The hotel did not live up to expectations. Upon arrival, I asked front desk staff if massages were available—as stated on Booking.com—and was told they didn't offer any. On my last day, I accidentally discovered a spa facility on floor -1, but unfortunately, I didn't have enough time left to book a service. ​The room cleanliness was lacking, including hair left on the bathroom floor, and all facilities felt quite old and outdated. Given the price, I wasn't expecting luxury, but basic cleanliness and accurate information from staff should still be provided.

Lo que más me gustó fue el servicio: el personal es muy amable y atento en todo momento. La ubicación es excelente y el desayuno también está bastante bien.

Lo que menos me gustó fue que la traducción del inglés al chino en Booking no era del todo correcta, lo que generó una confusión con la reserva: la habitación estaba preparada para tres personas cuando nosotros éramos cuatro. Aun así, quiero destacar que el personal hizo todo lo posible por solucionarlo y finalmente nos ofrecieron una alternativa en una suite, algo que agradecimos mucho.

For a 5 star hotel it was strange that at the reception desk when we arrived no one spoke English. Also we had to pay extra for family room because the room we booked on booking.com had beds that were too small for 4 of us.

They been helpful throughout my arrival check in and also departure check out respectively. They been caring and demonstrating professionalism throughout my stay. Once again thanks to them both and looking forward to meeting them again if approtunity arises.

The interior renovation / furnishing is very old otherwise everything is perfect.

I stayed here for one night during a long layover in Chengdu and was really happy with my choice. The room was spacious, very clean, quiet, and had everything I needed. The bed was really comfortable, there were plenty of pillows, and after a long flight it was exactly what I needed. I slept really well, which isn't always easy when you're travelling. Everything was in great condition, and it was just a really comfortable place to relax and recharge before my next flight. The location is also really convenient, with Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li just a short walk away, so it's easy to get out and see a bit of the city if you have the time. I ordered a club sandwich from room service for dinner, and it was really tasty. It arrived quickly and was much better than I expected. I also asked if a late check-out would be possible, and the hotel was very accommodating. That made a big difference, as I had several hours before my flight and it gave me time to enjoy the day without feeling rushed. The staff were excellent throughout my stay. Mia made check-in quick and easy, and she was friendly and welcoming. After I'd already left Chengdu, I realised I'd forgotten my sunglasses in the room. Luna and Tina helped track them down, kept me updated, and arranged to have them sent to my home address. They arrived just two days later. I really appreciated how helpful they were and how quickly they organised everything. Overall, it was just a really easy, comfortable stay from start to finish. Great location, comfortable rooms, good food, and genuinely helpful staff. I'd definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Chengdu.

The location was perfect, just a short walk, 5-7 minutes, to IFS mall and Tai Koo Li. The staff were so accommodating and nice, promptly attending to our needs at all times. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and complete array of toiletries. The breakfast buffet is worth the price; just a tip that it may be a bit cheaper to book breakfast at the reception counter. Super value for money!

The hotel was centrally located. Breakfast was good. But I had an issue with the chef at the egg station who was apparently very rude. It’s an old hotel but it’s value for money.

Location - quiet but accessible. With eateries nearby for meals at anytime of the day. Hotel's room housekeeping service was up to expectation. Laundry service was good, just a bit pricey.

A couple of things: 1. Double bed, double room means 2 super single beds and when can stay 3 pax means will add an additional mattress. In other words, picture is for illustration. Hotel reception can help by checking with guest if they know there are 3 guests for that booking and provide room with a queen bed + 1 instead. 2. Hotel breakfast - tables were were not readily clean nor full set of utensils were provided. Spoon is always "on leave". Food standard, day 1 was fine. As days go on, the standard of food varies. The egg section especially on 24 Jun 2026 was not acceptable. 3. The gym was poorly maintained with limited equipment. 4. Butler at the lobby, sometimes react quickly, sometimes don't. Hence, is not so helpful at all when more guests leaving by car at the same time.

La ubicación es lo mejor, está cerca de Chunxi Road y de Taikoo Li. A una estación de Tianfu Square y a dos de Peoples Park. Es pleno centro. El personal siempre me ayudó a conseguir taxi.

El personal hablaba poco inglés, pero esto es generalizado en Chengdu. El hotel fue cinco estrellas pero ahora está un poco viejo. Son instalaciones de hace varios años.

Everything was good location excellent rooms quite big.

To use the pool you must use a hair cap. They sell them but was a bit annoying.

При бронировании указывали размещение для двух взрослых и двух детей 10 и 14 лет. Был предложен номер, его и забронировали. При заселении на ресепшен сказали, что в этот номер четверо человек не поместится, что надо доплатить (кажется, 600 юаней в сутки), и нам дадут большой номер. Я отказался доплачивать, объяснив, что этот номер нам предложил Букинг с их информацией. Совещались минут 20, потом сказали, что дадут другой номер, бесплатно. Номер был шикарный - большая комната, двухспальная кровать и двухэтажная детская. Инцидент не понравился. :-) И еще: вечером ресторан работает только для участников конференции. Но можно заказать в номер, приносят всю сервировку, но в ресторане было бы вчетвером удобнее.

Mid-March 2026 i stayed 4 nights at the Crowne Plaza City Center Chengdu. The annual Sugar and Wine Fair Festival was taking place there at the same time. China's largest food and alcohol festival for the industry. You wouldn't recognize the hotel anymore; it was being transformed into a trade fair inside and out. See the photos. This meant thousands of visitors, the majority of whom arrived by bus. The hotel was difficult to access; the reception was also barely reachable, requiring a queue of people to get to the elevators where there were huge lines. The restaurants had been relocated. None of this was communicated to me as a regular hotel guest, and while you hear "sorry, sorry" from the friendly staff. If I had known this before, I would have cancelled the booking. So, do not book in March or April unless you enjoy such a trade fair ;

At the moment of booking, there wasn't any notice about the pool and gym renovation and at the check in there wasn't any mention or noticed about it, when my wife and I went to use the facilities it's when we noticed the renovation work, if I had known before about the renovation, frankly I would not had booked the night.

正好碰上糖洒会，有点乱，展会最后一天3月25日下午晚上拆除展会过程中，进出旅馆很不安全，沒有任何安全通道和现场安全人员，相当好人混乱。

Strategy location

The service was attentive and the family room was very spacious with great amenities, even though the upgrade price they charged was a bit outrageous.

It was very annoying not to have access to the lobby and the front entrance due to their annual food and wine product show. Please warn guests next time before they book. It would be more transparent.

Location was excellent, and we got a free upgrade as despite booking.com saying 2 adults / 2 kids could stay in a double room this wasn’t the case. However, the hotel upgraded us to a family suite free of charge as they realized it was the website booking error.

There was a very large conference ongoing during the weekend of our stay which made access into and out of the hotel lobby difficult during the day. However, this was obviously a one-time even and the staff / concierge were always on hand to help steer us through the crowds.
