Property location is ideal near the park and city
The place is very dark, there is only one elevator everything was pretty cramped, breakfast seemed unorganized, staff didn’t always answer the reception, seems all together pretty hacked together. Too expensive for the what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. 3 star at best.
The Hotel is a boutique hotel with a few positives and several significant negatives. First the positives: it is located in short walking distance to many of the attractions of Lucerne, such as the ferry quai and the railway station. Its front desk staff are friendly young people. Our room at least (billed as a suite, but not actually) was spacious by Swiss hotel standards. Now some quite significant negatives. First, the decor is very dark, especially in the rooms, where lighting is most insufficient. The furniture in the room is cheap and does not invite sitting and enjoying the room. The shower was small with only a hand-held shower head. The room was billed as "Garden View" but the small, chest height window actually only looks out over the green roof of the adjacent public library. And perhaps most off-putting, the ceiling is papered with soft porn in the form of a large photographic illustration of a naked and tattooed oriental woman with glowing nipples, a satisfied and lounging man looking on, and a double-entendre caption (complete with grammatical error). If this is a "Jean Nouvel masterpiece" as is claimed, I would avoid the artist; who wants to look at such a picture above his or her bed at the going down of the sun and in the morning -- and every time one wakes at night? The breakfast is, for a hotel of this cost, very sparse. And to get to it, one has to compete for the one tiny elevator with the staff who are using it at all hours to transport their carts and cleaning materials. The Hotel is not one to which I would likely return and I am surprised that it is part of a Marriott collection. Sorry!
We are huge fans of Marriott and booked this hotel because of the location to the train station and downtown. The staff were amazing and very accommodating but the rooms were not safe for older travelers. We were given an upgrade on arrival and checked into our room after 3pm. The room was large and had a window overlooking the park. My husband has a bad back and he could not sit in the "bubble" chairs in the room. There were 3 steps up to a large bathroom with very slippery floors (even when not wet). I don't know who talked designers into barn doors and barn doors at the top of 3 steps for the bath is a recipe for disaster. There was only a tub/shower combo and that also was a challenge for my husband. We requested a room change after being in the room about an hour. The hotel doesn't offer any rooms for handicapped accessible. We were offered and accepted a smaller room with just a shower. It was much safer. It still had the same "Bubble" chairs that were not comfortable but did look cool. The worst thing about the room was the "art" on the ceiling. Not only did I have nightmares waking up to see it but it also surprised us each time we woke up. I guess I have to admit we are finally old! Finally, the restaurant has mirrors to reflect the light. It was blinding when you walk in and felt like I needed my sunglasses on the whole time. Overall it was a disappointment. I will be sure to check more carefully next time in Lucerne for something a little calmer and safer.
The Hotel Lucerne is convenient to central Lucerne and walking the old city. It is a small, boutique hotel - the front desk told us it is the second smallest Autograph Collection hotel in the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio. As a Bonvoy Ambassador Elite, we had two rooms and were placed next door to each other on the top floor with a private end of the hall, making for a quiet stay. The rooms were large for a European urban hotel, especially the bathrooms. Everything was very clean and had a very distinctive modern design. The staff was friendly and accommodating of family travel with kids. For the size of hotel, the breakfast buffet offered a good variety. The only drawback was parking - the hotel has only two dedicated spots, which were already taken, so we were left to find parking on Lucerne city streets. Luckily we found a spot just a few blocks away.

It take almost 10 minutes for the four of us the reach this hotel from the train station since we were carrying 2 medium-large and 2 small luggages. The Hotel Lucerne located in the central area and many attractions of Lucerne are within walking distance. So many restaurants, Cafes and Bistros nearby. Upon our arrival, we got a surprise : I got upgraded to Corner Suite facing the small garden, Library of Lucerne and a Church. The front office provide all the information we need to see the city; the way she explained made us rushing the the city right after we settled our room. Check in and check out was very quick and seamless. I really enjoy the breakfast as guests can choose some menus from the kitchen and the staff prepare them to our liking. Room was spacious, very well decorated (although at the first night my wife was a bit disturbed by the painting or picture on the ceiling). And I got a very pleasant and unforgettable memory : on the second day, the four staffs on duty drop by on our breakfast table for wishing myself a great and wonderful birthday. And I still keep the card presented to me. Thank you for make our stay and visit in Lucerne memorable. So, in conclusion : Perfect
Stayed here for a night while on business in Luzern. Hotel has a very nice boutique feel. Room was huge (maybe I got upgraded as Marriott Ambassador). But a few flaws. There are weird LED lighting strips and lights everywhere. Some of these you CANNOT turn off. Which means you cannot sleep well. Hotels are all about sleep. This is a major failing. I had to do my best to put pillows over these annoyances. The room also runs warm. You cant set it to be cold at night. And breakfast is lackluster. The omelette is more of a fried egg.
Reception staff( Alex) was really helpful.
The roof wall paper was annoying to stare at.
Sehr gute Lage nahe beim Bahnhof. Eigene Baar. Sehr freundliches Personal
Great location beautiful rooms
Empty mini bar
The hotel’s interiors are stunning. Best room I’ve ever slept in. Also, the staff were super nice and attentive, and the service impeccable (night of 6/11, lady at the bar also was great). They made my stay truly amazing!
Design and location were amazing.
Loved everything.
We spent three nights at the hotel in two visits, in two different rooms, during the Lucerne music festival. The best two things about this hotel were the superb design and the location. It was designed by the architect of the Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre (concert hall), and each room is an arty delight. It is compact, modern, luxurious and convenient, and the staff were helpful. The location is 5 minutes from the concert hall, the train station, and the major sights and galleries over the mediaeval bridge in the Old Town. The library square, in which the hotel is set, is charming and quiet, with an excellent restaurant, outdoors in the Summer, called Bellini.
We did not take breakfast in the hotel as it was ridiculously expensive. What a weak point for this otherwise excellent hotel.
Great boutique hotel. Amazing staff who are all very friendly and accommodating. Great location as well to centrally walk/bus/train anywhere.
We had a terrible experience at this hotel. Marriott should be embarrassed. When we checked in there was hair in the sink in our bathroom. Hotel needs lots of tlc, chipped paint everywhere. Air condition in our room was broken. Whenever we tried to run the unit the room was filled with humidity. We had to sleep with the window open and were subjected to street noise and bug bites. When we tried to get resolution the staff only could say they would try to fix it. Only redeeming points are location and breakfast. I am sure there are much nicer places to stay for the money, look elsewhere.
Nestled in a residential area it is a small hotel with big rooms & extremely pleasing staff. The surroundings are a bonus with an open garden like area ,a bustling cafe with open air seating and the best part is very close proximity to the Lucern station, markets, chapel bridge, boating lake & old town.It is also well connected with Trams & buses. The inside decor of rooms is interesting with romanting painted ceiling though the lighting around the entrance aŕea of room lacks adequate lighting. The bathroom is big with tub & double sink .The backside outside the bath had some plants which needed attention. The blinds are electronically controlled with a press of button. The housekeeping function was also efficiently performed by the ever smiling reception staff. There is a weekly market of used goods in the square around the hotel being set up by the locals.
We like the location it was very close to the center in front of a large park.
In no case is price related to quality. Unfriendly staff, difficulty in parking, very poor breakfast, lack of healthy food products, low ceiling room with no view We have been traveling for 30 years, we only stay in five star hotels, in no way does this represent a five star hotel!! John- Irene
We stayed at the hotel in August for 3 nights and occupied 2 room categories. The penthouse room was gorgeous, with the balcony/ terrace overlooking the city being the absolute highlight. This room was bright and spacious and well appointed. The other room was a suite as well on.level 5,, but was way darker in decor and lighting. This room too was spacious and well appointed. Service staff at the reception were very helpful and cheerful and made the stay that much more pleasant. Location is fabulous. With young kids, being this close to a park was an absolute winner. The train station, department store, restaurants, chapel bridge, boat cruises were all within a 5-15 minute relaxed walk distance.
We stayed at this hotel over a decade ago when it was a hip, independent boutique property. Sadly, its current incarnation under Marriott’s Autograph Collection is a shadow of its former self. The rooms are dated and poorly maintained: scuffed timber floors, tired furnishings, and old, frayed towels. One of the face towels we had looked like a rag. There was no minibar, the bathroom plugs didn’t work, and worst of all, the mattresses in two separate rooms we stayed in were both uncomfortably hard that made sleep nearly impossible. The breakfast was equally disappointing, with a sparse, uninspired spread—I was served the saddest-looking fried eggs I’ve ever seen. This is, at best, a three-and-a-half-star hotel and should not be marketed as an upscale property. While the service was warm and the location remains excellent, the hotel is long overdue for a complete refurbishment.
The hotel boasts a prime location, just a seven-minute walk from Lucerne train station, with a tranquil environment close to a park and stunning views out the window. This charming little hotel was where I chose to celebrate my 40th birthday during my trip to Switzerland, and it provided me with an incredible sense of relaxation. The room features a unique design and warm colour tones, along with my favourite L'Occitane toiletries. I would like to extend a special thanks to the friendly gentleman at the front desk; he was very thoughtful and I really appreciated his catchphrase, 'Perfect.' Breakfast is served in the basement and, while similar to that of the neighbouring Renaissance hotel, you can enjoy unlimited refills of smoked salmon and yoghurts among other light bites. Since the hotel has only a limited number of rooms, it wasn't overcrowded, ensuring a pleasant dining experience with attentive service. If I visit Switzerland again, I will certainly return to Lucerne, as this has been a truly special experience, which I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone reading this.
The hotel is a small, intimate property with around 30 rooms. Customer service was exceptional, even prior to arrival. Location: Convenient location, just steps from the train. Breakfast: The scrambled eggs were made with fresh cracked eggs—simple, classic, and well done. A tower was brought to the table, featuring cheese, smoked salmon, cold cuts, yogurt, and a mini Bircher muesli. I personally prefer to choose what items I want. I find this wasteful, as some of the items I did not choose to eat. There is also a self-serve section with breads, perfectly cooked and seasoned mushrooms, falafels, bacon, chicken sausage etc. I felt that these items added a unique and tasty touch. Upgrade due to status was appreciated. 4.5 experience but rounding up to 5.
The A/C wasn’t working, and it was very uncomfortable to sleep at night. We went to Pfistern for dinner, but they said they didn’t have any reservation for us, even though the hotel had assured us they called. Anyway, overall it was just an okay experience. The staff was friendly, though.
I booked a 3 nights stay at this hotel several months prior to my expected trip. A month prior to my expected arrival we received an email stating that there was something wrong with the credit card on file. I am a Titanium elite member with Marriott, this is the same card I have been using on all my trips with no previous problems and this was not a prepaid booking so I didn’t understand the email and called the hotel. I spoke to some one at front desk who checked and told me that there was nothing wrong with the reservation so I assumed every thing was OK. BUT, a week later I received another email informing me that due to the fact that I hadn’t responded there previous email and corrected my credit card, they had cancelled my reservation and were now sold out ! I emailed back quite astonished and got a rude response and eventually was left without a room! Calling the hotel did not help. I still have no idea what was the problem with my credit card and the true reason for cancelling my reservation . If this is their way of treating a Titanium member then I am sure taking my business elsewhere. Rude, unprofessional and not welcoming service.
Very modern property. Great front desk staff - very helpful and responsive. If it’s really hot the A/C is just average. But in most cases it should be fone
I cannot say enough nice things about the staff and the hotel. They literally did everything to help me. The front desk manager, her name escapes me, was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and they made sure my stay was enjoyable. The buffet breakfast was good and the rooms were nice and high tech. No wouldn’t think twice about staying here again. Thank you!
Great boutique Marriott property. The hotel is in a central location, a short walk away from the old town. There are great local shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel staff is warm, friendly and super helpful. They truly want your stay to be magnificent. They even lent us umbrellas one evening so we could walk to dinner. Our room was clean with a walk in shower and lots of natural light. We would stay here again!!
We traveled to Lucerne with our good friend to celebrate his 70th birthday. Everything about our week-long stay was truly wonderful from check-in to check-out. The front desk staff—Maura, Simeon, Florian, Giselle, Sophie—were all so pleasant and professional. Breakfast each morning in the restaurant was superb. Mazzi and Monica took excellent care of us with perfectly cooked eggs and omelettes. Both girls also have delightful personalities ☺️. The entire staff we encountered at The Hotel made us feel very welcome, and were quite helpful with dinner reservations and in recommending sights to see/places to go during our time there. Our room was beautiful, clean, quiet, and well-appointed. Can’t think of a single negative!
I hate to have to write a bad review, and I’d love to be able to give this property more stars as the staff were great, but we were disappointed with our stay. Pros: - location - Rooms were clean - we were upgraded and the suite was spacious (bathroom was nothing special). Cons: - The WiFi didn’t work. It would disconnect every 5 minutes and when it was connected it was slow. On top of that, cell service wasn’t great so using the internet wasn’t good. - the TV is not a Smart TV. There are no apps and only about 10 cable channels (3 news channels in English but nothing else). Much of the menu is disabled as well so switching the TV to English was a huge challenge. There is screen mirroring but our devices could never find the TV to connect (most likely because of the WiFi problem above). - the hotel was noisy. I chose this property over the Renaissance as I read the music was obnoxious at that hotel. Come to find out, this hotel also had a loud music problem the night we were there. I heard techno music for hours while trying to fall asleep.
A mixed bag of thoughts on this hotel so I’ll break it out by category: Location: 5 stars. Hotel is located in a spot that can’t be beat to visit Lucerne. Easily accessible during the day to come back and freshen up and on a quieter side street with many restaurants that feel more for locals than tourists. Loved the location and also very easy walk from train station and to old town. Like less than half a mile. Staff: 5 stars also for the staff who were very friendly and eager to help. Hotel amenities and common spaces: 2 stars. The hotel is a sister property of a renaissance down the street so the gym available is the gym in the renaissance. However, i think an autograph collection needs its own on site fitness situation. Additionally the lobby is nearly nonexistent with just 2 couches. Hallways are very brutalist style feeling with red walls. On site dining/bar: 2 stars. The breakfast was lovely and the staff there were very friendly. No complaints on breakfast. However the lounge/ bar as heavily advertised by Marriott for this site are kind of a fake out. The bar is always empty because it does not allow people who are not hotel guests to visit although it is beautiful and enticing from the outside and draws people in only to be told it’s only for guests. However if you’re a guest it feels awkward to go to the bar because the front desk staff have to make the drinks. There is no bartender and it is not a welcoming area. Room: 3 stars. We got a suite upgrade (we were happy they honored our Marriott titanium status and did this) but the suite was not a suite at all. It was just a larger room (normal sized for American standards.) It had a larger bathroom that included a tub but there was no separate seating area. Otherwise room was clean and maintained with ample storage and a refrigerator and coffee.
Excellent!
Our stay was incredible from start to finish. Front desk was extra helpful and granted us a status upgrade (Platinum - which doesn't always get me much). The suite was well-appointed, clean, with bedding that felt like a cloud. The biggest surprise was breakfast. The food was excellent, but what made it special was Mazzi, our daily breath of fresh air. She was warm but efficient. Her execution was perfect, even though she was running breakfast by herself most mornings. I hope she is well-taken-care-of. She's a star.
This is a lovely hotel in the best location. We were able to walk to and from the train station with all our luggage! While the hotel is set on a main, busy street, there is a side entrance that is quieter. The lobby is small and not much there but it is clean and the front desk staff was lovely. We had a suite but really it was just a smidge larger than your average room. It was nicely decorated and all clean. The hotel does not have true “air conditioning.” They have a cooling system but you can not control the temperature. Therefore our room was not a comfortable temperature. The windows did open but our neighbors were smoking and the smell kept coming in through the windows. The hotel is in a great location, right by the river and a quick walk to the shopping area and the chapel bridge. We did not have any meals at the hotel as we were surrounded by many other dining choices. This hotel was good for a short stay in Lucern. Due to the air conditioning issue I would not stay here again in the summer.
I booked a King or Twin room, but I'm a platinum member and also have upgrade certificates so I requested and was given a lovely upgrade to a large suite. Yay! All great--until I went to confirm I could have two separate beds (almost every king bed in Europe is just 2 twins and I'm traveling with a platonic friend so I didn'tthink this would be an issue). The hotel said I couldn't POSSIBLY have 2 beds unless I paid $130+ PER NIGHT for a rollaway. The rollaway that they have laying around that costs them nothing, particularly since I offered to set it up myself and wasn't trying to add a 3rd person (which is why I'm guessing there's a charge in the first place). Instead of this solution, they downgraded me to a basic Twin room that is tiny and dark and dingy (peeling paint etc) with a ton of street noise. This trip is to celebrate my friend's work accomplishment and I'm EMBARRASSED to bring her to this property, which is in a worse area than the other reservation I booked. I typically choose Marriott because they treat me well (especially now that I'm a platinum member), but I'm seriously questioning that now! It's been just the opposite here. And aside from all that, it's a bad room in a bad location. I wish Id kept my original reservation but of course they wouldn't let me cancel without charging a boatload. Save yourself a headache and book somewhere else when visiting Lucerne!!
This hotel was amazing. It was very clean. More than that the service we received was exemplary. We hadn’t booked parking as we thought it would be available. The staff made extra effort to find parking with their sister hotel. Even did valet service for us by, as we found out at checkout, the GM Marc himself! What a wonderful hotel! I would recommend to any family members traveling to Switzerland.
If it was possible, I would like to give 0 stars or minus stars, the check in experience was one of the most humiliating experience I ever had. As Titanium member (and Lifetime Platinum member) in Marriott Bonvoy, trust me I have been in many Marriott Group Facility. I used one of the award upgrade to suite room , and get a penthouse suite where we can be three persons, therefore I bring our teenage daughter together in the trip. For 10+ years, Marriott Group hotel has treat us as value members and welcome her despite the booking is not matched. NONE of the Marriott Group hotel has ever charged us extra or even force me to sign a penalty fee ticket for extra person. I was completely disappointed and shocked. The worst is when I feedback it to the hotel, no sign of regret or improvement was found. We just stayed in Renaissance Zürich Tower Hotel, the service and attitude is impeccable, they even told us that she will let hotel that is with a teenage daughter and they take care of the rest. It is very pity, with a better management and team that can handle and treat loyal members, this facility can be a real gem in Luzern. Now it just looks good outside with awful service. Avoid it if you don’t mind to be humiliated.
This boutique hotel was in a great location across from a park, but close to Old Town Lucerne and to many good restaurants. The staff were all great, especially Simon, who was at the front desk. Our room was very large, on the corner and had a great view of the park. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was nice and had all the amenities one needs. Breakfast was a nice selection and we ate well everyday. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!
Never go here. Karina is a heartless business operator. As I explained that we need to checkout because we had a hurricane in the Southeast US and I need to go home - she said "maybe a hurricane, but everyone has issues, and we cannot help you" . I was shocked by her response and had to ask her to repeat it and explained again actually happened. Stunning lack of empathy. I stayed over 600 nights in Marriott hotels - this was a first time experience with a GM who lacks any sort of customer service and hospitality... Find another place to go on your travels
It’s not a hotel, it’s more like a bed and breakfast without the breakfast. The horror story starts from the poor signage;you might be standing right in front of the hotel, but you will miss it. The flag only says The Hotel and you can’t see the autograph collection anywhere. The bar is non functional, there is no lobby worth the name and the breakfast avoidable. No kitchen is working. So much so, during the rains, they’re rushing out of umbrellas as they only have around 8 of them A highly avoidable hotel
It was a very appeasing, relaxing and classy experience at this hotel…. To elaborate, my experience started from the moment i called the front desk even before landing in Zurich to have the “Romantic Moments” package added to my booking…. The response and handling of all my queries told me good vibes already!! We were welcomed with patience and warm cup of coffee while we reached early before our check in times….. We were well taken care of, and guided about the city with accurate maps and verbal city route directions…. Also the restaurant staff was very very accommodating and swift in preparing alternatives which were purely vegetarian ( eggless) during our complimentary breakfast visits!! We offer our heartfelt gratitude to all the below mentioned staff…. Front Desk Manager – Mara Mani Front Desk: Simon, Florian, Colin, Timon, Gissel Breakfast Team: Mazi, Anna, Pemika Housekeeping: Maria, Natalia, Lorena, Ceila Oh yeah, the hotel indeed is at a very approachable distance from Luzerne HB ( city center ) and Lake Lucerne and quite well connected by busses and walkways….
The hotel is in a great quiet location within walking distance to transportation and all the things you’d want to see. The front desk staff were all super nice and helpful. One of them got us a reservation at a very good Italian restaurant last minute on a Saturday night. We got upgraded to a suite which was nice, but the room was not a comfortable stay. The walls and floors are black and dark red. There’s very little lighting in the room. Even during the day, I found the room very dark. At night, it was impossible to see. There’s no light in the closet nor near it. I was digging around in there with my phone flashlight. The night lights near the bed are very dim. The shower stall is very tight for a suite. It generally felt like a very sterile, cold, and dark room. I see that the other rooms in the hotel are different. The one that we got was just uncomfortable to stay in. The window also faces a loud bar at night.
Hotel has an excellent location - 5 minutes away from the railway, bus and lake boat stations in one direction and from the old town in the other. The young staff are charming and helpful. Breakfast was OK.
No bar or restaurant on site (this is not clear on either the Booking.com website or the hotel's own website). The hotel has only one small lift which is shared between staff and guests. The lift down to the breakfast room arrives in the kitchen. The hotel is dark and rather ugly - a very modern design which is a triumph of style over comfort! This is not a 5 star hotel.
Service by staff was impeccable but no hot water for a full day so couldn’t shower after full day of activity and felt grimey so I have mixed feelings about this hotel.
Friendly staff, all very capable of speaking English
Expensive for the value received. Dark corridors in black and red, looking more as a red district hotel
Loved the proximity to the train, downtown, and the park with a wonderful playground. The blinds were amazing for the first night after international travel/jetlag. The vibe was eclectic and unique and the staff were incredible. Lovely experience - absolutely recommend.
The location, the staff and the cleanliness
The breakfast was awful, really poor Dinner was just ok, Margherita was just drinkable
Location not bad
No aircon, no carpet, poor breakfast spread
The location is extremely convenient to the train station, which is a short block away, and also old town, which is the most popular and picturesque part of Lucerne. The hotel is very sleek and modern and decorated in a hip, edgy style; with murals on the ceilings in the rooms, large , very functional bathrooms with excellent lighting and water pressure and large windows with double glazing to help keep the noise out. The suite was large and spacious, however I have also stayed in a smaller, standard room which I liked just as much. The staff is warm, welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. There is a superb restaurant and quiet evocative bar on location as well.
location
decoration and breakfast
all great
Property and room was beautiful. We had wanted to extend our stay and had to make second booking for a different room. The general manager, Martin, noted this and reached out and managed to arrange for us combine both bookings and stay in the same room for both days. This made it a lot more convenient as we didn't have to deal with two different bookings on each day. Love the attention to detail by the staff.

The hotels is a very nice hotel in prime location. However, I have to state both positive and negative aspects. Positives: Great location Friendly staff Room with a design. Negatives: Small room size. No place to sit in the room except the bed and one chair. Very dark room. Airplane bathroom. No lobby except the desk of the reception. The hallways between rooms are less than 1 meter wide which makes them very unpleasant place to walk.
The staff gave us suggestions for places to tour while in the area. Then unexpectedly, my wife had a medical emergency and was admitted to the hospital. The staff assisted me with taxi transportation, and because my reservation ended, and there were no more rooms available, they arranged for me to move to a lovely nearby hotel, moving my luggage for me. Amid all of this they did not forget to inquire about how my wife was feeling and they also gave me a much-needed umbrella late at night.
The staff are amazing they are friendly and very helpful.
It was a good stay. Location is good. Less lights but that is their concept. Rooms are. Or child friendly.

Waren rundum zufrieden.
Great stay in our way back to Zurich. Contemporary hotel.
Very close to Lucern main station and need to walk 20 mins to old town. Overall quite comfortable esp the bed. Not a cosy room but quite modern and stylish.
Quiet area near a park. Service was efficient and friendly.
very special designed but not for comfortable stay with colors.
Lovely rooms! Centrally located, quiet, nice staff, and stylish design.
Great location a few blocks away from the train station overlooking a park.
Tired and Dark. The staff are amazing, and the location great. The hotel needs a refresh, and the rooms are certainly not 4 or 4 star.
Property location and access to town as walking distance was great. The ceiling "exotic" picture made it feel like not a respectful place.
Great Location. the hotel is small but cute. The staff was helpful in providing recommendations.
not as expected
I thought the hotel was too dark, but the staff was super friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and quiet! Large rooms too.
Well, it is a differently designed (dark with very dim lighting all around) hotel, which only can be understood in the night time when those back lighted posters on ceilings, walls or headboards glow otherwise in its a dark place even in day.The room was all wood floor, use of stainless steel decently in furniture along with wood was nice too. But the hallways and outside the rooms seemed as if they are in a 1 star hotel and not understandable. Although it is differently designed hotel but does not confirm to a Five Star status, but a “slapped” cheap and dark minimalistic design. The staff is super professional, polite and friendly. Room service and presentation is excellent. Location is very close to everything happening.
I went out one day and returned about 9 pm and found that my room has not been cleaned , I asked if the room could be cleaned and was told that there is no cleaner at that time . I was told that the non disturbed sign was on but I had no idea that the light was on. There was a bottle of complimentary water when I checked in and I asked why there wasn’t one for the 2nd day and was told that’s I only get one bottle for the entire of my stay at the hotel regardless how many nights I would stay at the property. I was woken up at 7 am by lots construction noises and I called hotel.com customer service to complain about the noise at the property . Hotel.com contacted the property for me and said the hotel manager would like to speak to me regarding my complain about the noise to see if he can make some sort of compensation to me. When I checked out I asked if the manger wants to talk to me regarding the noise issue I had. I was told to walk to another of their sister hotel to wait there to see if the manager has the time to talk to me. I said I never heard that if I have a prob with a hotel I need to track down their manger and wait fo be seen my him esp in a 5 Star hotel. The receptionist told me that they are not a 5 Star hotel.
