I like everything about the Ambassador this is my and my WHANAU no1 Motel when we stay in Hamilton

This round I fort the chef kept on over cooking the Bacon which was very disappointing

My friend and i lefti the hotel straight away didn't like nice

The staff on reception was very good. Room comfortable, breakfast was very good. Lovely lady in breakfast restaurant and friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay.

It was very clean and provided everything we needed including car parking and a hot bath.

the shower was very disappointing. Could not adjust the shower head and the water pressure was very poor.

Staff friendly.

Tv didn’t work. Even after help from staff. Fan in bathroom unable to be turned off until 10pm with all other rooms on a timer.

We really enjoyed our stay! The bathroom was one of the highlights, it was nice, clean, and fully stocked with quality toiletries and plenty of fresh, fluffy towels. The bed and linens were also very comfortable and spotless. We appreciated the secure room doors and swipe-access main doors, which gave us peace of mind during our stay. The kids especially enjoyed the hot tub! There were also plenty of parking spaces, which was very convenient. The location was great too, with restaurants, pubs, and Pak’nSave all nearby. Overall, a clean, comfortable, convenient place to stay and definitely great value for money. We’d happily stay here again!

The buffet breakfast could have had a little more variety in the food options. Other than that, we were very happy with the service. The buffet staff were really pleasant, friendly, and provided great customer service.

I liked the location, staff was friendly.

The air conditioner / heater was a major problem during my stay. It made strange electrical and water-like noises continuously, even when it was switched off. Because of this, I couldn't sleep properly and woke up many times during the night. The staff were friendly and offered me another room the following day. Unfortunately, when I checked the other room, it had exactly the same issue, so I decided to stay in the original room. There is definitely something wrong with the air conditioning system in the building, and it seriously affected the quality of my sleep. I also expected more variety from the breakfast.

The staff were lovely to deal with, the room was tidy and clean as always. Location is second to none, right in the heart of Hamilton.

Great accomodation, very room and great set up for families plenty of space, clean, beds were comfy, bathrooms clean.

Loved the bed, it was so comfortable and had the best sleep. Liked the sky sports channels and location, close to everything

Limited cutlery, only had teaspoons, small mugs, no plates, toaster or microwave. Air con did not work well and was loud.

Great location, handy to local supermarket, plenty of food options nearby, heaps of parking, easy to access and get onto motorway

A little worn, bathroom fan goes from 6am-10pm and something was making a sound like running water, unsure if it was the heat pump or fridge.

I liked the pool area even though I didn’t get to swim as it was cold and the pool is located in a cold area of the hotel. I liked the breakfast buffet it was amazing but almost all the food needed to be refilled and it took quite a while for it to be topped up again, bit overpriced if you ask me.

I didn’t like the fact that my tv did not work at all, even when staff came up and attempted to fix it, it only worked for 3 minutes then lost signal. It was like that for my entire (1 night) stay, I told receptionist and they said they would go check once we’ve already checked out. I stay around to wait for her answer and she says I just checked it’s working but no it had to be a lie as I tried every button lastnight, I got this hotel for my kids to watch tv and it was really boring for them to not have a tv. Wouldn’t recommend

Could do with a refresh but the price probably reflects this. The tiling in the bathroom areas were absolutely freezing!

Central, parking available so we walk around since i busy area is better just to walk but everything is closeny evan Pak n save across the road. Beds and place were clean and tidy suitable for my family with 2 kids. I also like the options to check out late at 2pm which we did so we can sleep in, have breakfast, swim before check out

I’d never been to this hotel before and someone else made the booking so I really didn’t know what to expect. I was only there for one night, but it was a particularly enjoyable experience. So many little details contributed, along with fantastic customer service. Some of the highlights were: - Comfy bed with good quality pillows. - Shower with strong water pressure and good temperature control. - Desk with easily accessible power points. - Normal coat hangers, not those ridiculously fiddly anti-theft ones. - Great range of toiletries, including a proper bar of soap. - A door that actually stays open. - Light switches which don’t require you to insert a card. - Well-stocked minibar. - Really fluffy towels. But most importantly, the hotel has a wonderful team of staff. Everyone I spoke to was genuinely friendly and helpful, from the front desk team to the housekeeper I had to apologise to for checking out a teeny weeny bit late. There are a lot of larger (and much more expensive) hotels that could learn plenty from the team at Hamilton’s Heartland Ambassador Hotel. Thank you so much!

I did like, the convenience of being close to amenities. The breakfast option, pool and spa with a cafe onsite was an added bonus. Staff were great!

The toilet/bathroom was smaller then expected. Other then, that it was a decent room for just an overnight stay. With the baskets that some hotel/motels have on display like this one to offer full with snack food and fridge with water/fizzy drinks. There's definitely a price tag to add to it if your not too, careful. Keeping in mind, there is a price card available that has the cost to these products that are consumed.

It was close to the town, easy to access. Free parking. Swimming pools available.

Water pressure in the shower was very poor.

Lovely comfortable 2 bedroom unit. Everything was just as i would have wanted. Added bonus of a bathtub. (Granddaughter loved it). Lovely and clean, very central and reasonable price.

Didn't realize i had booked upstairs room. That was a challenge for me carring bags up stairs with walking difficulties.

Our frodge didnt work and we have food and drink we needed to be cold. Lucky we could use our friends ine but disappointed that it wasnt working and had warm milk for our coffees. Showers were horrible, and very sensitive so the gap between scalding hot and freezing cold was a millineter to the left. Also no pressure

Great 3 night stay at the Ambassador. We were down for a 2 day bowling tournament at Frankton Junction which Ambassador sponsored. This allowed us to get a discount on our accommodation. Very good units, good air conditioning as it was very very cold. The breakfast/restaurant chef and waitress were lovely and friendly. Very welcoming in the mornings. Thank you for a great stay.

Access to main arterial routes were simple and quick location wise it was excellent.

Accessible to the top floor difficult especially for someone who had mobility issues.
