Very handy to town, right by the lake front. And very close to the marathon start line.

Room was clean and comfortable. Shower pressure fabulous. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Very cozy compact unit for our overnight stay. Heat pump in the bedroom worked well. Very comfortable bed. Our unit had a refurbished bathroom. Speedy WIFI. Friendly reception staff. Excellent value for price paid.

Needs a separate heating unit in the sitting area. Very narrow access to car area parking at the back up a side ramp. Couch was well worn and probably needs to be replaced soon.

To be honest - we really didn't like anything at all. Cheaply furnished, minimum of everything. Bed was uncomfortable, sofa falling to pieces, lack of storage.... List goes on. And when it says coffee maker it means a coffee plunger not a capsule machine as the pictures indicate. Will not be back.

Reception hours ridiculously pointless.. Housekeeping became a 'rhetorical question'. Others have said friendly hosts - I suspect there has been a change of ownership.... Notices all over the place in the room instructing guests about just about everything!! No window latches making the rooms airless...

Great communication got notification about room and security pin for door before we arrived. Everything went smoothly; had everything we needed to stay.

Shower-no hot water for ages and then when we did get hot going, lasted for about 10 seconds! Was very frustrating to say the least 😟

Clean the ceiling fan in bathroom! Why is there. I heater to warm the lounge area? A heat pump in bedroom doesn’t heat the living area. It was very cold. Please put a soap dish out where do you put the soap by basin?

Walkable to town centre. The hosts got in touch before to check when we’re checking in and sent us in advance after-hours check in information, which went smoothly. They also put the heater on for us which was much appreciated! Easy to get a park. The bathroom was lovely! Would stay again!

We stayed at the Baycourt for a weekend. The location is great, right across from the lake. While you do not have windows looking out over the lake, you get a nice sideways view from the living room as well as from the balcony outside which is equipped with tables and chairs. We had two suites. Each had a living room and a bedroom. Both had spa baths. The rooms are well-heated (it was quite cold). They are cleaned everyday. There is ample parking. The town centre is a very short drive with lots of eating options. We had a little problem with the TV not working in our living room. I texted David/Shelley and Shelley came over within a few minutes. (Just had to reset a tripped fuse.) All in all it was very good value for money. I will consider staying here again when we go back to Taupo.

Very clean and warm. Small kitchen, but had everything expected. Beds very comfortable and underfloor heating in the bathroom was nice.

The headpump was in the bedroom so lounge was cold if the door was shut. The rooms are in a row so people did walk past to their rooms.

Fabulous big family room! The full kitchen was such a bonus and unexpected. Loved the spa and the great location. Opposite the lake, so on a nice clear day, the view would be amazing!

No tv in main room. Personally need tv to go to sleep. So had to sleep in single in lounge. Then couldn't see tv as below bed height. Plus no heating in lounge.

It wasn’t what we expected given 8.4 rating. Couch was not clean, it was more outdated that expected, the bed for the third person was in the lounge as a pop up bed, heating was only in the bathroom and bedroom so when we were in the lounge it was cold. We were on the ground floor behind reception so it was cold and dark. We arrived earlier than expected due to cancelled skydive at 3,30pm. The manager wasn’t there but told us how to get in after a bit of a moan that we were earlier than we said we would be. We didn’t meet anyone the entire stay - check-in or check-out.

The room was comfortable for the night we stayed the bathroom has heated floor cute. parking was good There's a bar next door for food but a walk into town is a good 20 min and Huka Falls a short drive. The breeze from the lake was a bit chilly but your on a lake.😃

We turned up and no reception open then on 2nd night they charged more than the first night when advertised rate on sign was less and upon leaving a glass broke while washing it and they billed my credit card $15 for a $1 warehouse glass and said we stole a teaspoon.I told them about glass and they billed anyway.Very disappointing.Would not recommend to stay here.

I would stay again but only if I had a downstairs room and a single shower. I'm older and getting over the high sides of the spa bath was tricky and possibly dangerous plus I had to lug my bag up the stairs. Also a bit further from town than I thought it would be. Heat pump in bedroom didn't spread the head to the lounge.
