**Wonderful stay!** We really enjoyed our stay at The Village Resort. The room was **very clean, spacious and comfortable**, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is excellent, close to the lake and within easy walking distance of town. The **staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful**, which made us feel right at home. The facilities were great, especially the pool and spa, and the accommodation was perfect for our family. We had a lovely time and would **definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends!** ❤️

Room was lovely and spacious. The shower was amazing. Everything was spotlessly clean. It was great having a heated pool and a tennis court. Also the fact the room had a washing machine and dryer.

Clean tidy and quiet

The unit was super roomy, quiet, extremely well equipped, immaculate and very comfortable. Because this used to be a timeshare, it's basically a small apartment. Very very nice.

The apartment is so well equipped we could start the day with having breakfast in.

We find Village Resort one of the best and immaculate places to stay in Taupo. There was nothing we did not like.

Spa, heated pool, and other ammedities.

The apartment is spacious, clean and tidy. And We love the 3 toilets and the washing & drying machines! The staff is extremely helpful, providing me with activities nearby. I love the lake view (though a little blocked by the spa hub) from the balcony. The kitchen is well equipped with capsule coffee machine. The location is very good! Right next to the lake and just a couple of minute walk to Lake Taupo Hole-in-One!! A bunch of facilities provided (though I didn't have time to enjoy them)

The BBQ facility is bit too old. The facility couldn't be used after 8 (a bit too early).

It had washing machine and dryer, my partner loved the pool, best place we have stayed so far in taupo.

Weren't able to vape on the balcony. Had to wait till we left the property. But rules are rules🤷

The location was very handy and was beautiful at it was across the lake. The room was equipped, warm, and tidy and met my expectations. Kaisha has been very friendly. The amenities are so good as well.

Lovely lady at front desk although not often there. Our TV was not a smart tv unfortunately but she did offer us a firestick to use which worked well. We left this in the room although we were meant to take this back the office it wasn’t open at 9. Unfortunately we didn’t realise when we booked for two adults, a teen and a child that we would only have a small double bed, and a fairly small Murphy bed. We ended up having to pop a child in with us as it really wasn’t suitable meaning an uncomfortable night with no sleep for anyone. Clean and tidy enough, lots of space and everything you need including a washer and dryer. Parking was so SO tight and with a big Ute like we had, nearly impossible meaning we didn’t really want to drive anywhere and return to park again. Great spa with a beautiful view that you book for hour slotsand a lovely looking pool but was always full of people so we didn’t get to use that. My son was excited to play pool with me but when we saw the table it has a sign saying strictly over 13 years old. Very grateful our booking was able to be changed when we were unable to make our first booking due to road closure however we were apparently put in a room that was not yet updated and for the price you pay you would expect king beds, a comfortable couch and a smart tv. It’s a fantastic location close to the water and next to the markets but I would request an updated room if you stay here. Super lovely new owners and I’m sure if you stay in one of the newer front rooms you will have a fantastic stay.

Pretty clean space with good facilities like spa, tennis court, bicycle, etc. The staff is friendly and give us much information. Close to lake.

The staff are very kind and accommodating. The place is very clean and we liked the rooms’s style and design.

Loacation was good and not far from town to walk and a minutes walk to the lake. Having a full kitchen was a bonus and the unit was spacious. A good sized 500ml milk supplied in a bottle.

No light in the fridge. Poor lighting in the bathroom and separate toilet. Shower not closed off, so water went half way around that area on the floor near the basin. The shower wall had spots of mildew. Hairdryer was attached to the wall and cord was tied up with plastic grips and coil not long enough on hair dryer to reach right over to your head. The two seater couch had broken springs on one side so couldn't be used. Unit 15 on ground floor with no view what-so-ever, only a fence. Photo booking showed a balcony view. No smart TV to do streaming.

We had a wonderful one night stay at The Village Resort in Taupō for my birthday, and it exceeded our expectations. The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Everything listed in the room description was available, including a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, oven, refrigerator, stovetop, toaster, kettle, washing machine, and tumble dryer, which made our stay very convenient. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and the apartment had good heating and air conditioning, making it comfortable throughout our stay. the seating and dining areas made the apartment feel like a home away from home. The free toiletries, towels, TV, and tea/coffee facilities were all provided as promised. The resort was quiet, well-maintained, and in a great location, making it easy to explore Taupō. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable birthday trip. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend The Village Resort to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Taupō.

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed our lively conversations about Vietnam and my love for New Zealand. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located right across from the lake, making the whole experience feel truly relaxing and picturesque. We would definitely love to come back again!

Easy access to house and car park. 3 toilets bonus when traveling with a bug family. Washing machine and dryer another bonus. Bathrooms supplied bodywash, shampoo and conditioner that was so good. Nice big size family room, my baby enjoyed his tummy time. The spa was so nice too. The staff members were so good to us we definitely will be back in future, and definitely recommend A++++

That we had to leave

Liked almost everything: the big room, the facilities, the location (really handy to town and the lake), the heated swimming pool (our 3-year-old loves it), the spa pool, the little playground, and of course the friendly staff! As a family, we will definitely choose it again next time in Taupo.

Maybe the driveway through to the car park is a bit too narrow, a little bit challenging for a big car. Also, having signs for entry and exit will be useful for the guests.

Tēnā Tātou, the minute I arrived with my whānau what caught my eye was the lemon tree & I think I saw a mandarin tree as well.Check in & communication were welcoming. From allocation of keys to finer details of spa bookings, bbq use etc. We entered our weekend whare and heaters were on making it toasty and warm. I loved the location, great for early morning walks along Taupo nui a tia into town where everything was accessible. Having a washer & dryer at my finger tips was the best, I came with no washing & left the same way. If you really want a couple of days away to rest this is definitely the place to stay, you have a dishwasher so zero time wasting, able to cook as well as eat out. Also did so much in 2 days it was nice to come back and relax. Heated pool & spa also. Ngā mihi (thank you) for the manaakitanga you have shown my whānau & I at your beautiful accomadation. Like I said we will definitely be back again. Mauri ora🌿.

Just a friendly suggestion, maybe a cap on spa bookings and time allocations of half an hour to 1 hour, per room so that everyone has access & it is safe? Thank you again.

Clean and the view outside was stunning and very relaxing. I like the layout of the room very modern and comfy. I highly recommend this accomodation to my friends.

Polish lady at reception was so friendly and kind. The spa was booked so when someone canceled she found us so we could use the spa. The kind of staff who makes you come back. The room was so clean I couldn't find any dirt. Or dust. The guy doing managing or something was super friendly and nice.

Lol when showers were used upstairs sounded like the water was running in your room.

It was just what we needed for a short stay. My children loved the place. Clean, comfortable and with complete amenities.

If the bath floor is damp, it can be really slippery.
