This time I was disappointed in staff response for an extra blanket. It took three calls and about three hours to receive an extra blanket

As always, the staff is great, and we could not make it without Rowdy and Sam! That being said, PLEASE fix the A/C on the shuttles. It's bad enough on the non-patients but the patients don't need to be submitted to the sweltering Houston heat! Thank you!

Nice stay. Staff were friendly and helpful; room was clean and as described. We didn't have any issues during our stay. The hotel had many international guests (world cup) but it wasn't as crowded as we were expecting. We would stay here again in the future.

This location is very attentive to the needs of guests who might be visiting for appointments at MD Anderson or other area hospitals. The shuttle drivers are gracious and kind, particularly Rowdy. We specifically appreciated his sense of humor and the fact that he’s “always on time.”

We have been staying at this hotel off and on for the last 5 months. I must say that Rowdy is the best. He goes the extra mile to make sure my mom gets to all her appointments. We are soooooooo pleased with this hotel.

Driver was great. I don’t appreciate Front desk not calling him when I needed a pickup from Methodist Outpatient. I had to wait 55 minutes for a pickup when driver was sitting at hotel. This is not typical Hilton front desk experience. She needs to do her job.

Rowdy has done a great job at a difficult time.

Rowdy is the kindest person. We left on time and arrived on time to our location. He was such a help during our visit.

Rowdy was very pleasant. However, the policy to go once an hour to MDAnderson with patients is ridiculous. The bus is crowded with patients and their families and the drivers stand around doing nothing for 45 minutes between runs.

One of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The lack of professionalism and attention to guests was completely unacceptable. I expected far better from this brand, and I hope corporate looks into how this property is being managed.

The suite gave us a lot of space; great for a multigenerational family group.

The only problem was that although I had confirmed ahead of time the number of beds (2 beds in second bedroom) and type of bathroom (walk in shower in second bedroom) when we checked in that type of room was not available (were given a suite with a queen bed and bathtub in second bedroom). The staff was helpful in the sense that they told us that we could switch to the other type of room at our convenience on the following day. But by that point we had already settled in and figured out how to work around the layout that we had received and just stayed put.

Absolutely best driver I’ve ever had. Rowdy needs to be paid more for his first class service. He needs to be a driver for the secret service. If there is an example of a driver who is excellent, warm, and personal, it’s Rowdy.

Armando is an amazing host/bartender/server. Very kind and knowledgeable. Great conversation and an overall great person. Best part of my stay during my month in this hotel.

I stayed here for four nights while attending medical appointments, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this location. The nightly rates are high, yet the hotel continues to nickel-and-dime its guests. The Downsides: Parking Stress: You must pay a daily fee to park, but finding a space is incredibly difficult. The lot is small and shared with non-guests who pay daily rates. Breakfast Upselling: The breakfast buffet is $10 per day, but only if you prepay for every single day of your stay. Otherwise, it jumps to $20 per day. No Free Coffee: There is no complimentary coffee available in the lobby, and the options they do have lack flavored creamers. Overwhelmed Staff: The front desk team appeared overwhelmed and understaffed during check-in and check-out. The Positives: Great Restaurant Staff: The restaurant crew was very friendly, and the food was decent. Clean and Quiet: The property itself was clean, and the room was quiet enough to get a good night's rest. Overall, the high price tag does not match the value provided. Next time, I will look for a hotel that treats its guests with more hospitality.

We have been staying at this hotel from May 18 through June 30 while my mother undergoes cancer treatment, and our experience has been wonderful. A special thank you to our shuttle driver, Roudy. He is caring, dependable, and always punctual when picking us up and taking us to our appointments. Thanks to him, we are always on time and often arrive early. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern for guests make a difficult time much easier for our family. My mom and I always prefer when Roudy is our driver because we know we are in good hands. It is also clear that many other guests appreciate and care for him as much as we do. The hotel staff have been incredibly kind, compassionate, and accommodating throughout our stay. My mother feels very comfortable here and is able to get the rest she needs during her treatment. In fact, she has asked to continue staying at this hotel because of how welcomed and cared for she feels. Thank you to Roudy and the entire hotel team for making our stay so comfortable during such an important time in our lives.

We loved our stay. Part of what made it memorable was Armando, our server and bartender at dinner. Very friendly, very helpful and always efficient. Always has a lovely smile when we see him! Always makes us feel welcome!

Check in was fantastic and getting warm cookies at checkin was a special treat. The rooms were very nice and beds were comfortable. I met my brother there who has brain cancer and we went to MD Anderson for help. The restaurant staff was phenomenal and super helpful and friendly. After not receiving the news from MD Anderson that we had hoped for we decided to check out a day early. Upon checkout the nice black lady was helping us check out. The other lady named Vanessa informed us of a 75 dollar early check out fee. I questioned the fee and Vanessa got really rude and told us to take it up with the Hilton group. I asked if they could waive the fee and said looked over at me rolling her eyes and said bye! Very dismissive and condescending. I asked Vanessa for her last name and she told me her last name was “EFF OFF” I could not believe what she said. I told her we were here in Houston looking for help for my brother and that was no way to talk to customers. She radioed security which again I could not believe. Security never showed but we left to catch our flight back home. I cannot ever stay at another doubletree knowing they hire people like Vanessa. So disappointed!!

We have traveled to the Houston medical center for a serious and stressful situation several times since October 25. We have had good experiences in the DoubleTree. It is convenient and relaxing with great transportation via shuttle. The lobby bar is a welcome respite after an arduous day. Thank you Armando for your kindness and conversations.

We enjoy eating breakfast at your restaurant… Especially the little Hispanic lady that’s been with you for so long… I call her mama!!

Vanessa was the receptionist the checked us out at 6:14 on 4/22. We checked out early because MD Anderson was not able to do anything for my brother. Vanessa was very rude and very condescending and would not stop her rudeness. I asked for her name and I looked at her name tag and I said ok it's Vanessa. She said, do you want my last name, I said yes and she said her last name was "fuck off". I could not believe what we lived through with her. People stay there because they are there to get life saving treatments. I will never stay there again. Can't believe you employ such people!!

Tired hotel . Rooms were not very clean and house-keeping wasnt the best. Breakfast was dire and best to avoid. Some of the reception staff had serious attitude and were quite unfriendly.

While every staff member I encountered was courteous and helpful, there were two who stood out for going ABOVE AND BEYOND: Rowdy the shuttle bus driver, and Maria in the canteen. To say they were “amazing” or “incredible” wouldn’t even come close to articulating their level of care, selflessness, and professionalism. Being a hotel near the medical center, many of the patrons are patients and their families going through the darkest moments of their lives. Rowdy and Maria were beacons of light, of hope, of humor, and of humanity. To be able to bring a smile to a cancer patient’s face is a gift, and that kindness has a ripple effect that makes you happy and grateful…and gives me some extra hope for humanity. Thank you a million times over to them and the brightness they bring.

We have been to DoubleTree a few times for medical visits. They always do a great job. Probably the best experience is with Armando at the bar/ Diner area. He is always so welcoming and accommodating. He truly is the highlight of the hotel. He actually remembered us and it's been about 6 months since we've been there, and they must have hundreds of people go through there everyday.

Rowdy was the best. He helped us out so much and had such a positive attitude.
