Onsite restaurant very good. Fine for a quick stay.
The parking lot is too small and the spaces are really tight. It’s a weird layout & hard to find things. Like it’s been added on multiple times without good planning. Only one washer & one dryer for guests and it’s on the 2nd floor. Ridiculous with so many rooms.
The breakfast was enough to get by for a few hours, a little bit more divers on meat options I would suggest.I'll
Registration easy, room very good, great sized TV
At the prevailing accommodation price, no breakfast is a downer. This area of Hinton has many hotels to choose from and paying at the $300/night level breakfast should be a given.
The room was spacious enough for our family, and the sofa bed provided a separate sleeping area for the kids. Overall, it was a decent and comfortable stay.
Our room had an adjoining door to the room next door, which reduced the sense of privacy. It was also on the highest floor available, so guests who dislike stairs should avoid booking the same room type. Strangely, there was an illuminated exit sign inside the room that lit up the living area where the sofa bed was located. Thankfully, it did not bother the kids, but it was an unusual feature to have inside a guest room.
La piscina i el personal. Establiment nou o recent reformat.
El lavabo es troba fora del WC
Very easy location and convenient.
All good. If Breakfast included, that would be nice
Hospitality and breakfast was good. The view of the mountains was great
NOT LIKE mini fridge did not fit into the cupboard, my AC/Heat system would not shut off the fan kept on blowing. The DO NOT BACK UP into DID the hotel sign should be bigger. As a tool truck backed into the front of my window right beside the air intake of my room and nearly poisoned me on Tuesday morning
Staff were friendly.
The hotel is pretty run down. There are papers in the doors indicating room numbers in a few areas. Restaurant was shut down. The bathroom is very tiny. Room was cold so slept in a friends room. The hairdryers in both rooms didn’t work properly. Very poor value (even for time of year). My room smelled of sweat and body odour when I entered. My travel companions room was the same and required scented room spray to be bearable.
Good location and super staff
Pool had mechanical issues and hot tub was out of service
We stayed at this hotel for one night - thank goodness! There is no elevator leaving you to carry your luggage upstairs and through narrow hallways. The hotel smells of cigarette and pot smoke. The room and hotel were not very clean. It was a noisy, run down hotel. This was VERY disappointing for a Holiday Inn hotel. Will never stay there again. The parking lot was full of large trucks making it very difficult to park and hard to find a parking spot. Likely this was due to workers staying at the hotel who were rebuilding Jasper after the devastating fire.
Location it’s near Jasper National Park & hotel rates are good value for money/ Staff are very nice and friendly.
Very large and comfortable room with good access to Jasper. Location was good for amenities
The place needs to be soundproof better could hear everything from people going up and downstairs to thumping from people above.
Very clean and quiet
Bathroom to small wasn't told about not bath tub in room
Location
The bed was terrible both my wife and myself did not get a good sleep
It is nice clean room. But rooms are not quite.
Heating system didn't working
Convenient and modern
It was a great stay
Restaurant closed for reno.. easy walk to several restaurants & convenience stores. Nice bed & good pillows, nice big TV with lots of options. Some train noise and very bright parking lot lights
Good overall, although it was a bit of a distance for me to eat food for the price of my liking, as I wanted to eat at places off-site. The room was upstairs near the center of the building (so getting luggage up & down the stairway was a bit much without elevators from the parking lot, which was being repaved during my visit).
Liked the property but don’t understand why a $300 damage deposit and then it takes 5-7 days to get released. When I move hotels every few days this ties up a LOT of money in a week
Spacious room
Outdoor grill area was excellent
If you got to breakfast at 8:00 they did not refresh the eggs
Terrible booking experience. Not advised no breakfast Rude staff at check in making me feel it was my fault that I didn’t know. Said price for my 2 rooms was best price at $187 yet charged me $220 instead. Both rooms were poorly upgraded. Shower surround pulling away from wall, pink mold around bath, bath not grouted, Hair stuck to bathroom wall, air conditioning units suck in exhaust from vehicles parked up against room walls. Rugs in both rooms had multiple stains. Bathroom door touched the toilet making it very hard to manoeuvre in the minuscule bathroom Etc etc. at checkout clerk said she’d refund $30 and give extra loyalty points and that the manager would call me. None of that happened. VERY POOR customer service. I posted a complaint on the website which asked if I wanted a call from the manager. I entered “yes” … STILL NOTHING. I’m disgusted.
Kids enjoyed the pool.
Sad that the restaurant was closed for renovations. One of the reasons we booked there was the breakfast option.
Rooms were very dated and property was in the middle of a renovation that left a mess everywhere you looked. pool was nice and lots of dining options close by.
Easy access to highway and amenities
Room needs renovation. Floor is uneven.
Staffs are excellent and polite! But the room has a lot of ants coming from air duct system
Although cosmetically renovated, this hotel is clearly an old building with an old school motel kind of layout. 2 stories, narrow doorways, stairwell at each end of the building, etc. Pros - comfy bed and linens, nice cosmetic finishes , staff friendly at check in Cons - extremely noisy. Old building is not soundproof. Our room adjoined another and even with the door closed we could hear the other guest’s conversation. They coughed and backed all night and it was loud enough to keep me up. Constant door slamming in the hallway - we were located near an exit door. Constant door traffic up and down the stairs (also located near the stairwell). We were on the main level and there were people outside (smoking? socializing?) until well after midnight. Although they weren’t being rowdy, the noise of their talking and laughing came right through our window and kept us up. Restaurant under construction. Received an email after checking in telling us this and saying they would provide free eye masks and ear plugs. Cost - well over $200/night (on a weeknight). Had I known how noisy the hotel was and that the restaurant was under renovation, we would have stayed elsewhere. There are plenty of options in Hinton and beyond the cosmetic touches, this hotel doesn’t live up to the Holiday Inn brand promise.
Really Clean and spacious room, amenities nearby. Really friendly staff throughout. Keith the Manager was super friendly when we checked in. Would recommend
No Elevator
Very clean
Room was clean and renovated and staff were extremely helpful
Jacuzzi and pool very nice
wash room shower was not that good. water was not warm enough
Das Personal war nett, die Suite sehr geräumig.
Direkt vor unserem Fenster standen Container.
There was no parking due to renovations no restaurant had to park in an unsafe area and walk along distance
Too expensive
Was quiet
This hotel is a bit on the older side but dont let that fool you, the pool/eaterslidr was a huge hit with my son and the beds/pillows were the most comfortable hotel beds i have ever slept on.
Everything was excellent
I like it
I stayed at this hotel and paid $300 per night, but unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations. The room was clean but there was no breakfast included, which was inconvenient. Service was average, and overall, I felt the value for the price was poor.
I was told we were upgraded to a renovated room, i was unaware we booked an unrenovated room as the listing didn't mentuon anything and only showed pictures of updated rooms. The room was clean and confortable, as well as the pool area. Stay was comfortable. The TV did not work. We could not find staff that night and when we mentioned it the next day upon check out, the staff said it was our fault for not letting them know the night before so no discount. We asked for the manager to contact us when he came in and so far its been 5 days with no communication. The restaurant was also closed and nothing offered as a "go bag" as described in the emails provided.
Good hotel for the price
Good and very nice room and good staff member
Very stupid people working at the counter. Do not recommend this hotel.
The newly renovated room was indeed exceptional. It was the right size for a family of 4 with all adults. Everything in Hinton is walking distance. For a small town, restaurants were superb. I just hope they included breakfast in the price. We will definitely go back and stay in this hotel in Hinton.
The room was clean and comfortable, the pool was fantastic, my grand daughter thoroughly enjoyed the slide, water was clean and not too chlorinated. Beds were comfortable. Only think that wasnt great was the newly renovated bathroom did not have enough room to easily get into the shower stall
We liked the pool
Room
Freshly renovated room was very nice. Blinds were black out and worked perfectly. It was 30°c out and the AC unit kept the room quite cold.
Great stay. Right next to a great steakhouse and pool is awesome
Very good
No wifi or breakfast included for $350 a night. Parking lot full of mud.
Would like to serve the breakfast.Would like to have room cleaned every day and remove the old towels and provide new one.
Old and dated hotel. Very noisy. Rooms are very old and not what’s shown online. Breakfast was a busy and not included. No elevators and the accessible room was certainly not that.
Walls are very thin resulting in lots of ambient noise.
Nice clean new rooms
We enjoyed our stay. We had a quiet room in the back. The children liked the pool and the beds were cozy.
Nicely looked after :)
Took a long time to get checked in. Reaturant is closed for Reno’s it was clean but rooms are very outdated
Nice property
parking is very less park on very otherside of the road no breakfast included in the stay as they said breakfast is there on website. paid full but less service
Amazing
Good hotel with a pool, waterslide, & hot tub. Only downsides were that the room was a little small for a family of 4, and the restsurant was closed while we were there. Other than that, I would definitely recommend!
The staff was friendly and helpful; while neither of our rooms had working fan/ air conditioning when we arrived, it was promptly fixed. The restaurant area was under renovation, so no food was available.
Room wasn’t the cleanest but it was not bad 3/5. The hotel was great 10/10. Staff was unbelievable every member greeted you and the front desk kept the pool open an extra 15 minutes for my family as we got in late. Very good experience highly recommend
The kids loved the pool. Room was clean.
Nothing
All is good
Property is in need of a facelift. They are currently renovating the restaurant and bar so it was closed. Check in took forever. I had reserved two rooms; one for us and the other for our friends traveling with us. I had contacted the hotel ahead of time to make sure each room had been reserved under different credit cards. The gentleman checking us in could not get our rooms assigned correctly with two different cards on file. It took about 15 minutes to get checked in. This hotel does not have an elevator; stairs only to the second floor. Rooms are in need of new carpet and furnishings. There is a small store with snacks for sale. but no food options other than snacks. No coffee available in the lobby in the morning either. Upon checkout we discovered our rooms had been billed to each others credit cards. Luckily, we were good friends traveling together so just decided to fix it among ourselves. So, check your bill carefully when you leave; they really have some issues with billing. Perhaps after renovations this property will be better. For the price paid ($330) per night it was definitely not worth it.
It was clean and quiet and our room smelled like new car scent. Was fantastic would stay again
Check in was easy and friendly, room was clean, modern and comfortable, family friendly. Pool was nice and the kids enjoyed the slide.
The room was dirty, had a strange smell, and the staff were unfriendly.
The room had a paper number for the room, a door that was hard to open, think it might have been the staff old lunch room, the bathroom had stains all over the edging of the floor, both the bathroom an closet stuck when you tried to open the door, couldn't get in with the key into the building , so they gave us a fob. Wi-fi had to have a special code, otherwise would not work, tried to email finally , could receive them but couldn't send them. The carpet was all bumpy an dirty , when you walked on it caught your shoes an we would trip, but the carpet was dirty an stained , so you wanted your shoes on. The wall paper was coming off , had nicotine stains on the top of the wall paper , they had two beds, well the mattress was bigger than the box spring an it would slide off. I have never had a room so bad, the cafe was closed for reno. you had to walk up stairs or the ramp for the second floor, they had no elevator the room cost us over $300.00 Canadian. At first glance the grounds looked clean , the plants were dying , smoke butts ever where they have never been cleaned up , it was raining so never really looked . I do not recommend this hotel , I have never had a issue with the Holiday Inn ever , but this one should be closed an fully reno.
Newer decor. Mountain view.
