Reviewed Aug 18, 2026Hello, I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn LAX - El Segundo in Los Angeles with a booking made in advance through booking.com. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this stay and with your services. We paid extra for a package deal offered on your website which not only involved the room booking, but also added early check in, late check-out and a property credit of USD $25 for an ADDITIONAL booking fee. However, after checking with the hotel staff, they had not heard of this as a package booking offered from booking.com and therefore did not honour this package. We were not given the USD $25 property credit, and had to fight for a late check out, where we recieved a minimal amount after extensive debating with hotel staff. Even after debating that we still had the cleaners knocking on our door at normal check-out time.... We are very disappointed in this service from booking.com and are very dissatisfied that we paid extra for very minimal coverage - the hotel staff even said we paid an exceptionally large amount from our room. I would like some compensation for this FALSE ADVERTISING and would like to be refunded as the package deal was not honoured.

I wasn’t aware of the additional charge for parking. That being said, I definitely appreciated the availability and convenience of having a secure lot so close. I also loved the on-site bar and kitchen.

Just a little surprised, there were only 4 coffee pod and 2 creamers. Had to ask for more. Also no glasses or plates or cutlery even though there is a microwave and fridge.also no tea and had to go to bar for 2 drinking glasses. I also missed a shower cap.

As at all Hilton hotels, the pillows were too full for me to comfortably sleep on. I had to fold up my fleece jacket to use as a pillow. I’d love to see Hilton offer some choices. There were 6 pillows in the room and they were too far. This was true at the LAX Hilton as well where I stayed 3 weeks ago.

They charge for breakfast. Buffet was like $16 per person and it was nothing out of the ordinary- scrambled eggs,sausage,potatoes,etc.No waffles or pancakes. Coffee was not great. Seemed overpriced for ordinary.

The rugs are thick in the hallways to the rooms which makes it hard to roll luggage on them.

The night we arrived after a long drive the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night that scared my granddaughter. It was a false alarm but they failed to have someone come by the rooms/ hall way to let everyone outside their room doors that everything was ok.
