Nelu Villa Sigiriya

Tout était parfait. On a mangé presque tout nos repas du séjour au restaurant de l’hôtel qui propose des poissons frais. Tout est très bon. Belle piscine et très gentil personnel.

Mooi aangelegd terrein met keurige tuin en mooi zwembadje op iets rustigere locatie, paar restaurantjes op loopafstand. Lion Rock is met Tuktuk binnen 5 minuten bereikbaar. Kamer is ruim en personeel vriendelijk. Restaurant/ bar boven is echt gezellig en eten erg goed (wel kleine kaart maar goede kwaliteit!).

Kamer mist sfeer en (bad)kamers zijn echt toe aan een metamorfose/ opfris- en schilder beurt. Ook heb je last van geluiden vanaf boven je kamer, wij zaten met onze kamer onder het restaurant en daar hebben we helaas de tweede avond echt hinder van ondervonden; veel lawaai tot 00:30 uur in de nacht (feestje van eigenaar met familie en er werden de hele tijd stoelen verschoven wat zorgde voor echt veel lawaai). Helaas zat op tijd slapen ivm de vroege hike er hierdoor niet in. Dus goede punten maar ook tijd voor een opfrisbeurt!

Prima kamer. Basic, maar met een prettig bed en een fijne douche. Fantastisch uitzicht over de jungle en de Lion Rock. Wij kwamen direct van het vliegveld en er kon een shuttle geregeld en er stond een sapje voor ons klaar. Zwembad is ook erg fijn en verfrissend!

Ten tijde van ons verblijf waren er af en toe olifanten in de buurt in de avond dus wees je ervan bewust dat je in het donker met de tuktuk terug moet

Such a beautiful place. Swimming pool is for sure a refreshing addition after exploring in the heat. The owner is the best, truly. I arrived, chose to freestyle and didn’t plan anything ahead. He helped me with everything I needed and I truly appreciate that. ( From finding the best driver to booking activities last minute ) Anyhow, my room was lovely, clean, had everything I needed and the restaurant thats part of the accomodation is also good!

Beautiful property in a peaceful location. A few minutes tuk tuk from all the cafes/restaurants or a short walk if you would like. The pool is in a perfect location in the middle of paddy fields. The restaurant menu was small but had plenty of choice if staying just a few nights. The food was always freshly cooked and served with the best view of the rock. Oh and the staff were all so kind and helpful! The rooms were basic but had everything you needed minus a hairdryer. Would definitely recommend for a couple nights in the area.

Room was filled with mosquitoes when we arrived, had to cover up a few holes in doors and try spray them out. Could do with setting up the bug nets on bed as soon as made.

Perfect located in Sirigiya, close to the lion rock and also a nice view on the rock direct from the hotel.

All was perfect. We loved it. Also nice to have food there. The pool beds are not so comfy, hard and no cushions. That's the only remark.

The pool has stunning views of the paddy fields and the restaurant has a gorgeous view of the lion rock. The staff were very friendly, welcoming us with a drink. They were also very accommodating and allowed us to checkout later when we asked. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was a short walk from shops and restaurants.

It would be great to have a fan, although there was A/C. It would also be helpful to have more plug socket points.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht hier, aber total begeistert – superfreundliche Gastgeber, tolle Lage, wunderschöne Ausstattung und unglaublich großzügige Räume mit viel Platz, sodass wir im Nachhinein sehr gerne noch eine Nacht länger geblieben wären! 🤍

Super aardig personeel! Ligging is top. Wij hebben in het hotel onze olifant Safari geboekt. Prijs is even duur als zelf organiseren en via het hotel krijg je een lunchpakket mee en komt de driver je ook nog eens ophalen en terug brengen vanuit het hotel! Top

TOUT ! La gentillesse du personnel et leur disponibilité. Un taxi est venu nous récupérer à heure tardive à la garde de colombo, pendant le séjour ils nous ont aidé et conseillé concernant les prix, les safaris .. La localisation parfaite pour s’isoler un peu tout en étant proche des centres d intérêts La cuisine : sublime

La piscine était super ! Les lits confortables ! Les extérieurs géniaux ! Le restaurant était bon.

Rien si ce n’est que la localisation ( il faut marcher 15 minutes pour arriver au centre )

Die Unterkunft punktet durch ihre zentrale Lage und Aussicht sowie dem Pool. Die Zummer sind zweckmässig eingerichtet, jedoch ist alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Wir haben uns hier wohl gefühlt, im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften in Sri Lanka, wo man auf ein individuelles Wohlfühlerlebnis und einen persönlichen Austausch Wert legt, waren wir hier Gäste wie viele andere.

Man musste sich die Informationen über Servicezeiten im Restaurant oder Poolnutzungszeiten o sonstige Möglichkeiten in der Gegend selbst besorgen.

Lovely roof top restaurant with an amazing view of Sigiriya. The food was absolutely yummy. Room clean and had everything we needed. Pool was clean and refreshing.

Cet hôtel est idéalement situé pour visiter Sigiriya et ses alentours. La piscine est très agréable et la cuisine est délicieuse. Super hôtel et personnel à l’écoute, je recommande.

Por el precio está muy bien y el personal es muy amable, está en muy buena zona. El sitio es muy bonito aunque necesitaría una reforma.

La descripción del hotel no coincide con la realidad, sobre todo la de la piscina. Ya que pone que tiene tobogán, que es de agua salada, que es climatizada y que está en la azotea y no tiene ni está en ninguna de esas cosas. Las mosquiteras de las camas están llenas de agujeros y en una cama un trozo estaba tan roto que es como si no tuviera. También pone que las habitaciones son insonorizadas pero no lo son porque se oye hablar a los de las habitaciones de al lado.

Kamer was zeer klein, zwembad lag afzonderlijk van het complex, sanitair was wat out dated, weg naar het resort is in zeer slechte staat

L'emplacement est génial ! À 8min à pied de bons restaurants, les tuk-tuk y viennent sans problème pour vous récupérer. On profite du calme tout en étant à proximité des sites principaux Un grand merci au personnel pour son accueil Tout le monde a été très arrangeant, et nous avons beaucoup apprécié le restaurant sur place + la piscine !!

Le petit-déjeuner est en supplément à commander, choix à la carte (entre 1300 et 2000 LKR par assiette)

Le cadre est très beau et l’emplacement idéal! Le personnel est aux petits soins et toujours de bons conseils! La piscine est très appréciable après une journée de découverte! Au top!

Beautiful, refreshing pool and fantastic outlook over Lion Rock. Especially from the restaurant. The rooms were comfortable with mosquito nets, aircon, and even a working fridge and there was a fabulous deck area overlooking the garden pool and Rock, where we could sit and play cards or just relax. The location was good as it was just a short walk down to the main road to shops and restaurants but it was quiet so we felt close to nature. If you’re lucky you may even see a wild elephant and peacocks in the field. The staff were really friendly and accomodating and the food at the restaurant was delicious.

The only tiny thing that was negative was the long wait for the food, but when it arrived it was worth the wait.

Bon hotel per visitar Sigiriya. En una zona tranquila, entre arrossars, a 10 minuts caminant del “centre” on hi ha els restaurants, agencies etc. Hi ha una piscina fantàstica. El gerent és una persona amable i professional i t’ajuda en tot el que necessitis (lloguer de motos, safaris, tuk-tuk…). Veus la Roca de Sigiriya des de tot l’hotel! També tenen servei de restaurant. L’habitació era gran i neta. Al final del carrer hi ha un llac molt bonic.

Res, és un lloc perfecte per passar-hi unes quantes nits.

Está a 5 min andando de la calle principal (aun asi, recomiendo alquilar moto), cenamos un dia los tacos de aguacate y el wrap de pollo y todo espectacular! Los cócteles también super buenos! La cama es cómoda y tiene mosquitera pero de todas formas se meten los mosquitos porque tienen agujeros. La piscina es preciosa y tiene varias hamacas dobles..

Sólo destacaria que podrian limpiar mejor los baños... La pica tenia manchas de humedad al igual que la ducha...

Le lieux accessible facilement, le personnel tres agréable et accessible ! Le lieux est magnifique et calme. La piscine est tres bien. On mange au tres bon restaurant de l'hotel avec la vue sur le rocher, c'est magnifique. Le restaurant est tres bon, pas excessif, et produit frais du jardin (on voit la serre). Vraiment top !

Même si nous nous attendions à quelque chose de basique au vu du prix payé, la chambre n'était pas faite lorsque nous sommes arrivés. La douche marche une fois sur 2. La piscine est en fin de vie et n'est nettoyée qu'une fois tout les 3 jours. Pas mal de petites choses à améliorer que le prix payé en vaille la peine.

Location, clean, just off the noisy road

Sometimes we had to wait a bit long for the food. But as soon as we knew, we ordered a bit early.

Ruime kamers, gezellig dat er een restaurant bij is. Heel mooi uitzicht op Lion Rock. Niet duur.

Schön gelegen. Der Geschäftsführer ist sehr kompetent, freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Es waren Umbauarbeiten am laufen, dafür wurde sich entschuldigt. Es war eine sehr laute Familie neben mir, ich hätte mir hier mehr Respekt und einschreiten des Personals gewünscht. Es wurde sich am Ende dafür entschuldigt und ein Rabatt gegeben

What we liked the most was the views and the swimming pool. Location and breakfast was perfect.

Rustig, maar volledig uitgeruste accommodatie. Kamer voldeed aan beschrijving en personeel was zeer vriendelijk!

We hebben hier een heerlijk ontspannend verblijf gehad. De bedden waren fijn en we hadden een heerlijk zitje voor de kamer. We hadden wel 2 losse kamers geboekt voor ons gezin van 4, zodat we allemaal goed de ruimte hadden. Het zwembad viel goed in de smaak bij de kinderen en had een prachtig uitzicht. Vanuit het restaurant hadden we uitzicht op de Lion Rock. De accomodatie zit op goede bereidbare afstand van de Lion Rock en diverse natuurparken (met volop olifanten). Ook zagen er midden in de nacht een olifant rondom de accomodatie (er is hiervoor bewaking) en in de vroege ochtend voor op straat.

Je zit midden in de natuur en de rijstvelden en daardoor kun je af en toe ongewenst bezoek verwachten in de badkamer, zoals kikkers. Maar dat heeft ook wel weer wat, je zit nu eenmaal in de tropen.

The location is nice with a really great pool. The host was super helpful organising an elephant safari and driver to visit Polonnaruwa. The room was fairly basic but comfortable.

The room was fairly basic. Some doors had no curtains so it got light very early. Our bathroom door kept swinging open during the night which made the air con ineffective if left.

We loved our stay here. The beds were comfy, good AC, mosquito nets, and loved the pool! The staff were really nice and helpful, and only a 2 minute walk to the main road for food etc.

The restaurant has an amazing viewpoint towards Lion Rock, awesome for a beer in the afternoon. Although the food experience wasn’t great. It took forever even though we were the only ones in the restaurant, and unfortunately the food wasn’t great. But heaps of restaurants nearby so all good

The views were amazing and the surroundings were pretty amazing. There was a constant breeze from the nearby paddy fields.

Location: 10/10! You can reach pretty much every destination easily, and Lion’s Rock is only a 20-minute walk away, surrounded by monkeys and peacocks. Whenever a place isn’t within walking distance, the hotel’s driver will take you wherever you want to go. Moreover, the hotel staff can book any activity you’d like to do (massage, Lion’s Rock hike, etc.). Hotel: The room and bathroom were spotless. We had no problems with mosquitoes or any other insects you might find outside (if you’re an insect freak like me! 😊). The bed was very comfortable, and the large windows made the room bright and pleasant. The pool was impressively clean, and the water was the perfect temperature for Sri Lanka’s warm weather. The view of Lion’s Rock is simply breathtaking—you can admire it directly from the balcony. Staff: Because it was the off-season, we were the only guests at the hotel. Nevertheless, the kitchen was always open for us, no matter the time. The staff organized every activity we wanted, drove us wherever we needed to go, and gave us excellent recommendations for the rest of our trip around Sri Lanka. Everyone truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Last but not least, our flight to Sri Lanka was canceled, and we had to cancel one night of our reservation. The hotel kindly accepted the cancellation free of charge, which we greatly appreciated.

However, the hotel’s driver (who drove us from Sigiriya to Kandy) was great for short distances but we didn’t feel safe during our 4-hour drive to Kandy.

Das Personal war extrem freundlich und sehr hilfreich beim organisieren der Wieterfahrt und von Ausflügen. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker, besonders mit Blick auf den Lions Rock. Die Terasse im 1. Stock direkt vor dem eigenen Zimmer hatte eine wunderschöne Aussicht.

Der Pool war noch nicht ganz fertig, man konnte aber trotzdem schon baden. Nach Fertigstellung ist das sicher eine tolle Bereicherung für die Anlage! Zu Fuß brauchte man ca. 30min nach Sigiriya, aber mit dem Tuktuk ging es sehr schnell.

Absolutely loved this place! An oasis surrounded by beautiful rice fields! Swimming pool was great. Room was lovely. Amazing view of the lions rock from the balcony! Short walk into the small town, and the rocks! Also really nice to just walk around the roads near by, surrounded by rice fields and a lake! Staff very friendly and helpful. And Sigiriya is just beautiful! One of our favourite places we’ve been and stayed on our trip around Sri Lanka, I highly recommend!

The thing that makes this hotel special is its beautiful setting. Lots of hotels in the area have views of Lion Rock - as does this one. But this hotel is set in amongst rice fields which is just incredible. You can lie in the immaculately clear swimming pool and watch beautiful birds and butterflies enjoying the rice paddies. It's very special. We stayed in other much more expensive hotels but we honestly thought this pool and outdoor setting was the most wonderful we experienced on our trip. Big bedrooms with a nice deck to sit and enjoy the view. The staff are very friendly and one of them speaks good English, one okay, the others not. Good mosquito net on the beds. Air conditioning and fans in rooms. Welcome drinks of fresh fruit juice is lovely.

The rooms are very basic. Although they were cleaned for us, they still felt quite grimy because of stains that don't come out and old fixtures in bathroom etc. We had quite a few problems with water running out so we couldn't shower and we had to move rooms because the first room only had boiling water and no cold water - and the air con didn't work. It was better in the next room but hard to regulate. Water stopped working when there were power cuts -not sure if that was just the hotel or the whole area. The restaurant food is just okay and takes a long time to come - but there are lots of other options nearby. Nice staff but inexperienced and slow - eg rooms not ready when we arrived in the late afternoon, bill took ages to organise at the end even though they knew we were checking out. But that's all fine as long as you know to expect it:) OVerall it's comfortable enough but you are choosing this hotel for its absolutely stunning and very special outdoors. this is what makes it and for us it was well worth it.

Schönes Hotel an guter Lage, mitten im Grünen und den Reisfeldern. Einfache Zimmern, schöne funktionale Architektur mit hohen Decken und schöne Böden. Restaurants/Bar/kleine Geschäfte gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Toller Pool.

Der Unterhalt wird teilweise ein wenig vernachlässigt. Was eventuell an den aktuellen Umbauarbeiten (neue bungalows in der nähe vom Pool) liegt.

Der var meget hyggeligt, og det ligger ude i naturen, så man får virkelig en junglestemning af alle fuglelydene. Samtidig var beliggenheden god ift. byen, Lions Rock og Pidurangala Rock. Man kan nemt tage tuktuk rundt. Personalet var meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Kan anbefales, især når det er en billig pris.

Faciliteterne kunne måske godt have været en smule bedre, og så var der mange myrere på værelset, men det kunne man sagtens leve med;)

Vriendelijk personeel! We kwamen aan op een nationale feestdag, toch werd voor ons van alles geregeld en heeft het personeel ons zelfs met de tuktuk rond gereden omdat verder iedereen al aan het drinken en feesten was. Tof uitzicht vanuit de kamer over de rijstvelden. Zwembad dat midden in de rijstvelden ligt

Het bed kraakt behoorlijk en er is sprake van wat achterstallig onderhoud in de kamers en overall op de locatie

Das Personal war nett. Das Essen wurde immer frisch zu bereitet und war dementsprechend auch lecker.

Ehrlicherweise können wir die ganzen perfekten Bewertungen nicht zu 100% nachvollziehen. Wir hatten leider ein Zimmer, bei dem es jedes Mal eine Überraschung im Badezimmer gab. Es fing an mit ewig langen Ameisenstraßen, was noch ok gewesen wäre. Dann ging es weiter mit mehreren Fröschen und dann noch Kakalaken. Wir haben dies dem Hotelpersonal am Anfang noch gesagt und sie haben die Tiere auch noch weg gemacht. Wurde dafür aber sehr belächelt. Das Bett war auch nur so geht so sauber. Auf dem Bettlaken war am Ende Fliegenkot und im Mückennetz waren größere Blutflecken. Sehr schade! Man konnte die Tür zu unserem Zimmer auch nicht fest zuschließen.

値段なりのいいところでした。 料理がすごくおいしかった。 ホテルを出てすぐの畑で蛍を見ました。また、星空がすばらしいです！ シギリアロックも目の前で、日の出登山を考えている方にはおすすめです。

De ligging was top en het personeel was erg vriendelijk!

De bedden bij het zwembad waren erg hard (houten planken zonder kussens). De airco deed het niet heel goed, wat bij temperaturen van 35+ graden wel jammer is.

Bed banging a lot. Could be more stable

Le personnel agréable, toujours disponible, la piscine pour se rafraîchir. Secteur calme petit déjeuner copieux est très bon avec vue sur le rocher du lion.

La visite des petites bêtes le soir dans la douche dans la douche ( petite grenouille, fourmis et sorte de cafard, c'était quand même propre.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns bei den Mitarbeitern des Hotels super gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Auf unsere Wünsche und Fragen wurde sehr engagiert eingegangen. Die Zimmer sind schlicht, alles notwendige ist vorhanden. Highlights für uns waren neben dem tollen Personal der Pool, bequeme Betten, gutes Essen und der Blick auf den Lions Rock, inklusive Möglichkeiten Affen zu beobachten. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Die Ausstattung in den Zimmern war schon etwas älter, wir hatten zwischenzeitlich auch mal Mitbewohner (Ameisen, Geckos..), was aber mitten in der Natur kaum vermeidbar ist und uns auch nicht größer gestört hat.

The view of Lions Rock is great. Nice location away from the main road. Beautifully set within a nice garden around rice fields. Pool was a nice addition. Really nice veranda, perfect to chill with a cold beer. Staff were very nice. Good choice of breakfast in the restaurant.
