Cuando llegue muy mal recepción ya que me hicieron esperar aún cuando no había gente y además me mencionaron que mi reservación no estaba y tuvieron que hablar con el encargado así que esperamos otros 15 min . Las sábanas sucias, manchadas. Mal servicio .

La ubicación del hotel es extraordinaria, está en una zona protegida y hay mucho que explorar, la comida esta muy buena, el servicio extraordinario.

Tubimos que cambiar de habitación porque la primera que nos asignaron, el aire acondicionado hacia mucho ruido, el frigobar no enfria muy bien, tienen una zona de playa y todos los camastros estaban rotos e inservibles, falta información de las diferentes actividades en el hotel, nos entregaron una hoja con los restaurantes, comidas, pero sin horarios, tubimos que andar preguntando, en general la ubicación, la comida y el servicio muy bien, algunas instalaciones pueden mejorar.

La comida, la atención, la tranquilidad, la playa, el lugar muy bonito.

En las comidas no había tostadas al comer ceviches o aguachiles, es lo único.

The oceanview and hotel bar Sergio (checo) amde it an exceptional experience.

I did not like that the pool bar closes at 6:00pm and that the hotel bar is extremely far from the pool. Also, bartender at the pool need more training in how to prepare drinks and improve customer service. I experience a few of the pool bar staff rude and the bar pool area was often dirty. For example, a few of the of the pool bar staff never acknowledge me while waiting to order my drinks. Once I requested for a drink he said they did not carry the specific drink I asked for, but then my husband without knowing I had requested the exact same drink to tee same worker he prepared his drink. Once my husband tried the drink it6 tasted awful, I am not sure why would the same worker tell me they don't carry that drink but then say yes to my husband and make it wrong.

Lo unico que agregaria serian mas camastros en la playa y una alberca adicional, en temporada alta es dificil encontrar lugar para poner tus cosas.

El lugar es bonito pero las instalaciones necesitan actualización. No.hay wifi, la.tele es pequeña y anticuada y el aire acondicionado nunca enfrió adecuadamente.

Stayed here a weekend with my wife and two girls. We had a blast! The pools are awesome, the kids loved it, the food was great. We had to take a boat taxi to the other side of the lagoon to get to Barra and that was a cool experience. Wonderful small village with shops and restaurants. Great little surf beach there as well. Highly recommended!

No es que sea sucio el hotel, solo son instalaciones viejas, a lo mejor con una renovacion de mobiliario pero respetando el estilo quedaria genial.

The beach was private, relaxing and nothing disturbed the peace.

Our room was spacious and had a great balcony, which we used to dry out our clothes from playing tennis on the three courts.

I hate to mention it, but the pool sides probably could stand more cleaning. The temperature was great and we enjoyed using the pool and slides.

Grand Isla Navidad is an older resort - our last visit was almost 10 years ago. We have always wanted to come back. Tennis is most important to us and we enjoyed the three courts here early in the day. We were here during the violence that occurred following the death of a cartel leader. The Reception staff were great about communicating what we could do or not (no trips to Barra or to Melaque). We used Room Service once, food arrived warm and on time; laundry twice - returned same day at reasonable price. Shrimp quesadillas at pool side were great, Antonio's beef medallion and the shrimp Caesar salad at the Cafe were among some of our favorites. Our Parlour Suite was spacious, with mini fridge which we kept mostly stocked with water, balcony was used to dry out our clothes from pool, humidity or tennis. Can't say enough about the staff as they are extremely professional and helpful.

We had our wedding and it was absolutely perfect. Armando was the best,he made our special day truly unforgettable. Everything was beautifully organized, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much for making our wedding so amazing!

Todo bien. El personal de meseros muy entretenidos en dejar listo el servicio para el siguiente turno y descuidan la atención al comensal. Ese sonido de trastos por mas de una hora cada dia.

me encanto la comida, el personal es extremadamente atento, el area de albercas esta super padre y familiar, eso me gusto mucho, la playa tambien me encanto, la comida super super deliciosa.

siento que les falta fumigación, se nos metieron por la noche unas chinches de las negras que parecen cucarachas al cuarto, muy atentos nos cambiaron de cuarto pero ya no tuvimos ni frigobar y las lamparas las tuviero que ir arreglar porque no prendian, creo pudieron revisar alntes de entregarlo, el primer dia que llegamos la habitacion nos la entregaron hasta las 4 pm cuando debio ser 3pm, el problema del que se le de mantenimiento al hotel es cuando ya llegas a tu habitacion se ven paredes humedas agua callendo hasta con lama, mucas chinches chiquitas pero por el habitad pero si fumigaran no pasara esto yo he ido a hoteles pero de boscosos y super fumigados, el hotel ya de cerca se ve que esta muy viejito si le dieran mantenimiento no pasara esto y fumigacion, me poesa no volver pero la verdad muy dificil volveria.

La habitación fue muy cómoda limpia y el silencio nos agrado En la regadera hay suficiente presión y sale bien caliente el agua . Excelente! Sin embargo la tina en el baño estaba con moho y el agua salio miy sucia. No pudimos usarla y tampoco abrir para q se tirara el agua. (Habitación 807) Ya que fuimos a descansar, las áreas verdes dan mucha calidez y relajación en el hotel. Los jardines estan muy bien cuidados y muy limpio las áreas comunes y playa. Las amacas son lo mejor para relajar. La playa nos tocó el agua un tanto sucia. Debido a la misma naturaleza haciendo su función. Y eso hizo q no pudiéramos entrar al mar. En el bufete de alimentos es poca comida y poca variedad la que ponen y observamos qué pronto se terminaban los platillos y ya no surten de nuevo. En el sabor le ponemos satisfechos. En especial nos encanto y le damos un cien es el restaurante Antonios la comida excelente, los anfitriones muy amables y atentos pasamos una velada calida e increíble. Hermosos los detalles vela rosa copas excelente!! Nos gustó mucho el poder cruzar al pueblo en las lanchas . Es una bonita experiencia. Nos encanto los músicos. Son fabulosos nuestras felicitaciones cantan hermoso!!!

Los elevadores fue lo que nos incomodo y frusto, porque hay varios sin embargo todos llegan a diferentes pisos. O no funcionan. Y si es la primera vez q vas a ese hotel parace un laberinto tanto para encontrar el elevador indicado como para buscar cual te lleva a tu piso, al lobby, a las albercas etc tal fue nuestro caso. Y al llegar no te explican que se deben usar varios elevadores . Al final te acostumbras y seguro la próxima visita nos hira mejor en cuanto a esto. Ya q no nos implica el no poder regresar por esto.

En tres noches que estuve tuve que reportar problemas con drenaje 4 veces. El escusado tapado y después el agua de la bañera y regadera salia por la rejilla de servicio bajo el lavamanos Fueron a atender de manera pronta, pero si es molesto que el drenaje de tu habitación no funcione. Parece que los pisos 2 y el 8 tienen problemas de humedad en los pasillos por tema de instalación del aire acondicionado y gotea

Sehr chilliges Hotel mit viel Natur und Ruhe drumherum. Sehr großer Pool, große Anlage. Große Zimmer mit recht guten Betten. Frühstück für mexikanische Verhältnisse ein Pluspunkt, gute Auswahl und sehr Reichhaltig. Mit dem Boot kommt man auf die andere Seite zu den Restaurants und Bars des Ortes. Personal sehr aufmerksam und Freundlich. Gerne wieder

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, muss in allen Bereichen dringend renoviert werden. Denoch wird versucht es sauber und ordentlich zu halten.

Staff treats guests poorly. Everyone was in a bad mood, incluiding Lobby girls, restaurant staff and barmen. Bellboys were decent, but everyone else weren’t. The room had a weird smell and the building desperately needs manteinance. Barmen say rude comments and make you wait a lot when you ask for drinks. Too overpriced for what you get. Views are the only great thing. They label themselves as a “Resort” so that’s what we were expecting and instead got highly dissapointed.

Lovely location, characterful historical-looking buildings in a great colonial style, ample room/suites. Stunning view & smooth boat transit to cross over the water to visit the center of Barra (boat runs 24/7)

It didn’t bother me, but maintenance of such a property costs a lot. I understand it’s hard to maintain, but I agree some parts could be touched up.

The hotel has fallen in a terrible lack of maintenance, everything feels left to disgrace. Weeds growing without control, halls, rooms, amenities, there wasn’t a single chair at the beach working, all of them were broken. The staff feels old, without the manners of a proper restaurant. This place must die with this administration, so it can be taken with a new one, maybe sell the hotel and golf course. It is complete rubbish.

The property was beautiful all the way around. My nephew had his wedding there and staff did an amazing job.

It was a wedding, so we made it happen. This place needs some TLC. It’s sad because it’s so beautiful tucked away in its on island. The owners family really need to put money into it to upkeep it. Stuck in the 90s. AC works amazing.

The wet/mold smell. It just needs to be kept up. Buffet needs more variety. Pool bar does not open till 11am.

The place was awesome, but it needs some TLC. The Staff was great and so was the breakfast buffet. The marina looked kept up. The views were amazing! The golf course looked kept up as well. Just a little sketchy getting there though.

The place needs some TLC! Painting, electrical, dock maintenance, but there is quite a bit of TLC that is needed. Saw a lot of electrical that needs to be taken care of. Also saw a lot of painting needed.

Literal TODO!! El personal excedió las expectativas! Tenían un Si como respuesta. RENATO tiene gran espíritu de servicio! Sus instalaciones de ensueño, la habitación muy amplia y las vistas ex emocionales. En el restaurante la comida deliciosa y bien servida. Mucha flexibilidad en horarios y sobre todo su actitud! Mención honorífica!!!

Es que No hubo un "pero" emEs de los pocos lugares en los que todo estuvo como lo soñamos!!

No es la primera vez que me hospedo, soy golfista y el hotel tiene un campo de golf, que como el mismo hotel, pudiera estar en mejores condiciones sin embargo le falta mucho mantenimiento, los pasillos del hotel con mucha humedad, goteras, charcos, las llaves del baño goteando, la taza del baño manchada de tan vieja que es, el agua de la tina no podia irse de una por que se inundaba el baño, en fin, es una lastima que teniendo tanto potencial como hotel, este tan descuidado/deteriorado.

Love it friendly staff

The room was clean with an excelent bed, the service in all areas very good and the food is very good; but there are areas that really need maintenance such as the sand at the beach, the furniture at the beach and around the pool; there are leaks in the showers, the buildings need painting, etc etc. Even though my stay was nice and could enjoy and rest.

The food was excellent except for Antonios restaurant which was very overpriced. Small portions and aside from dessert it wasnt worth it. Disappointing actually but the rest of the restaurants and food options like breakfast was fabulous and the dinners were also very good at the main restaurant. Mexican style lunches and food were superb.

The overall maintenance of pools and common areas were lacking.. Lounge chairs need to be cleaned and there was almost non existent service by the pool. Today was day 3 poolside and finally we were asked by our lounges if wed like.some drinks.

Originally built as a five star resort, but showing its age a bit. It is still elegant and I highly recommend it. Most rooms are in very good condition, with only minor maintenance issues. The pools and landscaping are beautiful and well maintained. Service is excellent in all departments.

Property is huge and has alot of activities fishing ,water activities outside of the property, Golfing the road to get there from the main street is horrible. Has 3 restaurant options limited hours and limited options. Beautiful property but it has its years and has some things that were not working in my room. Great place to not wonder if you want to wander around not recommended has 2 pools . Great for a family .
