The noise level could have been better. People loudly talking throughout the night in the hallway.

I like the location because it had a lot of things to do around it. The only thing that was not to my liking was that the waterpark was closed because they said the summer was over but since summer is not over for everyone, but everything else was good.

It could’ve been cleaner it was clean, but you could still see stains on certain things like the chairs in the café that was open all the time really needed to be wiped and cleaned daily. They didn’t do that. There was like ketchup and stains on it. I mean, if you’re not doing anything you need to be wiping those chairs, Clorox wipes or something and in the room, the thing that the bed sets on it was ripped and it had stains also.

Definitely overpriced for the hotel rooms, the rooms aren’t more than a 3 star hotel quality at best. Staff at the front desk wasn’t always helpful or friendly. The property itself isn’t bad, but it shouldn’t be as expensive as it is for how out of date the property is.

Hotel is small,it’s not worth the price.I don’t know that mouthcare set is not included ,it is my first time not to have toothbrush and toothpaste included in the neccesities.I asked the front desk regarding parking and she just told ud about the free parking outside which is not a good choice for us as we are staying in the hotel.Good thing my husband found out we can park in the basement which we are willing to pay.I felt like she though because it was free that’s the one we needed

We enjoyed the fireworks in the evening and a lot of the life size games downstairs.

It felt very outdated. The rooms look decorated the same as maybe the early 90s, perhaps 80’s. Also, the food locked flavor and was overpriced.

The rooms were spacious, clean and had all the supplies that we needed. The cafe in the hotel had very nice staff and the food was great. We went back to the cafe for several meals. I also enjoyed having access to the parking garage to avoid the heat.

I could not reach the hotel to reserve rooms, had to leave a message. I did receive several follow-up calls hours later and the next day however, so that alleviated my concern.

Our room was hard to navigate and on a floor with cheerleaders who were rowdy and rude to my granddaughter (9). The pool was not up to expectations.

I don't like the night in the hotel you need put some music or some animations for the people and baby and you need put more variety the food in the buffet but the rest in the hotel is good

Stayed 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Hotel lobby area was very nice, and we really enjoyed the attractions. However, our room definitely was less than we expected from a pricey 4-star hotel. We had a toilet that wouldn't always flush and a reading lamp next to the bed that wouldn't light. We reported these items to the front desk and were told they would file a maintenance request. Maintenance may have responded when we were out of the room, but problems persisted. Add to that the two closest rooms had 5 young children that used the hallway as their personal playground (parents' fault, not hotel's) until late in the night, made for a less enjoyable stay than we hoped for.

The location was nice and we were there for a dance convention so the convenience factor was a 10.

We booked a king suite and said there would be a 3rd guest so we would be using the pull out sofa. There was bedding for the sofa but no fitted sheet. When I inquired about this I was told they didn’t have fitted sheets but they would send someone up to make the bed. That never happened. Also, because I went through booking.com and not the hotel directly we didn’t receive wrist bands for the Palm Beach area.

So many choices for things to do, pool and hot tub, separate adult and family/children areas gaming area, beach volleyball restaurants both fancy or family friendly. Full spa experience.

We arrived Wednesday just before noon for a 3 night stay for a dance competition. When we arrived I asked if I could store a box of food until our room was ready. There policy doesn’t allow them to store food but Dana at check in said…give me an hour to see if there is anything she could do. When I checked back she said I got your room ready a bit early to allow you to store your food! Great customer service! We really enjoyed our stay!!

We liked the activities located there on the property. The museum the rainforest and the aquarium were awesome and there's lots of other things to see as well. The 3D and 4D films made us feel like kids again. I'm 62 and she's 45. Thanks for that?!!!?!

Everything was too spread out. The pool water was cloudy I suspect from lots of suntan lotion. At least hopefully that's what it was. Some food was left out overnight at the pool bar. My wife and I saw the lady leave it on the ledge next to the bar and it was there the next day well into the late evening. I somehow got the idea there would be a dog park. There was barely a bathroom station for them. The pool bar was understaffed so a 30 minute wait for service. . In spite of all this we'd probably return because the activities were great and the staff was so cordial. I'm disabled and your shuttle service to the attractions was great. Monte and Scott were the greatest. Great customer service and a great attitude. Overall we had a nice time. A few minor glitches but your hotel is pretty cool.

Room was dated, not clean and with cigar smell. We almost left after we had access to the room.

The hotel was great the package deal was better but the service we got from Condra was the icing on the cake!!! She noticed every time we were sitting longer than the expected wait time for our car or for a ride to an attraction. She went above and beyond to make our trip easier traveling with 2 kids a baby and 3 adults. I do not want to imagine what it would have been like if she wasn’t there. Whoever her boss is, she needs a raise.

We just wrapped up our youth baseball World Series in Galveston with a long weekend stay at Moody Gardens, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about our stay. We had 7 families staying total, and every single one of us had an amazing experience. The property was beautiful, spotless, and had something for everyone. Between the pools, activities, restaurants, and all the amenities, there was never a dull moment for the kids or the adults. The food exceeded our expectations. Every meal we had was fresh, delicious, and the service was outstanding. It made coordinating meals with a large group incredibly easy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and accommodating from check-in through checkout. For families traveling for youth sports, Moody Gardens was the perfect home base. After long days at the ballpark, it was nice to come back somewhere that truly felt like a vacation. We had zero complaints from all seven families. That’s pretty rare when you’re traveling with a large group! Everything was organized, relaxing, and exceeded our expectations. We’ll absolutely be back. Thank you, Moody Gardens, for helping make our World Series weekend one we’ll never forget! ⚾️🌴

We had a wonderful family stay at the Moody Gardens Hotel in Galveston! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and perfect for families with young kids. The biggest advantage is its location—being able to walk directly to the Aquarium Pyramid, Rainforest Pyramid, Discovery Museum, and Palm Beach made our trip so convenient and enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Our kids absolutely loved the pool, and there were plenty of activities to keep them entertained. We also enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, especially in the evenings after a busy day exploring the attractions. The only small downside is that the hotel can be a bit pricey, but the convenience and family-friendly experience made it worth it for us. Overall, it was a memorable vacation, and we would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Galveston. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

We stayed at the Moody Gardens Hotel for a 3-night work conference, and I was able to bring my family along, which we appreciated. The property itself was good. The room was clean and comfortable, and my kids enjoyed the pool, arcade, and aquarium. We also used the Good Grades discount for admission, which was a great perk and helped make the experience more affordable for our family. That said, there were several service issues that significantly impacted our stay and are important for other traveling parents - especially nursing mothers - to be aware of. Before arrival, I included in the reservation’s “special requests” section that I would need a crib and freezer storage for frozen breast milk. At check-in, I followed up about the crib and was assured it would be delivered. Despite that assurance, it was not provided until I called later that evening from my room. For a family traveling with an infant, this is a basic request that should have been handled proactively. The larger issue was breast milk storage. As a breastfeeding mother attending all-day conference sessions, I needed a safe place to store labeled frozen milk. This has never been a problem at other hotels where I have stayed. However, Moody Gardens stated they could not store it and did not offer any alternative solution. Even after our conference organizers contacted hotel management and the banquet team on my behalf, no accommodation or workaround was provided. In addition, there were no designated nursing or pumping spaces in the conference areas. As a result, I had to leave conference sessions and return to my room during short breaks throughout the day. Ultimately, a conference organizer stepped in and stored my milk in a freezer in her suite. Without her help, I likely would have had to discard it. While we enjoyed the attractions and amenities, the lack of follow-through on requested accommodations and the absence of support for nursing mothers were disappointing, especially in a "family friendly" property. These were not unexpected or last-minute requests, and the hotel had multiple opportunities to address them but failed to do so. Because of this experience, we would likely choose a different property for future family stays. Moody Gardens has a lot to offer families, but the service we received did not meet expectations when it came to supporting guests with basic infant-care needs. Overall, it is a nice destination with great amenities for children, but there is clear room for improvement in communication, follow-through, and accommodations for nursing mothers and traveling families.
