Kämp for one night trough the Leading hotels of the world. Pros: Pre stay communication with the front dest went about our early check-in request went smoothly. On arrival they were able to accommodate our request we got our room early, and it was possible to get a late check-out as well. The receptionist who checked us in was welcoming and remembered that we had stayed here before and welcomed us back. She also told us that they had upgraded us from a Deluxe room to a larger Executive room, which we appreciated. The room was beautiful, luxurious and spacious. The bed was of high quality and we got a good nights sleep. The marble bathroom was also of high quality and gave a luxurious feeling. Furthermore it was a great touch that they gave us a hand written welcome card and a small welcome gift. We asked one of the porters when we went sightseeing if it was possible to get an extra blanket in to the room. He said that they’d sent one over. When we returned to the room we noticed that they had put one into our room. When we later went for dinner the same man asked us when we walked by if we had in fact received the blanket. This gave us a good impression of that there was follow trough towards guest’s requests from their part. The dinning experience in the hotel bar was also on the positive side. Both the food and service were of high quality. Breakfast was also to our liking and gave us a great start to the day. Cons: Overall our stay went very smoothly and we didn’t experience any major cons. We hope to get the opportunity to stay at Hotel Kämp again in the not so distant future!

I stayed here for two nights with my wife and daughter. I booked through AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts, and booked into an Executive King with an extra bed for my daughter. When we checked in, were were given the AMEX benefits and told that we had been upgraded from the Executive Room to a Park View Executive Room. Big deal right? Actually, with that one little upgrade to a room with a view we also got access to the Upper Lounge. The Upper Lounge is open from 2:00 - 6:00 each day and offers wine, champagne and light snacks. It isn't like most hotel lounges with loud noises and TV's; it is refined and nice. We took advantage of it on both nights of our stay. The room was a recently renovated room and it was very nice, though admittedly I should have booked a larger room for the three of us. For two nights, it worked just fine. The room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. The bathroom was huge! A very large walk in shower, two sinks, bathtub, and a crapper. We stayed in May, which means there is like 20 minutes of night time; the blackout curtains worked great for us. The location of the hotel was good for us. My wife and daughter did some (not much, but some) shopping on the fancy street where the hotel is located. In the mornings I walked out to the park and down to the bay / port / whatever. When we went to Suomenlinna, it was an easy walk and we got some fresh, amazing strawberries for my daughter along the way. We ate breakfast both mornings in the breakfast restaurant. The staff was very attentive and the food was good. We had out choice of the buffet plus eggs prepared as ordered. I think there were some other items we could have ordered off the menu as well. My wife and I loved the things that were called Traditional Finnish Pancakes on the buffet. They seemed like a mix of a pancake, crepe and French toast; very good. We ate both our dinners in the hotel bar. The service was good and the food was good, though I ordered a beer before dinner one evening to take to the room and got the "...you can leave a tip if you want..." line that I noticed none of the locals got. Anyway. I had salmon soup both nights and it was very good; like great. The girls got chicken Caesar salads and fries both nights and those were good as well. The staff at the check in desk was great; incredibly professional and friendly. This was a real good stay in a nice hotel. We're thrilled with the experience and would definitely visit again (though I don't see us back in Helsinki). It is a well run hotel with good bones and nice on-site amenities.

This was a long awaited and wonderful weekend in Helsinki. Hotel Kamp is at the heart of Helsinki - walking distance to all the places we wanted to visit (Cathedrals, harbour, library, parliament, Sibelius Music School and the Sibelius Monument). Depite their being some upograding works during our visit - they didnt interupt our visit at all and were indeed largely invisible. We were really luck to have an upgrade and the room was roomy, gorgeous, bright and with the perfect bathroom! And always spotless thanks to the housekeeping team. Each and every staff member was warm, friendly, professioanl and so proud of the heritage of the hotel - making our experience even better. Teriffic bar tenders - make a great old fashioned! The excutive lounge provided a delightful and calm afternoon respite from the miles and miles of walking around the city.

The hotel itself is simply gorgeous. The rooms are nicely done, we had a newly refurbished room and it was stunning. Location was spot on. Centrally located. Service within the hotel was top notch. Loved ending the evening with a glass of wine in the bar. Lovely ambiance.

The breakfast buffet, while good, was a bit pricey.

Location is perfect for a visit to Helsinki. Centrally located close to all major attractions and shops.

Beautiful hotel with newly renovated large bathroom. Exceptional customer service. The front desk go out of their way to help with organizing activities, restaurant reservations and transportation. They even put a bag together of items we would need for sauna and delivered it to our room. It’s in a fantastic location.
