Provider-sourced guest reviews.
We really enjoyed our stay, our suite was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful, we just had a service issue during our breakfast and I made a note on the receipt for the management, that is why I not give them five stars! We will definitely stay here again. Thank you
Clean , professional and accommodating
Nothing
The hotel was clean, smelled good and had a light and airy feel to it. The tub in the room was massive. We chose the poolside room. Having an outdoor seating area connected to our room was the best. All of the staff we interacted with were extremely pleasant. The free local transportation was an absolute delight for us. It gave us the ability to explore the local park, zoo, museums, etc. The in house restaurant had good food, but for me personally, it was a little pricey. The other guests were definitely more on the fancy side compared to us but we didn't feel completely out of place. Might have been the fact we had a pizza eating first grader with us and the people walking by were generally in evening wear. My only criticism would be the pool itself. I think I would have still chosen a poolside room just for the semi private sitting area but the pool was I believe at a four foot depth the whole length across. My child couldn't touch and isn't a strong swimmer yet so we had to hold him the entire time. He normally wants to be in the water 24/7 but after a few hours on day one, he didn't want to use it anymore. Happily enough the local park had an amazing splashpad we spent the day at.
Beautiful location, near the medical district. Short distance to NRG field and a short distance to downtown Houston. Great dining at Safina. This is the 2nd time I have lodged at this hotel. I will be back.
Great hotel near Medical Complex in Houston. Great rooms and very good restaurant, especially for a hotel
This is a very nice hotel and great location for the Medical Center Area, which has numerous specialty hospitals, including MD Anderson Cancer Center, Children’s Hospital, etc. Tha staff is very thoughtful and well trained in dealing with both guests just visiting the area and those that are their for treatments, they watch out for you, help you as needed, check on you if they haven’t seen you in a while etc. The location is also great as it’s near the Museum District and Rice Village it’s shops and restaurant options..
My room was ready on both of my visits this month. I appreciated being able to check in a bit early. I enjoyed the added benefits of the pure wellness rooms. However, I was disappointed in the low water pressure. One room had moldy grout behind the sink in the bathroom and both rooms had dusty baseboards which I felt to be unacceptable for a pure wellness room. The desk staff were friendly and professional but did not seem to be willing to do anything beyond the basics required of them. I expected someone might offer me a cart as they watched me struggle back and forth with my belongings from self parking. That did not happen. I was just quietly observed by multiple employees. Despite my discussion with one of the employees regarding my discounted medical rate and the following weeks upcoming visit, no mention was made to me that I had failed to get the discounted rate for the second visit. I did feel like she must have noticed that and just didn't mention it. It's these kind of small gestures that really make a big difference. Despite these things, I will likely return.
The television casting did not function. The front desk immediately dispatched someone who was unable to get it to work. The dispatched person indicated he would contact the “it guy” who would soon come to help. That never happened. So I was without casting. I was disappointed that a service commitment was ignored. Also, housekeeping neglected to re-stock the facial tissue, which was empty. Fortunately we were able to use toilet paper for that purpose Definitely not four star service. We did however find the breakfast quality and service to be outstanding.
Housekeeping was truly excellent. Regina is amazing. Staff extremely friendly and competent. Outstanding facilities and cleanliness.
Overall, I thought it was a nice property. After having a ling removed at MD Anderson, I did request some extra comfort for the bed seeing that the mattress’s were very stern. The assistant front office manager took care of my concern, and when I returned from the hospital, a mattress topper had been added to my bed. I was very appreciative. I feel that the sheets could have been a softer fabric as it seemed more on the low quality end. One other thing that I was disappointed with was ordering food for room service. I was in no position to leave my room and every single meal ordered, although very timely, was delivered at a cold/luke warm temperature. I was surprised to see the rooms did not consist of a microwave.
Fabulous hotel with excellent bedding, AC that works well and a great bathroom setup. It’s my go to hotel for Houston.
The Intercontinental was a comfortable and clean stay, very close to the medical campus. It was walking distance with sidewalks to MD Anderson, as well as the surrounding hospitals. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. We stayed club level; the amenities were well maintained and the breakfast was nice! Overall I’d highly recommend.
Super convienient location - everything we were trying to get to was very close by. Check in and check out we’re both super quick, with staff being both friendly and efficient. My room was clean and spacious with no issues whatsoever. I also think the key cards are so adorable on a personal note :)
I spent extra points to have pool access for my son that wanted to be in the pool only to find out that the pool was closed. I wouldn’t have spent the extra points if I knew in advance that the pool was closed. I told front desk about it and all they could say was sorry.
La ubicación
La contratar la publicidad decía que incluía el desayuno de 2 adultos y dos menores, al llegar al desayuno, solo incluía desayuno de dos personas, el estacionamiento también lo cobran, en la publicidad decía que estaba incluido en el costo
Everything was great .. the concierge Alessandro was excellent the girl who checked me out was not … I was also charged a night of parking when i shouldnt have
We booked this as part of Amex's hotel program. The bellhop was the first great impression. He came over and offered to bring up the luggage from the car, and he did a great job. We noted the presence of and pleasant ambience at the various dining areas, like the on-site restaurant and bar. The room was nice, though a couch (even without sofabed) would have been nice in addition to the beds which were excellent. The desk and chair were great for getting some work done, but a second desk and chair would have been a nice option, too. Everything was spotlessly clean throughout. The fitness center overlooks the pool, which is smart and nice to have for safety purposes, like if one spouse wants to work out while the other swims and there isn't anyone else at the pool. We did not hear any noise from neighboring rooms. The hotel offers pure wellness rooms, which I forgot to request, but I was happy with their standard room and did not feel like I missed anything with that. This level of hotel is obviously more expensive than lower-brand Hyatts, but you're paying for the additional services and conveniences, including the above-mentioned bellhop, laundry service (as opposed to having machines for you to do that yourself) and the room service options for even private in-room massages. The location was right near the medical center, and was fairly central to various points of interest for us. Due to the location (presumably), parking is relatively expensive, and is at the garage attached to the building. There is an elevator to the lobby from the garage and then a different elevator that goes from the lobby to the rooms (and the other way, of course).
A fabulous hotel right by TX medical center. Very nice and new rooms. Great service. A nice lounge, certainly worth extra few dollars. Special thanks to Pier, their director of rooms. I stayed there twice already.
I greatly appreciated the room upgrade for being IHG Platinum member. We visit MD Anderson quarterly for consultations regarding my cancer. It helps to have a nice room when I try to sleep the night before I receive my test results. I am cancer free for 21 months, and I am grateful.
Amazing hotel! I was able to experience a great stay. Beautiful room and great foods at the executive lounge.
The shower and bathroom floor was covered in hair. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were also lacking. 0 out of 10. Will never book again. I booked here since it was close to take my mom to Md Anderson but I should’ve booked the doubletree. It was clean and closer
I was very shocked by the completely new staff at the Bar and restaurant. The new valet also needs serious training for improvement. The Bar staff needs classy outfits and better training for service. I normally stay at the intercontinental regularly when attending HLSR and my doctor's appointments. This whole experience is more on the level of a Holiday Inn Express. But even the Galliera Holiday Inn as more class than the Intercontinental right now. I also was shocked by the group of white Geto bring in Grubhub and setting up dinner on the bar from Torches Taco. Zero respect for the other guest trying to enjoy the Hotel appetizers and beverages. The new Management Team needs support for immediate improvement. I truly wise the Best for the Intercontinental going forward, its one of my favorite places to stay. The room was perfect and quiet. Sincerely Leon Seidl
There was a shuttle
Our room wasn’t cleaned when we came back to the room, they just took all the towels. We had to call the reception and asked for bringing towels. We had to do call the reception again after having waited an half hour in a wet swimming suits. They finally brought some towels but we were so cold by then. Very windy pool site. Went there three times to watch World Cup games but it was so windy and had to keep all my plates and cup from flying away.
Intercontinental never disappoints, no matter what city we are in. It is always worth what little extra per night charge is compared to other hotel because of the customer service and the way you are treated once you arrive for check in. This was our first time staying in the Intercontinental Houston but rest assured it won’t be our last
the staff, location and cleanliness
they had a shut down water, and I had to stay hours in the hotel without leaving because I need to shower
Thanks to the incredibly comfortable bedding, spotless room conditions, and super handy free shuttle service, it is a fantastic premium choice for everyone—from corporate travelers to families visiting local museums and the zoo. One thing to keep in mind is that the daily parking fee is on the higher side, so checking out parking-inclusive deals before you book is definitely a smart move.
They put metal water bottles out and say one is complementary, then charge $9.00 for this. There was a sneaky charge after the stay. There was never any callback on this issue despite twice the front desk saying they would. Treadmills dont work in the gym. TV by the pool didnt work. You cant trust this site. Essentially your are forced into $42 valet parking. Will not stay again
Courteous and wonderful staff. Neat rooms. I had access to the Club Intercontinental Lounge and the breakfast was wonderful...probably the best I have had so far. I am looking forward to trying other Intercontinental Hotels to see if this was just a one off.
Exceptional service. We went for an appointment at MD anderson and the location and shuttle worked perfectly. The rooms were well-appointed and very comfortable beds!
Loved the free shuttle service. All staff were fantastic.
Nothing.
1 - The air conditioner could not be adjusted so we finally had to just turn it off. 2 - There were at least 3 lights that did not work. 3 - The toilet in the middle of the night just quit working and we had to work on it to finally get it to flush. 4 - And there was a water leak which caused my husband to not be able to take a shower for several hours. He had an early MDA appointment the next morning a wanted to get to bed early. 5 - And for the price of that room, the above was not acceptable.

Even during an extremely busy World Cup event and people everywhere the hotel and their leadership stayed calm and in control. It's a truly well run and wonderful hotel. Try to upgrade to have access to the club lounge. It is worth it. Thank you for a great stay.
Helpfulness of staff - especially the shuttle drivers and the cleanliness
Zuvorkommender Service, gutes Restaurant. Tolle Überraschung, dass die deutsche Nationalmannschaft für das WM-Spiel in Houston ebenfalls dort übernachtete.
The only issues we had was in the shower it wasn't cleaned very good had someone else's hair on the wall and the fruit that we ordered from room service had a blueberry with mold on it contaminating the whole bowl.
Always great experience. Great food. Quiet rooms always recommend
The room was very nice and very clean. We had a nice view of the pool. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was very good. Will stay here again.

We spent a night here and were very comfortable. It was a bit tricky getting the room temperature exactly as we wanted. Rooms were impeccably clean. It was very quiet.
Comfortable beds & convenient shuttle service!
Got a notice that water is out cause of pipe issue, right when I had to take a shower. I was on a business trip so this was a huge inconvenience.
The location is great for visiting MDA.
The self-parking was supposed to be covered by the hotel via use of room key card. It never worked and we had to pay each time we left the hotel.
I was less than impressed with the overall experience. I expected more from what is supposed to be one of IHG’s premier chains. Poor cooling system in the room and horrible water temperature control in the shower.
We chose the InterContinental Houston for a family vacation over Memorial Day weekend. As an Ambassador member, I was disappointed from the start when my membership wasn't recognized and we weren't offered an upgrade. Instead, we were placed in a standard room that felt more like a Holiday Inn. However, after asking about my perks, the front desk agent kindly gave us access to the Club Lounge, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, our room experience went downhill. The water in our first room on the Club floor was scalding hot with no cold water at all. While engineering was quick to respond, they couldn't fix it, forcing us to pack up and move. Our second room had functioning plumbing but a severe cleanliness issue—the pillows and sheets had a very strong, unpleasant odor. Front desk sent up two new pillows, but by the next day, the entire room smelled like that same odor. It made it incredibly hard to sleep, and we left very frustrated. Pros: Excellent location near Rice University. The staff is the bright spot here—they respond quickly to issues, and the Club Lounge attendant works tirelessly to keep food and drinks stocked. Cons: Not worth the premium price tag, especially when you factor in the $20/day amenity fees (they later waived for me) and expensive parking. I will not be returning.
We checked in and then immediately left because we had a meeting that went late into the night so when I returned, I went to sleep. The next morning I went to take a shower and there was a used bar of soap sitting in the soap dish of the bathtub. I had to leave for a meeting by 11:30 so at 9am when I saw the soap I called front desk and asked for them to remove it and clean the tub. They promised someone to be there in 10min. But no one showed up. I called multiple times and after an hour I was at risk of being late so they finally offered me to shower in the vacant room next door. They also promised to address it while I was gone and would give me a call to update me. I never received a call and when I returned to the room, the bar of soap was still there. By this time it was about 8pm and the maids had left. Finally a manager comes and personally removed the bar of soap and apologized profusely. That was nice however, for the inconvenience he also offers us room service for anything we want from the dinner menu up until 10:30pm when he leaves work. I take a nap and by 9pm I wake up and ask my husband and daughter what they would like to order. I call down to make the order and no one answers the room service line. I wait and then call the front desk and ask for Jim. I am put on eternal hold so I just go ahead and end the call. I call back to the room service line and no one answers. I call front desk again and ask for Jim as he told us to ask for him by name and he said “whatever you want just call to make the order with me before 10:30pm” on occasion that someone would answer the phone, they would question why I need to speak to the manager and had nasty attitudes and say he is busy with other guests. I explain that I just need to get my order and they tell me to call room service but no one ever answers. I called in circles for the next hour and a half until it was 10:40 and someone finally answered the room service line and was ready to take my order after the dinner menu had already ended at 10:30pm. So they have a horrible attitude and say I can only have salad and cold cuts or whatever is on the late menu. I see soup on the late menu and ask what soup they have. She responds with an attitude that I can only get the late menu because the kitchen is closed and there’s no more cooking or warming of the food so soup is not included there. I explain that soup is listed on that late menu and she tells me I need to look at the updated menu on the QR code, but I’m looking on the menu provided on the desk in the room so how was I supposed to know? My husband and I settle for salads, hummus and chips and my daughter just got a ham sandwich with lays chips. After 15minutes the “cook” delivers the food and asks for $85 but we explain that Jim said it would not be charged. She has a horrible attitude but she leaves and we open the bag. It was very underwhelming and the worst part is not even that my daughter had a ham sandwich for dinner with chips… the worst is when she bit into the ham sandwich, there was a long hair from the “cook” inside the sandwich. I really felt it was convenient for them to not answer until the hot foods that were more appetizing and more costly were no longer offered. From the start, the maids didn’t clean the bathroom well or they would have seen there was a used zest bar of soap on the tub. While I was gone the whole day, allegedly they came back and cleaned the tub but left the soap so that lets me know it’s not cleaned thoroughly.. with the hanta virus going around.. so I thought it was kind that I’m offered meals for my family if I call and speak with Jim but Jim never comes to the phone for almost 2 hours. I feel they didn’t want to make it right and almost everyone there has a horrible attitude when it’s easily solvable. So I do not recommend this hotel and for the price I definitely expect a lot better experience. Very disappointed
I was very disappointed with the lack of “polish” that this hotel had. I don’t think my expectations were too high and certainly not met by a hotel that charges 250/night and $50+/day for parking. Specifically, the rooms furniture was starting to fall apart (this doesn’t happen overnight), light bulb in the lamp were burned out, ice machine on the floor was not working the entire stay, our car smelled of pot after being brought up by the valet. I don’t want to mislead you to think that I believe someone smoked pot in our car. I believe that the valet did, at some point and the smell of it from his clothes left the odor in our car from him driving it up to us. I called about ice on day two because I thought it might just be out from use and trying to get ice to our room was a multi-call process. I DID have a conversation with the manager of the day and he was thankful for the “specifics” but that was all he had to say. The restaurant food was very good but the service was so Slow. We kept joking that they were waiting for the chicken to lay the eggs who knows where they had to go to get the food for our dinner order. The location is what makes this place appealing but the service and attention to even little details seems to have gone on autopilot and they have forgotten that they are a luxury brand.
We stayed at the Intercontinental last week for my husband’s medical appointments at MDA. The location is very close and convenient to all the hospitals in Medical Center. A shuttle is available to take you to the surrounding medical center. It was very helpful to take so we didn’t have to worry about parking in the garages. Pier at the front desk was very accommodating and informative he made sure all our needs were met. He was very friendly and courteous. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. We had to stay in the Medical Center the following week for my Husband’s upcoming surgery. I did not hesitate to book my stay at the Intercontinental so I am able to go back and forth to MDA. During my husband’s hospital stay.
We have been staying at the InterContinental by IHGG near Rice University for 4 years now. We used this as our base when visiting our son at school. The service has always been first class, especially the team members who work there. We highly recommend this facility, the management and their super helpful team members.
This is a very nice hotel with good service. However, I did not appreciate the barking dog right under my window at 4:30am! I was on the 10th floor apparently right above the rooms where dogs are allowed. The rooms appeared to each have small courtyards so the dogs had an outdoor space. I was rudely awakened at 4:30am by a dog barking right under my window off and on for 15-20 minutes! If staying here again, I would not accept one of these rooms!
The staff was wonderful and the hotel was excellent.
SPOT LIGHT ON: Jim Manhouse If one person can be said to have transformed this stay from exceptional into truly unforgettable, it is Jim Manhouse. His warmth is felt from the very first exchange — a genuine smile, a patient ear, and a manner that makes every guest feel not like a visitor passing through, but like a cherished friend who has finally come home. His approach to customer service is not simply professional; it is something far more personal and far more rare. Jim has a remarkable gift for anticipating what a guest needs before the thought is even fully formed. Whether steering you toward a hidden local gem, remembering a preference from a previous conversation, or pausing simply to ask how your day has gone, his positivity is both consistent and completely genuine. His energy has a way of lifting the entire room — guests and colleagues alike feel it. A hotel is only ever as memorable as the people within it, and Jim Manhouse stands as the very finest expression of what this property represents.
Las instalaciones
Deben mejorar el servicio de las habitaciones. Un dia no lo realizaron, otro no completaron el cafe, otro no completaron el azucar. Siempre habia algo que no realizaban bien
Stanza comoda, buona posizione, staff cordiale.
The location was close M D Anderson clinic so that was good

Very nice Hotel, with a very warm pool, but windy though due to the high rises. The food service was surprisingly good and reasonably priced both the restaurant and the bar area with happy hour. The chef is Middle Eastern and the food is creative in flavors and extremely pleasing. The restaurant gets five stars by itself.! We have stayed there three times and will be back; it is a favorite Hotel of my best friend for years and thus was a good recommendation. By the way, they had special discount prices for medical tourism through our medical provider, making this a win.
The hotel benefits from a very convenient and well-positioned location, which is undoubtedly its strongest attribute. However, beyond this, the overall experience falls short of what one would reasonably expect from the InterContinental brand. The property has more the feel of a budget-oriented business hotel rather than a premium offering. Service throughout was notably inconsistent and, at times, overly laid-back. Interactions with staff felt somewhat cold and transactional, lacking the warmth and attentiveness typically associated with a hotel of this calibre. The breakfast buffet was particularly underwhelming, both in terms of quality and organisation. Notably, some of the serving bowls in the buffet spread were chipped, which detracted further from the overall presentation and raised concerns about attention to detail. What was most concerning, however, was the apparent introduction of differing “rules” depending on which member of staff was present, leading to confusion and an impression of inconsistency in service standards. Overall, this was a disappointing stay and not in keeping with the level of quality and professionalism one expects from InterContinental. There is clear room for improvement to align the guest experience with the brand’s established reputation.
Great location for medical, museums, and Rice Village. Nice interior design attractive and calming. Best sleeping bed rooms have numerous amenities.
Once again you saved the day. The rooms and cleanliness of the hotel overall was great. We were having a bad experience with a different hotel and had to leave in the middle of the night and we were able to book a room with your hotel, glad I remembered our last stay here. Everyone was very happy in our party.
I traveled to Houston on business and the room was reserved ahead of time by the organization that requested that I address them. I wound up paying for the room itself plus parking because your front desk didn't have the prepayment despite my showing them the confirmation #. I was eventually reimbursed by the non-profit and later found out that someone in your organization assigned two different #s to the account that resulted in the mix up. I also didn't appreciate being billed in-advance for $100 to cover incidentals when I didn't use incidentals. All in all, I think your reservation process needs attention. lt is disorganized and lacks attention to details that make a guest's travel experience easier rather than more taxing. The parking charge is exorbitant at $40 per day even for the Houston Medical Center. The room itself was very nice and I enjoyed swimming laps in the pool. The front desk staff was polite, but somewhat clueless. They obviously need lessons on how to book and cross reference prepaid room reservations. Not a problem that I would have anticipated given that it's a Hilton.
I’ve stayed at this property approximately 20 times over the past 5 years. It is going downhill; obviously priorities have changed. Not as clean or well maintained. They have removed complementary bottled water and replaced with $9/ water with note to refill at fitness center on 9th floor or lobby. No water fountain or dispenser in any other place. Staff very friendly and helpful. IHG Lifetime Platinum and no where to get bottled water except 2 in room for $9 each.
Efficient, friendly, good food, nice room. Great valet and bellman.
$9 bottles of water in room. while reusable aluminum still very high price. Would be good for front desk to explain only water option beyond tap is $9. Water was in heating option for tea from past guest. Cup not cleaned and left with tea bag in it. When I completed survey and mentioned water cost. Got a message how containers are reusable and saving the environment. However for one time only they will provide complimentary water. Then provided plastic ones.
I cannot say enough about the beautiful hotel and the incredible staff that makes every one and every visit a wonderful experience. The hospitality of the management and staff is beyond exceptional.
I would definitely return to the hotel. The room was clean. Staff friendly. Location is not the best.
Dwight was SO wonderful in getting my friend and I to our destination safely, in a timely manner. He was kind and personable, and provided excellent recommendations for things to do while we are visiting. Huge kudos to him!!
Everyone was absolutely nice and extremely clean. More than expected. 🥰
The room phone didn’t work and it took me about an hour to contact room service. Other than that it was great. 👍🏻
Standard hotel in a pleasant area of the Medical district
We were somewhat disappointed that at 2pm the receptionist wanted 65 USD for early check-in even though she eventually waived it - an unnecessary unpleasant start to the stay that will affect the whole impression
Service and accomodations.
The valet guys surronding my vehicle to compete for my tip. Somehow, they knew I was a big tipper and four of the valet guys three black and one hispanic surronded my vehicle to assist with loading my very light luggage in my car after I checked out of the hotel. Four guys was not necessary. I was working with the hispanic guy who had serviced me with a luggage cart and took my escorted me and my luggage to the front enterence.
Very clean exceptional service from the front desk bellman,to valet
Exceptional
The fact that there was food (fish) left in the refrigerator by a prior guest. The room was not cleaned properly or this would not have happened. It smelled gross.
We didn’t have the breakfast because I had an early doctors appointment.
We did not like having to use a QRcode for everything.
Very clean, the hospitality was top tier

We showed up at 3:00 pm to check in. It was an Ambassador stay so there should have been an upgrade - I pay $225 a year or whatever it is for Ambassador status. Our room was not ready. So here's the thing - you market yourself as a top tier hotel - to me, that means your customers should always come first. Instead, I felt like we were merely an inconvenience. We were sent up to the "club" (which we'd already paid for) to wait. It was 3:00, so nothing was out in the club. We just sat there. And sat there. And sat there. Until 5:00 pm at which time the club opened up and food came out as well as drinks. Our room still wasn't ready. We waited until 5:45 for our room, which was supposed to be ready at 3:00 pm. Here's how it should have gone: "I'm sorry, you're room is not ready. Why don't you all sit at the bar, we'll give you some drinks and some snacks for your family. As soon as your room is ready, we'll let you know." Or, "I'm sorry, your room isn't ready. We're going to put you in two rooms with two queens each, so your kids can have one room and you and your wife can have the other. It's the least we can do." Or, "Your room isn't ready, so we're going to upgrade you to a suite like we should have done in the first place." But none of that is what happened. Instead, we sat alone in an empty club for 2.75 hours. Almost three hours before our room was ready. I've been treated better at Holiday Inns and certainly better at a Marriott or Hyatt. The "upgrade:" We got the same room I paid for. I'm still not sure what the upgrade was, if anything. On our bill it showed some sort of "naturalist" package, but we paid for that. There was an $87.53 charge for "The Naturalist Dinner - Wine." To me, an upgrade is the next level of room, not a charge of $87 for some wine that you didn't ask for. I didn't feel like we got an "Ambassador upgrade." Meanwhile, we're waiting for almost three hours in the empty "club." I eventually went down to ask what was going on. The desk offered me 5000 points for my inconvenience. Here's what I think: customer service it taking care of your customers, not placating them with a minimal gesture that you read off of some corporate check list. My family was treated badly, I was embarrassed, and our weekend away was a disappointment. I know - first world problems. But I'm paying first world prices, so I think I get to expect first world service. None of that happened. At the end of the day, I think someone sent up a cheese tray to make it all ok. Gee, thanks. Look, I know you need to make a profit. But i also know you market yourselves as an upscale hotel that takes care of its customers. I didn't feel like we were at an upscale hotel and I didn't feel like we were what mattered. I felt like the Intercontinental Houston didn't really care about our experience. That's not what I want for my family.
We stayed here for a short visit to Houston and appreciated the friendly and welcoming front desk staff. The hotel is in a very convenient location, just a short drive to Rice University and the Museum District, which made it easy to explore the area. However, the facility maintenance needs improvement. The toilet in our room couldn’t be flushed properly. Although the maintenance staff came promptly to fix it, the same issue happened again the next day. It was a bit disappointing since everything else was pleasant. Overall, great location and service, but the hotel could benefit from better upkeep of its facilities.
The staff and vallet is superhelpful. My car is already prep upon my arrival in the lobby. Pecial thanks to Liliana Valet!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was comfortable and welcoming, and the valet service was excellent. Aziz and Abdul did a great job very professional, friendly, and helpful. They made our experience even better. We would definitely stay here again.
Location, professional staff with great attitude. The restaurant: great cuisine - we loved the hummus especially. The Restaurant/Bar Area are a little cold and impersonal, less cheerful than a guest who goes to MD Anderson might find comfort in. Concierge and Maid service ware outstanding. All in all one a great stay. The room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Soft bathrobes to boot.
The bar area and the Restaurant feel and ambiance, perhaps due to the very high ceilings, are a bit dated and cold. Since many guests may be visiting also MD Anderson for treatment, a warmer, more soothing environ in color and especially light, may be great. The morning coffee, albeit very good, is expensive $6+. We found other comparable Hotels offeer free coffee in the morning for guests staying a full week, like we did.
This is always the most cleanest hotel, great food and the staff is amazing from check in to check out. We will be staying there again when needed. Thank you for your amazing hospitality
We did not have the breakfast. The one time I attempted to retrieve from the dining area I didn't manage to even catch the eye of the young woman behind the counter. We enjoyed the bar area the staff were incredible.
The ribeye steak, I believe was a sirloin. Either way it was overcooked and overpriced. The room service menu was very limited.
The staff and room cleanliness and quality are great. The restaurant staff is nice and responsive. The food is exceptional.
Wonderful experience. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Hotel is beautiful. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. We were there for medical reasons and hotel was very accommodating with our erratic schedule. Thank you so much
I have stayed here at least four times and every time I have not been disappointed. The rooms are clean, the beds are SO comfortable, and I LOVE the shower (water pressure and temp were on spot). The front desk personnel were nice and welcoming. This particular hotel is my go-to when in Houston! We had a cheer comp at the convention center, and it was about a 15-minute drive. NRG Stadium was also not too far.
My stay at the hotel was great, nice room, great staff, my only issue is having to pay $50 a night for parking! I found this absurd especially for IHG members!
