We stayed in the Lion and Wolf rooms, which are two bedrooms joined by a shared bathroom. Both rooms were a really good size and had their own desk, chair, built-in wardrobe and extra pillows, quilts and blankets. They also both had a TV with Netflix ready to use, which was definitely appreciated! It was a brilliant setup for us and felt very family-friendly. The shared kitchen was huge and had everything we needed, including plenty of cutlery, kitchenware and cookware. There was a large fridge and freezer, so we had loads of space to store our food and drinks. They also provided breakfast bits such as bread, cereal, tea and coffee, which was a really nice touch. There were plenty of tables and chairs too, so we could sit and eat comfortably in there. The whole place was unbelievably quiet. There were other guests staying, but most of the time I completely forgot anyone else was there! The pool, sauna and hot tub were absolutely fantastic and probably one of our favourite parts of the stay. They were an even bigger bonus when the rain decided to make an appearance. Everything was spotlessly clean and well looked after, and I honestly couldn’t fault any of the facilities. The location was great as well. Asda and a few other shops were only around a five-minute drive away, although you could easily walk there. The property is right on the seafront, so the beach was literally a stone’s throw away. The owners were so friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. My daughter had such a lovely time that she was already asking when we could come back! We had a genuinely lovely stay and will definitely be returning soon. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere peaceful, clean and family-friendly, with brilliant facilities and the beach right on the doorstep.

The only tiny suggestion I could possibly make would be a simple sign that could be turned to show when the pool was in use, purely to save guests from walking through to check—but this is certainly not a negative and didn’t take anything away from our stay.

Perfect position. Spotlessly clean and a beautiful comfortable bed. They even had a hairdryer with diffuser! Perfect for a curly haired girl 😀 would highly recommend. Host was lovely nothing too much trouble.

Some of the other guests washed up, but left their pots on the drainer. No room on the drainer for anyone else to put their washing up to drain. They were still there when they had gone, not the owners fault, just general courtesy to leave things as you found them.

Super comfortable rooms, guest kitchen, and a lovely swimming pool, sauna and hot tub. We had a wonderful time as a family and the location is great, right in front of the sea.

Perfectly situated for coastal views, walks along the promenade, and within a short distance to Berwick town centre. Eastwatch is a gem of a place, is very comfortable with great facilities. Paul was very welcoming and showed us around. It was great to have a shared kitchen where you could prepare meals etc. Fresh bread, milk and eggs available everyday, together with a choice of cereals. Highly recommend Eastwatch for a comfortable stay.

It's just a lovely place to stay. The rooms are spacious and well-decorated. We love the fact that the guest kitchen is stocked with lots of staples - milk, coffee, tea, eggs, bread, lots of cereals - so you can make your own breakfast. The location is great, too. Very near Spittal beach. We walked into the centre of Berwick - it's a good walk but definitely doable. We've stayed here three times and are planning our fourth visit. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location easily accessible by public transport (we used train and buses) but also a fairly easy and predominantly flat to walk in and out of town Welcoming, helpful and accommodating host. Felt pleasingly private despite there being several different occupants there at the same time. Good size rooms and excellent facilities. Breakfast items available in shared kitchen were a nice touch and very convenient as was the provision of robes and pool and beach towels. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Hard to find anything to fault. Lived up to and surpassed expectations. The only thing that could have improved my stay would have been for the single bed mattresses to have been slightly firmer but this is a very minor point

Lovely little place, right next to the beach...we see dolphins from our bed...which was super comfy!! Free parking just outside. Lovely shared kitchen with basics to make a coffee and breakfast. Fabulous hosts. Just a short drive from Holy island and Bamburgh Castle. Highly recommend 👌

We had the only room without an ensuite...which was only a small inconvenience...the shower/toilet was dead opposite our room...and was lovely and immaculate!

Always love staying here. Lovely rooms. Made use of the pool and hot tub this time too which were lovely. Everything is clan and immaculate and a perfect location.

The pool, sauna and hot tub! It was also a stone throw from the beach. The guest kitchen was also amazing it meant we could cook our own food and totally relax which was the purpose of our trip.

The hot tub could have done with a clean and we couldn’t close the bathroom door on the en-suite. These are minor things in an amazing stay!

Checkin was straight froward and welcoming. The shared kitchen was well-equiped and no-one stole my milk!

The private shower across from our room as we were not en suite However we knew this at the time of booking and the shower room etc was spot on.

Location, easy to park and good size room.

Bathroom door handle dropped and was sticking on the floor. The bathroom heated towel rail was rusty and let the room down.

My teenage children enjoyed having their own adjoining room but still being able to get into our room through the jack and Jill bathroom. We all enjoyed using the pool which also had a shower and changing room. There is a hot tub and sauna too. Having use of the shared kitchen was excellent. It meant we could cook dinner after a busy day and then walk along the promenade. We didn't find anywhere close by to go out for dinner so this was really handy. We also enjoyed being able to get our own breakfast when we wanted it. Paul was welcoming and friendly but left us to our own devices so we had privacy.

We were a little unsure about the parking situation as parking at the property was limited but Paul quickly reassured us and we were able to park on the road near to the property for our whole stay.

The location is fantastic. Direct views onto the beach. You get any time use of the pool and hot tub which was really great for us and we never had to share them. They were empty every time we wanted to use them. The hosts are lovely and gave us everything we needed in a quick introduction and then gave us our privacy. Although there were other guests in the other rooms it felt more like a private space as we never heard any significant noise from others. Parking is nice and easy nearby.

I am sensitive to light so I would recommend taking an eye mask as the blinds in the rooms don't keep out the daylight during the summer which means you might have disturbed sleep if light wakes you up.

Facilities were very good. Host very good and accommodating. Shared kitchen areas very well appointed but some guest hogged the area.

Excellent place to stay in a perfect location by the sea front. Friendly welcoming host, with a communal kitchen supplied with breakfast essential. There was also a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna which was an unexpected bonus.

It would have been nice to have a restaurant or two within close walking distance, but that is just being picky…

Its situation, parking,our room was spacious with a great shower. We liked the self catering system with a guest kitchen supplying breakfast items and giving the option to bring your own. The owner was very accommodating we would definitely stay here again

Everything was really relaxed. The kitchen was fully kitted out for any food preparation with a great view. The swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi an added bonus. Much better than I ever expected

De plek is geweldig. We hebben bijna iedere dag gezwommen, gewandeld, gefietst, gekookt en vooral genoten. Paul is een fantastische host. Onzichtbaar wanneer je hem niet nodig heb en zeer alert en behulpzaam wanneer je hem wel even nodig had. Aan sauna en bubbelbad zijn we niet toegekomen maar alles zag er goed uit.

I found the bed a little too soft but I am used to an orthopaedic mattress. Room was well presented with attention to detail. Lovely view and parking nearby. Paul was a great host and met us on arrival.

This is the second time we have stayed at Eastwatch Guesthouse and like last year we were delighted. Paul is very friendly and extremely helpful. His communication is first rate. Our room was very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was immaculate. The shared kitchen was great. It was fitted out with everything possible and was comfortable, providing amenities for all guests, a stunning view of the coast and a continental type breakfast was included. The location was perfect. Parking was provided; the guesthouse was right on the beach; a five minute drive into Berwick and a local bus a few minutes walk up the street. We cannot speak highly enough of Paul and highly recommend Eastwatch guesthouse.

Bed and pillows very comfortable. Loved the weight of the duver. Very well set up and supplied. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

This is a great concept, self-catering but with breakfast ingredients like coffee, tea, cereals, eggs, bread and milk provided. There is a fully stocked kitchen where you can cook with great views over the sea. The property is seconds from the beach where you can go for great walks. There is a sauna which is great and a swimming pool and hot tub.

The Host is so lovely he is always able to be contacted. The view from the property is amazing. It is so peaceful and relaxing.

There are no negatives about the property it is just amazing.

Host very approachable and helpful…(allowed us to dry soaking shoes and jackets in laundry room ) though no breakfast they kindly had basics free for you to use in community kitchen which was just like home …used sauna and hot tub which was a treat after long touring day ( pool bit chilly 🥶🤣) thoroughly enjoyed stay there .parking permit too ….bus stop nearby …used car to visit all the castles nearby

Pool a bit colder than we are used to, but nice to have the option and the kids still enjoyed it. Carpet has probably seen better days, guessing it's had a lot of traffic and not easy to maintain with the property being by the beach.

We had booked the whole place for the family (Kids and grand kids). Great pool, sauna and hot tub. Ideal room configuration for our family needs. Great location - literally on the promenade with steps to beach. Walked to Berwick with grand kids on scooters which took half an hour. Hosts showed us around then let us get on with our weekend but always a phone call away if we needed anything. Nice big kitchen to accommodate our family.

No lounge BUT understandable as it’s a guest house and we had booked it for 10 of us not a couple. Only niggle was we used the pool a lot but found it difficult to dry our swimwear before the next use. We used clothes horses but heating only came on a certain times so often still damp. Grand kids did find pool cold but that’s kids.

This is a fabulous place. The facilities including pool and sauna were exceptional. Our room had wonderful views. Our hosts were welcoming and provided all we needed for a great stay

Perfect location, 1 minute walk to the beach. The host was very helpful and welcoming, the room was big and the bed comfortable. Plenty of options on the TV, the best part about the stay was the pool and sauna. Also tea coffee, cereal toast and eggs are all available at no extra cost!

The location was perfect and facilities were excellent. It was peaceful and quite in the evenings leading to a great sleep. Room and en suite was spacious and spotless . We were in the dragon room which was decorated in the theme. Paul , the owner was most helpful and showed us round everything when we arrived. We used all the facilities whilst there. The shared kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed for a good breakfast. We would definitely return and probably stay longer.

The front garden could possibly do with a makeover so you could sit out in the summer evenings. I do appreciate that the owner does all the chores so it might be difficult to find the time.

The self catering kitchen was very well kitted out with everything you would need. Bread and essentials were supplied everyday, so you could make your own breakfast. You were allowed access to the kitchen at all times. Plenty of extra throws and duvets in the room. An added bonus was the lovely jacuzzi, pool and sauna. Much appreciated after a day out travelling around. Host did not interfere at all. Very useful having the parking permit upon arrival. Would say, "book today"

There’s nothing we didn’t like.

Room décor/theme is fun and property is lovely. The hosts put out eggs, bread, milk etc which was such a nice touch, bins were cleaned regularly in the communal room. Wifi is super fast throughout. The pool, sauna, changing rooms (yes it has changing rooms at the pool) and Jacqui were all epic. When we stayed, there were others on shorter stays whom we met in the kitchen but never saw using the pool etc. Parking is street with a badger (visitor one) and super easy, nice turning bit at the end near the sea.

The facilities were amazing, host was very nice, great value for money and really good location. Could see the beach from our window. Provided with local food, taxis and bus information for us as we didn’t have a car.

I liked how they provided very relaxing atmosphere, clean tidy and modern, facilities were very good and location right on the beach front is fantastic. Berwick centre is a short walk or cheap bus ride away.

No issues, bit as it is a shared kitchen maybe just label a few cupboards with room names, so othrr knows whose food is whose. This was just a comment from the other guests not in our party. (Only feedback) No issue to us.
