The bar and layout especially on entrance. It’s lust a really good layout.

Unfortunately lift maintenance was ongoing for our visit. Alternative arrangements were adequate. Unfortunately one of the elevators only went between first roof and basement.. It got à laugh out of Frank Lampard when we went up and down a few times 😂

Bed was too soft, personal choice I know, windows didn’t open. We went to breakfast at 9 and bacon was dried out & inedible.

A large and comfortable bedroom. Unfortunately, the residents lifts were not working but we were able to use the service lifts. Staff were excellent in every aspect.

Alternatively lift being used and only one it took a long time and always a queue, my health means stairs were not possible. The hotel did notify me a couple of days before the stay but as I have booked non refundable it I couldn’t cancel

It was a shame that the lift didn't work and we had to walk through staff areas. Also the jacuzzi was broken and there was drilling going on somewhere which you could hear in the spa and not so relaxing relaxation room. Did price did not reflect these unfortunate issues. Breakfast area was lush when the sun shone through. There was plenty of choice at the buffet

Breakfast was excellent and we also enjoyed our evening meal. Your staff are obviously trained very well. Everyone was so polite and helpful. Thank you. We stayed overnight as we were going to a concert at the nearby theatre.

Location was great, good staff. Good breakfast. Room was nice and a generous size. Parking was also decent.

The elevator was out, so we had to use the staff service elevator which was bit odd.

the lifts didn't work and won't be operational for another 12 weeks. A service lift was operational for guests as an alternative to the stairs. this meant a long wait or a long climb. I would have liked to have known about this before confirming my booking. In my welcome email the hotel made no mention of this, they did however wrote this "We would also like to thank you for your continued support and patience during this time" which made no sense prior to arrival.

When we arrived, we were informed that the lifts were out of order and a mechanical part was awaited, and this could take a few months. The staff had worked hard to make the service lift available for guests, which was appreciated. However, this lift was small and resulted in queues to use it, often with it stopping at lots of floors. The alternative was to use the stairs - not easy with luggage as we were on the fourth floor. I would imagine anyone with physical health issues would find this challenging. It’s worth checking if the lifts are fixed before booking as we weren’t informed before our stay.

The staff were polite and kind and agreed with us about the poor standards of the hotel. Some staff in the bar area made a joke about how various things were not working in the hotel which is not professional but honest

I booked accessible room due arthritis in knees to find lifts not working. Used service lift and hall so had to get round various obstacles such as huge piled of towels ets. The service lifts where always full of workers with trolleys full of dirty towels so we often waited around 15minutes to use a lift.. This has resulted in a trigger of arthritic knee pain. Beds hard and pillows like bricks and the room not very big at all. I was told the room had walk in showers as I find it painful to lift knees to get in a bath. It was a bath so not accessible. The room aircon did not work so we had a noisy fan to use. No windows to open so nosiy fan had to be on as the room was extremly hot The entire hotel smelt and was dirty. Spa had rust, flies, smelt like poo and had tiles and wall chunks missing. Tried to order room service which took 15 minutes to get hold of somebody to be told it was to busy and go down to restuarant for quickness and when we got there the restuarant was closed. We ordered 2 cokes, a cheese toastie and wrap. The drinks took 40minutes to come and thats because I reminded the bar man., the food also took 40minutes. Then he got the order wrong. Things in the bar didnt work (tills) and various people who worked there made jokes about the sheer amount of things that DO NOT work in this hotel. Food came and was burnt and inedible. The hotel itself was dirty as was the spa. We were shocked at how bad it was.

The lifts were all out of order. We were directed to use a small service lift, but with the whole hotel and staff all trying to use the same lift it took more than 30 mins every time we needed to use it to be able to get in. It was an absolute shambles and completely ruined our stay. We should have been offered compensation for this

Breakfast was awful. Most of the counter was empty - No eggs, 3 hash browns left that were under cooked, bacon was strangely undercooked but gone rock hard as left on hot plate too long. The scrambled eggs looked awful( hence why they were left and tray was full) and Rooms basic and very little wardrobe space.

Breakfast was lovely. The room was really clean and the aircon made all of the difference.

Only one lift was working, i know this was not the hotel's fault, but it was a bit frustrating at times.

The pool changing room showers were not very clean, the body lotion in my room was empty, the air conditioning unit in my room broke both nights and needed resetting. The main lifts also broke during my stay.

Maria on reception was lovely. The spa was nice although full of touchy feely couples. Nicely decorated reception/bar area. Good location.

There was a guy on the reception who audibly sighed and pulled faces when we asked to put our bags in storage as it required new tags because we got there at 11, went to use the spa and check in wasn’t until 3pm. None of the lifts worked so everyone was dragging cases up and down 3-4 flights of stairs and squeezing past all the other hotel residents along the way. The bath was cheap,slippy & flimsy. I thought parking was included but it’s not, you get a ‘discounted rate’ for parking though which means instead of paying £24 per 24 hours for parking it’s only £18.

I thought the cleanliness of the leisure facilities could be better. I found the changing rooms dirty and the leisure facility where the pool is in need of updating and cleaning properly.

Amazing location - 2 minutes walk from the Royal Theatre, cinema, arcades etc. There really isn't a better locaton and the price is really good for what is provided. The staff are also exceptional, with Gemma handling a few issues I had efficiently and in a very friendly manner. This is my stop when I want to stay in Nottingham and I would recommend to anyone else too!

The only issue I had was that the pool and jacuzzi were temporarily out of order.

Reception and Breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was very nice too and the overall look of the hotel: modern and polished. Location was great too.

As a 4* hotel if you don’t get the sleeping aspect right then I don’t know why you re in the business. My pillow case was dirty or stained; luckily I bring my own pillow covers and I used those. Next, they weren’t very helpful when I asked them about parking before checkin so I had to pay a lot for parking somewhere else and then pay for the parking at the hotel too as the staff replied too late. The lifts were out of order so we had to take the stairs which was a very smelly place. There was noise from the neighbouring rooms and I know you cannot control how people act and how loud they talk but just saying as someone who loves a quite place. Lastly, the swimming pool water must have had too much chlorine in it as my daughter d nose and lips were affected by it; they were irritated and dry.

We always stay at this hotel for a relaxing night away and it's a perfect spot for everything in town. Always enjoy the pool steam room etc as it's always nice and quiet everything we have been. Staff are lovely and will come back.

Only thing that let it down this one time and only ever had the issues this time was im sure there were some form of bed bugs as I had a couple of bugs in the bed that I had to get rid off and I woke to quite a few bites on my skin. Never had the issue before only this one time. That was the only let down.

The gym doesn't open until 6:30am which is too late to be able to go before work. In addition there was not a lot of space in the rooms to open up your suitcase properly

It was very close to the venue I was going to. The staff were friendly. The pool and spa facilities were great. The bed was comfortable.

There were noisy people in my corridor, seemed to be a group occupying multiple rooms so there was lots of talking and door knocking going on.

Really enjoyed our stay. Checked in at 11.30pm after a festival. Really friendly receptionist offered us 4 complimentary drinks. Room on 8th floor with a lovely city view. Bed was actually one of the most comfy i can remember staying in! Free access to Spa/swimming in the morning 7.30am. Really chilled, really nice vibe. Would recommend

Air conditioning broke down twice during my first day. They resetted it again and throughout my stay the air conditioning kept breaking down so got fed up of asking staff to reset it. The breakfast was stale. Sausages rock hard. Then there was a power cut because the hotel was doing some maintenance work. No power for 2 hours. Whole hotel was in the pitch black. Had to use the stairs as lifts weren't working either. I just about climbed the stairs as i have a bad leg. This maintenance work should not have been done on the expense of the customers. What a shame about my bad experience here. Have used this hotel many times and I had no issues before until now. Only good thing about it was the central location

Air conditioning not working, there was a broken fan left in our room on our arrival so they obviously knew about the air con, one lift working in a hotel of that size and one towel for two people. It was very uncomfortable in the room. Far too hot.

1 lift to service the entire hotel, aircon broken in our first and second room. To add insult the second room was half the size of the first and not what we paid for. Broken facilities in spa changeing rooms. Just really not good enough

I have stayed here previously, and to be honest the breakfast and staff are what bring us back. Beautiful spacious entrance and bar area. Good selection of breakfast including different varieties of milk.

Unfortunately the room really let us down. Brought my family this time. Previously been alone for work. Pillows have always been like rocks when I have stayed, so no change. The toilet when flushed makes a weird kind of gurgling noise from the sink, that lasts a few minutes. The air-conditioning stopped working so we were supplied with a fan, and a gentleman fixed it, only for it to go off again during the night with another error code. The last issue which was kinda gross was when my 11 year old dropped her phone down the side of the sofa bed.... she lifted the mattress to reach down and there were used condom wrappers, bits of food, drinks bottle and a kids toy. The rooms are now feeling very dated compared to the entrance way, but, as I said, the staff can't be faulted.

The location was good.

We were informed of a planned power outage after we made the booking. If our booking had been refundable I would have cancelled. We were unable to use the pool. The breakfast was poor and the air conditioning in our room was not working. We were offered a room change but we had adjoining rooms and had already settled in the rooms. We struggled to sleep.

Loved the location, the cleanliness. The breakfast was lovely. The rooms were lovely and clean.

The carpark was a challenge to find a space where the car would fit comfortably but there’s not a lot the hotel can do about that.

Bed was terrible to be honest. Was given twin beds not a double as I booked from here. AC stopped working during the night, had to go to reception to ask them to fix it at 3am because the room was so hot. They provided a fan kindly at 3am and fixed the AC. Bath wasn’t cleaned had a man’s body hair on it. Bedsheet had women’s period blood stain on it. No massage availability for the 2 days I was there which was a let down.

the room was very noisy from the air conditioning ,turned off. but still had a constant humming noise . there was noise from people using the toilets in other rooms. the toilet doors in the gents near the bar had broken lock and one you couldn't close . the breakfast was very dried up , the room was tiny and no where to sit down without using the beds.

Aircon in the room is noisy (thumping) I notified the reception as I left to tour the city and they told me they would call maintenance to investigate. When I returned to the room there was no change so I slept with aircon switched-off. The reception seating for guests has very dated furniture/colour scheme and is so low-it/dark as to appear gloomy/unwelcoming space to sit.
