Le personnel était adorable, nous avons même été surclassés. Cadre d'exception, hotel très accueillant, chaleureux et à l'écoute. Chambre très propre.

Everything was clean and nice. Very close to the main road off Sigiriya. Pool was really pleasant. We asked them to pack us something for breakfast because we were leaving really early and they made some sandwiches for us.

The pool was very nice and you could see Lion rock from around the pool. The rooms were basic but very clean. The restaurant staff were helpful with dietary requirements for food allergies.

It was a distance away from any other restaurants or food and no delivery was available so you have to rely on the on-site restaurant.

La ubicación, la piscina, el personal muy amable, dispuesto y con sentido del humor. Habitación amplia y baño con mampara para la ducha.

Nada, en general ha sido muy buena la experiencia.

Great hotel close enough to town but away from the hustle. Lovely view to the rocks. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Zu weit ab von Restaurants. Abends sollte man dann unbedingt ein Tuktuk zurück nehmen, die allerdings zu teuer sind. Naja, wir sind zu Fuß gelaufen. Frühstück ist nicht toll, ich würde eigentlich empfehlen, woanders zu frühstücken, aber es ist ja alles so weit weg. Das nächste Mal würde ich besser auf die Lage achten.

Sehr herzliche Leute, die einem bei allem helfen, was man benötigt (Ausflüge, Transfers) und auch schon um 4.45 am beim shuttle zum Lions Rock gut gelaunt sind! Wunderbarer Ausblick mit Blick auf den Sigiriya Rock. Wer es ruhig und abgeschieden in Dschungelnähe haben will, ist hier genau richtig. Wer näher am Hauptgeschehen/Straße sein möchte, sollte etwas anderes suchen. Gutes und sehr ausreichendes Frühstück. Großzügige Zimmer mit sehr guten Betten,, netter Pool für Abkühlung zwischendurch und nach Wanderungen...

Wir waren einmal Abendessen, das fanden wir Preis-Leistungsmäßig wegen hohem Preis/kleinste Portionen nicht gerechtfertigt. Frühstück aber sehr gut, ausreichend und abwechselnd.

Fijne familiekamer voor 5 (of zelfs 6) personen waarbij de kinderen in een iets apart gedeelte sliepen. Het waren vroeger waarschijnlijk 2 losse kamers geweest. Groot zwembad (wat iets schoner water had mogen hebben). Uitzicht op de Lion Rock, maar er zijn mooiere viewpoints in Sigiriya zelf. Het ligt aan het einde van een zijstraat, houd er rekening mee dat je daar ‘s avonds in het donker een tuktuk moet nemen.

We hadden packed ontbijt besteld in verband met vroege ochtend safari, maar dat moest nog gemaakt worden toen we gingen vertrekken. Dat hebben ze netjes opgelost dat we er niet voor hoefden te betalen.

Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt! Das Personal ist überragend: unfassbar nett, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, alles möglich zu machen, damit man sich wohlfühlt. Die Zimmer haben uns sehr gut gefallen: schön gestaltet, groß und sauber. Der fantastische Blick auf den Sigiriya Rock und der Pool runden das tolle Gesamtbild ab. Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Nos dieron una habitación con vistas al roca pinduragala y el trato del personal fue muy guay, ofreciéndonos llevarnos a nuestra siguiente parada por un precio razonable.

La comida fue bastante floja. El restaurante del hotel en general podría ser muy mejorable (aunque está bien). No incluye desayuno.

Nous avons passé un super séjour. L'accueil est excellent, les chambres sont TRES confortables, la piscine et l'hôtel tres agréables. Un grand merci pour votre gentillesse et votre disponibilité !!

Le personnel était très accueillant, souriant, aidant pour nous véhiculer et attendre la fin de nos visites. Ménage dans la chambre après 2 nuits si le séjour se prolonge, complément en bouteille d’eau très agréable. Proche pour des balades en ville à pieds

Het restaurant was prima maar niet bijzonder goed of uitgesproken.

Una estancia maravillosa y, sobre todo, un trato humano excepcional. Desde el primer momento me hicieron sentir muy cuidada. Me acompañaron a cambiar dinero, me llevaron hasta Pidurangala para ver el amanecer y, lo que más valoro, esperaron allí hasta que terminé la visita y bajé de la montaña. Hoy, al marcharme hacia Kandy, llegó mi coche con conductor y el personal del hotel incluso tomó sus datos por seguridad antes de dejarme marchar. Ese detalle me emocionó muchísimo y demuestra el cuidado y la preocupación que tienen por sus huéspedes. Me he sentido acompañada, segura y muy bien atendida durante toda mi estancia. ❤️ Muchísimas gracias por vuestra amabilidad, vuestra cercanía y por hacer que mi paso por Sigiriya haya sido todavía más especial. Sin duda, recomendaría este hotel y volvería

La cena en el restaurante es muy básica (por ej.: plato de pasta sin ninguna gracia). Aconsejaría no cenar ahí.

Very friendly staff and comfortable room

The room was not cleaned (even though we specifically requested it through the Booking app). Their explanation was because they couldn’t clean without us being on the property, for security purposes (?), which we never heard in any other hotel.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Royal Rock Sigiriya et nous recommandons vraiment cet hôtel ! Le personnel est incroyablement gentil, souriant et attentionné. À chaque retour de visite, ils nous accueillaient avec le sourire et des bouteilles d’eau fraîches. Ce sont de petites attentions qui font vraiment la différence. La piscine est superbe et surtout, la vue est exceptionnelle : on aperçoit directement le rocher du Lion de Sigiriya. Le cadre est magnifique, au milieu de la nature et des rizières. On entend les animaux le soir et on peut même voir des paons juste en face de l’hôtel. En se promenant un peu sur la route, on découvre également un joli lac à proximité. La nourriture est excellente et vraiment très peu chère. Il suffit de commander à l’avance, par exemple à 18h pour dîner à 20h, et tout est prêt à l’heure. Les plats sont très bons, frais et servis avec le sourire. Enfin, les chambres étaient très propres, rien à redire. Un hôtel simple, chaleureux, avec un cadre exceptionnel et surtout une équipe formidable. Nous y avons passé un super moment et nous y retournerions avec grand plaisir. Merci à toute l’équipe ! 🇱🇰❤️

Un angolo di paradiso! La struttura è vicina al centro di Sigiriya ma allo stesso tempo appartata, i letti sono comodissimi e la colazione è buona. Lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile, tutto perfetto!

L’emplacement idéal au calme de la vile mais accessible à pieds ou en tuc tuc . Chambres spacieuses balcon très appréciable. L’équipe se charge de vous faire passer un très beau et bon séjour tout est à la carte , une grande flexibilité et facilité pour l’organisation d’excursion ou conseils.

הצוות מאוד חברותי, עזרו לנו באטרקציות עם מחירים טובים. חדרים מרווחים ונקיים, בריכה כיפית. אחד המנהלים בשם jaye עזר בהכל והיה מאוד חברותי.

Très bon wifi, chambres simples mais propre , bon rapport qualité prix, piscine agréable, et surtout bien placé pour rayonner dans les différentes activités - le service laundry était parfait 👍 et très pratique ! Nous avions pris une chambre avec balcon et une autre sans- nous avons ete gentiment surclassé à l étage pour les 2 chambres , vue sur lion’s rock !

Pas de coffre dans toutes les chambres - on en avait 2 et une d elle en avait un donc c était pas un problème pour nous -

Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und versucht immer alles möglich zu machen. Man kann Ausflüge und Transporte direkt über die Unterkunft organisieren lassen, was hervorragend klappt. Statt dem Western Breakfast war es kein Problem auch Sri Lankan Breakfast zu bekommen. Kostenloses Wasser stand zu jeder Zeit zur Verfügung. Da wir 3 Nächte geblieben sind, haben wir eine bessere Zimmerkategorie bekommen.

Das Zimmer hatte ein paar kleine Mängel.

Wir bedanken uns ganz herzlich für den tollen Aufenthalt. Das Personal war super nett, freundlich und aufmerksam. Alles war sehr sauber.

Lovely hotel. Our favourite hotel out of everywhere we stayed in Sri Lanka. Nice peaceful location. Very relaxing with swimming pool to chill out at. We were on the top floor with a great view out to Lions Rock. Big, spacious room. Very clean. But the best thing was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and everything was delicious and very good value. Also very cute hotel dog! I would definitely recommend

Die Anlage ist hübsch gestaltet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Man kann den Löwenfelsen vom Balkon sehen. Wir waren schon zum zweiten Mal hier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Abbiamo alloggiato 4 notti. Sono stati davvero tanto gentili sul tutto (avevo persino fatto un errore sulla prenotazione e l hanno gestito senza farmi cambiare stanza). Abbiamo organizzato tutte le escursioni e gli spostamenti con loro. Davvero super soddisfatti

De locatie was fijn tov de Lion Rock. Het uitzicht was mooi! De bedden waren fijn en comfortabel. Personeel was zo lief om mijn partner te helpen met een taartje en versiersels voor mijn verjaardag

Zwembad was vrij troebel en niet heel veel bedjes. Eten in restaurant was niet heel bijzonder

La gentillesse des personnes tenant l'hôtel... toujours prêt à nous faire plaisir et à s'assurer que tout se passe bien. Nous avions déjà prévu nos excursions et aucun changement de comportement...c'est super appréciable. Ils nous ont prêté des serviettes pour la piscine et nous ont proposé à plusieurs reprises si nous voulions que la chambre soit faite. Le cadre est juste somptueux et c'est un excellent rapport qualité prix.

Les meubles de la chambre ont bien vécu mais le confort reste entier. Le balcon n'était pas très propre...la chambre elle, pas de problème.

Para llegar a la calle principal hay un buen paseo. Aunque te facilitan tuctuc y taxi todo lo que necesites (pagando obviamente) pero vamos… preferíamos eso antes que estar en la calle principal que hay mucho ruido y tráfico

The view was amazing and the rooms were nice and clean. Staff was very nice and friendly.

The manager/owner was exceptionally helpful. The dining room was nice. The big beautiful Rottweiler dog was a joy to see. Parking was good. Ducks frolicking in the small pond. Evening explosions directed at discouraging wild elephants gave a lovely jungle vibe.

The restaurant staff had trouble getting access to the beer fridge and taking payment for meals unless the manager was immediately available.

We hebben een erg prettig verblijf gehad bij Royal Rock Sigiriya. De kamer was netjes, schoon en comfortabel, waardoor we heerlijk hebben geslapen. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij en doet er alles aan om je een fijn verblijf te bezorgen. Al met al een fijne accommodatie met gastvrije mensen en een goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. We zouden hier zeker nog eens verblijven.

Het ontbijt was netjes verzorgd, maar de keuze was vrij beperkt. Daarom hebben we ervoor gekozen om buiten de deur te ontbijten, waar in de omgeving voldoende leuke opties te vinden zijn.

The staff were amazing. So helpful with everything we needed - drinks, food, taxis - couldn’t do enough for you! Our bags got lost on the flight and they helped us make sure we could contact the airline and sort out getting our bags the next day. The room and facilities were excellent, very clean and comfy! Sadly without our bags we had no clothes to use the pool but it looked excellent and they were out cleaning it in the morning!

We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf bij Royal Rock. De werknemers zijn enorm vriendelijk en staan altijd voor je klaar. Wij moesten naar het ziekenhuis en het hotel regelde dag wij daar naartoe konden. Ook hebben ze ons weggebracht naar Dambulla. Het zwembad is schoon en er zijn fijne ligbedjes waarbij je uitkijkt op de Lion Rock. De kamer vonden wij schoon en de airco was heel prettig. Voor de eerste keer in Sri Lanka hadden we een fijne douche met een goede druk. Wij komen graag nog een keer terug.

Het vriendelijke personeel, het zwembad, de kamers waren schoon en netjes. Het ontbijt was prima.

Prachtige plek met uitzicht op Lion Rock. Heel fijn zwembad. Hele fijne warme douche. Super aardige eigenaar. Een hele fijne plek om te verblijven.

Er staat 4 sterren maar ik zou het als een 3 sterren hotel zien. Er is wat achterstallig onderhoud. Dat is niet erg. Maar het is dan beter om andere verwachtingen te hebben. Prijs kwaliteit is wel heel erg goed. Meer heb je niet nodig als wat je hier krijgt zegt mijn man. En dat klopt. Dus als je uitgaat van een goed 3 sterren hotel dan klopt het precies. Ik kan dit hotel dus absoluut aanraden.

L’accoglienza è straordinaria. Per un disguido col volo siamo arrivati nella struttura alle 5.30 del mattino, si sono subito adoperati per prepararci una camera e farci riposare. Colazione ottima e piscina ciliegina sulla torta per riposarsi un po’! Affascinante anche la vista sulla Lion Rock

L’unica pecca, ma che è anche un bonus volendo vedere, è la lontananza dalla strada principale dove si trovano i ristoranti.. velocemente risolvibile chiamando un tuktuk!

The pool was lovely, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The price was very reasonable and offered great value for money. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come back again. Thank you!

bel emplacement, avec vue magnifique ! Petit-déjeuner décevant par rapport aux photos qui faisaient vraiment envie, piscine agréable, mais l'eau était trouble et cela ne donnait pas très envie de s'y baigner. Chambre agréable avec son balcon à la vue magnifique, propriétaire attentif à nos demande et tout à fait agréable, il a fait du mieux qu'il pouvait raisonnablement.

The host was delightful. The view over the paddy fields was lovely. he moved us into a top floor room which was great. Good sized deck. really gorgeous. Couldn't be more helpful. Short tuk tuk ride to a choice of restaurants. Waited for elephants to walk up the lane but never got the timing right. Good spot to climb Sigiriya and dambulla etc. pool welcome after a hot day. Room large and lovely.

The pool was a bit cloudy so we didn't put our heads under. We were in low season so probs hard to maintain. Can't reiterate how great the host was - would def return here.

The team were so friendly, helpful and attentive. The breakfasts were delicious. The view of Lion Rock makes the location very special. Easy walking distance 10-15 minutes to restaurants.

Ligging was goed. En de mensen waren hardstikke aardig! Ook toen we later wilde ontbijten was dit mogelijk.

Er werd aangeboden om ons op te halen en te brengen naar bepaalde locaties maar dit was helaas een stuk duurder dan pick me. Ook was de safari die we boekten de eerste dan 40k en net voordat we gingen zei hij 42k. Helaas hebben we niet gezwommen omdat het water erg groen leek.
