The staff are all very friendly and polite.

The windows don't close properly - should be replaced. We were not allowed a microwave in the room - we also were not allowed heating up of our own food.

Location

It’s unsanitary. There are birds living at both pools using them as toilets. Everything outside is covered in bird droppings. The room itself was moldy as the bathroom fan doesn’t work and no window in bathroom, so extremely moist and wet surfaces.

Alot of activities on site and in surrounding area. Good location for exploring the garden route with lovely restaurants and little shops.

Changed rooms 3x during a 3 night stay. Hotel is old and the rooms needs a proper revamp. Smoke alarm went off twice during our stay, including late at night. No apologies or explanation from hotel staff or management. Communication is poor and need improvement.

Recently renovated and very clean

This property is our stop over on Garden Route nice to see the revamp . Booking in was amazing staff very friendly and helpful . But need some attention to TV signals and picture quality . Room service was disappointing as room 102 tried to order and was told they couldn’t and that was before 7 pm . We in room 101 got to order but got the wrong stuff instead of toasted cheese got chicken cheese and had a fee of R30 extra plus gave a tip . Only found out the next morning that our guest didn’t have supper 😪. Would be nice if the restaurant gave a bit more halaal meats / cold meat or know what butcher it come from . We pay the same amount of money for rooms not really fair when you think about it .

Everything was just perfect from the time we checked in the front desk reception was very welcoming and very helpful. The staff was very professional, so much so we are definately booking at this hotel again. 100/10

Everything was perfect! Great charm hotel with lots of history on it's walls. Great location within walking distance to restaurants and shops. So much to do at the place also. We had the family apartment, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was awesome!

Pity we couldn't stay longer.

The hotel met expectations. We enjoyed being able to have a massage on site.

Meal options for vegetarians limited. Vegetarian food was mostly restricted to side dishes, while the meat was clearly the main focus of meals. Family interleading room somewhat small - no door between rooms which made privacy difficult to manage with a teenager. Bathroom aslo quite small for family of 4 sharing. Although we were 5 booked we only found 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels in the room on arrival - we did manage to get some extras from the housekeeping staff.

Our children enjoyed the activities available on the grounds, we used the gym and had a session at the spa. There was plenty to do on a cold winter's dayc when going to the beach was not really an option.

The DSTV package is REALLY bad (only a few, uninteresting channels). Ordering food for room service- the food took over an hour to come. I'm not sure what went wrong here. The kitchen supervisor who came on duty did come and apologize for the delay. The phone in the room didn't work, so I had to walk up and down from my room to reception.

The hotel was beautiful but the rooms were not up to standard at all!. Dirty marks on the bed shirts. Freezing in the 2 rooms we stayed in as the aircon did not work. Also the windows could not close all the way, and a few didn't even have handles on them. The lighting in the rooms were not warm and welcoming either. That being said the hotel and their facilities itself looked stunning! I cant understand why you'd neglect the guests rooms when this is the most important part of the stay.

The guest rooms need a serious upgrade. Use Warm lighting and fix aircons, and please make sure your windows close in winter! We were freezing and had to bring in our own extra beddings to stay warm.

Small things need to be improved. No service from bar staff while seated in lounge, bar stsff weren't very accommodating. Toilet was blocked. Card disabled half an hour before check out. Very frustrating when you need access to your room. Card should only disable at 10am.

The room we had windows could not close, had to get maintenance to add a handle onto the window. The window faces the main road and did not see a physical security guard. I think security can be more of a concern.

This is a special place with a very nice room with a great view. Walking distance from a few great restaurants and shops. Very clean and great staff.

We liked everything.

We were on the ground floor so a bit noisy. The room was clean and lovely but a bit cramped. Water in the shower took a very long time to warm up. The breakfast was a generous and diverse spread. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Construction and other equipment was being carried through the dining room during breakfast which was disruptive and spoiled the ambience.

The resort location is amazing. We did not do breakfast but had supper on the Ala carte menu, the food was good value for money.

The tea, coffee, milk in the room could have been a little more. Restricted to one cup tea/coffee and only two sachets' of milk.

Ants infestation in my first room, I complained and was told to go back to my room and wait there until they have another room available, note I had a 3month old baby and this is supposed to accommodate us, the next room also had ants, no curtains in shower, broken rings in taps exposing dirt underneath

Location is amazing! Right in the heart of town, really lovely shared space! The rooms were perfect for our family of 6. Padel courts were a hit too!

Honestly it was perfect for our stay. Maybe some general maintenance but the value for money is brilliant, so no complaints at all.

Grundsätzlich macht es einen guten Eindruck und grundsätzlich könnte es gut sein, aber...

Wir hatten wohl richtig Pech gehabt. Das Hotel war zu 90% mit Jugendlichen belegt, die dort wohl von der Schule aus ein Feriencamp hatten. Sorry, aber da steht "Hotel and Resort" und nicht Jugendherberge!!! Die meisten Zimmer haben 4 Betten / Hochbetten und sind wohl auf solche Fahrten eingestellt. Das ging nirgends hervor. Es war unfassbar laut, alle haben sich daneben benommen, ich konnte mit meinen Kindern kaum schlafen. Teilweise hatten sie sogar Angst gehabt, weil die Türen geschmissen wurden und über den Flur gebrüllt wurde. Am nächsten Tag hab ich gesehen, dass ein Fenster kaputt gehauen wurde. Zu meinem Pech ist das Glas auf meinen Mietwagen gefallen. Ich habe am Abend noch nach einem anderen Zimmer gefragt, leider war es aber in allen Fluren gleich schlimm. Am nächsten Tag hab ich die Fotos vom Glas und Mietwagen gezeigt, über die schreckliche Nacht berichtet und wollte wirklich eine Entschädigung dafür. Mich hat der Aufenthalt dennoch 2850 Rand / 140 Euro gekostet. Mir kam man nicht entgegen. Mit gar keinem Angebot! Ich bin absolut sauer und möchte hier jeden warnen, sich vorher entweder ein Bild vor Ort zu machen oder doch lieber auszuweichen.

This is a beautiful hotel surrounded by the lush beauty of the western cape in close walking distance to a choice of wonderful restaurants cafes and facilities. There is a lovely pool and the entrance hall is spectacularly beautiful. This hotel should score 5 and has the potential to be extraordinary. However, despite a decent sized room with lovely views and a terrace, the air con in our room was inadequate, the safe wasn't working, and the room smelled of damp. There were patches all over the walls where it was obvious maintenance had highlighted areas that need repainting, but nothing had been done about it. We also stopped off at the bar after visiting a local restaurant, and the bartender was nothing but curt and rude to us for no reason. Terrible service. Lots of potential with this place but closer attention to detail required by management to elevated experience.

The beds are to short - it is very uncomfortable sleeping with your feet hanging off the bed. We were placed in a room between a group of teenagers on tour - we were not informed. The water was cold the morning when we had to finish to continue our trip. I did report it at reception. Although we booked for 3 people, we only had towels for 2 - thinking if you know we are 3 people in the room, why not have towels for 3 ... We were not impressed with the hotel at all.

Everything. The staff were so helpful. We had to book it very last minute after needing to cancel our booking at a hotel down the road and ANEW were very accommodating on such short notice.

Wilderness war ein Zwischenstop für uns auf der Garden Route. Hübscher und recht touristischer Ort. Das Hotel hat eine schöne Pool- und Gartenanlage.

Das Hotel wirkte sehr kühl und "steif" hier hat das Wohlfühlgefühl gefehlt. Das Personal war auch eher höflich statt freundlich. Das Restaurant war Abends eiskalt und die Rentnergruppe wurde bevorzugt bedient. Und als Highlight hieß es dann, es gibt im Restaurant kein Wasser.

Its situated close to the beach. The rooms are clean and gets cleaned daily. The staff are very pleasant and room service is prompt.

Room was at the back of the hotel and at check-in our car parked at the front. The receptionist told us there was a rear car park & entrance which we used. However there were 2 sets of stairs to navigate carrying several cases. My husband is 75 and I am 72, fortunately a member of staff happened to see us and helped. Someone should have been sent to assist us by the receptionist. The rear car park was conveniently situated near restaurants etc but the actual entrance was a back door. It felt as if we were hotel staff not guests and it could be improved.

The hotel kindly allowed an early check-in, which we really appreciated.

We booked this stay for my parents’ 30th anniversary. Before their arrival, I called to ask if something small could be arranged in the room to acknowledge the occasion — even just a note. The staff member was very friendly, took note of it, and asked whether my parents drink alcohol (they don’t). However, there was no anniversary acknowledgement in the room apart from a small bottle of red wine. It left us wondering why the details were asked if they weren’t taken into account.

Die Lage war gut

Empfangsdame hat das Geld für die Übernachtung im Voraus kassiert. Sonstige Personal vermittelte das Gefühl, dass wir sie stören, als wir was verlangten. Abendessen war trocken und kalt - Buffet. Obwohl das Hotel als renoviert verkauft wurde, war es gar nicht der Fall - das Hotel wurde frisch gestrichen - sonst waren alles verlottert und sehr hellhörig! Für den Preis ist es eine Beleidigung gewesen!!! Ich verstehe nicht wieso Booking.com es erlaubt, dass das Hotel so viel verlangen kann - es ist vier mal das Wert im Vergleich mit andere ähnliche Standards! Ich kann mich an keine gute Erfahrungen erinnern - es ist einfach Schade um die Zeit!

Family friendly, staff are so kind and friendly. The kids club and Aunty Ray is honestly the best my children wanted to be there everyday and I wanted to be with Aunty Ray she truly is one of a kind.

The fact that I had to use my personal cellphone to contact reception because the telephone in the room wasn't working.The restaurant is average however breakfast buffet is really good and the staff working in the morning are very helpful and so sweet.

A buffet style with plenty to select from. The waiters seemed a little too eager to clear our table. There were no egg cups until I asked a senior member . The spa team were wonderful.

A pool table and some form of in house entertainment. Walking is difficult for me and some form of shuttle service would have been a treat.The beach was too far away .
