Comfy bed and a good shower. The room was quite large but pretty standard for a multi national chain. Our room had a nice view of Sainsbury's car park but the bonus was that there were no boy racers in it at night.

We weren't sure at first if this hotel was using special "Safety cutelry" or if the food was really tough. Turned out to be a bit of both, the knives wouldn't cut through a slice of toast and the breakfast bacon was like leather. We had tried their special Sunday roast on our first night and were both disapointed, especially when we later found out the price. Didn't eat there again apart from breakfasts. We had gone for this hotel as the car parking charges seemed a little more acceptable than some other city centre establishments but should have bitten the bullet and paid a bit more to park.

Very enjoyable stay. Great location where you could walk into Nottingham in around 20 minutes along the canal via the Marina. £5 charge for secure parking for 24 hours was really reasonable. Staff very helpful and efficient. Twin room with 2 double beds was great.

The breakfast buffet was fine but the bacon was rock hard and clearly been sat there for a while. Nothing other tan that.

Location was quite far from rail station, ( 1 mile) city centre 1 mile and university of Nottingham (2 miles) where I attended a conference so taxis were essential.

We only stayed one night for a night out in the city. Lovely gem of a hotel, we got a great room with two double beds, very comfortable, spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent the next morning and every staff we encountered was pleasant.

We had a really good overall experience. luka the restaurant manager was so nice and accommodating. Made us feel really welcome. Morgan on reception was so welcoming and super polite. Such lovely kind staff.

The carpark charge. I have never been charged for parking in hotel carpark as a resident before. This is the Ryan air drip pricing approach and it's not good, very unimpressed bt this.

Location was excellent, parked our car and walked along the canal and used the tram.

Spacious room with a good shower and products and a comfortable bed. We asked for a quiet room and we were at the rear of the property.Staff were helpful and provided directions into the centre of Nottingham. Sainsburys and a petrol station were opposite.Standard evening hotel meals were provided which suited our needs .

Could have provided a fridge during this hot weather for drinks like a lot of other hotel chains provide.Obviously IHG have let their standards slip.

La pulizia non è sempre stata eccezionale, alcune cose (palestra non pulita per tre giorni con asciugamani e carte lasciate per terra) e moquette in camera non sempre pulitissima. Nel complesso ottimo albergo.

One star for our stay would be generous! We arrived at the property at around 10.15pm. Checked in and went to our room. We were then rudely kept awake by a man in the room below us shouting and swearing for about an hour and a half. Our children were trying to get to sleep, as were we, given the reason for booking the room was to get a good rest prior to driving home today. This couldn't have been further from what was achieved. I called the front desk soon after this noise started and the member of staff said he would do a walk around, this didn't happen so I called again to receive an apology and was told he was busy with other guests. My husband then personally went to the desk to let the member of staff know the noise was continuing. The member of staff attended the room (we think) and the noise then stopped. By this time it was gone midnight and we could have been three quarters of the way home which quite honestly we wished we were. The room was booked for 4 guests, so how many towels would you expect? 4 is my guess! But no, we had 2. The kettle contained stale water so this hadn't been emptied. Breakfast was ok. If you want a decent sleep, then don't book here!

The only thing we found uncomfortable was the beds and pillows. The beds were quite hard and so were the pillows.

We loved the breakfast buffet and especially loved the alternative milk and bread option as my youngest son is allergic to milk. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them.

I had come back to my room after breakfast on my last day before check out time and the housekeeping was being carried out.

Excellent service and a very pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was excellent, with the option to order additional dishes from the breakfast menu. There was plenty of parking available at the hotel for only £5 per day, which was great.

We booked a room with an extra-large bed but were given a double bed instead. Fortunately, it was still comfortable enough for us. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room lacks a bit of love- outside the shower a bit crusty with linescale and a carpet in the bedroom has darker stanes. the hotel has no single rooms and single person fares- I paid £187 for two nights + breakfasts.

I was woke up constantly from 0300 onwards by doors slamming, which was strange due to slow closing doors, not sure if this was staff or other patrons

The staffs were all marvellous, ready to assist and always smilling. Likewise the dinner & breakfast were excellent. Two thumbs up, highly recommended, & will come back again.

The room carpet re-shampoo will be a plus.

My sister and I were travelling together. The we arrived the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. When we entered the room we were pleased that there were two double beds as requested and the room was spacious, clean and fresh. We decided, due to tiredness after our day of work and travelling, to stay in the hotel for dinner. Rico was the duty manager/supervisor in the restaurant and we couldn't have asked for better service than he gave us. A smiley, friendly and approachable young man who was a credit to the hotel. The food was OK - nothing special, but was edible and nicely presented and wouldn't put us off staying in again if we went back there to stay. We ordered room service for breakfast. It arrived promptly but was on the cold side which was a little disappointing. I had ordered a cup of tea, and it was a mug with a stewed teabag in it, so was undrinkable sadly but the latte my sister order was OK, although not very hot. I think if we stayed again we would go to the restaurant and get hot food as although the portionsns were generous, because our breakfast was cold it was not good value for money sadly.

Restaurant food for dinner was OK but not great. Room service breakfast was cold so had Cleary not been brought up after being freshly cooked and was probably served from the buffet...disappointing

Car park charge! Rediculous when booking a room. I felt the room was overpriced. Needed another bedside table. Not enough room for two phones, two books and two glasses of water.

This visit rather restores my faith in the Holiday Inn brand, which let's face it, can be a little variable... Rooms were fairly priced, clean comfortable and quiet. Previously good impressions of the restaurant food were reinforced, with an imaginative menu and food quality which surpassed expectations. The dining area itself looks like an uninspiring afterthought, but this totally belies the excellent food and really pleasant service. Well done everybody! In fact, the staff throughout the hotel were exceptionally capable and friendly (maybe they were actually given some training and encouragement - if so, it shows!). My only grumble is having to pay for parking, with no discounts or rebates for IHG Members. Don't hesitate if you need to stay in this part of town.

Not what I expected to be honest

How noisy it was in general, it was very loud throughout the night. People banging around, blasting tv’s, slamming doors. Also the mess on corridors was vile.

The socket for the phone was broken. The plug to release the water in the bath was jammed.. one of the bath towels had a big hole in it. The dressing gown in the waldrobe had a big stain on the sleeve. Had breakfast in my room, but no condements were sent, ie salt etc. Not quite an executive room. Although not 4star, but basic things should be checked and working ie bath plug.

So pleased with the room. Unfortunately the television wasn’t working and we were wanting to watch the World Cup. Luka tried the best to get it to work but decided to move us next door. Thank you Luka. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good indeed.
