Location - close to legoland

We stayed here as was visiting Legoland the next day so the location is perfect.

Other than that it’s noisy, outdated, staff a very slow, you can’t pay cash which isn’t stated beforehand, pay extra for the car park, the breakfast was EXTREMELY BUSY so we had to sit on a sofa and eat our breakfast which wasn’t the best breakfast either. There was no swimming pool due to a refurb which was disappointing.

When I booked it stated breakfast was £9.00pppn. I didn't book breakfast as I thought we would book it at the hotel if it was required. When I checked in I was asked if I wanted breakfast and the cost was £12.50, if I waited until the day it would cost £15.00! I asked why the difference and was told that that was the price. Was also told that the manager would be in later and they would raise the query with him/her and get back to me. I have not heard from them since. The result was that we walked down the road to Three Tuns cafe and paid a fraction of the price and had exactly what we wanted.

Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice overall, well equipped and good size.

On arrival, there was a notice saying that an event was on and due to finish at midnight. It did end as stated, however the music was loud until that time and was disruptive. It would have been sensible to put those not attending the event further away from the venue (I was in 2nd floor) to avoid disruption. Given that I'd booked accommodation due to an early start the following day, this was far from ideal. Additionally there are maintenance requirements in the (somewhat dated) bathrooms - toilet roll holder was loose on the wall.

Great location for Airport, London and Legoland. Restaurant was great, bar prices very reasonable. For about £20 more than Premier inn it was also very good value for money!

An observation not a criticism is that some of the decor was showing signs of age.

Location easily accessible from the M4 motorway. Good for families visiting legoland and Windsor. Easy to get to London centre on Elizabeth line. Air-conditioning a gift during hot weather. Very comfortable beds.

The safety of using room cards to access the lift was great and the staff are all very friendly, room was spacious.

I will list in a few points that just missed the mark for us who don't have high standards but feel this hotel just isn't lfferinv enough for the cost. Pool is under maintenance until end of the year which was something we had looked forward to using. We staying Sunday and no evening restaurant available so we had to order a dominoes and eat it in our bed. The beds weren't that comfy and very hard. And finally if you are staying in a hotel with its own car park I don't feel an extra £10 per night was needed as a cost and if anything a bit greedy as the car park was easy to access (no working barrier) so your car wasn't even secured. As a hotel if you can't provide a restaurant on a Sunday then I feel there should be an alternative option available and parking should be included in the stay. Also the food on breakfast wasn't great but did have a wide selection and staff were very nice.

We’ve just spent two nights at the Copthorne Hotel. I booked it because of its great price and convenient location close to Legoland. I wasn’t expecting much, but I was completely surprised and so pleased that I chose to book here. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and in a great location. The beds were incredibly comfortable—we genuinely had the best night's sleep we've ever had in a hotel. The staff were welcoming throughout our stay, and we ate in the restaurant one evening. The food was excellent value, very tasty, and you could tell it had been freshly cooked. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing that would have made our stay even better would have been if the pool had been open, so we’re looking forward to returning when it reopens.

The room itself was a little worn and could do with new carpets, but it was spotlessly clean, which more than made up for it.

Check-in and checkout were faultless.

We stayed here because we had a party to attend nearby - so it was chosen for ease of travel to Eton. There is a phone it lobby to order taxis, which suited us. There is a car park on site - albeit with a charge.

The rooms were a little tired/dated. We arrived in a heat wave and the air con wasn’t working in our room. They wanted to fix it, but after a shortish discussion they agreed to move us to another (pre-cooled) room.

Where do you start? Second time I've booked it, second time the leisure facilities are closed for renovation at this rate the builder must be making a fortune!!! The room after a "fresh up" had a toe nails on the floor, neither mine or my sons. The staff couldn't give a crap. It's all just about cash and no friendliness towards the customer. The shower facilities in the room are horrendous. If you're trying to get the one ring into Mordor then the water temp is quality. Once you've passed that test and found the switch to change the tap to the shower then be willing to cry when the now freezing water pours down on you whilst you hold the tap so the shower kicks in. For the cost it's pish!!!!

The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. It was clean and looked beautiful. The breakfast was good quality and excellent quality. We were disappointed that the swimming pool was closed for refurbishment.

Great location, 10 mins away from Lego land. Rooms are a good size even though they had 2 double beds. The service at breakfast was awesome, I think the gentleman’s name was Joy, with a black suite, he was fantastic and made every effort to ensure me and my family were seated promptly with a first class service.

Only thing I can say that needs to improve is the shower. It was very difficult to control the water temperature, and the water is very very hot if you don’t get it right.

Good Parking Facilities and pleasant atmosphere. Bed room was comfortable and clean with pleasant views. The breakfast was good value for money and tasty. Good quite location off the main road.

Breakfast was a lovely buffet with plenty of options available. The staff at breakfast went above and beyond to make us feel looked after. Car parking was under the hotel which was good.

We stayed during the hot period of weather, the rooms were very warm and not air conditioned. To say it was a family room, two double beds were ok, it would have been nice to have a more modern TV staying as a family. It was based on a busy roundabout so couldn't really walk anywhere, something to keep in mind for a family. We had to pay additional fees for the car park- it would have been nice to have this included in the price.

Location was handy.

Myself and my wife and our friends would like to thank Mr Zaffer on the main reception for welcoming us to the hotel again and sorting out the rooms and keys etc. The hotel is kept very clean and the staff are very helpful, special thank you to Mr Joy who was really pleasant and nice to us in the breakfast area. The breakfast is very good and hot, the Bar area was full and busy on Saturday night, this maybe due to the England game. The 4 of us will be returning on the 7 August for another couple of nights for Ascot races. Thank you Mr & Mrs Landra and Mr & Mrs Knight

We really loved our 3 night stay here. Every member of staff we encountered was so welcoming and friendly and we felt very at home. Our room was quiet, comfortable and very clean, and had enough space for us and our child. We appreciated the air-con! The bar had a lovely atmosphere and the breakfast was good. We visited Legoland and also had a day out in London, and the hotel was very conveniently located for both. We’d happily stay again.

The location was good. The staff were friendly.

The hotel is in need of some major tlc. Carpets are filthy, walls are dirty and scuffed. Our room was very dirty, there was holes in the curtains. Punic hairs in the bath and on the towels, the carpet was dirty and had lots of stains on it and the bedding on one of our beds had stains on it.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this has genuinely been one of the most frustrating and disappointing customer service experiences I have ever encountered. My family and I booked this hotel specifically because it advertised a swimming pool and sauna. These facilities were a major factor in our decision to book. After paying in full and receiving confirmation of our reservation, we were informed that both the swimming pool and sauna would be unavailable during our stay. This was extremely disappointing, but despite feeling misled, we decided to proceed with the booking. Shortly afterwards, our eight-year-old son suffered a serious accident and broke his arm in two places. Following medical advice, we were informed that he would be unable to travel for several months. As soon as we knew this, we requested what I believed was a very reasonable solution: simply moving our booking to a later date. What followed was days of being passed from one department to another with nobody taking responsibility. Hotels.com told me to contact the hotel. The hotel told me to contact Hotels.com. Hotels.com emailed the hotel manager multiple times and received no response. Hotels.com then attempted to call the hotel directly and reportedly received no answer. I contacted the front desk repeatedly and was told the manager would deal with it, yet nothing happened. I even requested to speak directly with the manager but was never given that opportunity. Throughout this entire process, nobody appeared willing to take ownership of the situation or provide any meaningful assistance. What makes this even worse is the complete lack of empathy shown towards our circumstances. We explained that our son had suffered a serious injury and offered to provide hospital documentation and X-rays as evidence. None of this seemed to matter. What should have been a simple booking amendment has instead become an exhausting battle that has caused unnecessary stress during an already difficult time for our family. Even now, after numerous phone calls, emails, promises of responses, and repeated attempts by both ourselves and Hotels.com to resolve the issue, we still have not been able to move our booking.

Jay at the retrouve for the breakfast service gave excellent 5 star service . The food was great and nothing was to much of an ask. Jay went above and beyond and one of the reasons to why I would come and visit this hotel again. We went for drinks at the bar also last night and had some cocktails . I must say that the cocktails were made and could drink one after the other . They are dangerously good and although I didn't get the names of who was working the bar last night they still gave really top quality service. Friendly staff at reception that always says morning or afternoon when you walk past. The rooms are amazing . Cannot fault the rooms at all . Great wifi , decent TV . Comfy beds , good night sleep . Blackout curtains . A reading light near the bed which is a great added extra . Fresh towels everyday . Only stayed here for 2 nights but when I come back to this area this is the hotel I will be sure booking a stay at again. Iron in the room if needed to .

The hotel appears to be a little 'tired' but that should not disguise the fact that you are so well looked after. The staff, I must mention Joy, Ahmed and Stephen were excellent and could not do enough for us. The room was clean and more than adequate. The breakfast was first class and the Indian restaurant provided excellent food and was very good value.

The hotel looks tired, it needs a spruce up to become excellent value.
