Beautiful hotel. Great facilities.
Somewhat expensive food dining.
I like the old charm of the hotel
I’ve stayed before in Hong Kong
Everything
The smoking area have no seats and no service there
There is a great ambience in the stunning foyer and the staff are exceptional. Simply cannot do enough for you. Highly recommended
Klimatyczny hotel z pięknym lobby i restauracją na miejscu. Bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa, bardzo fajny klimatyczny bar, hotel w dobrej lokalizacji, blisko parku i centrum handlowego, bardzo dobre śniadanie.
This is top class luxury, from the team to the hotel.

Everything!! The staff were amazing and the hotel is very grand.
Nothing to fault as it’s a lovely hotel! The only thing that I wish was made more clear is you can get an early check-in from 6am potentially - we ended up booking the evening before as we were on a red eye.

The lobby was absolutely beautiful and the staff were super helpful and professional.

None at all
This review is not about the 5-star character of the hotel but rather the back of house finance processes, in particular an error made by the Peninsula Manila in charging me a room of which charge was previously voided. It is taking 2 and a half months of empty promises for a refund--and I am still hoping to be refunded. It makes the customer feel that the Peninsula is only interested with getting the customer's money and dismissing customer's concern. The empty promises is what gets me. Beware of the charges made by the Peninsula Manila--an indication of a decaying service culture.
It’s a beautiful hotel, even more than the photos. The staff were very professional and friendly. We could not had a better stay.

Amazing place
There’s nothing like the Manila Pen. Stunning reception area, the best breakfast in the Philippines, and extremely friendly staff. Beautiful pool area and nice gym. 5 star hotel the “old fashioned” way. We always come back to the Pen!
Rooms are noisy as the doors let a lot of sound in. You can hear hotel staff shouting into walkie talkies in the corridor at all hours, as well as other guests talking as they walk past. Breakfast buffet is average, with a lot of staff but surprisingly poor service. The front desk was incompetent. Despite giving them our flight number and a specific pick-up time 3.5 hours before departure, they arranged the car for the time our flight was actually taking off. The rooms are dated and badly need renovation, and the staff need better training. This hotel is doing a big disservice to the Peninsula brand. I’d recommend the Shangri-La across the street instead.
First Stay at The Peninsula Manila and Definitely Not Our Last We were visiting from Los Angeles and stayed for 4 nights at The Peninsula Manila in two Grand Deluxe for our family of four. This was our first stay at The Peninsula Manila, and we were very impressed with the entire experience. Upon arriving, the service stood out. A huge shoutout to Kody at the Front Desk, who checked us in, answered all of our questions and personally escorted us to our rooms. We stay at many hotels, and I honestly cannot remember the last time front desk team member answered all our questions and escorted us to our room. It was a special touch that made us feel like VIPs. Duty Manager Marian Sanchez also personally introduced herself and gave us her direct email in case we needed anything during our stay. We really appreciated that level of personal attention. Thank you as well to Billy, Front Desk Supervisor, and Jeam at the front desk for taking care of us. One of the highlights of our stay was The Gallery Club Lounge. We loved the ambiance, music, food and drinks, and especially the level of attention and detail from the staff. They even remembered our names and greeted us whenever we came in, which made the experience feel very personal. A special thank you to Andrea, Arianne, Chef Peng, June, and Rommel for always welcoming us and taking such good care of us. I would also like to recognize Maria, The Gallery Club Manager, along with Gezel and Koko. Whenever I had a question or needed assistance, they were always there and happy to help. We also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Escolta. There was a great spread with a wide variety of breakfast options each morning. Special recognition to Vicent, an intern at the Taho station personally assisted me with making Taho, as well as Mar, Supervisor, and Dennis Vince Cruz, Assistant Manager, for their wonderful and friendly service. Our rooms were spotless, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Housekeeping did an amazing job servicing our rooms throughout the stay, and the turndown service each evening was a nice bonus. We really cannot say anything negative about our experience. The only negative was that our 4-night stay went by too quickly! The property is beautiful, but it was the warm Filipino hospitality, attention to detail, and genuinely friendly staff that made our first stay at The Peninsula Manila so memorable. 5 out of 5 stars from us. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you to the entire Peninsula Manila team for such a memorable experience!
Everything was marvelous. Many thanks to the staff. The location is fantastic, with a park nearby.
The ambiance of the hotel, good location friendly staff and clean rooms, good breakfast
I could not control the airconditioning even if there was a panel in the room
Excelente pequeno almoço

The Escolta Restaurant provides a wide range of quality dishes and we enjoyed them at both the breakfast and evening buffets. The staff are genuinely friendly and their service is efficient and effective. The hotel provides a tranquil base for a stay in a somewhat chaotic city.
Only skimmed milk was provided at our breakfast buffet. It was like drinking white water.
Well kept. Polite and friendly staff. Awesome showers!
The age of the rooms are starting to show. Time to upgrade.
The facilities, the staff ( the moment we got out from the car, we felt the warm Filipino hospitality! The atrium was very airy, very relaxing to kill time! The bed was very comfy and the fabric they used for duvet and pillows! I love my bed so it's essential for me to have a very comfortable bed after a long haul flight or hectic schedule. The breakfast - There are lots that catered for Asian and western including drinks! The waiters and waitresses are very attentive! The Buffet at dinner time! It was worth the price! Tourist spots- it's accessible to everything, either walking or using a cab. Just 10 minutes from the hotel is the Ayala Museum that's worth to visit if you are into pre colonial Philippine treasures.
Nothing !
The staff, the breakfast so many choices from oriental to western foods. The bed was very very comfortable! What makes special of this hotel was the small things that made it more special!

Thank u soo much for Ur lots service we have enjoyed the stay in Madina in peninsula hotel we lived our room and inshallah will be back next year ameen💓🕋👐
Celebrated my birthday last night at The Lobby, our servers - Rich and Manuel are so accomodating and attentive. My family and I had such a wonderful time. They made my birthday super special 🩷
Very nice and prestige hotel. Staff is wonderful and very friendly.
It is so nice to meet staff members, many who've been employed by the hotel for years. These give a deep enhancement to the superb service that the hotel provides.
It is hard to find anything of significance to report here.
Front Desk staff by the name of DJ was very helpful and made it easy to check in upon arrival. The breakfast buffet had a wide array of items and dishes to choose from and ambience was very nice. The spa services and pool staff were very good and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much.
Beautiful and elegant property, breathtaking foyer, extremely polished staff, wonderful breakfast, and wonderful pool and fitness facilities including sauna.

Smell from AC, feeling in rooms it is getting old
We have stayed at other Peninsula Hotels and always received first class treatment.
Nothing, all good.
We have always loved our stays in Manila Peninsula. The service is always in great level and they are incredibly welcoming and warm and making sure that everything is good. Nothing seems to be a problem for the staff. This gives you the feeling of luxury and care and you are able to fully relax in this kind of atmosphere. After all the years gone by the lobby of the hotel is still one of the most impressive in the world. We booked grand deluxe room which is on the street side of the hotel. We ended up downgrading our room after the first night to inner court deluxe room which was a better choice for us. Couple of things that made us feel quite sad for their 50th anniversary is that the hotel facilities need a good maintaining. Room was nice and clean but all the towels were greyish and ripping from the sides, shower toiletries were not I the level of a luxury hotel - the shower gel smelled like a dog shampoo. The room needs an update to the power sockets (like int adapters and usb-c). By the pool the service is amazing and guys are really looking after you bringing you water and cold towels, but some of the sunbeds and umbrellas are ripped and very worn out - also in need of maintaining. Gym is very nice and well equipped. The saunas and locker rooms are in need of complete make over. The saunas are definitely in the end our their usage period and lockers can hardly have their doors locked. The food and the service on the restaurants are great. We had breakfast at Escolta every morning and used the pool and lobby restaurants plenty of times.
This was our fourth time staying in the Peninsula while in Manila and it did not disappoint. The staff is incredible, the lobby is beautiful and the room really nice. Altho we love the hotel, and will most probably choose to stay there also in the future, there are some things the management should adress: there’s a little wear and tear to be seen around, like the towels in the room are quite worn, as are the mattresses and sun shades at the pool. The gym is huge and great (one of the biggest and best hotel gyms I’ve visited) but looking a little worn, too. Also one could see some dents in the bathroom of the room, altho the room itself was in good condition. The breakfast at Escolta was as amazing as always, as was dinner at the Lobby. The hotel is located near to the malls Glorietta and Greenbelt as well as near to a Shoemart, Kultura and a Landmark so we were able to do our shopping and manipedis close by. All in all we enjoyed our stay and can easily recommend the Peninsula.
I hope they can find another way of verifying guests who have paid for the buffet breakfast. I found it intrusive and tacky for them to disturb guests having a quiet moment at the table or in conversation, having a staff member roam to verify and have a piece of paper signed. They already have staff members at the buffet area entrance; why can't they do it there at the beginning? It also signals being suspicious. They should be subtle and classy.
Building was beyond my dreams
The Bar was too dark. We walked in n we walked OUT. For 6pm it was simply too dark and depressing
Lovely service and staff were very welcoming. Rooms were great and larger than I expected. Great stay!
Stunning lobby and facilities, beautiful hotel. Lovely stuff.
The smell on corridors and from AC. I think it’s because of humidity or mould. Also after taking a shower the whole bathroom floor was completely wet. Everything was great besides that.
The pool, the staff and the food
It’s a bit old now
The lobby is spectacular! Like incredible. The buffet breakfast was huge with such an array of options including whole coconuts for coconut water. The Steam Room/Sauna was excellent as was the pool area. While I was not staying for business, this would be the perfect place to stay for such a trip.
We thought from the photo's of rooms that the decor would not look very good, however it appeared better in person than in the photos.
We had an overnight stay with my mom and kids last June 28, and it was our first time staying here. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the Duty Manager, Ms. Marian. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, thanks to Ms. Kody, and Ms. Marga who assisted us all the way to our room. The room was spacious, clean, and complete with everything we needed. Although the property shows its age, it has a classic charm that gives it character. We also appreciated that every additional amenity we requested was provided. The next morning, we had breakfast at Escolta. There were plenty of stations to choose from, offering a wide variety of food. Unfortunately, as I was about to sit down, one of the chair’s leg broke, causing me to fall to the floor. Thankfully, one of the attendants quickly replaced the chair and made sure I was okay. After breakfast, we headed to the pool area to take some photos. It had just rained, and the floor was still wet, causing my son to slip. We informed Ms. Marian about what happened, and she immediately checked on us and made sure we were well taken care of. She offered to arrange medical assistance, but thankfully, we were all okay and politely declined. Ms. Maricar, the restaurant manager, also took the time to check on us personally, which we truly appreciated. Despite the unfortunate incidents, we truly appreciated how professionally and sincerely the staff handled the situation. Their genuine concern and excellent service turned what could have been a negative experience into one that still left a positive impression. We’re grateful for their hospitality and would definitely consider coming back.
I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the facilities were excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay
Personnel attentionné et compétent
Hall trop bruyant.
I stayed at The Peninsula Manila for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel is showing its age in some areas. My room had a telephone next to the toilet, which felt like a throwback to another era, and there weren’t as many power outlets or USB ports as you would find in a newer property. But those things were easy to overlook. What stood out to me was the atmosphere. The lobby is constantly buzzing with people meeting for afternoon tea, business discussions and family gatherings. It feels like a hotel that is still very much part of the life of the city rather than just a place for tourists to sleep. I arrived hungry after travelling and had a bowl of wonton soup in the lobby restaurant. It was simple, comforting and exactly what I needed. I also spent some time by the pool, which felt like a peaceful escape from the heat and traffic outside. The staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay. Check-in was smooth, housekeeping was excellent and everyone I encountered seemed genuinely interested in helping guests. If you’re looking for the newest and most modern hotel in Manila, there are other options. But if you appreciate history, character and a sense of place, The Peninsula still delivers. I would happily stay here again on a future visit to Manila.
The main lobby is stunning, staff were all friendly and attentive. The facilities were absolutely perfect. Will definitely be back.

Staff, rooms are dated and dirty. Flies in the breakfast buffet (escolta)
The Manila Peninsula, exceeded our expectations. From their airport pick up, check in and out has been the best. The staffs are the key of having a great hotel, they are all attentive, polite and kind. They have also upgraded our room, they added an extra bed because we are three, they have also approved our late check in and checkout request which is awesome.
We love everything in the hotel and will surely stay in the hotel every time we visit the Philippines. The room was so cold which was great and the beds are so comfortable and clean. The pool was great, we were lucky as few people using the pool.
Everything. The hotel is spectacular and the service and food offerings exceptional
If I was being picky, PowerPoints and some fit outs a little out of date
We had a (again) truly wonderful stay at this hotel and were impressed by the outstanding facilities, exceptional service, and attention to detail throughout the property. This was our fouth time we stayed at The Peninsula Manila. The first thing that catches your eye is the breathtaking lobby, which creates a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The elegant design and impressive architecture set the tone for a memorable stay. One of the highlights was the excellent pool area. It was beautifully maintained, spacious, and provided the perfect environment to relax and unwind. Whether enjoying a swim or simply lounging by the pool, the experience was first-class. The breakfast buffet was absolutely world-class. The selection of both Asian and Western dishes was exceptional, with top-notch quality ingredients and an impressive variety of options. The service (espacially from Mitch, Dennis and Mar) at breakfast deserves special recognition—attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. Every morning felt like a fine dining experience. The spa facilities were another major highlight. The sauna and steam bath were excellent and offered a relaxing retreat after a busy day. The only feature missing was a whirlpool, which would have made the wellness area even more complete. Fitness enthusiasts will also appreciate the well-equipped gym, which provides a comprehensive range of modern equipment suitable for both cardio and strength training. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of room to relax. While they were impeccably clean and functional, they are beginning to feel somewhat outdated compared to other Hotel in the area. A refurbishment of the rooms would elevate the overall experience even further. Overall, the Peninsula delivers an exceptional guest experience through its outstanding breakfast, excellent wellness facilities, beautiful pool area, and remarkable service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (again) and would not hesitate to return.
Accessible, near to malls
Toilet and room configuration is not so modern
I was a fan of the Peninsula for many years I stayed at the Peninsula Manila for the first time Never ever stay at the Peninsula Manila! It is not a Peninsula It is a 4 star hotel at best. Probably 3 star Horrible, incompetent and poorly trained staff Waited more than 15 minutes in line to check in Room Aircon didn’t work Old rooms with a button for “fax” Poor housekeeping No international cable TV channels (eg CNN) on the TV. Only local channels Super slow service at breakfast Car service took forever Room key didn’t work and they blame my mobile for de-magnetising the phone Hotel manager only gives excuses Slow internet An embarrassment to the Peninsula brand
The property is clean and well maintained. I would consider saying it is like a casa blanca era.
Nothing it’s beautiful.
