La posizione e i servizi
Molto moderno
Everything was great: the staff was excellent at the check in desk, as well as at the restaurant. Would definitely be happy to stay here again if I had the budget.
Beautiful property and location is great

Location to downtown and to via rail station
Very small room. Lack of space for my walker. Garish and ugly wall paper above bed. Black painted wall. Carpeted floor. Bed frames stuck out past the mattress, and I bumped my leg several times on the corners and ended up with bruises on my legs. Only one area for a suitcase. No refrigerator for personal food. Weird restaurants and store in the lobby. So confusing. Dark dismal swimming pool area... no windows.
Location in the city Shuttle to tennis tournament Excellent breakfast Comfortable beds and bedding Staff couldn’t do more for you
Our room was right next to the elevators and I could hear them going up and down all the time we were in our room. I didn’t realize what the sound was until I was outside the room and heard the elevator. Next time I would request a room away from elevator and/or ask where the room is located.
Great location
Hair from previous tenant found in both bed and shower
After the first night (Thursday), Housekeeping didn’t seem to come around in the evening. We would’ve appreciated fresh ice and fresh water. Also would’ve appreciated having the dirty glasses taken away instead of left in the room.

I booked several months ago as we stayed at this facility last year and loved it. This year when checking in I was asked if a king bed was ok, but I booked 2 doubles, they were able to accommodate but I felt as though the room was a spare. cracks in the wall, water damage on the ceiling above us, and the shower was terribly hard to open, we stayed in 1675. We stayed last year and loved the Fairmont so much we rebooked for this year with no question. I was extremely disappointed in the room this year and may have to look into other options for our visit next year.
The property is good clean and elegant.
The room was too small for 2 bedrooms as it is a 5 star hotel and also there no personal fridge inside the room. There is a fridge but you need to pay whats inside. Another thing is when you enter the room it’s smell bad also the pillow smells old sweat I didn’t sleep on the first night then the following day I asked the housekeeper to change it. I'm not expecting it in a 5-star hotel never again.
Very small room with small bathroom, toilet was wobbly. Carpets and bed were old and not clean

From the moment we arrived at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, we felt incredibly welcomed. Walking into our room to find a beautiful platter of fresh fruit and cheese waiting for us was such a thoughtful touch and immediately made us feel at home. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the complimentary breakfast at Rosélys. After spending our days exploring Montreal on foot, the spa became our favorite place to unwind. Relaxing in the hot tub and indoor pool was exactly what we needed after walking all over the city. The location was perfect. We could easily walk to charming shops, beautiful churches, and public transportation, making it simple to experience everything Montreal has to offer. What truly made this hotel unforgettable, though, was the people. Every single employee we encountered treated us like royalty. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made us feel cared for throughout our entire stay. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to returning. We would stay at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth again in a heartbeat!

For us perfect location. Beautiful spacious room, well appointed
My family has stayed at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth many times over the years, and despite a few bumps during this visit, it remains our preferred hotel in Montreal. The location is outstanding. Being connected to Central Station and the Underground City makes it incredibly convenient, and many of Montreal's attractions are within walking distance. It's hard to find a better home base for exploring the city. Check-in was mostly smooth. We had reserved two connecting rooms—a suite and a connecting king room—but initially discovered they had been assigned as non-connecting rooms. The front desk corrected that within about 10 minutes. Since we arrived around 2:30 p.m., only the king room was ready, which was understandable given the 4:00 p.m. check-in time. The suite became available right at 4:00. Unfortunately, we then ran into a frustrating issue with the key cards for the shared connecting door between the two rooms. This should have been a simple fix, but it turned into nearly an hour of being sent back and forth between the front desk, guest services, maintenance, and ultimately security before someone finally resolved the problem. Everyone we dealt with was polite, but there seemed to be very little communication between departments, and a relatively minor issue ended up taking far more time than it should have. At a hotel of this caliber, I expected a smoother resolution. Once that was behind us, however, the rest of the stay was excellent. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and housekeeping was consistently friendly and thorough throughout our visit. I particularly liked the mattress on the king size bed, I thought it was one of the more comfortable hotel beds I've ever stayed in. We dined at Rosélys several times, which I've reviewed separately. We also ordered room service one evening. While the desserts were excellent, the Caesar salad had an off flavor and the chicken was rubbery, making the meal disappointing for the price. The pool was warm and clean, and the locker rooms were spotless and well stocked. The hotel was quite busy during our stay, so the elevators could be crowded and occasionally required a wait, but that's understandable for a popular downtown hotel. Overall, this continues to be our favorite place to stay in Montreal. The hotel offers an unbeatable location, comfortable accommodations, and a welcoming atmosphere. While there are still some inconsistencies in service and communication that keep it from feeling like a true five-star experience, we had an enjoyable stay and will happily return on future visits.
Location
Hotel dirty, very run down, staff unpolite. Breakfast very limited. Toasters not working. Tea cups dirty and chipped. Fruit flies all over food
Rooms and carpet stale smellingJunior suite Closets have space for 6 hangers if that. Overall unimpressive but convenient.
We took the train into the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth from Ottawa and it couldn’t have been easier! The train comes into the bottom of the hotel and after an easy escalator ride up, you’re greeted with doors into the lobby. This hotel serves a massive amount of guests but does so in a way that cares about the guests and makes sure that you are greeted with a smile and any help you may need. Check in was easy and our suite was modern and perfect for my husband, myself and our two daughters. The room itself was quiet and we all slept really well. We utilized the market area down in the main lobby and also the restaurant on site. Rafael our waiter was amazing and made sure to deal with my food allergies in a kind and careful manner. We had a later flight out and were granted a late check out which was very appreciated. This hotel was a true Fairmont experience that we enjoyed thoroughly. When we come back to Montreal we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Easy check in. Room was ready early. Close to everything downtown.
comfy and clean
I was genuinely looking forward to staying here, primarily driven by an appreciation for the hotel's history. Opening in 1958 as a masterpiece of the International Style, it was famously one of the first hotels in North America to feature escalators. It has an undeniable architectural and cultural legacy. Regrettably that mid-century modernist charm quickly gave way to the realities of a massive, 900-room convention hotel. My stay was largely defined by queues: lining up at the reception desk to check in and lining up for breakfast (irrespectively of the time). The staff were perfectly pleasant, but they were clearly overrun by the sheer volume of guests. The physical space itself didn't help. The 1950s architecture leans heavily toward a darker, almost claustrophobic interior feel, compounded by small windows in the rooms that let in very little natural light. As an Accor Platinum member, the experience felt particularly half-hearted. While I wasn't expecting a bouquets of flowers or lounge access, the token offering of a few stale pastries felt rather lame given the price point. The suite itself was overpriced for the value delivered, with very little return on loyalty. An underwhelming stay where a rich history is unfortunately overshadowed by crowd-management issues and a lack of premium execution.
We booked thru Amex Platinum and got the benefits associated with that. We had updated gold rooms which meant check in and access to the lounge. Rooms were very spacious and well appointed. So were the bathrooms. The lounge was spacious and the servings were good. Loved the Latte machines. On the negative side, the alcohol (honor bar) was so overpriced. A beer was $14! Nuts. Most of the staff was nice. The servers were mostly great. At the restaurant, Roselyn, we had a delightful Mexican bartender. Apart from him, a nasty hostess and snooty waiter. I actually walked out of there the one day because I did not expected to be treated like that and didn’t have the energy to push back. We ate at the 3rd floor outside bar and had the most delightful server, Nadia, so it’s clearly hit and miss at this hotel. The lobby of the hotel looks dated - a 70s vibe, not in a great way. The location is superb - quick walk to St Katherine’s and Old Town. We loved the City. The walking food tour and the vintage Cadillac tour were both excellent
Good location
Clean
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room had a beautiful view to Mont Royql.
It’s unfortunate that a massive summer storm caused a power outage throughout the hotel.
Exceptional service at an exceptional hotel! Perfectly located within the city, and maintained impeccably. Jakob C on the Gold floor was helpful from check in, to helping with forgotten items, and everything in between.
Hotel was recently renovated few years back, stayed after the strikes the labour union had.. as a result it is very posh modern now and less grandeur unlike the older CP Hotels / other fairmont properties in Canada and how it use to look. Much needed refresh that still looks great! The front desk team were friendly and it is still a very busy front desk and lobby area. The process was fairly quick. The hotel is conveniently located above the VIA rail Transit system and close by to the international airport (22 min drive by taxi). The common areas are clean, modern and spacious. It took a long wait for an elevator to arrive as the hotel was very busy during the Montreal pride and jazz/ music festivities - as a result, very full occupancy and many guests using the elevators. The room was a good sized corner room with great views of the city and basilica adjacent to the hotel. Comfort in bedding, plush mattress and crisp white linens. Le labo “Rose” amenities that you expect at every Fairmont - leaves you feeling fresh. Bath robes in bathroom.. The room had dirty torn towels that seemed to be left over accidentally by housekeeping in the far right corner of the window sill. Overall - the hotel is well appointed, central and a great choice when staying in DWTN Montreal!
Loved the facility and service. Super nice people
Comfortable, clean room. Nice outdoor bar. Close to rail station.
It was very busy.
Excellent property in a fantastic location. We arrived and left via train, the station is underground beneath the hotel, lending welcome convenience to the trip. The area has many restaurants and attractions including the famous basilica across the street. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained and the staff were wonderful to interact with.
Right in the heart of Montreal and very convenient for everything to do.
I think it is a little overpriced
Arrived in Montreal by train but missed the lift directly to the hotel, would have been so handy 🤦♀️ From check in our experience was very good, staff were all friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean and fresh, only (slight) downside was sound from bars but that ended about 10pm. The club lounge was very comfortable, food was good and service excellent. Would definitely return if in the area. Ideally located for exploring.
Beautiful hotel with great service in both French and English. Excellent amenities. Clean rooms and friendly housekeeping. Perfect location to explore. It is even part of the underground city which connects to so much shopping, restaurants and more.
Clean and comfortable. Great location near to Old Town. Excellent swimming pool area.
Completely understand but a little disappointed that we weren't allowed a little peek inside John & Yoko's room. It was just a flat 'No'. Also, a little impersonal and conference-centre-ish.
Stayed here for two nights in on a work trip because my work meetings was right across the street. The hotel is fine. It’s a historic Fairmont property. My room was quite small, but was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was surprised that they didn’t replenish the tea the second day after I used some. When I checked in there was only one desk working and it took a while to get my room key. The hotel is popular with bus tours. The hotel is fine but it’s not cheap. For the price it could have been a bit more luxurious.
Very comfortable spacious rooms with view across the city. Good location for business district. Excellent breakfast
No robes in the room, had to be requested
Location Clean spacious suite Good for dogs!

Location is great
Room felt cramped
While the room was small, it was clean and comfortable. Staff cleaned the room every day and were very friendly. The front desk staff were helpful and very friendly.
While the location was stellar, the price was somewhat expensive.
The hotel is in a great location and has some good facilities.
Although it is a good hotel it didn’t feel like a Fairmont. It’s just too big to feel special. The bar on the third floor terrace was not good. Music too loud and indifferent service. Also, not open on a Sunday or Monday! The gym is well equipped and the rooms are comfortable. It’s a clean hotel but I was expecting something like the Fairmont in DC, which is excellent.
L’emplacement
Staff was friendly and accommodating, location was great for walking, rooms were clean and comfortable
A "Deluxe View 1 King" was booked. The Fairmont is at the level of a motel. My room was changed to an inner "upgraded" room - no deluxe view no corner windows. The front desk gave me the wrong room; returned to desk with luggage and reassigned another room. The decor, dark slate navy blue black walls with black carpeting is oppressive. The waiter at Roselys would not honour my breakfast package and told me to "go upstairs". I refused to leave and waited over 10 minutes to place an order. On the second night, the Place Ville Marie night club fired up with noise levels exceeding 90dBa - hearing loss - making sleep impossible. The front desk wanted to move me - in the middle of the night. Fed up, I left the hotel. My rates at CAD$713 plus taxes do not justify this deplorable treatment and service. Management does not respect sleeping and eating rights for Fairmont guests. Having stayed at numerous Fairmonts - Sonoma, Boston, Vancouver, etc., the QE is a deplorable hotel in need of a major review of management and decor. The windows are not soundproof - highly unusual given the nightclub that echoes all night long in Place Ville Marie. Other options at a better price and service include the Omni on Sherbrooke Street or the Four Seasons or Ritz for the upscale travellers.
This was the worse place I’ve ever stayed in Montreal and can not believe how terrible everything was, the housekeeper walked in on us while we were sleeping at 8 in the morning, there was no fridge in the room except the one stocked with there drinks that were way overpriced and we were not allowed to put our own drinks in it, room was extremely small with no view at all. When the valet when you get our car the alarm had been going off all night and battery was dead. Room was not ready til 4:30 and then after waiting another half hour for the elevator our keys didn’t work so another half hour til that was sorted out. All this for 700 a night

Non
Amazing location.
Always stay at the fairmont when we come - but this time the Elevators down all weekend on one of the busiest weekends of the year… escalators also down… felt a little chaotic!
This hotel had a fantastic buffet breakfast, but now it's a menu order and it's horrible, very poor quality, very poor quantity witch I would advise to not come to this hotel , low standards now compared with what it was .. Stay away, my advise ..
From check in to check out excellent service. Pascal checked us in and was informative & thorough. The staff at breakfast in Roselys were very welcoming & friendly. We had a King room with a view of the city and Montreal circle- - wow! The room was more European size (smaller than US), but very well laid out and linens/bed comfy and very clean. The only negative is the size of the shower, BUT only if you are over 6'4" and heavier then I might ask about getting a room with a larger shower. Great gym with staff person available and nice pool & hot tub. Loved the location. Train directly below, walked to Mount Royal (good work out r/t) and Old Town. The whole experience did feel like everyone went out of their way to be welcoming and friendly. Lovely hotel.
Location
Charges your card only if you lift any item in the minibar, no room in the bridge for anything else than their over priced products. I was expecting a luxury experience, could not be farther, no welcome kit, nothing that justifies the huge price. Valet parking very slow, elevators always packed. We will not be back.
The room was perfect. Comfortable bed, great view, clean and well equipped.
The swimming pool is too small for swimming.
The good - Walkable location to old city. Valet were very courteous. The bad - Up-nosed staff is sprinkled through out housekeeping. Service is snail slow and on top of it housekeeping staff shows arrogance. The overpriced rooms ($700+) don't even offer breakfast. I can go on, but I am still waiting for my shaving kit that I requested 45 minutes ago and I will need to go to nearby store to buy it...
Wonderful Hotel! Conveniently located and a short walk to old Montreal. Shops and restaurants close by. Under Hotel is a underground network of shops, restaurants and the Central train station. Hotel restaurant was excellent including coffee and sandwich shops. Staff super friendly. Rooms very clean and beds extremely comfortable! Very impressed with this hotel and I would definitely stay there again!

Great location with easy access to the underground city, cafes, and shopping areas.
The suite itself was spacious, but both bathrooms were extremely small. One bathroom also had a non-functioning shower sink, which made it inconvenient and reduced its usability.
Positive: - WLAN was working well. - They put a fridge in the room after asking for it. Negatives: - I had a room with 2 rooms. Heating was not working in the first one (but at least in the sleeping room). The next day, I asked if they could fix it. They said they will try and come back to me if it does not work. They never came back to me, and it continued not to work till the end of my stay. - Lightning in the room is suboptimal. If you have a suite, you would hope that you have adequate lighting at the desk. Funny thing, there is a very good ceiling light at the entrance. - I asked for a late checkout (2 hours) very early on the day of departure (and the day before, but they told me to ask on the next day). After the service desk asked the supervisor, I was told it wasn't possible because too many people were coming in. I checked online and I was able to book 3 rooms of the same(!) category and all sorts of other rooms. I also asked what they could offer, but they couldn't offer 30 minutes.

The property was in an amazing location Unfortunately, I arrived just before 11PM and waited at least 40 min to.be checked in. There were no food options at the time and I was very hungry. The price was more than 2x what I had hoped to spend for such a brief stay but the staff was LOVELY… every single staff member I dealt with was charming and efficient. Especially my server at Rosely at Happy Hour. Security, Bell staff, housekeeping all 10/10
Location Beautiful lobby Multiple dining and seating options Staff was AMAZING
Centralissima. Super elegante. Moltissimi servizi. Cibo ottimo.
Location. Elevator to Gare Centrale, easy walk to Ste Catherine Street
We found the reception area noisy. Climate control in room was slow to adjust. Room service food was just ok.
The view was lovely. The room was well laid out and everything worked well.
The mini bar has sensors, so one must not touch any item unless one wants to own it and pay for it.
Room comfortable. Location excellent,
The room was small.
Everything was good.

They withdrew the booking amount from my card, even though I paid through Booking.com. I don't know if they will refund me or not, and they refused to give me a receipt?!!!
Very clean and accommodating. Staff were very helpful with our visit. We chose this hotel every time we travel to Montreal, every spring. We recommend to all our friends to stay there.
No complaints.

As repeat guests of the brand across four other Canadian cities, and having stayed at the Fairmont Reine Elizabeth twice in the past two years, it feels slightly uncomfortable to leave a critical review. To start with the positives, the staff throughout the hotel were excellent. Front desk, concierge, housekeeping, doormen, and the teams at Roselys and Marché Artisans were welcoming, professional, and clearly hardworking. The hotel is also extremely well located, making it easy to explore the city on foot or via public transport. Unfortunately, the room itself fell well below the standard suggested by the rest of the property. While clean and offering a pleasant city view, the room felt tired and overdue for refurbishment. Furniture was worn and dated, and paintwork and plaster around the window reveals were peeling or damaged. The shower was a good size, but the combined toilet and basin area was cramped, and the toilet fixture moved during normal use. The adjoining (locked) door to the neighbouring room also allowed significant noise transfer, meaning we were listening to energetic neighbours late at night and again early in the morning. Taken together, the room felt noticeably out of step with the quality of the hotel’s public spaces and service. For the rate charged, the accommodation simply did not represent the level of comfort or value we have experienced at other Fairmont properties or Le Reine previously. A disappointing stay in what is otherwise an impressive hotel. Given the strength of the staff and the location, it is surprising that some rooms appear to fall so far behind the otherwise high standards of the property.
We came on a winter break to Montreal and Quebec. This hotel was perfectly located for a first time, short stay visitor. 5 minutes walk past the winter ice rink to downtown and the time out market for food and drink, and shopping, if you are that way inclined. As it was winter, we took the hotel lift to the railway station and the underground maze of the subway system to walk to Notre Dame and the Old Port. We took the train from Montreal to Quebec, so to be able to go down to the train station from the hotel was excellent. We made use of the bar Nacarat at the hotel. A very pleasant bar where the staff were very courteous and attentive. The rooms were very comfortable. We overlooked the church but with the snow, the church , the office lights . We were more than happy.
