Reviewed Sep 15, 2026The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our upstairs room was very comfortable and quiet and had all the necessities we needed. We thought it was excellent value for money and we would be happy to stay there again. Also, it had supermarkets, takeaway places and an excellent pub nearby.
It was a bit further from the hospital than we thought but no big deal.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Our host was warm and welcoming, our room spacious and very well suited to the needs of my husband, who uses a wheelchair. It was only an overnight stay but the facilities were great - everything we needed to put together an easy meal, an accessible unit that really was easy to get around in a wheelchair (lots aren't!), a bathroom that again worked well for both of us, and a comfortable bed with a good choice of TV channels. We'll be back.
Bit of traffic noise from the road outside but it wasn't a problem. And our host said he'll give us the other accessible unit, further from the road, next time we come.

Reviewed Jul 8, 2026We had a wonderful overnight stay. The room was spotless, comfortable, and excellent value for money, with everything we needed for a relaxing night away. Check-in was quick and effortless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. A sincere thank you to the entire team for your warm manaaki and genuine hospitality. Your care and attention made us feel truly welcome, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended!
Overall, we had a great stay. The only suggestions I would make are to have extra pillows available for guests who prefer them. I personally sleep with two pillows, so this may simply come down to personal preference, but having extras available on request would be appreciated. It would also be helpful to provide a couple of additional bath towels. If possible, an extra TV in the family apartments would also be a nice addition. One other improvement would be to have a designated smoking area away from the guest rooms. At times, cigarette smoke drifted into our bedroom from guests smoking outside their rooms, which was a little unpleasant.
