Breakfast was fantastic and our room was clean and a great size
Nothing
Great staff. Location was amazing for what we wanted.
Restaurant food a bit uninspired. Two out of three lifts not working so huge wait times. Atrium means any “event” sound come right to your bedroom door.
Very central and lovely castle views

Lift not working no signs for stairs only fire exit
Great location, perfectly clean (spotless), amazing touches like real coffee and a cafetiere not just instant, comfortable bed. Really really quality place and great value.
Nothing - it was spot on.
De ligging is perfect. Dicht bij alles. Mooie junior suite.
Achteraf geld afgeschreven van creditcard. Dat was vooraf al de reden dat ik me creditcard niet wou geven. Maar ik hoefde me geen zorgen te maken. 80€.
The lift broke with just me in it between the 1st and ground floor. This caused a mild panic attack after a minute or so. It then shot up to 7th before coming back down to 1. I got out. There was no signage for any stairs whatsoever but eventually found the fire escape. This, however, took me out onto the main street. Staff then proceeded to immediately "tell me off" rather than ask/listen/emphasise with the ordeal I had just been through. The lift was then at least closed, which meant long waits/been crammed into the other one.
The over powering smell of sewage coming out of the bathroom did complain but it still smelt
Lage , Frühstück
Durch die frühe Abreise bekamen wir kein Frühstück trotz Bezahlung und wurde auch nicht retourniert , finde ich als Frechheit bei so einem namhaften Hotel
Staff and location are excellent
Only one working lift
Another amazing stay
Nothing never have to ask for anything
Very clean and comfortable
It was not made clear that parking was paid for in multi story car park a walk away. Also I think £24 per person for breakfast was a bit steep!!
Central location - close to everything!

When arriving at the hilton the staff was very welcoming and helpful as always. We won't stay anywhere else while in Cardiff. Always go above and beyond to help in anyway. The rooms are absolutely amazing. Beds styles are very very nice. Bathrooms are beautiful also. Everything about the hilton is positive. My daughter had her 15th birthday and when i told the staff and paid a very small amount and i thought it would be a basic banner which is what i purchased online. On arriving the hotel had done way more than i expected. Not just a banner. A beautiful balloon and more. Beautiful
Love everything. Nothing negative
Location
2 out of 3 lifts were not working in the 2 nights of our stay. No extra staff or assistance to manage bags etc upstairs. We were in the 7th top floor. Only lift usually had a long queue. Carryîg bags and walking up and down is not much fun
Very friendly staff Great breakfast
N/a
Everyone was friendly and helpful, staff went above and beyond to accommodate our special needs. Security were friendly and helpful. Nice rooms, exactly what you'd expect really.
Can't think of anything really.
-The breakfast is good and had good vegan options (vegan sausages on request, vegan pastries, soya yoghurt etc) - Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly those working on the breakfast service and room service
To be honest, there were a few issues that unfortunately mean we wouldn’t choose to stay here again. - overall the hotel is quite dated throughout, which is a shame. - we got an upgrade to a “castle view” room but it’s honestly not fair for them to charge extra for this, you can’t see the castle really from where the hotel is and instead mainly get a view of the dual carriageway in front of it. - room facilities weren’t great - we weren’t left any water in the room, and the only tea in the room was lemongrass and ginger or English breakfast. The TV wasn’t set up properly as a smart TV, and channels were limited to Freeview channels. - dogs are allowed, but they charge an additional £35 dog fee on top of your room charge - you don’t get anything for that (meaning small basics, eg a water bowl in the room) - the lifts weren’t working - I’m about six months pregnant and walking up stairs to the third floor isn’t easy. - on the same subject, the bannisters on the stairs was sticky and covered in grime that came off on my hands as I was walking up/down. - a staff member locked my husband in the gym changing room one evening and left - he had to text me, and when I called reception to ask for someone to let him out the person I spoke to tried to claim it was his fault because the gym apparently closed at 8pm. I told them we had been told the gym was 24-hours and they said we’d been informed wrong. I double checked on the room guide, saw I was right after all, and told her it said the gym is meant to be 24-hours - then she claimed she’d actually been talking about the pool. I get mistakes happen, but if you get something wrong just admit it and apologise rather than trying to argue and gaslight the other person to cover your own back, making everything a lot more frustrating. - the hotel advertised a pool, sauna etc but that’s for an additional charge as well - this is something I’d expect to be included in the room charge.
Central location. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing
We had a lovely two-night stay at the Hilton Hotel Cardiff. The room was clean, spacious and well designed, with a very comfortable bed and pillows. I was particularly impressed by the view of Cardiff Castle and how well soundproofed the windows were despite being in the city centre, we weren’t disturbed by outside noise or noise from other guests. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, with a special mention of Asmita on reception, who made us feel particularly welcome. The leisure facilities were another highlight. The swimming pool was beautifully heated, and the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were an absolute treat and made the stay feel even more relaxing. We would happily stay again!
The only downside was that just one lift was working during our stay, which sometimes meant a longer wait, particularly at busier times.
Great location. Comfortable room with a view of the castle. We would recommend
Rozmiar pokoju, duża łazienka, siłownia
Brak parkingu
Good location, nice rooms.
Drink prices in the bar, very expensive
Clean, friendly staff, good location
Excellent location
Only 1 out of 3 lifts working
I found it very rude that staying in the Hotel i had to pay extra to use the pool facilities.
Staff friendly and hotel spotless and room
Nothing
In all honesty everything
The location was perfect, the facilities were great - we loved the lounge included in our room and the pool was great! It was clean, comfy and everything looked lovely. We also got a free drink and bar nibbles so we really appreciated that!
It was quite expensive (over £300) for one night but it was great and on a busy night so the local events possibly added to this. Most of the staff were pleasant but one was a little rude to us.
Nice size room, good bed, it was clean but table between beds was dusty
no parking and no advice where to park, pool wasn’t available when we had chosen the hotel especially for the pool, VERY noisy event until late with no discussion or warning about it at all.
Room was clean and good temperature.
There was no plug near a mirror for blow drying or straightening hair. Personal preference but found the pillows uncomfortable.
Central location. Clean comfortable room. Staff did everything to make our stay perfect. It was a special occasion and they went out of their way to provide some treats and make it special.
There was really nothing not to like.
Location and room size
Brilliant location - perfect for the city centre, rugby and castle
Nothing
Lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very clean and well presented.
Pool was freezing!
The pool and rooms
Nothing really it was all lovely
Room breakfast, pool and gym

Lovely staff, very clean and spacious, comfortable room. Great breakfast
Pool was a bit tired and freezing
Staff were great, room very comfortable and clean, good location, we had dinner at the Hilton and it was fabulous, the pool area was a bit small and cold otherwise everything was great. I paid for the romance package and it was a great treat for my wife's birthday it was great, ceri who is the guest relation contact was fantastic.
Pool a bit small and water was cold.
It was our first time there as we really enjoyed it lovely staff and lovely quests
Nothing we loved it
We’re what to expect from the Hilton quality services and everything is smooth and perfect as always. Room clean, comfortable and staff is really grateful. We did check in at the hotel reception by Ed, he’s lovely and gave us all information about the hotel and everything around the city. Very helpful for us as it’s our first time in Cardiff.
It was clean and comfortable they also left a little cake and card for my birthday, we also had a complimentary welcome drink
The rooms felt a little run down, the Hilton has always been looked at as a high end hotel chain however the rooms felt dated
The staff was kind and the food was really nice.
I booked this hotel expecting high quality for the name its got and for the price I paid. I was very unhappy with the condition of the room. The ac wasn't working properly that included the one in the toilet as well. This made it difficult to be able to have clean air in the room. In addition we were unable to open the windows to be able to get fresh air from outside instead, however they seemed to be broken and we couldn't open the windows either. This caused me and my family to have terrible headaches causing us to feel lightheaded from the heavy unfiltered air. In addition, when I inspected the air vents they seemed very dusty from the inside showing poor hygiene. I inspected the bedframe of the room and some other surfaces and they were very dusty. This room was not properly maintained and it makes me very upset that I had to pay such a price for a terrible room. We had spoken with the manager and they said they couldn't do anything and the only solution was to contact booking.com and compensate 25% for the issues they caused. The rooms there were very cramped and the beds were very uncomfortable to sleep in. Furthermore we could see around the window that the wallpaper was coming apart and ripped. Where is the rooms inspector to check these things? Why is there a neglect in hygiene? In so many years of visiting hotels this is the first hotel that I have seen in such terrible condition for this ridiculous price. We wanted to relax and have a good time however it seemed to be otherwise and I'm glad I didn't book anymore days with this hotel. I will not be visiting again as this stay was stressful and uncomfortable unlike other hotels that I have visited.
Very helpful staff Excellent hotel services
We enjoyed our stay comfy bed & lovely staff.
Is not specified when booking about free breakfast for kids that is only for 12 years old and below.
The receptionist was so lovely and welcoming also the receptionist at the pool was lovely both made us feel welcome. The room was lovely also the balck out curtains were excellent and bed was extra comfortable
Wasnt the best of breakfasts but the breakfast staff were lovely
The staff member that booked us in was absolutely lovely. (Guy with blonde hair)
Very clean, gym is brilliant
Lifts was abit slow
Excellent property in a great location. Staff are fantastic
The staff were very welcoming from first entry and throughout the entire stay and even guest relations had left a card and cupcakes for our anniversary which was very much appreciated and very thoughtful
Nil
The staff were very polite pleasant and helpful at all time during our stay . Breakfast was excellent you catered for everyone
Nothing
Good location. Very clean. Close to all amenities.
Staff don’t listen to what you say, being called Mr and having to correct them more than once in same conversation. Only two toilets in public places, one being a disabled one. Charge put on room for dry cleaning which wasn’t ours. Left something behind, rang them and told not there. Went back to be told same . Asked to see room with manager and there it was. Apparently another miscommunication!
Great location, really friendly staff. Very good breakfast.
Very uncomfortable beds. No dressing gowns in room. No glasses in bathroom. Very limited restaurant menu.
The location was excellent. Rooms very clean and comfy. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Having stayed at the property before I found it disappointing that you now have to pay £5 per person to use the pool. It was free to use previously. I would expect facilities like a pool to be free to use. The drinks in the bar were also very expensive.
Location
Air con dripping on you in the bar Ice buckets catching water coming in from the roof
Bed settee in our room broke But everything else good
Maybe bit safer perimeter round children’s area. And new Lego or stickle bricks
Room was clean
Lifts are slow and a bit disfunctional - need updating, check in was laborious
Staff were friendly and informative. Room was spacious and clean. Hotel facilities were good and it was in a great location.
Could have been some three pin plug sockets near the main mirror in the bedroom. Aside from that no major issues.
Great hotel with great views lovely spot
Clean tidy relaxing
The breakfast was lovely plenty of choices
Nothing
I loved the property and the room itself. Service was good. Staff were polite and welcoming. Looked after our bags until we were ready to catch our train. Breakfast was lovely. Variety of coffee/pods & bags was a lovely idea in the rooms. Massage facility
Some areas could do with looking at around cleanliness such as around the pool. Communication around check out was messy, I called reception after texting and was told I could not check out at 2, latest would be 1pm. Then I received a text to say 2pm so was confused which I could do meaning we checked out an hour earlier than would have liked to. Disagreements between bar staff over pricing in front of us at the bar- not very professional. Room was not hoovered and crumbs on the floor, considering it being room 605 and the amount paid. Air con wasn’t the best and seemed to go off in the night meaning room got warmer so unable to sleep properly. Executive lounge felt a little pointless, yes you could get a free coffee & a little nibble but could have just had a “free drinks” pass.
No parking facilites and seem to get a fine evety time we have stayef
The hotel is situated within a close walking distance to the Champs-Élysées and local parks. The French style decor in the room is exquisite. I appreciated the service at check-in, the room service and the daily Nespresso pods and tea available in the room every day.
Professional and friendly staff. Lovely breakfast, sparkly clean room.
NPC parking is the nearest and it is terrible to use, machine is working, have to download app which is so inconvenient with all those details required. Also the swimming pool is rather small and out dated
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstück sehr gut.
Das Parken ist teuer. Das Hotel selbst hat keine Plätze.
Excellent facilities and breakfast. Bar tender needs more experience. A lot of druggies on the streets around the area.
Cheaper drinks, less druggies.
Hotel and staff lovely, could not be more accommodating and the room was lovely and to expectation!
The spa facilities were abysmal and I had to pay an additional £5 to use it. I felt like I was in a leisure centre, the decor must not have been updated since the place was built! The changing rooms were awful - I was surprised to see flooring that I have in work (I am a medical professional) and the tiles were grimy both in the changing room and in the spa itself. A member of the public actually started cleaning the sauna floor while I was there!
Everything went well. I stayed there before, nine years ago. I would recommend your hotel to anyone that is staying in Cardiff. The first time that I stayed in Cardiff was 40 years ago and your hotel didn't exist back then The ground was nothing but an open area. Once your hotel was built, it became a fine asset to the City of Cardiff.
Try to keep the trash cleaned up on the outside of the building a little better. People who are not staying there, have very little consideration for your property. Trash has been thrown along the sides of the building.
L’emplacement, l’hotel, le personnel
La piscine payante…. Pas génial pour un hilton.
The Central location in Cardiff worked really well, and the spacious and comfortable room was exceptional 👌
staff were great room ok we were only there one night but enjoyed it
couldn't get any food at 10.30
Arrival greeting
Food and drink prices too high The rooms could be a little cleaner especially touch points like door handles light switches door wipe down a lot of finger marks
Deliscious excelkent customer servuce
Nothing
We diddnt include breakfast this time as we were out a lot
That you had to pay £5 extra to use the pool. This was never in the past. The pool area needs updating its looking a bit grubby now
Location
The staff were lovely, the hotel is beautiful and the location was great thank you
Nichts
Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen, muffige Zimmer, schlecht möbliert.
In general it was very nice. The only issue I encountered was that the toilet kept splashing water out of it which was annoying. And the prices for room service or any service in general was insane.
See previous comments.

Room was lovely.
No vegan breakfast
It is right across from the castle. Walking around the area was safe. Near the the train station. It was our first time in Wales and we really had a great time.
It was very HOT while we were there. The AC was working over time
Great rooms - nice view of the castle from one of them. Lovely staff who were proactive and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and had a good choice!
Very friendly trainee assistant manager on the desk
The staff were brilliant
The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. The bedroom was roomy&comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a excellent selection, lots of food to choose from&very fresh. Location of the hotel was excellent.
We had a funny gurgling noise in our room, sounded like a pipe. I wasn't sure if it was the air conditioning sp I turned it off, but it did go off again in the night which woke me. Also the pool changing rooms weren't the cleanest&I felt a bit dated and tired. Also they weren't the cleanest even though it was late in the day, I felt it wasn't a nice place to get changed changed. Also a couple of changing rooms would be nice. We didn't have to pay the charge for the pool as it was so late in the day, buy I wouldn't have been happy as it was quite small&there was a lot of young children. We wouldn't have wanted to stay more than half an hour.
The staff were always very friendly and helpful.
When I wished to pay cash at the lounge bar it would have been very helpful if they had cash so that they would be able to give you change it you were entitled to some. I was given complimentary vouchers on arrival which was very kind but unfortunately the various drinks allowed with the vouchers was extremely limited.
Near to the venue we were going to
The room was very tired and smelly like old cigarettes Not impressed
It is always well maintained and the staff are incredibly friendly and will do anything for you!
N/A
The bed was ok
The room was terribly laid out . The TV was at right angles to the bed with no place to sit and watch it. The bathroom was awful with lots of weird angles. The toile was stuck in the corner with a wall in front of it meaning you couldn't sit on the toilet properly. It felt like it was a fail. The ac was super loud all night and then stopped working in the morning so the room became unbearable. It cost over 440euro for the room - room only which was a total rip off. When we tried to ring for help with the ac the reception phone rang out unanswered on 2 occasions and when we complained at check out they said they would try fix it for the next person. Awful place - would not return or recommend
Great hotel, great team
Nothing. This hotel is excellent
The bed was very comfortable
Clean and spacious. Staff were very helpful
Great location and nice enough but there are Better Hotels in the Hilton Group so probably due an Upgrade
Lifts were very slow stopping on every floor
Near the shopping centre
The staff was not very friendly, they charged us extra money just because the check out time was exceeded.
In the town centre
New charge - £5 per person per usage of the pool New charge of £15 per day for the internet
Great location for the concert at Cardiff Castle. Comfortable room, great breakfast and friendly staff. 10% off parking nearby aswell.
