Gute Ausstattung, Restaurant, zentrale Lage
Unmittelbare Nähe zum Krankenhaus. Häufige laute Sirenen. Preis/Leistung nicht ok.
We loved the cleanliness of the rooms. The beds were also very comfy. The renovation of the rooms were nice. The front desk staff were pleasant but not overly eager to greet us.
When we arrived in the evening we were not able to enter the lobby and nobody seemed to be on duty. We spent a good 20-25 minutes waiting on the sidewalk before someone finally answered the speaker call button. We were there for medical reasons and appointments with doctors, diagnostic procedures and other medical treatments. We booked a wheelchair accessible room & bathroom. We were unable to secure a room for our needs because apparently none were available. However, one of the front desk employees tried to help improve our stay by upgrading our room for the second night. Again though, the new 2nd bathroom lacked any safety grab bars whatsoever in the shower, tub and the toilet area. Unfortunately, we were unable to shower until the final morning of our stay since we had to improvise on our own by purchasing a shower chair and portable grab bars for the walk in shower. The 2 night stay was a salty $1500 and unfortunately we were frustrated and feeling less than whole. And not until checkout were we given information regarding discounted stays offered for medical stays with NW Hospital affiliated patients.
Room was very comfortable. Bed Was exceptional. Shower was great.
Check in staff was rude and dismissive shows very little desire to help with even simple requests. Valet was useless, and misrepresented parking fees ($59 when I was told $30), which when asked about the charge, the front desk said valet was a third-party contractor and they had no say of what they charged. Again, dismissive!

The room was not clean So many stains and untidy
Excellent staff, comfortable room, great location! I was able to walk to restaurants. Catering for our meeting was delicious. I really liked the little extras in the meeting space that felt accommodating to all!
Hyatt always provides us with comfortable rooms and excellent service. One thing I particularly appreciate about this property is its convenient location. It’s close to shopping areas, the Chicago River, and numerous restaurants in the city. The hotel also has a Starbucks on the first floor and a Walgreens just across the street. While the service is generally good, it can sometimes be slow. Restaurant and bars is nice and they do have a very nice buffet for breakfast.
We visited Chicago from the suburbs for a long weekend with friends and the Hyatt family as a great place to stay. Big rooms, convenient location & good energy in the hotel common area.
If you need overnight accommodations due to being at Northwestern, I highly recommend you checking out this Hyatt. The staff is super accommodating, provides a special rate for NW patients, has a bridge that connects to the hospital. No need to go outside and so easy to move between facilities. Large, clean rooms, close to Michigan Ave as well as a host of restaurants so also great choice for vacationers.
This is one of my go to hotels whenever i visit Chicago. Ms Andrea at reception, from day one and every visit since greets me by name upon arrival and genuinely makes me at homes. The rooms are always clean, housekeeping polite and thorough and bathrooms have plenty of counter space and room. The restaurant has a good breakfast especially. Bar is small but very capable. Location right by mag mile and lots of eating places. Excellent service everytime, worth every penny.
The front desk lady was super helpful. Location very convenient. Bedding are of good quality
Poor soundproofing. We stayed in a quite high level but could still hear the ambulance sirens from the street, loud and clear.
You cannot beat the location. Everything is just outside the door and if you need any suggestions the concierge and bell staff no it ALL!
We stayed in a Queen room at Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile for 4 nights while my daughter had brain surgery. It was so convenient for the family being connected to the hospital. Everyone is so caring and it made our stress much easier knowing if we left we were still close by. We have stayed at this hotel for previous hospital stays and I highly recommend this hotel for pleasure stay and for sure hospital stays. Also close to everything you might need.
Well maintained and well run hotel in an excellent location right off Michigan Ave. Staff was attentive and very responsive to our needs. Room was a little dark from a lighting perspective. We missed housekeeping because they didn’t come during the window we were not in the room, but it was ok for a shorter trip (2nights) and we had all we needed. Would def stay here again!
All around great experience! Great condition of hotel, gym/pool well maintained. Room and all areas super clean Will come back.
This was our first time staying at a Hyatt Centric and we were very pleased. This location is excellent. The hotel accommodated our request for two connecting rooms. The rooms were spotless, including the extremely clean bathrooms. Housekeeping was there every day to refresh waters and tidy the rooms. The pool is pretty small, but we didn't use it. The only small negative was it is right next to a hospital so you would hear ambulances - but it didn't affect our sleep. Steps from the fun restaurants and the magnificent mile. We will definitely return.
The room was very clean that was the only thing.
Be so very careful about how much money you’re spending. They tried to charge me twice when i got there when i paid online. They said i needed to pay again because the 800 was only to “secure the spot” then tried to charge me another 1000. Got the manager involved and ended up being right. Therefore after leaving im once again charged another 300 dollars for I have no idea. They never called or emailed about what this transaction was for.
This is definitely one of my favorite hotels in Chicago. It's sleek, safe and in a central spot next to where you want to be while visiting Chicago. The staff is exceptional, the rooms are beautifully renovated, the beds are cozy, the bar is top notch. It's a hop and skip to Mag Mile/Michigan Avenue. It's our second time staying as a family of four, and definitely not our last! Thank you Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile!
super clean and upscale hotel! I was surprised it was only a category 4, I was able to use my free night award. they let us check in early at8 am, which was so clutch having too kids. Checked up on us frequently throughout the trip to make sure everything was up to our standards. Just wish the pool was bigger, but location was perfect and within walking distance to everything
Excellent foods! Clean & comfy room. Awesome meeting spaces. Great location!!!! Pleasantly surprised. Will visit again if I take a personal mini vacation to Chicago. Highly recommend this hotel!!!!
First, I will say that the staff was wonderful, always friendly. My room was always clean with fresh towels. The hotel is in a great area. The emergency room of the hospital is across the street so you will hear siren noise, but that wasn't bad. The noise level of this hotel is horrible. You could hear everything in the hallway and in the room next to me. At midnight I had to call the front desk because the people in the room next to me were so loud. It sounded like they were in my room with the noise level. I don't know if the front desk ever sent someone up because the noise continued. The bed was very soft, it's only a mattress on a platform.
We loved our stay at the Hyatt Centric! We emailed the hotel a week before our stay to let them know we were traveling with our 3 and 6yo and celebrating my birthday and they upgraded us to the executive king suite and had a tray of welcome snacks ready for us in our room! This room was perfect for the kids (slept on the pull out couch bed together) and gave us lots of space to get comfy. The staff was lovely and always super sweet with the kids. We loved having the pool and hot tub to come back to after a long day of sightseeing and took advantage of them every day of our trip! Room service was tasty and a super convenient option when everyone was tired and indecisive. The Starbucks downstairs was also nice to have as an option for a quick breakfast. The location was perfect for walking to the bean/millennium park and navy pier (even for little 3yo legs!). The only thing I will mention was a bit of siren noise due to the proximity to the hospital. It didn’t really bother or wake us, and we weren’t expecting complete silence stying in downtown anyways. But worth mentioning if maybe you’re sensitive to that! All in all we loved the Hyatt Centric and will definitely stay here again on our trip back to Chicago!!
Beautiful hotel to start. I lost my wallet and had to catch a flight and Fabian, Monze Rodrigues, and Ana spent hours helping me look for it. Before that they never once said no to any request I had. Right hand up the best hospitality I’ve had at a hotel, resort, etc. I will be only staying here every time I come to Chicago
The experience at this hotel was wonderful. I feel Hyatt in general does a good job on breakfast and this hotel didn't disappoint. Everyone I came in contact was great from checkin, restaurant, housekeeping, and sales. The hotel is clean as expected. Staff was responsive to our needs. We had a small group. It is hard to name names because everyone stood out but here are a few that made the trip great: Luretta in Sales, Kaitlyn, Mary, Meg and Elizabeth in Sales. There was a server who was pregnant she was phenomenal. There were 21 of us and all enjoyed the hotel. The kids enjoyed the pool. The pool and whirlpool were clean. I will definitely stay here again
Directly on the Magnificent Mile
We were disappointed with the dirty hot tub and pool. The location was great. The room was clean.
Our family of four stayed in a King Suite on the 14th floor. The room was clean and very spacious for a hotel right in the city. Location was perfect: there's a Starbucks right downstairs, a Stan's Donuts down the street, bagel place a little further down, and of course walking distance to great shopping on the Mag Mile. The suite is perfect for a family of 4. Housekeeping staff was always friendly and helpful. One thing to note: the master bed was very low as well as the toilet. This may be an issue for older people who have trouble getting up and down. Wasn't an issue for us, but something to be aware of. Also, a white noise machine is provided in the master bedroom to block out the city sounds and sirens from the hospital. Pack your own white noise machine for whomever sleeps on the sofa in the living room to block out hallway noises. The walls seemed thin.
Clean, modern hotel in a great location. Large rooms great for families. Full service restaurant, pool and hot tub are small but good enough for a quick visit.
Had a nice 2 day stay. Hotel is in good condition. Housekeeping was very good. Room was large and comfortable (exec suite). Breakfast was excellent!
Nice hotel, good staff. Only complaint is that the beds are too soft. We have stayed at many Hyatt properties...the great points redemption rate is a big reason. But the last half dozen times, at all different properties, we have noticed the beds are mediocre....usually too soft. We'll be back in Chicago soon but will try another hotel in hopes of getting a better night's sleep.
On a scale of 1-to 10 with 10 being the best, I would rate my experience a 10 On a scale of 1 being the worst, I would rate my experience a 10 for hotel overall rating I would rate it a 10.
Excellent Hotel with expected amenities and great location for shopping/dining. Would recommend for business or pleasure.
Last weekend friends and I decided to get together for a long overdue ladies weekend, we chose the Hyatt Centric Mag Mile for it fabulous location near every great restaurant and shopping you could ever imagine, we spent Friday through Sunday and had a fantastic time, the hotel is very well maintained, very clean and the staff is exceptional. We were greeted and brought to the room upon arrival, we weren’t there long and a complimentary cheese tray was delivered to our room, (Nice touch Hyatt) 💙 The restaurant and bar on the second floor has a great little menu and an assortment of wonderful drinks, After heading out for dinners we usually ended up having a nightcap at the lounge, the staff were very nice and friendly. Breakfast was an array of breakfast food with a delicious buffet and menu items, the staff took such great care of us each morning with wonderful greetings and smiles, they were efficient, happy and we looked forward to seeing these amazing people each morning, Kenya, Karina, Brenda and Joel, Kudos to Monze for having an incredible staff. I will definitely recommend Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile to anyone traveling to Chicago and I plan on booking another weekend very soon. Thank you Hyatt. We had an exceptional stay.

Everything was pretty good
No big complaints
Great location with quick access to about anything you would want in Chicago. I also love the mid-century modern aesthetic.
Check in process was horrible. They were not accommodating and indicated I may have to wait until midnight to get checked in! They double charged my credit card putting a one month hold on my funds.
Had such a fabulous experience at this event. Came for a conference and was immediately welcomed by Andrea who was so thoughtful and helpful and playful as we figured out early check in. Felt like I was staying at a family location based on how warm everyone was. Super clear, organized, responsive, professional and wonderful. Set the bar for customer experience!
Excellent location. Everything within walking distance. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Hotel was clean and breakfast was amazing each morning. Highly recommend and will stay again on our next visit.
Loved our stay at the Hyatt (my favorite hotel). Room was clean, service was excellent, front desk check in was flawless. Starbucks in the lobby was incredibly fast and organized. The on-site restaurant food was very good, bar was also fast with great service. Would have loved to stay more than a night but a convention booked out the hotel. Will definitely return.
The hotel's location offers great access to many attractions, restaurants, and shopping options in the Chicago area. The staff was all very friendly and professional, and we were treated very well. They helped make the experience even better.
It was convenient and close to all my favorite shopping, malls and eatery
Loved this place! Its a great location. Room was very spacious. Staff friendly and helpful. And the decor with positive vibes - I enjoyed it! Even the pool and hot tub were perfect temperatures.
The AC was broken in my room. It took me calling the reception 5 times over a span of 5 hours before they finally sent a technician who confirmed that the AC was broken and shifted me to a new room. The staff was very rude and didn't want to help
Very clean hotel, centrally located near restaurants and shopping. They were able to accommodate early check in for a $30 fee. Our family really enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub.
My stay was amazing! The staff went above and beyond to ensure my coworkers and I had a great experience. The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable, and the bed was so cozy that I’m honestly still contemplating calling to ask what mattress brand you use because it was some of the best sleep I’ve gotten in a long time lol. I also really appreciated all the thoughtful small touches throughout the stay, especially the sleep sound machine such a nice detail that made the experience even more relaxing.
Great, nice quality room, good location
Extra service fee (not mentioned by booking), but spendable on hotel bar
I would strongly advise anyone looking for a place to stay in Chicago to steer completely clear of the Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile. There are far too many incredible, high-quality hospitality choices in this city to waste your time and money on a property that treats its guests so poorly. While the room itself was baseline acceptable, the overall experience was ruined by atrocious service and lack of basic cleanliness. To start, the sheets on the bed had a distinctly damp, musty odor to them—unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a Hyatt Centric. However, the real failure of this property is its staff, who are remarkably rude, unhelpful, and completely miserable. A front desk staff member named Andrea was particularly awful. Her attitude was incredibly condescending, aggressively unfriendly, and she seemed genuinely miserable to be doing her job. Dealing with her felt like an adversarial chore rather than a hospitality experience. As a loyal Hyatt member with status, I am supposed to be guaranteed a late checkout. Yet, on the final morning of my stay, the hotel arbitrarily notified me that I had to vacate at the standard checkout time. When a hotel refuses to honor corporate-guaranteed loyalty benefits with zero flexibility, it defeats the entire purpose of staying within the brand. Between the musty linens, the broken loyalty promises, and the downright hostile attitude from the staff—especially Andrea—I will absolutely never return to this property. Save yourself the headache and book literally anywhere else in Chicago.
Love the location near the shopping and restaurants. Love the Centric properties in general. Thjis one was no exception. Enjoyed breakfast daily and it was really good.
We stayed at the hotel at the end of April and it was an amazing experience, I had emailed the hotel before we went to ask if we could possibly have an upgrade as it was my husband’s 50th birthday and the room they gave us was beyond my expectations it was amazing and I cannot thank the hotel manager enough for making this experience one of the highlights of my husband’s special birthday, we were blown away, the staff were all so lovely and welcoming and I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Chicago it is also right next to the magnificent mile for any shoppers lol! Loved the place, massive thanks again to Fabian for making my husband’s birthday one to remember ♥️
Valet service is slow, think 20 minutes is unacceptable It's connected to the Hospital and very depressing atmosphere
Some good, some bad experiences. My large 6'2" husband had great difficulty with the low beds and getting up and down before and after surgery. The breakfast was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to help us after my husband slid off a stool to the floor. They helped get him up and found a wheelchair to get him out to the car.

Very clean city vibe hotel, close to lots of restaurants, coffee, shopping, Northwestern Hospital. Also easy walk to the lake or Riverwalk. I have stayed here frequently recently to visit a family member and always feel warm and welcomed. Rooms are very well equipped and always very clean and things in good working order. Food is amazing for dine in or carry out or room service! Starbucks in the lobby on main level.
Staff not very friendly for check in. Air conditioning was turned off had to call for maintenance to come and climb in ceiling vent was closed. Also there was a huge spot of mold on the ceiling by the door, and they nickeled and dimed you to death for the room. 25.00 and 100.00 and 84.00 for parking plus the 3 different taxes!!!!
I have been a globalist for over 20 years and am very accustomed to a high level of service. But the team at Centric in Chicago Mag Mile raised the bar again! Really appreciate DeSean and Kayla for their outstanding hospitality. Especially DeSean for accommodating our dietary preferences. In addition, Karina, Joel, and Brenda were outstanding and I was able to thank Fabian personally.
This hotel is located just off Michigan Ave, perfect! It's between the Lake beach and the river walk. Walking to both is easy and delightful. Hotel is very clean and well decorated, loved the art work. Breakfast was delicious definitely 10 for the rate!
The location was close to Navy Pier, eating spots, river taxis, the overlook and a quick cab ride to the blueline to head back O'hare. A uber is also less than $50 to O'hare.
Chicago does nor sleep, no reflection on the Hyatt.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Nicely maintained hotel. Great location. I will definitely stay here in the future.
Great facility and getting upgraded to presidential suite is awesome. Only thing is the views are not great since it is among the buildings but hotel is maintained very well with great service. Very Clean as well.
Nice hotel just off the Mag Mile. It was very busy at the hotel but service was great. If your visit involves Northwestern Hospital, this is a very convenient place to stay and is directly connected to the hotel through a passageway without having to go outside. The only downside to being so close to the hospital are the ambulances that be heard at all hours of the day and night.
We have always been Hilton members but decided to give Hyatt a try. We were very pleased with our stay. Room was nice. We loved the sound matchine for sleeping. Comfortable bed. Loved pool Area. Great location. Will be back!
The room size was nice. The bed was comfortable.
The room was dark and our window faced a brick wall. I believe i asked for a high floor with a view.
We were on the very top level
Breakfast was not included
Lovely property, great breakfast buffet, great location. Staff were very friendly. The pool and hot tub are well-maintained.
All I can say is this is a must stay property. We usually stay at the Park but it was full and we took a chance on this place and it exceeded expectations. The staff was friendly and prompt. Globalist recognition was over the top. The suite upgrade I received was a nice touch, especially on a sold out night. The rooms were modern and funky. Breakfast buffet has a nice selection and food was fresh when we arrived. Valet was fast and efficient as well. Great location downtown. Do not sleep on this property.
The Hyatt Centric was outstanding in service, food, location, cleanliness and professionalism. I highly recommend this hotel.
Great hotel with great location and amazing service! walkable area and safe, very friendly team ready to serve! You cannot go wrong here!
Beautiful place. Great location! Debbie , Ashanti and Andrea were so helpful at the front desk!
overall solid place to stay, on 2nd floor and a bit of track to get from room to outside the hotel but it was clean and tidy and had everything i needed; sound can be a bit of an issue with the thin walls and ambulances nearby so just an FYI connected to northwestern via bridge so helpful if you need that and starbucks on 1st level!
Sharif was a wonderful waiter and the experience was enjoyable. Thank you for being so accommodating to our family on our trip.
Enjoyable experience. The FD clerk that checked us in (Alejandro I think, was the night manager if I read his tag right) went above and beyond and I appreciate that. Room was modern and in the heart of the Mag Mile. Had a decent amount of charging plugs. Received my Globalist benefits with no extra intervention and was even asked several times if I would be needing a late checkout (I didn't but it was nice to be asked)
I stayed in the ADA room and the beds were too soft, my back was starting to hurt. The breakfast there was too expensive I paid 92 dollars for two people. Overall the hotel staff was nice and it was clean
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious and well designed. The entire hotel was very clean.

Todo, nos recibieron luego de una mala experiencia en otro hotel, es costoso pero vale la pena
Cercanía, instalaciones y opciones de comida, buena piscina climatizada
Good hotel , good location , good amenities around
Location is near lot of eatery staff very friendly and courteous. The bellhop attendant took my luggage up to the room.!
How clean everything was and how friendly everyone one.
I did not find one thing I did not like!
Clean room, nice breakfast with eggs and sausage, warm pool.
Dirty whirlpool that needs to be cleaned regularily so that guests don't have to walk into hair. Beds could be comfier. Breatfast was too short. We've stayed in better hotels downtown Chi for a similar price.
Convenient location in Chicago near the Mag Mile--but hotel was dated, elevators were inconvenient, and I've stayed at nicer Hyatt hotels across the country. Front desk staff were also not friendly or welcoming.
