Good location

Rooms tired furniture outdated. Noisy with extraction just outside. Waited and queued 10 minutes for coffeee at breakfast only 2 machines working TV didn’t work no connection

Good location for sightseeing. Quiet area. Great staff and good food.

Bar closed at 22.30 with limited public seating area to finish drinks. Most areas, apart from the foyer, in need of updating. Toilet in room was faulty on arrival but fixed fairly quickly. Our room, a Superior Double, only had one dining type chair, a huge table and chest of drawers which would benefit from being swapped for a small sofa. The double glazing and the windows are in dire need of cleaning, it spoilt an amazing view. No bottled water but the fridge was a bonus.

I got a complimentary upgrade, so the view was wonderful. Also the size of the room was good, plant of unfussy space.

Nothing in particular. The (empty) fridge buzzed all night and there was no teaspoon. But that’s all.

The hotel is in a good location, which is one of its main advantages. However, unfortunately, our experience with the reception staff was disappointing, particularly regarding their treatment of guests. Our flight was delayed, and when we finally arrived at the hotel, the receptionist initially refused to give us our room, claiming that we had arrived late and that the hotel was busy. After a lengthy discussion and reviewing the booking terms, we eventually managed to get our room. The situation was even more disappointing on the day before our departure. Since our flight was scheduled for late in the evening, we asked for a few extra hours for late check-out. One of the reception staff agreed to this request. However, on the morning of our departure, another receptionist (Mr. Dina) informed us that the extension was not approved and cancelled the previous agreement. Unfortunately, the inconsistent handling of our requests and the way we were treated by some members of the reception staff left us with a very negative impression. While the location is good, the level of customer service and communication at reception needs significant improvement.

Lange ventetider i receptionen. Ankom kl ca 12 og blev orienteret om at værelset kunne være færdigt kl 13.00. Jeg ventede og kl 13 var værelset iorden mod betaling af 30 pund. 2 kaffemaskiner i restauranten til 400-500 personer - meget lange ventetider ligesom der var ventetider på opfyldning af buffet. Ikke en overdådig morgenmad og kun brød hvis du ønsker glutenfri kost.

As 4 star hotel would expect to have tea served in a cup/mug not a takeout cup having been asked if we were drinking in. Also pieces of cake should be on a plate not served in an envelope. In the cafe off the lobby/reception area.

Gem in London it’s pretty average really but it’s cheap, locations is super and breakfast is perfect. For the price it’s super but it’s not luxurious by any means. I love it stay here on my own often. Rooms are clean near. Always comfy and air conditioned and or heated. Staff are patient and organised on the whole.

This was my fourth stay at Copthorne. I keep returning because of its great location for food shopping and many of London's famous attractions, within a short walking distance. Underground is less than five minutes away.

My first stay at the Copthorne was in the 90s. Sadly, there are very few updates to this beautiful Hotel. Changing a picture or a color scheme is not an update. Please update this beautiful hotel; it's showing its age.

The shower produced scalding hot water and the fault was never properly fixed despite calling engineering. They even charge you for storing luggage with the concierge. Save yourself the hassle — there’s a Holiday Inn nearby that’s a far better option. Would not stay here again.

地下鉄の駅が土日全て封鎖されて困っていたら、ポーターさんがバスの乗換を詳しく案内してくれたので助かりました。 冷蔵庫が便利でした。 依頼しておいたツインベッドとバスタブのお部屋を用意して貰えました。

メールでやり取りして、予約確定と荷物預かりのOKを貰っていたので安心していました。1時頃荷物を預けに行くとブッキングコムさんより4泊全てキャンセルされていますと言われました。そんなはずはないと何度も再確認をお願いしたら、ようやくOKしてくれましたが予定が全て狂うので次回から不安です。 ドライヤーとシャンプーがなくて初日は髪を洗えませんでした。

לא לקחתי ארוחת בוקר. מלון יפה ונקי, נראה שהמון אנשים הגיעו. המיקום ממש מעולה מרחק הליכה מהמון חנויות ומסעדות ומהרכבת.

נסעתי לבד לטיול הזה, ולקחתי חדר לבד. מדובר בחדר עם דלת משותפת שמחברת בין שני חדרים שאמורה להיות נעולה. קודם כל לא נאמר לי מראש על כך שאקבל חדר עם דלת, אבל קיבלתי את העניין הזה ולא ציינתי משהו על כך. ישבתי בחדר יום לאחר ההגעה ושמעתי רעשים מהדלת המשותפת, בהתחלה התעלמתי אבל הרעשים התחזקו והדלת זזה והיה נראה שמישהו מהצד השני מנסה לפרוץ לחדר. באותו רגע כבר נבהלתי, בעיקר כי אני לבד, ורציתי לצאת מהחדר, אבל כשהתקרבתי לדלת הכניסה ראיתי שמישהו מסתכל לי לתוך העינית של הדלת ונבהלתי מאוד. מיד התקשרתי לקבלה עם הטלפון הנייח שיש בחדר אבל לא היה מענה. התקשרתי לשלוחה אחרת ושם נאמר לי שאין להם איך לעזור לי ושהגעתי למקום הלא נכון. באותו רגע המשכתי לחייג לקבלה ומהטלפון הנייד שלי התקשרתי למשטרה. בזמן ששוטר תשאל אותי הצלחתי לקבל מענה מהקבלה שמיד שלחו קבוצת אבטחה של 3 גברים שהגיעו מאוד מהר והעבירו אותי באותו רגע לחדר בקומה אחרת לבקשתי. לאחר המקרה שלחתי מייל להנהלת המלון לבקש שיבדקו את המקרה ויעדכנו אותי כי מאוד פחדתי להשאר. קיבלתי מענה מהיר שלאחר בדיקה נרחבת של מצלמות האבטחה מדובר היה במנקה שניקתה את החדר השכן, ושהציצה בעינית של הדלת הראשית שלי לבדוק אם יש מישהו. התשובה שקיבלתי אומנם הייתה מהירה אבל היה נשמע מאוד תמוה עבורי שהמנקה צריכה לבדוק בעינית אם יש מישהו, במיוחד כאשר דאגתי לתלות שלט על הדלת שאין צורך בניקיון ושאני רוצה פרטיות. אומנם הנהלת המלון וצוות האבטחה נתנו מענה מצוין, הנושא מאוד הסעיר אותי וגרם לי לחרדה ולחשש קבוע להמשך כל שאר הטיול. הייתי מצפה שצוות הניקיון יקבלו איזשהי הדרכה ונהלים מסוימים להתנהלות.

The porter at the door was horrible. He let us carry our 4 suitcases while smiling. No help offered. We paid for a superior twin room but it lacked basic amenities. No shower cap, no safe, no water in room, no hand wash etc etc. I felt cheated!

The BREAKFAST !!! The copthorne really needs to improve the eggs .. scrambled eggs are terrible and the fried eggs are only half cooked !! There are No gluten free or dairy free options for coeliac or people with intolerance.. soya milk etc isn’t enough ! When asked if anything was available I was told no ..

Having to give your personal details every time you stay!

Location was just perfect! Close to the trains, buses, restaurants, shopping etc. Breakfast was great and really did set us up for the day. Can not fault the staff at all! Our room attendant to so efficient and just lovely and pleasant. Front line service desk staff were also efficient and very helpful with neighbourhood info to guide us. We believe we picked very well when booking the hotel. We also appreciated being acknowledged by staff whenever we walked through the lobby. Thsnk you!

Nothing major! One morning I did feel I needed to ask for the very loud music to be turned down during breakfast. We couldn't hear when chatting at breakfast. They were happy to lower the volume however probably just need to be mindful that not everyone likes deafening noise. Maybe your hotel is due for a refurbishment/update. Feeling a little tired. Great stay though and would definitely stay again. Prime location spot!

This hotel is very run down and out of date. Normally I wouldn't leave a review at all, because for the price and location, you are getting what you pay for. However the customer service left a very bad taste for me. From checking in, the staff are trying to add on extra sales, asking you to pay to upgrade. Asking you to join their membership program in order to get what I consider basic amenities. I asked to purchase 1 breakfast coupon, for my 3 night stay, at check in I was almost charged for 2 breakfasts. Then the day before leaving, I received an email to do an online checkout, which told me I had a balance owing for 2 more breakfasts. I spoke to reception and management about this, and told it was resolved. At checkout the next morning, I was told I had no outstanding balance, and then my credit card was immediately charged for the 2 breakfasts. So I again had to explain the issue a second time to another receptionist and another manager. My card was eventually refunded, but the whole experience was very disappointing.

We were upgraded to the beautiful Royal Tara suite on our arrival. Absolutely delighted. Reception was efficient and friendly, left luggage was quick and staff were most helpful. We are frequent guests and this hotel is perfect for location and comfort.

Not clean. The rooms are outdated. Although we requested cleaning, sheets weren’t changed until we left a note. There were still trash sometimes, and not properly vacuumed. We stayed for 2 weeks and it was manageable, but cleanliness must be improved. We also experienced rats entering the hotel lobby, which is not acceptable.

The property is very dated and the rooms reflect this. The fridge is annoyingly loud in the room. The shower essentially was hanging off the wall. The wardrobe door was broken. There were two lights not working. Overall very dated and needs a facelift.

La localisation, juste à côté de Hyde park. La chambre très grande en comparaison avec d'autres hôtels de Londres. Les lits bien confortables, et le petit déjeuner bien garni.

Pas moyen de connecter la télé à chrome cast, dommage. Et au petit déjeuner, il n'y avait qu'une seule machine à café qui fonctionnait.

Preis war ok, die U-Bahn um die Ecke, die Klimaanlage hat funktioniert.

Clean and in a good location

Slow check-in. There was what was now an obvious mis-understanding at check-in as I arrived early and because I wished to get to an appointment, asked if I could get in early and was told, I thought, that there would be a £40 upgrade as a result. I agreed but later found I was charged £111 for that privilege on top of that £40 for something I still am now unaware of 🤷‍♂️ To add insult to injury I have been charged 2x£40 to make what was an original £151 booking to £350. As a retiree with limited resources I’m extremely unhappy and would now probably be unlikely to use again after using a few times before without issue!

Al mio arrivo in camera si congelava: ho provato a impostare il termostato a 26º e al massimo della ventilazione ma l’aria che usciva non era calda. L’acqua in bagno spesso diventa ustionante (non per modo di dire, letteralmente) anche se è impostata su acqua fredda. Il giorno in cui non ho chiesto né di pulire né di riordinare, una cleaner è comunque entrata in camera mia senza bussare mentre ero nuda! Il giorno in cui ho chiesto di pulire, hanno solo rifatto il letto: a terra era ancora pieno di briciole del croissant che avevo mangiato il giorno prima; avrebbero almeno dovuto passare l’aspirapolvere. Nel complesso, camera troppo costosa in rapporto al servizio e al comfort.

The 11th floor room was clean and familiar. The furniture was the same when I started using Tara Hotel in the1980s but the furniture is still in good shape.

The air-conditioning system can only operate in the cooling mode while the heating mode is no longer functioning. An electric heater was supplied by the hotel staff during my stay to heat the room as needed.

Stayed 2 nights. Very comfortable spacious rooms. Very welcoming team at Reception. Clean. Tidy comfortable.

Fridge in room broken. 2nd night moved to a Superior Twin as three staying. Was smaller than standard but Reception did respond and provided us with the booked upgrade!

The bed was one of the most uncomfortable I’ve slept in. The room was very cold and took a long time to warm up .

Location is great. TV size appreciated by kids! Very big screen, nice sound and many channels.

Firstly all the staff are a credit to the hotel, they are professional, hardworking , polite , helpful and I appreciated every one of them. I travelled alone as a female, though my friend joined me on final night , I felt safe, secure, the room was cleaned so well by chambermaids, breakfast was lovely, location perfect for nottinghill carnival. I was upgraded to a higher level with a beautiful view from my window. There’s a gym too. Kensington high street station so close 2 mins (don’t do what did and get off at South Kensington , that’s 25 mins walk . Staff honestly make all run so smoothly too even though it was a busy time of year, it did not feel chaotic at all. Would def come back.

My room was an adjoining room. I woke in the morning & thought there was a man in the cupboard lol till I realised it was an adjoining room. You can hear everything, just I’m lucky he was a great neighbour noise wise. But there is little privacy there. In future I def would ask to ensure I’m not in adjoining room but this time was fine. The lady in reception said any problem & she would love me but there was none. So staff were SO helpful. If you politely raise anything with them they do all they can to make it best stay for you :) Could do with a deep clean in room around bath, but honestly the chambermaid and cleaners do amazing day to day.

Toilets didn’t flush properly which is why I gave a lower score. It look as though it was blocked and overflowing after every flush.

The room was classed as a superior room with great views across Kensington which attracted a premium. But to me, it was just an average room that was badly kaid out. All light switches were by the room door, no bedside lights or switches.

This is not the first time I used this hotel. Always meets expectations. The rooms are super clean luxury. Super central location. Staff is friendly. We were able to cheaply book an extra bed for one night for an extra child. Very light rooms. Nice room service from the downstairs restaurant.

I wish the windows would open, otherwise you are left having to breath in the aircon - which does not agree well with me. Although room is above the train line, it's not too noisy as windows are double insulated. I wish the pillows were fuller, though they did give me extra ones as I had requested. Glad to have a room with no floating toilet this time.

Limited menu in the bar. The bar isn’t quite what it should be but that’s just a personal taste. The Bugis Street needs a bit of a rethink as it never seems busy and for vegans like us there’s not much of a choice on the menu.

Le service d’entretien est mal géré, manque de personnel du coup je n’ai pas eu de nettoyage en 3 nuits passées et si vous demandez un passage il peut avoir lieu très tard. Si vous êtes au bout du couloir faut s’attendre à ce qu’on frappe en fin d’après-midi. Le fer à repasser sans vapeur. Pour les chemises faudra mettre au pressing de l’hôtel je suppose. Le jour de mon départ, on a bloqué ma porte avant l’heure prévue, j’ai dû partir en vitesse et j’ai oublié un objet, sans suite de la part de l’hôtel. Si vous commander un Uber, il ne peut pas patienter devant l’hôtel. Pas de menu petit déjeuner sur le menu du self service. Personnel parfois passif.
