The room was very comfortable and exactly as described, and the included breakfast had great choices, very delicious, which we ate on their terrace along the riverfront.

Ideally situated, room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast was excellent. Cafe staff were very friendly.

We visited the RIVERBANC during a trip to Llangollen, where we met up with some family who were on a canal boat. The location was absolutely brilliant, right by the river, and we couldn’t have asked for a better setting. We also brought my family along for lunch, and we all had a lovely meal. The breakfast, which was included with our stay, was also excellent. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to try any of the water sports activities on offer, but we’d definitely love to give them a go next time! We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend the RIVERBANC. We’ll definitely be back!

Large clean double room in the centre of Llangollen. Staff friendly and the breakfast options were varied and delicious. Added bonus if you fancied doing water activities were offered a discount if you were staying at Riverbanc which we took advantage of!

Convenient location right in the middle of town yet quiet . First class breakfast and friendly service with wonderful views on the riverside terrace. Instructions for the entry codes sent to us well it advance and worked perfectly- no keys to lose. Good sized room , in top condition.

It’s very conveniently located, meaning it is smack dab in the middle of the tourist fray. But very tranquil inside the property itself.

Too high tech on the door entry system. Not sure it’s that effective either. You could re-enter within a minute of door shutting. I felt i had to wait until it decided to lock before I could leave my landing?!? Outdoors appearance filled me with dread as I arrived. Getting in was a little fiddly

Breakfast seemed limited ie most places you can have cereal and a cooked breakfast. But on reflection it was sufficient. Staff were most friendly and helpful. Food in cafe was delicious. Fans in room were fantastic.

Booking through booking.com was poor for us. I would book direct next time as we need a river view (cooler during heat wave) and first floor.

Hmmm...hard to say since we really did not like this so-called hotel at all! I would compare it more to a hostel. We did know there would not be any staff as we arrived after 4 pm and followed the directions sent to us and we were able to enter first a gate and then a second door (near the garbage cans) with steep stairs to the second floor. Our room was at the top of the stairs to the left on a narrow small landing which was precarious to say the least carrying luggage to it. The room was much smaller than expected & not at all like the picture I was sent by Booking.com which showed a much larger room. I called this to attention to management in the morning (since there was no one there overnight as this "hostel" is over a coffee shop that closes at 4 pm but they assured us this was the room we booked. (I even showed them the Booking.com picture & they said they would speak with them) There was no a/c & the room was unbearably hot. Pulling shades, opening windows & using the provided fan helped but now we had to listen to raucous conversations and bad language from people partying nearby and in the street outside our windows. We were sorry we booked this property and in fact, are very surprised it gets such high ratings unless it is from all the young people who come here for adventures like running the river (which are also sold by the same people who run this "hostel.") We could hear people in other rooms talking late into the night. Breakfast was surprisingly good & the cappucino was excellent. After all it really is a coffee shop.

We did not like anything about our stay here and wished we had booked elsewhere. In fact, I am surprised Booking.com carries this property on their website. I expect more from their listings & will be decidedly more careful in the future.

Kept awake until 1am in the morning by loud music being played next door by what looked like a group of young Middle Eastern men playing their music whilst drinking on their balcony with total disregard for neighbours and your brochure states that between 11pm -7am it is rightly so the Quiet time 😡

Floor boards very squeaky. Shower tiny. We had room on street which was VERY noisy. No the best nights sleep ever and felt we needed to be super quiet as you could hear everything between rooms.

Riverbank was in a wonderful position we had a room, at the back, overlooking the River Dee. Breakfast on the terrace was a bonus in May as was the quality of the bacon and sausage. A very interesting range of breakfast, both traditional and modern.

The absence of staff. It was self- checkin, meaning nobody to greet you. It was self checkout too, so same thing. The breakfast was nice, but ALL vegan apart from the Welsh breakfast. It was served in the attached cafe, though. This meant that most fellow diners were walking in off the street, and this included quite a lot of loud raucus wild water canoe staff. It felt more like a friends reunion, and we were the interlopers. Serving breakfast til 10am, while making the checkout time also 10am, is pathetic and unpractical. I happened to be looking at the time when there was a knock on the room door. It was 10am TO THE SECOND, and we were reminded that it was checkout time. As checking time is 3pm, is there any need to have 5 hours to clean a couple of rooms? ...ridiculous!

Large room which was nicely decorated. Hot shower. It was great having a key pad to access the room rather than having to carry a (card) key. Breakfast in the café was excellent but would have liked the option for both fruit, yoghurt and granola as well as a cooked breakfast rather than either or. At breakfast, there was a lovely buzz in the café. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Centrally located for easy access to places for dinner. 24 hour parking in the East car park was close and reasonably priced.

The shower was small and there was nowhere to put the soap dish.

I've never written a bad review before, but there were quite a few issues. The biggest issue was that they were giving my son something that contained egg despite me saying he had an egg allergy. Even though the girl serving us was convincing us, it had no egg. I wasn't convinced and asked to look at the package, and it did contain egg. The shower didn't work at all. It's just a pretty awful experience The only good thing was that the view was amazing They had promised to get back to us about our issues but never did

Excellent central location in Llangollen with a good sized room overlooking the river. We really enjoyed the breakfast, both the vegetarian and the meat based version.

While access was relatively simple and we did encounter (by chance) some staff, it would have been nice to meet someone on Reception.

Brilliant location with a really modern checkin process of sending you PIN codes for outside gate and your room before arrival. Room was really spacious, clean and bathroom was spot on. Breakfast in the morning was in the coffee shop on ground floor, they reserve seats for you so no worries about that, I had the mexican scambled egss and was delicious. Location is perfect spot and is plenty of really nice places to eat and drink within yards of hotel. Would defo stay again if in the area.

Only slight criticism both my wife and I had was that the pillows were not very comfortable, I know that is very much a persoanl preference thing, but is the only minor thing we both found.

Breakfast was lovely out on the decking over the river. Good choice of food off the menu served to the table. Interesting access system.. very secure using codes to access all doors.

A bit restrictive in the ensuite of top floor room, but we were ready for that from the photo's shown, so not a problem really.

The bed was a little hard for us but that's just a personal preference.. It was very windy while we were there and the windows rattled alot but we solved this by packing them. A mirror over the dressing table would have been nice. These were just minor problems and didn't stop us having a lovely time

I liked the check in process of it all being a keyless process to come and go as you please. No hassle at all with all of your codes required for access emailed to you. Great communication from the hotel when booked. Lovely hotel, clean and in a great location. River view room was beautiful.

Other people staying in the hotel up early being slightly noisy, but nothing that can be done about that really.

Little can say I didn’t like- even though the hotel has no parking I was able to drop bags in the 1hr stay outside and then move car to a reasonably priced car park just the other side of river. If I was to complain it would only be that we didn’t stay long enough, we only had one night (due to our available time) and I now I really want to go back!

It was spotless, the breakfast was outstanding (try the cheese waffles!), the staff were very nice, the bed was super comfortable and they provided ground coffee and a cafetiere. Nice touch. It's very central to town and provides a nice discount for last minute activities at the outdoor center.

It's beyond their control, the noise from the next pub along is absolutely unreal, the bed was vibrating it was that loud! It did however, adhere to a strict 11pm curfew, so if you are out for the night anyway you won't notice. You can hear a lot of street noise, it wouldn't put me off but I'd probably request a room at the back! I'd suggest to management to install them extra double glazed windows that some places have.

Riverbanc was exactly as we expected. It is a very clean, well furnished and modern property that met our needs perfectly. The hotel sits at the centre of the town and backs directly onto the river. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. Riverbanc certainly added to our enjoyment of our one night stopover in Llangollen.

Parking is an easy 2 minute walk away from the hotel, but free on street parking outside is possible after 1700hrs and before 0900hrs.

Breakfast was excellent in their cafe downstairs. Rooms are great and staff very friendly. We always stay here if we can when we are in the area.
