Great location
Bed not comfortable
breakfast and dinner was good. staff were friendly and the rooms were well kept.
The washroom in one of the rooms had a bit of leak in the toilet.
Really clean. Modern. Friendly staff. Easy to find. Ample parking.
Room was hot, no air conditioning.
Good location. Staff polite.
I was initially given a check in time that was extended to 3:00pm and I was finally able to occupy my room at 3:30pm. I was offered a free drink at the bar which was some consolation. However, the room was incredibly warm and stuffy with no ventilation as the windows didn't open. I had to get up twice in the night to open the door and let air into the room. I normally wouldn't comment on such things, but the price I paid was quite a lot of money. A bit disappointing.
Great location and a lovely rustic feel. Food was very nice.
The bedroom was very hot due to the hot water pipes running under floor.
Everything from the comfy bed to the excellent food, The best location, right in the middle of the town Wonderful facilities, including its own coffee bar. The food is exceptional, and caters for food allergies. The staff are friendly and attentive. What more could you want. It's our second stay this year, we are in the process of booking our next. You will not be disappointed ❤️
Location of hotel. Location and quality of room (28). Parking. Nice breakfast..
Room (28) needed an air-con unit as there was only one small opening window, although two fans were supplied.
A real genuine stay in an old hotel. Staff nice and friendly. Beds comfortable.
No fridge in the room even a small one would have been handy for those that a travelling although they where kind enough to allow us to place small items into a kitchen fridge.
Fab location and great staff.
I know it’s an old property so although the floorboards creaked a lot, it was a constantly dripping tap which was a tad annoying but nevertheless the hotel is great.
Beautiful heritage building with character retained, warm welcome, excellent staff, very comfortable bed. Excellent location. Great outdoor area/ beer garden.
Room was very warm more so than other areas in the hotel.
Very expensive for room and requested twin beds but got a double bed with separate linen
Beautiful historic property. Comfortable and well furnished.
Or son and daughters room was very hot even with windows open and fans on. Ours was fine.
Excellent breakfast in every way all the stuff is nice and fresh highly recommend
My wife wasn’t overly impressed with the evening menus the hotel had an Indian head chef so lots of the meals were Asian cuisine but was absolutely fine for me.
Dinner and breakfast good. Nice decor in public rooms improved since our last visit 4 years ago
Bed was very uncomfortable, room was hot so had fan on all night. Outside noise from nearby properties at 11pm but nit fault of hotel.
Super raccomandato.
Well located in the middle if Campden with parking
The room we had could do with a refersh. Great bed, very big & comfy. The curtains s needed sorting out and we couldn’t open the windows. Looked a bit tired. The shower worked but not very well.
Wonderful building in the heart of the village
Not a lot of character in the bed rooms
The hotel is in a great location, right across from the historic market hall and start of the Cotswolds way. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the restaurant was very good. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
We stayed during a particularly warm bit of weather, and the lack of air conditioning made the room too hot to be comfortable. The provided fan helped.
Posizione, pub, cucina e colazione
Quaint with character Buffet breakfast and wait staff Walking distance to the start of the Cleveland Way Central location in town Lovely staff On-site free parking
No fridge
Comfortable bed Good breakfast Good location
The wait for staff to arrive in reception Moldy bath panel in bathroom Difficulty in turning off the shower and sink taps.
Great location in the center of town provides easy access to all of the town proper as well as many hiking trails in the surrounding countryside. Also very close to other towns. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Dinner was also excellent and reasonably priced
Central.
The plumbing in the Bathroom was a bit ancient and not the best. No Air conditioning however fan in the room was quite effective.
Location to event
The furniture didn’t feel safe
Liked breakfast and range of choices
Externally a bit scruffy. Aware painting is due. Rather a lot of cars in close proximity.
Setting was lovely. Particularly liked the outside space. Room was comfortable very clean.
Nothing all good
Lovely location great staff
Breakfast a bit basic
The location very good ,car park very good ,room a bit dated and authentic sloping floors as it is a very old and creaky ,evening meal was very nice staff friendly
Dated bathroom and and decor
Everything, lovely setting, super staff, excellent room.
Nothing
Out standing services.
Waiting for a pre ordered breakfast.
Beautiful village location, historic building.
Our deluxe double room was definitely not deluxe, and was expensive. Had no shower and looked a bit shabby and not very well maintained. However the staff were faultless and moved us to a cheaper room, which amazingly was so much better than the original room!
One of the best b& b and Evening meal hotels we have stayed in Loved the traditional feel of an English pub married to excellent modern very comftable accomodation and Dining.Service at both breakfast and dinner excellent.Special thanks to Anthony manager and Isla in dining room....and the two real ales Hook Norton and Cotswold Gold were both excellent too!!
Only booking one night.Should have booked two!
Good location, full of character, nice small spaces. Excellent breakfast.
Limited evening menu. No aircon!!
Helpful staff and a great location.
The room was good sized and well furnished. Pub/restaurant just across the way so there was outdoor seating nearby. The staff was helpful and friendly. Centrally located
The rooms on the west side of the courtyard received the brunt of the sun. So the room was very hot and stuffy with little to no ventilation. Even when it was cooler outside. They tried by giving us industrial level fans but the were really only elective with door open
The food in the restaurant was excellent.
The bedrtoom was noisy from road noise and very hot. The bathroom was poor. No separate walk in shower.
Centrally located, with free parking. Lovely characterful hotel with superb food, and friendly hosts. Clean comfy rooms.
The pillows were like sandbags! Some nice fluffy pillows would have made it perfect.
Noisy as our room faced the street
Amazing breakfast and a quiet comfortable room. Parking by the entrance to our room was really handy too.
I thought the drinks were a tad expensive. £18 for a glass of wine and a pint of beer. Feels like London prices?
Poor
A smile from the staff
Excellent breakfast served by helpful staff. Bath and shower - great for tired walkers. Right in the centre of town.
Bathroom taps very stiff and sprayed everywhere. Dinner menu limited.
Location and there was parking
Everything
Nothing
Lovely hotel in a traditional building. Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. Good storage space for clothes and toiletries.
The room doors fall shut very loudly, you hear it throughout the building from the other rooms.
This is a lovely hotel in the middle of Chipping Campden. There is a bar area, a coffee shop and lounge plus a large dining area with tables inside, in a conservatory and outside. The room was a good size and very clean.
The bed was a little small - standard double, whereas there was enough room for a Queen or 2 singles pushed together. Not a major problem, but in the middle of an unusual British heatwave it was a little uncomfortable. The hotel restaurant was a little disappointing. The food was Ok, but not exceptional - half-decent pub quality rather than restaurant - also boasts of award winning curry, but the one we had was very poor with over-cooked chicken. Breakfast was very disappointing - quality not bad, quantity leaving a lot to be desired. The staff in the coffee shop (in particular the Barista from South Africa) were very good, attentive and friendly as were the younger staff in the restaurant. However, we felt that the older female staff in the restaurant were at times bordering on rude - and there was definitely an "atmosphere" within the dining room staff.

Room was stunning with a huge bed! Really quiet even though in the annexe in the car park. Fan in room. Breakfast was absolutely lovely and the location was spot in. Definately stay again
We loved it!
beautiful location in the heart of Chipping Camden
It was in the middle of a heat wave and the room was warm overnight - but that is to be expected!
Central and had on site parking.
Couldn’t do an early check in before 1.00
Lovely little hotel in the centre of Chipping Campden. We stayed at Easter and decided to come back for our anniversary. Parking included which is a must. Room no 7 again was nice, enough space and dog friendly. They gifted us a glass of bubbles for our anniversary which was lovely. Very good if bringing a four legged friend with a little gift bag and bed for ours (though his stay costs £20 which is a little steep I feel) Breakfast is to order and buffet items too. We love the village its not as touristy as some of the other Cotswolds areas which we like. Favourite pub is Eight Bells. Friendly staff and lots of inside or outside places to sit. Definitely be back to the Noel Arms at some point.
Room was a little warm but to be expected with the uk summer heatwave and an old building. Wouldn't stop us staying again in future.
Very elegant and comfortable. Staff were very professional, polite and knowledgeable about the area.
Geweldig typisch Engels hotel.
Niets
Although we had booked a table for dinner for 8.30 pm In the restaurant (online & in advance ) the staff seemed perplexed by the situation on arrival - we were rushed into ordering & decided to eat in the bar as we felt discouraged to take up the table in the restaurant . The restaurant & bar seemed to be closing down from 8.45 . We had to order coffee before our meal so had water, beverage & coffee all before the meal came . The whole checking in & meal did make us lol - it could be very frustrating for others . The food was excellent . The breakfast choice very good
Breakfast was very tasty and was a quickly delivered
A beautiful hotel situated right on the High Street of this enchanting Cotswold town. The location is absolutely perfect for a stay in Chipping Campden. The rooms were actually more like cottages - very nice, and although the room was extremely hot, the staff provided three fans for our comfort (no A/C - nor should there be in a building of this age/profile). The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable and the hotel was quiet, so a good night's sleep ensued... On-site parking was very welcome!
My wife missed a full length mirror (apparently important for the fairer sex) and also 'quality' toiletries - she said that what was provided, wasn't great - and there were no toiletries at hand if taking a bath (they were by the main sink, wall mounted, some distance away). The room had a 'quality' feel about it, nice furniture and fittings - but a tacky plastic toilet seat! Reception wasn't manned when we got there - nor was it when we left - nor in between, when we had a queiry... we had to go looking for someone to help us (that said, the staff were superb, just not enough of them in our opinion). Breakfast wasn't great - certainly not for a hotel charging as much as the Noel Arms was - we also had to wait nigh-on an hour for it to be served. A pricey night's stay but comfortable enough.... We would most certainly go back...
Breakfast was great, friendly and efficient service. Room very clean and tidy, good size and comfy bed. Used the spa for 2 hours at sister hotel for just 10£pp and it was fantastic! Location is perfect in the heart of chipping Camden.
Door to bathroom didn’t close. Little dated in areas.
Ambiance et décoration
Chambre peu adaptée au climat estival chaud donc Chambre surchauffée + douche peu pratique + ouverture fenêtre minimale
Sehr charmante und liebevolle Ausstattung. Lage direkt gegenüber des Starts des Cotswolds Ways.
Szépen berendezett, szinte a történelembe csöppentünk.
Excellent restaurant and equally good cooked to order breakfast
From the time we arrived in the afternoon until 10.00 pm we could hear music from the beer garden in our room.
Lokatie uitstraling gezellig keuken
We had lunch here today. It was very busy as were the staff. We ordered a couple of ciabattas which were very tasty. The whole place was rushed with people running around everywhere but lunch was lovely. The loos are probably the smallest loos I have ever been in!
The staff were fantastic! There was a team of of very hard working, efficient, enthusiastic and relatively young staff. Nothing was any trouble and their outstanding professional certainly enhanced the quality of our stay. Very historical hotel in a superbly picturesque village in a beautiful area. Situated in the village centre with a good car park. The food was excellent, a variety of choice and of good quality. Breakfast could not be faulted.
The room was pretty hot in the heatwave but it is an old building. Fans were provided but ... just too hot!!
Good location, excellent food.
It was in need of re fresh.
Beautiful old country pub with fantastic food
Staff arguing and bickering amongst themselves
The location is perfect for accessing the Cotswolds The hotel was lovely and clean Breakfast was good The room was a lovely size with quirky floors at a variety of angles
The electric charging was over the road at the sister hotel ( not a problem but not at the hotel)
Beautiful little hotel. The pictures really don’t do it justice, the communal areas (restaurant, terrace, bar, coffee shop etc) Room was compact but had what we needed.
Our bathroom could do with a little bit of an update. Everything worked and was fit for purpose but was a little worn around the edges and just a little refresh could go a long way. There was no bathroom fan, so steam from showers has no where to escape to.
Lovely location, nice breakfast.
It’s the hottest day of the year, and the rooms are hotter indoors than outside. Quite clearly a malfunction with the heating under the floorboards, verging on unbearable. Genuinely would’ve been better outside. There was a silly form system for breakfast, which made things awkward and were called out for not doing it despite paying for it anyway? The cherry on the cake was £15.30 for 3 pints of coke… what is that about?
Lovely hotel, comfortable room. Fantastic breakfast and evening meal. Fabulous decor and would definitely recommend. Fantastic location in gorgeous Chipping Campden.
Nothing.
Great location, friendly obliging staff serving our party of 13.
Could be more proactive with tea/coffee at breakfast perhaps.
Quaint, clean and spacious accommodation
We stayed during a heatwave and with no air conditioning it was very hot, but I don’t expect period accommodation to have AC fitted
Very charming. Great staff
Nothing
In centre of town. Lots to see and do. Restaurant and bar were great
Our room was the closest to the main road and got a lot of road noise
Very nice location in one of the most iconic Cotswolds town
Very noisy until late at night from the people drinking in the area outside the bar which was right below my room
Convenience to the town and event close by which we were attending.
Way overpriced. The hotel is old but needs refurbishing. We had a huge very noisy air conditioning unit in the bedroom with a pipe hanging out of the window. We were also opposite the beer garden which was also noisy. Breakfast average. Would not be writing this if we had not paid so much.
It was a pleasure to stay, nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
In my error I should have said I struggle to walk up stairs, I am sure if I would have said something they would have resolved my problem.
Breakfast was excellent. A special mention to the chef and waitress who served us early as we had a flight to catch (Sunday 5 July) A decent sized room and comfortable bed.
The shower had minimal temperature control and was difficult to turn off resulting in a constant drip. The room was too hot. A fan was supplied but it was too noisy to sleep with it on.
The bedroom, dining room and bar were all great, + bonus of coffee and cake area. Lovely shaded seating in the courtyard which was great as it was a warm few days. Waiting staff all lovely too!
Air con in the rooms would have been useful as the fan provided didn t cool the room, but we did not spend much time in our room and fortunately it was cooler in the evening, so on this occasion wasn't a problem for us.
Friendly, professional staff. Great location. Excellent food.
It had a nice welcoming atmosphere
Staff very helpful
Would have preferred a walk in shower
Beautiful property, in a fantastic location. Large, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, great food - very good value for money when you have stay for bed, breakfast and get discount on evening meal.
Staff very welcoming and very helpful
I think for the money we pais it was very good value. the staff were all friendly and. professional
there was not anything
Impressive historic hotel in picturesque Chipping Campden. It was the perfect home-base for our 5-night stay in the Cotswolds. Professional and friendly staff, outstanding customer service, our room/housekeeping impeccable, two thumbs up for The Dover Bar, and excellent food/menus at every meal. GM Anthony and his well-trained international team were a pure delight! Highest of recommendations.
It was very much value for money Our room was fantastic, clean-and roomy. Pre booked breakfast was really very good. Excellent
Nothing
Very convenient for the cider mill theatre Comfortable room
Noise during the night Seemed like a generator was running all night And an obvious walk way in the morning
Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Breakfast was of a high standard and not too heavy.
