Warwick Le Crystal - Montréal

We left some clothes in our room. The hotel acted promptly and efficiently to send them to our next destination. It was really impressive how they not only had a simple system for doing this, but that the clothes arrived, as predicted, Montreal to Quebec, in just two days.

Room service only has food from their Thai Restaurant - clearly they were not interested. I mean, how about a burger or a coffee? No can do. Bit low class for such an expensive place.

Die Lage war sehr gut. Hatten ein ruhiges Zimmer welches geräumig genug für uns 4 war. Personal freundlich, Late check out möglich. Einzig der versprochene Anruf, sollte das Zimmer früher verfügbar sein erfolgte nie.

Die Klima war doch recht laut und die Steuerung etwas mühsam. Konnten nur voll aufdrehen oder abdrehen. Dazwischen gibt es keine Auswahl. Der Pool ist sehr seicht und das Wasser zwar sauber aber nicht so richtig klar.

The rugs are not feeling clean anymore. We have been coming here since it opened. It doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel anymore. It’s feeling like a 4 star.

Location of this hotel is great, and our room was large and comfortable. No noise from adjoining rooms at all and accommodating and helpful of requests.

The furnishings in the room were very tired and old, lots of scuff marks, stains, peeling paint and the decor was very dated. Gave the impression that there hadn't been much upkeep of the room over the years.

Just as an example, there is staff on the lobby constantly, but no one has the initiative to open the door for, even when you arrive with huge amount of luggage..

L’hôtel est très bien situé, très proche de quelques arrêts de bus et d’une station de métro. Il y a plusieurs bonnes adresses supers sympas pour le petit déjeuner ou le déjeuner à quelques minutes à pieds depuis l’hôtel.

La maître-nageuse de la piscine était particulièrement désagréable. Nous nous sentions observés et harcelés, si bien que nous avons été à la piscine que 2 x 30 minutes durant toute notre semaine de vacances. Une des raisons pour laquelle nous avons pris cette hôtel était la piscine et nous nous faisions une joie de pouvoir en profiter mais une fois sur place l’ambiance n’était pas du tout agréable et détendu comme nous aurions pu le souhaiter. Le jacuzzi était inaccessible 1 fois sur 2 pour une raison inconnue. Notre au chambre (1018) au 10ème étage était particulièrement bruyante. Les équipements extérieurs de ventilation en toiture juste à côté étaient assez dérangeant pour ma part, surtout la nuit. Il y avait un bruit sourd d’un extracteur qui tournait. La climatisation de la chambre était vraiment terrible. Le bruit était assez fort et ne régulait pas bien du tout. Aucune régulation de la vitesse, toujours à fond. Je suis même tombé malade en fin de semaine. Plusieurs fois durant la semaine 1 des ascenseurs voir les 2 sont tombés en panne, notamment une journée complète, les employés ont dû faire monter et descendre les personnes par le monte charge complètement engorgé. C’est inacceptable pour un hôtel 5 étoiles. On aurait plutôt dit un 3 étoiles voir même moins car la seule différence avec un 3 étoiles ce sont les équipements et là pour le coup c’était surtout vis à vis de tout ces désagréments. Enfin, le personnel de l’hôtel n’était pas spécialement chaleureux pour un établissement Montréalais !

Très bien situé ( juste à quelques mètres d'une station de métro et arrêt de bus pour l'aéroport) . Hôtel avec de très belles prestations ( spa , salle de sports ...) et suites très spacieuses et très bien équipées. Propreté irréprochable ! Un sans faute .

L’hôtel en soi est magnifique, la chambre était très grande, très confortable et bien équipée, ainsi que bien insonorisée.

Le réveil-matin avait été programmé pour 5:00 du matin avant notre arrivée, ce qui fait qu’on a été réveillé à cette heure. De plus, enlever l’alarme était complexe et même en débranchant le réveil du mur, il continuait de sonner! Ça a dérangé notre sommeil. A la piscine, il n’y a pas de chaises pour s’asseoir, sauf un petit canapé pour deux. Il serait bien d’y avoir des transats ou chaises et tables à l’intérieur et non seulement quelques transats à l’extérieur, particulièrement quand il pleut. Notre chambre avait vue sur un balcon en rénovation! Nous n’y avions pas accès et tout autour, on n’y voyait que des bâtiments intérieurs. C’était un peu dommage, surtout qu’on savait que je passais la soirée à l’hôtel … La vue laissait vraiment à désirer.

L’unico ulteriore aspetto da segnalare riguarda l’accoglienza all’ingresso. In una struttura di questo livello ci saremmo aspettati maggiore attenzione verso gli ospiti: nel vedere una famiglia con valigie, bambini o passeggini, sarebbe stato opportuno offrire assistenza o almeno tenere aperta la porta, soprattutto in una situazione di evidente difficoltà. E mi riferisco praticamente ad ogni singola volta in cui siamo giunti in Hotel. Non si tratta di un servizio aggiuntivo, ma di semplici attenzioni che incidono sulla qualità complessiva dell’accoglienza e del soggiorno.

Un gros problème absolument tous les jours pour avoir le bon nombre de serviettes! Nous étions 4 et nous avions tous les jours soit 2 ou 3 serviettes… Nous nous sommes plaints plusieurs fois à la réception, à chaque fois le problème a été résolu mais le lendemain rebelotte… La situation était assez énervante et absolument pas digne d’un 5 étoiles. À part ce souci récurrent, le séjour était très agréable.

The location, décor, and service were excellent! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nothing, everything was perfect!

The room was spacious the air conditioning was good, but we were also able to open our expansive window. Being able to let in fresh air means a lot to me. The bathroom was also a good size and the walk-in shower was a great feature— and easy to operate.

The only not very important point at issue was that the air conditioning actually made the room a bit chilly and we weren’t able to adjust it. We did not mention this or ask for help because it was no big deal.

The tub was dirty, the breakfast was terrible, they didn’t even have proper milk or cream for your coffee. They had it in the little packets like you’re going through a drive-through. There was a leak in my bathroom from the ceiling all over the floor, there was a noise, maybe from a fan all night that kept me up, the staff looked like they were Deer in headlights all the time. They moved me to a better room because of the leak in the bathroom, but the tub was dirty in that room. There was no water pressure. They said something broke and then when it started brown water came out of the tap. It was just a bad experience.

This is our favorite hotel in Montreal. We really enjoyed the pool and deck with hot tub. So relaxing!

This was directly near the Bell Centre where I needed to be for work. The staff were courteous and the rooms were spacious. I had some issues with the air conditioning in my room but otherwise it was clean and a good atmosphere.

Stayed here for four days. A great location, close to the 747 bus stops to get to and from the airport. Easy to walk anywhere in the downtown area, or to take the bus or metro to other parts of Montreal. The Provigo grocery store a block south of the hotel had everything you'd need for food and other supplies. We had a Junior Balcony Suite, which was quite roomy. A door separated the bedroom from the living room. A very long desk/work area along a wall of the living room let us spread things out. Bathroom was clean, things worked well. The front desk staff was very helpful, including arranging for a late 2pm checkout on our departure day. The on-site Thai restaurant, Siam, was quite good.

Location was central. Room was great. Staff were fantastic.

There were three of us in the room. The first person had a hot shower and the other two received cold showers. I received an apology, but that was little to offset the inconvenience of not having a proper shower. The room charge should have reflected more than suboptimal conditions.

Pas de petit déjeuner buffet mais à la carte donc la note peut très vite grimper! Nous étions 3 et la chambre n'avait pas été totalement préparée pour 3 personnes (manque peignoir et vaisselle pour une 3eme personne). Souci avec la clim, intervention très longue. Manque de réactivité. Le rapport qualité prix n'est pas à la hauteur.

This is our go to place when in Montreal. The staff was so accommodating, and the facility was spotless. The staff service makes the hotel exceptional!

Room was great,very large space, Pool was lovely as was the deck area. Siam restaurant. food was very well priced and the flavours great, ate there for both lunch and dinner. location and area was very convenient for shopping.

my mattress was a little loved on one side which I reported apart from that I could not fault it.

We have just had four nights in a suite as part of my husband’s 50th birthday celebrations. It was amazing, the room was glorious, the decor was stunning, the staff were delightful and the pool and spa area was heaven. They even left some macarons and a card for my husband’s birthday. We can’t wait to come back!!

It’s all good!

I liked the size of the room. It was big with 2 big beds. I also liked their little bar with complementary coffee. I like the big bathroom too. I liked that they showed my name on the TV. It was a nice touch. I liked that they served complementary coffee and water in the lobby. It made the hotel feel cozy.

I didn’t like that the windows were dirty. When I opened curtains, I saw dirty windows and that made my experience less pleasant. The carpet in the room was ok. It wasn’t very dirty; but it wasn’t clean either. I think keeping the carpets clean would make the experience even more pleasant.

After spending over a week in Canada’s beautiful nature we thought it would be nice to treat ourselves on a stay in this 5-star hotel in Montreal. But then imagine that you find out that the air conditioning doesn’t work properly (no temperature control, just a fan with “low” and “hurricane” settings), the safe is unusable, the bathroom faucet is practically falling off the sink, the curtains are full of holes, and the chair’s leather upholstery is peeling away (room 618). Not exactly what you would expect. To make matters worse, there were only three large towels provided for four guests, as we were sharing the room with our 2 kids. Of course, things can occasionally break down, so we reported all of these issues to the front desk and gave the hotel the opportunity to resolve them. We were assured that everything would be taken care of as soon as possible and that additional towels would be delivered. Trusting that the issues would be addressed, we went into town and returned six hours later. Nothing had been fixed, and no towels had arrived. After calling reception again, we received the same assurances. This time, someone did eventually come to the room. Batteries were inserted into the safe, and the faucet was tightened, although it still wobbled. The air conditioning could not be repaired, so we were advised to run the fan at maximum speed instead. Later, two additional towels were finally delivered, only for us to discover that they were covered in dust and stained brown. That was the final straw. I ended up walking through the hotel hallways looking for a housekeeper, and thankfully one of the cleaning staff was kind enough to replace them with clean ones. What made the experience even more disappointing was the contrast with the 2-, 3-, and 4-star hotels we stayed at during our trip across Canada, all of which provided a significantly better experience. No more Warwick for us…

I had stayed at Le Crystal pre-covid, before a Warwick property, and liked the location and large rooms. The suite was spacious with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Rene Levesque Blvd. Although somewhat worn, there was an abundance of storage. Ample usb ports and outlets are throughout. Lighting and furniture are modern and stylish. The large shower was fantastic, and tub was ideal for a deep soak. The king sized bed and pillows were comfortable, Large tvs in both living and bedroom have many cable channels and access to Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, HBO2 and movies. The large Nespresso worked perfectly. I ordered room service from Siam, which arrived promptly. They offer an assortment of Thai selections and the meal was delicious. They also prepare traditional breakfast. During my visit the deck with hot tub was closed, but large sauna and pool were available and welcome amenities; I didn't get to the gym.

The inoperable safe and phone issues were inconveniences. But my major disappointment was lack of a workable kitchenette and cookware, amenities listed for the Crystal Suite on Warwick's website. I extended my stay to 11 days because of this feature. On arrival, I found there was no refrigerator. A sign in the fully stocked minibar warned that its temperature was inadequate for food or medicine, dial 0. I had items to refrigerate and due to my diet, intended to purchase produce. A medium sized fridge with separate freezer was brought up. No dish sponge, soap, cloth, can opener, dish rack/mat. Nor a complimentary bottle of water, but loads of beverages, liquor and snacks for purchase. Inside the cabinet with the electric kettle was another sign: Cooking supplies are available, dial 0. I called to request a soup bowl that could rotate in the microwave (large plates provided were square) and pot (the one brought was large enough for stew). So, a minimal kitchenette on demand. I travel worldwide so was prepared to improvise, but did not anticipate having to do so.

The tv remote wasn’t working but fixed quickly. The only issue we had was the sofa bed for my son had lots of stains on the mattress cover when we opened up to make it. They came and gave a fresh one quickly, but still didn’t need to see that.

Stayed here for business for 4 nights. Close to city & work. Room was spacious and clean. Service was indifferent. Reception not engaged. Breakfast a disaster. Very slow, poor service and food.

We could not be happier with how the event turned out. I invited people from across Canada (many had never been to Canada before). This place wowed everyone. The food for our meetings (breakfast, breaks, lunch) was exceptional. I highly recommend having a conference here if you are looking for a spot in Montreal. We were a group of 22 and everything went very smoothly. Excellent service from: Maelle (preparation in advance), Morgane, Melvin was a star, Andre, Louise, Yasmina (excellente serveuse lors de notre cocktail), et Jean-Marc. Merci!

This is one very nice property and quite good value given the substantial room size. We had a standard king and while the bed and seating area are in one large room , the layout provided two distinct areas with a TV in each. Location was immediately south of St Catherine and close to Crescent so a number of restaurants close by as was the main bus route to/from the airport and along Rene-Levesque. Rooms were clean and staff friendly. Housekeeping was late one day and had to request it but a minor point. We have stayed at several Montreal hotels over the years and this is hotel of choice.

...crystral clear, as we learned later. Overall our stay was fine. The location was good for us with the Peel and Bonaventure subway stations both less than a 10 minute walk away. There is also a station at Lucien-L'Allier, but we found it a bit creepy after one use, and didn't use it again. The room size (Premium loft suite) was more than ample. Plenty of space and clean upon arrival. Separate areas for sleeping and working / relaxing, as well as a mini-kitchenette area. Good lighting throughout. Street traffic noise is mostly muffled but there is a fire station a block over, so expect to hear a few sirens. A few minor niggles for management: Upon arrival, we schlepped our own luggage into the front desk area through the heavy front doors (not automatic.) The bellman / doorman just stood there staring at us as we struggled to enter. Once we were totally inside, he asked if we needed any help. "Not now." The in-room safe was inoperable when we first got to our room. A worker came quickly to change the battery, and had us sign a piece of paper promising not to forget our code. I also pointed out to him one of the mini-bar bottles in plain sight had a broken seal on it. Don't want to get charged $10 for something we didn't use. It was replaced promptly. Full housekeeping was by request only, which was fine for us, but when we requested fresh towels, three meant we got two, and two meant we got one. Oh well, some laundry detergent was saved I suppose. Does one-ply toilet paper really makes a 5 star impression? For our last morning we requested a 12:00pm checkout vs. 11:00am, which was quickly denied by "management." Thanks fine, we'll just spend more time at the airport, but as we exited our room shortly before 11:00am, a housekeeper was literally standing outside our door waiting to get in. Now I'll agree our room was very clean when we first arrived, but does it really take 5 hours to clean a room? (4:00pm check-in policy) Lastly - I requested a final bill printout which the front desk person said she can't print one and I had to contact my travel agent for one. Why she couldn't print one was not crystal clear...

We were on a tour so room only.. beautiful room with very comfortable beds. Well appointed with kitchenette including microwave and fridge. Amazing overhead shower and beautifully soft gowns and towels.. great location near ice hockey etc

Nice location, not super close to everything but close enough if weather is nice for a nice stroll. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Beds were large and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room could use another mirror on the wall besides the washroom one for getting ready. There is one in the closet but that area is quite dark.

Not enough light in entry of unit, needs another mirror on wall full length in the room so more than 1 person can get ready at a time as the washroom mirror is small and washroom is not large.
