The bedroom was quite dark and looked right out onto tables in the beer garden. This made privacy difficult during the recent hot weather. We were quite disappointed by the room bearing in mind the cost to stay.

I didn’t like that you had to put a sign on the door if you wanted your room cleaned. I assumed it was the other way round (maybe I should have checked) as I would have liked fresh towels and I had to ask for more coffee.

Reserved parking space for guests. There was a fun day going on when we arrived. So parking tricky. Sunday however was no problem.

The room was a great size and we particularly enjoyed the wonderful view from our window. It was great to have a fridge in the room. A good size bathroom and shower cubicle. Very nice staff, all were exceptionally friendly and helpful...thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

The shower went hot and cold whilst using it and the cubicle is in need of some attention as is the toilet seat. The fridge is quite noisy when running especially when trying to sleep (possibly because it is in the wardrobe)

Noise from kitchen but this was fine as it stopped once kitchen closed. Other noise throughout the night possibly the boiler used ear plugs but sleep was still disturbed. Wouldn't really return because of this but I am very susceptible to noise.

Country charm, excellent food, liked the decor of the bedroom, view from the bar/restaurant was fantastic, food and drinks were superb.

Access to the bedroom (down a narrow steep stair case) wasn’t ideal. Decor, despite being nice, was a little tired and in need of some TLC.

My room was extremely clean, tidy and well stocked (safe, ironing board, hangars all available) Internet speed was spot on! Very comfy bed. The restaurant/bar area has superb views over Wiltshire, with their beer garden being particularly nice!

We stayed at the Quarrymans Arms Hotel and were allocated the "Spring" room. After driving all day, we checked in at around 5:00 pm, had dinner and a drink in the pub, then went for a short walk before heading back to our room for the evening. Unfortunately, the accommodation side of our stay was very disappointing. The first issue was the noise. When we returned to our room, the occupants next door had their TV turned up quite loudly. As it was still relatively early in the evening, we didn't think too much of it. However, the TV remained on until around midnight, making it difficult to relax and get to sleep. At approximately 6:45 am, the TV was on again, and we could clearly hear conversations from the room next door. We assumed the occupants may have been elderly or hard of hearing, but regardless, the sound insulation between rooms was clearly inadequate. To make matters worse, at around 7:30 am, whoever was staying below us appeared to be moving furniture around, creating even more noise. Under normal circumstances, the early morning activity probably wouldn't have bothered us too much, but after a poor night's sleep it simply added to the frustration. We could also hear people using the toilet either in the room behind us or downstairs throughout the night and into the morning. To add to this, the gentleman in the room next door was intermittently coughing up phlegm, which was clearly audible through the walls. All of this further highlighted the lack of soundproofing. The room itself was clean and tidy, albeit a little dated, so there were no complaints regarding cleanliness. The shower was another issue. The water temperature was extremely temperamental. One minute it would be at a comfortable temperature, then without warning it would swing to either freezing cold or scalding hot. To be fair, the room rate is comparatively cheap, and in many ways the accommodation reflects that.

An amazing view across a Costswold valley. Attentive and friendly staff who were happy to chat and make us feel at home. Not a glitzy destination but a lovely place for a meal and break.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. "Jasmine", in particular, was an incredibly kind and helpful lady who made my stay even more enjoyable. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable bedding and all the essential amenities. I especially appreciated the attention to detail, from the fresh linens to the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The hotel’s location was also a big plus—conveniently situated near key attractions and transport links, making it easy to get around. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a good variety of options to suit different tastes Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again.

Sound insulation between the pub and rooms was great. We could not hear any noise from the pub when we were in the room. Sound insulation between rooms was not as good. We could hear people watching TV in neighbouring rooms.

The view was excellent. It had en excellent English breakfast, well cooked and presented.

The check-in was in a pub, which for me was a bit daunting because I am not a pub person, but it was lovely in the morning because it was nice and quiet.

Fabulous old style pub with restaurant and rooms. Staff were great, friendly, informative and never too busy to ignore any request. Food was good quality pub grub with upmarket vibe and good sized portions. Breakfast choice was great. This is clearly a well supported local venue and the regular clientele was very welcoming and always up for a bit of the craic.

Step up into the shower was a trifle steep for those stricken in years. A well placed handle (or two) would have helped.

The view from the pub was really lovely, the rooms were modern but cosy and had character. The bed was very comfy. Everywhere was very clean and the complimentary small bottle of milk in the fridge was a lovely and rare addition! Breakfast was excellent and great value when included with the room, breakfast staff were also lovely and very helpful, nice to have good options other than a full english. Would really recommended for a short stay.

TV couldn’t access the channels but not the end of the world, nice touch having a radio though!

I was cosy and homely.

There was a lot of noise from the restaurant upstairs. However it closed early so didn't impact us too much. The beds weren't the most comfortable, especially the sofa bed in the family room.

A beautifully comfortable room with everything needed. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had our assistance dog with us who had her comfort fully catered for and was welcomed. The views were amazing, would love to do all four seasons here. There were lots of nice walks, the bird song was beautiful and it is a nice drive into Bath with lots of lovely places to visit en route. Breakfasts were excellent, we had vegetarian which was divine, I don't normally enjoy veggie sausages but their Simplicity sausages were lovely, they were even kind enough to tell me where I could buy them. An added bonus was the amazing views whilst eating breakfast and the birds visiting the bushes right next to the window. The staff went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Always welcoming and friendly The Quarrymans Arms is an absolute Gem. We will certainly be back

Very busy and popular pub set on hillside with fantastic views. Just a few bed and breakfast rooms. Nicely decorated. Comfortable. Lovely breakfast.

Parking was difficult in early evening. Roads narrow and steep.

Sound proofing wasn’t great so could hear other rooms quite clearly and window looked out into the car park.

The Staff were amazing, polite, helpful, nothing was to much trouble. The food was excellent from breakfast to evening meal the quality was brilliant.

Great view , good breakfast, friendly staff , massive comfortable bed , good sized room , middle of nowhere but less than 10 minutes from a town. The window opened and you controlled the radiator heat output. 👍 Parking was easy and adjacent.

The shower in my room was very sad . The cubicle was double sized and could have made all the difference but the water pressure was deplorable and you didn’t want to use it ☹️

Being an old building, it’s quite noisy, we could hear the people in the room above us throughout. This can’t be helped but just something we were aware of!

Lovely little pub close to where I needed to be for work. The room was really quaint and cozy. Loved the decor. The bed was very comfy and facilities good with water and tea and coffee.

Bedroom was a bit dark, so hard to do makeup. It was a little noisy until late (11:30pm) albeit hard to know if that was someone staying in another room or something else.

It’s a country pub which is a little tired inside but has friendly chatty staff who are very helpful. The breakfast included is very good. Overall good value if you like a little rustic surrounding but the vie from the main bar over the Box Valley is fabulous.
