The property met our needs for a one night stay Our group of 5 (2 rooms) stay at this property prior to leaving for a cruise the following day. We have never had a problem of any kind here before but we had an issue with this room that made our stay a nightmare

The handle in the tub/shower was broken and just hanging loose so that the water could not be turned on. We reported this to the staff who couldn’t have been nicer and a repair man was there within 15 minutes He fixed the problem however when he left I immediately went to take a shower and the piece immediately broke again. I reported and again the repair man fixed it. I immediately took a shower and when I tried to turn the water off it got stuck on the hottest level possible and could not be turned off Waiting yet again for the repair man our room was full of steam and became hot and very uncomfortable Finally it was repaired enough to allow all 3 of us to shower. We are a group of 3 ladies ranging in age from 73-77 who were just looking for a relaxing vacation and cruise. We found this issue to be extremely stressful and forced us to start the vacation with stress and anxiety. We feel that we should be compensated in some way for this inconvenience and if not will certainly find another location when we need a place to stay in Galveston

I've been trying to get in contact with the general manager I have not received a response back I used a third party for the booking and they have not received a response either. This has been ongoing since Oct 31st.

My room was not clean. I walked around the room, barefoot and literally the bottoms of my feet were gray. I had issues with the linen exchange when I went to get new bath linens at the front desk. I was not able to get the same amount I was turning in. So I went to the store and bought my own bath linens so I would have them to use there.

We had problem with door handle making buzzing noises. Someone came up to fix the problem. We left and returned had the same problem with the door. Ask to be moved.

Everyone working and staying here, smiled, said at least hello and you could here conversation and joy everywhere. Popcorn was a treat!

The grounds was nice, clean. Dog area nice. Good parking.

Uncomfortable bed, smell of cigarette smoke and Marijuana constantly. Safe unusable, 2 beds yet 1 chair. Stairway filthy.

I had 2rooms one was supposed to be to be handicapped and it wasn’t they offered to moeusbut told them already was settled inplus wouldn’t be near the other room

Staff was very polite, breakfast was good and Kroger was next door.. pool was clean and stay was wonderful, totally booking again.

I had an aweful experience. I property manager was very very rude. I feel like i was robbed because the hotel is a scam. I would not recomendo to anybody. Very dishonest, dirty facility

The facility was very dirty. Roaches and strong sewer smell.

The welcoming staff was incredible. I went to a couple hotels prior just to check it out and they didn’t smile or greet me at all, but every time I encountered the front staff here, they were very friendly and helpful! The new lobby and the breakfast room are awesome. The birds were incredible at the pool! I know some people hated listening to them in the morning, but it was such a wonderful way to wake up.! they are protected species so if you don’t like the sounds of birds in the fall and winter, then you probably shouldn’t stay here. With all the palm trees and the sounds of the birds I felt like I was in the jungle that was amazing.

I know it’s going through some sort of remodel, but the elevators are a little scary. I just took the stairs.

Used water bottle in the room when we first arrived. Hair on the shower wall when arriving. Draining in tub and sink very slow, showered in a pool of water, turned off water to let it drain then turned water back on to finish shower.

It was right off the beach. In a great location.

The hotel looks run down itself. The lobby was nice. The floors were always wet, inside our room. Probably from the humidity? It was kinda gross, not used to that. Water leaked from our fire alarm, in our room. Also a male housekeeping/laundry attendant walked into a room next to ours. A girl was inside who was naked and asked them to leave several times. They did not. Instead told her to calm down. While she stood there. They could’ve talked to her, after she’d gotten dressed.

Dirty walkways with rubbish, bird poop clusters and trash in the hallways.

No complaints everything was great. From check-in or was fast. The room was clean and everything worked unlike other places. Food was great and the area was clean. The attendant was always checking on the items..

We didn’t like anything about this hotel.

The hotel room was dirty, no hot water, toilet didn’t flush, the door to the hotel room had a 2 inch gap and you can hear everyone walking by, the elevator was out of code. The staff was waste of energy and time. I would not recommend this hotel to my worse enemy. The building code needs to go inspect that hotel cause clearly it’s out of complience.

Top locatie aan zee (alleen de doorgaande weg ertussen)! De kamers zijn een beetje gedateerd ingericht, maar verder wel comfortabel met een goede airco (maakt wel wat lawaai), koelkast, magnetron en koffiezetapparaatje. Er is een schoon buiten-zwembad en er wordt een (zeker voor Amerikaanse begrippen) goed ontbijt aangeboden. Er is vriendelijk personeel bij de receptie.

De kamers hadden iets beter gestoft mogen worden.

We had breakfast for free and right across from the beach.

I’m single and I don’t like outside door rooms. I don’t feel safe. The pool is right outside the doors and you have to listen to all the kids screaming and running around. It is VERY outdated

Boom box blasting at 9 , at the pool. Had to get my own towels at the front desk. Elevator needs attention. Maid/ housekeeping staff was awful. Managers didn’t do anything about my complaints, but said welcome to the Island. Like that was the way it is.

I loved the new updated sitting area and furniture in the main lobby. I stayed last year for the anime convention and it was a nice update.

Breakfast is always a bit to crowded and crazy but that's understandable.

It was a good walking distance from the convention center.

The elevators were hit and miss. Sometimes they were jerky and sometimes it was a pretty smooth ride. One of the workers seemed nervous when it shook.

Old Hotel, wasn't kept up very well. Plus, don't open the safe. You will be charged each time you open the door and look inside even if you don't set code to use it.

Directly across the street from the beach. Perfect location

A little dated in that all the rooms open externally to an exterior walkway. Some may find this less secure than modern interior controlled access corridors, especially on the bottom floor especially at the height of Tourist season. For us it was fine, we were on the top floor and no one would be on that exterior walkway unless they had a room there most likely. We were there last week in September so less crowded than tourist season.

Needs better beds

We loved that it was directly across from the beach. The beds were beyond comfy. The breakfast variety was fantastic and delicious! The mini fridge in room were an unexpected benefit.

Limited parking but it was not that bad.

Location to the Anime convention was excellent. The room was clean and comfy. Hot shower.

Birds were very loud at night inside the room. The elevators need some serious attention! Coffee machines kept breaking. No ice machines on any floor. Gym needs free weights.
