The property was really nice
The food was horrible and the chef doesn’t know how to cook a steak I ordered a well done steak and it was red in the middle and I got a other steak and this one was cremated and I didn’t get my mushroom back and my gilled tomato was cold and so was my chips and they wouldn’t even give my husband the money back for my meal only drinks
Nice and new and clean , plenty of parking young lady house keeping called Stephanie was the only helpful member of staff getting me out of an awkward situation.
Staff very unhelpful , far too many stairs to reach our room asked to change to an more accessible room she told me too busy to do, but was told by other members of staff that hotel was quiet so was lied too ! Music was far too loud to be relaxing! Rooms on top floor very stuffy and hot window hardly opened, meals basic not a lot of choice and expensive ( pub meals not restaurant meals as you would expect from a hotel like this )
Value for money
Poor breakfast ingredients ,
Great location pently off free parking lovely and relaxing great breakfast pently of choice friendly staff very helpful
Bathroom could have been cleaner need of bleach and had a smell
The location was a 20-minute walk into the town, so it was quite handy.
I think this location is great for contractors working away from home, as there seemed plenty of them about. Along with this comes the choice language, and quite a macho feeling to the place. An optional service charge was put on the food bill but promptly taken off when questioned. The staff were pleasant but quite laid back with speed of service.
The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. I would recommend the sourdough pizza. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I felt very safe as a solo female.
I was unfortunately there during the hot weather and there is no air conditioning. My family visited me for coffee the next morning and they all received £60 parking fees a few days later which were fortunately cancelled at my request.

Staff were great. Breakfast was good - decent food and choice. Good car park. Loved the sun room
No fridge in the room and would have liked some help with my suitcase after check in. Apart from that though the people were just great.
Close proximity to our party, convenient if driving.
Up stairs downstairs furthest room from Main desk and facilities
The house keeper was the most helpful and happiest person there. Good parking and plenty of EV chargers avaliable
The restaurant isnt great, I chose fish finger sandwich and they stopped serving that at 5pm, so then chose Ceasar salad and they also stopped serving that at 5pm ( maybe should put that on thr menu, if they did i missed it) . Fish and chips, they had sold out. Steak, sold out ( I will point out its just after 6pm). So I ended up with a very dry chicken and chips. A little later on we decided to have a Baileys night cap. And guess what, yep sold out. So not much luck at all. The toast in the morning, well I gave up on that. But what I will say, we came across the friendlies housekeeper ever. She was so happy and friendly.
It’s local to my family and has plenty of parking, it’s always clean and staff friendly
The chef just walked out in the middle of his/hers shift, there was only 2 members of staff on shift and they had to go round and explain and refund people, in saying this the guy in charge let people order in food and eat it in the restaurant , this seemed to work well so well done to the staff on this shift, the place seems to lack staff at times which is annoying, on checking out I had to ask the guy serving breakfast if anyone was around to check guests out (which he kindly come over to do for us and another couple)
A standard hotel, not bad, not very good either. Easily reached from the A14, plenty of parking space and close to Bury St. Edmunds. The bed was comfortable. Dinner was plentyful for dishes like fish&chips, but less so for more sophisticated? dishes like taco's.
Ventilation in the bathroom is virtually non-existent, very balmy after a shower. There is a big-plate rainshower, which is really not acceptable anymore. Especially with the dry summer we are having. Luckily it didn't come on automatically and there was a good handheld shower as well.
The location is perfect
The hotel was unclean , rooms very very basic , the breakfast was poor , no cups , tables full with dirty dishes , waited constantly for food items to be refilled , no management to motivate staff , no daily room clean . Totally unmanaged !
Easy free parking.
Staff are essentially clueless, bless them. Serve wrong and dirty glasses for a beer. The room lights are bad: cannot find socks even with light on. Only one per twin bed. WiFi does not work due to no bars. Door does not lock from inside. Noise travels between rooms. Bath slippy: you take your life in your hands. Shower taps imposible and not marked. Main menu items sold out. Carpets are lighter on edges than the middle. Staff brushed crumbs onto carpet floor in breakfast area when clearing tables. This is Fawlty Towers without the laughs.
There was plenty of car parking space. There is a Sainsbury’s within walking distance and a path to the centre.
The room was quite compact, but clean and tidy, apart from the toilet which needed bleach put into it. We expected a garden view but merely saw another block of rooms. A new toaster is needed. One lady put 2 pieces of bread into one end while I put 2 pieces in the other end. Hers came out burnt and was thrown away, while one of my pieces was burnt on one side, while the other piece was hardly brown.
Room was comfortable and clean, well sized for the price, staff were nice
Food was poor quality, no aircon, limited if you don't drive due to location
The lady at reception was so polite and professional and was very helpful with all out issues that we had during our stay
The fact we couldnt eat in the restaurant as the chef had walked out whilst on shift. So we had to then order food in via a take away which took some time, we were told wed get complimentary drinks, due to the ched walking out but when ordering drinks we still had to pay. When we arrived we had no towels in our room. The shower in our room kept going hot then cold whilst in use. When going down for breakfast we were questioned by a staff member that we didn't have breakfast on our stay, which we did pay for when booking. He then went on to say that we had our breakfast the morning before, even though we didn't check in until the evening before. So that was a nuisance for us.

Good location and good parking
Lots of flies and moths Room was dusty especially bed frame
Very clean & modern
Unfortunately I had to use another pillow that didn’t smell pleasant
Convenient clean and tidy
Basic and very warm
It was close to where I needed to be.
I chose this hotel as it had plenty of EV chargers and was close to where I needed to be. I had travelled a long way to get there and the plan was to charge my car overnight ready for the long journey again the following morning. However, when I arrived all 6 charger spaces were occupied by vehicles that were not charging and two taking up four spaces between them. I mentioned this to the front desk who simply shrugged, told me that he knew who they were as they were regulars and told me to charge over at the Sainsbury’s across the road. To caveat this, there were plenty of other parking spaces that these cars could have used. This defeated the whole object of me staying at that hotel and meant that I had to charge first thing in the morning at a significant cost and time disadvantage. Not good enough.
Easy access from A14 along with ease of parking. Nice staff.
Could have been a few more options on the menu.
Location and refurbished rooms.
Initial room was very hot asked for another ground floor room which was much cooler. Second room was very dark and couldn’t read any print as light wattage was very low.
It was fairly clean. The towels were big and fluffy. There were plenty of plugs in the room, everywhere you needed them. Also, the bathroom had plenty of space to place your toiletries.
The fact that it doesn’t have air conditioning during very hot summer nights is excruciating. Unfortunately, the window opens very little, so there is almost no air coming in the room. They did provide us small fan, indeed, but it didn’t make much of a difference. What surprised us the most was the fact that there was absolutely no cleaning for the three days we were there. Nobody came to replace the towels or at least to give us the option to ask somewhere or someone for a new towel, if we needed one. Also, there is no lift. At the end of the day, it’s a very basic hotel.
Clean staff polite
Backed onto a major thoroughfare, constant noise from cars on highway. Room far too warm and only a tiny fan supplied. Ended up leaving a night earlier due to the roomveing far too warm
Nice relaxed feeling in the hotel, staff were very helpful. Food good, reasonable menu.
Although the kitchen was closed we were allowed to eat takeaway food in the restaurant and were provided plates and cutlery.
The inside and outside areas needed a makeover
Located close walk to town centre It’s a reasonably good hotel. We booked late so perhaps paid a bit more than you could. Very quiet when we were there. Didn’t have breakfast. It was fine for what we needed
Although pretty quiet in room. Are located by a noisy road
Rooms, clean and beds comfortable. A fan in the bedroom. Staff very helpful and lovely personalities. Breakfast was tasty, fresh and a nice selection. Location perfect for our needs and was allowed to park one of our cars there for the morning after check out. Our whole party was impressed.
Nothing to not like....if being picky a little fridge where we could have cooled out water...but that's it.
Excellent staff, and room was lovely. We visited the in-house restaurant twice, and it was perfect.
WiFi in our room was non-existent. 1Mb at best. In the restaurant it was still only 25 Mb.
Stayed here many times but this time was disappointing
No tea bags in room only earl grey (an acquired taste)
Clean comfortable hotel with plenty of parking. Breakfast really good and excellent value.
If you can walk there's a footpath takes 20 - 30 mins to walk to Bury centre via abbey gardens. Otherwise you need a car.
Friendly staff Good breakfast.
Slow to drain shower that needed the drain cleaning. This was reported to the staff who seemed grateful for the feedback. Some very noisy guests that were banging doors in the early hours. Not the staffs fault.
All the staff I interacted with were lovely. Breakfast was good value. The room was clean and as advertised.
The room was uncomfortably warm but it has been extremely hot!
Good location
Nothing
Very convenient for the A14 and cheap petrol ( Sainsbury’s ) very close .
Food was ok
The on-site parking
This hotel exceeded our expectations, from the cleanliness & comfort of the room with a decent size tv, hairdryer, iron & ironing board & very comfortable double bed to all the staff who are incredibly courteous. The food we had was of a good quality for the price chicken kebab & cajun fries lovely & the breakfast had nice sausages, bacon, mushrooms, fried & scrambled egg & beans tea & coffee all for £10 so a very good price.
The only gripes I have is I miss having a fridge, I do understand this is a 3 star hotel and the pricing may not allow this but I feel there should be a hire service available for those who wish to have one. Also a bit of traffic noise from the A14 which may annoy some people but in a nice quiet spot apart from traffic.
Comfortable, clean hotel, most amenities. convenient location
No fridge in room
Had to take the breakfast to go as we woke up late but it was brilliant the staff were amazing!
Could’ve done with 2 pillows each but it was a lovely evening. Definitely coming back and definitely booking dinner next time.
Receptionist was very helpful when we asked to move rooms. There was a good selection of food at breakfast. Staff were all friendly.
Bathroom was generally clean, but the floor appeared to have old marks which are probably tricky to easily remove.
Location
Not enough staff
all good room and Food rooms very spacious and clean Excellent Value Very clean good location.
Perfekte Lage!
Leider war das Abendessen nicht gut.
My work colleagues had a lovely stay here whilst working in the area for a few days. No complaints at all. And would highly recommend. Location perfect for their work purposes. Would highly recommend.
The room was very clean the bathroom shower was great could not fault the breakfast very good selection all fresh the bed was great we stayed in very hot conditions the room stayed cool and the supplied fan was a nice extra touch.
the only thing that was lacking and i am nit picking here was a toilet brush.
Good location and value for money. Reasonable breakfast. Plenty of parking.
No electrical sockets next to the bed.
Conveniently near to town. Evening meal very good. Pleasant staff and comfortable bed/room
Long walk to bedroom, furthest room from reception but it was quiet
Loved the hotel, very spacious and staff so helpful and friendly
Nothing
Location good. Room was clean and comfortable.
Check in time 4pm too late for my needs. I was told by staff that I could pay for an earlier check in at 3pm for £10.00. When I agreed to this at 3.10 pm I was told my room was not ready. As I was at a meeting at 4pm I had to prepare in my car and not access the room until 9.30pm on my return. Quality of Breakfast was poor. I have stayed at this location before on several occasions Previously I have had no cause for complaint. I find the room availability strange as the house keeping staff were preparing rooms in the corridor opposite my room as I checked out at 9.am.
We stayed at this hotel whilst visiting Bury St Edmund’s. The hotel had very nice and tidy grounds, it was very nice inside, the receptionist was very friendly. Our room was nice, spacious and clean. The hotel is only about a 10 minutes walk into the town, so very handy for visiting the town. We booked a table at the restaurant in the evening, we sat down, we waited so long for our first course that we left and I complained. The two young men who were serving were very helpful, they gave us some biscuits to take to our room as we were starving and had no where else to get a meal. In the morning I told the receptionist what had happened and she told us that they had a temp in for a chef that night. That does not excuse the awful service. They replied to me later in the week and said if I was in the area to come in and get a meal! I won’t be doing that, the offer of breakfast would have been better as we had gone to bed starving!!!
A pleasant Hotel well located and a good breakfast.
Can’t think of anything
The towel was on and it could not be turned off by the staff as the maintenance memories of sick and other women had it on as well in these hot days so it wasn’t very comfortable Avatar and I coped to when we went to get one and had enough ingredients for one person Traffic very noisy
A room where we could all meet up for a drink
Rooms are small compared to Premier Inns
Lovely clean modern hotel with plenty of parking & spacious rooms, Sammy on reception was great, excellent breakfast
We had to leave ! will stay longegr next time

All fine
Bed was comfortable near to town.
Could have been cleaner, insects in the bathroom. Cobwebs ,money left on floor, so not hovered. No shower gel left in dispenser. Needs updating
The hotel itself and the staff were exceptional, very attentive, chatty and it was a pleasure to interact with them. Food was hot and very tasty, if a bit too much for me. Bed was comfortable and the room was spotless.
Unfortunately, not the hotels doing, there was a scene in the room next door at 2.15am which was very loud and quite disturbing, which resulted in someone being taken away by the local constabulary. This woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep.

Beautiful location
No Air conditioner Breakfast was awful and not worth the money
Lovely helpful staff, very clean, good food. Think it is better than a 3 star hotel.
No air-conditioning but we did have a fan in the room.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. It had the biggest bed I've ever slept in. There is an iron and ironing board also a hairdryer in the room. There is a very big car park which is free throughout your stay. The bar and restaurant is very roomy with different areas to sit.
There is nowhere in the room for your case, or to put any clothes except for a few hangers. We had to live out of the case which we left open on the floor, which is fine if you're only staying a night or two, but it got a bit annoying for our 4 night stay.
Good location
Stayed 3 nights and no housekeeping took place - had to ask for a clean towel, feel the price I paid should have a clean towel
Friendly and efficient welcome. Very clean room with USB sockets and free WiFi. No a/c but fan cooling. Good sized car park. Bar and restaurant on-site. Supermarket and petrol station next door.
Not much to criticise. Ok it isn’t the Ritz and a/c would be nice. The checkout is maybe a little early (1100). The town centre is about a 10-15 minute walk away.
Great place, friendly staff, decent sized room and they let us park our motorcycle outside reception.
The shower cubicle was a bit grubby and the water did not drain away properly, so after showering for a minute or so you're stood in a swimming pool (115) reported to reception but nothing done.
The full English breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious!
It was very hot during our vacation and the Dragonfly hotel doesn’t have air conditioning. They did have fans, though.
The room was clean and tidy
Insufficient staff, restaurant closed early, check in machine 'not working' according to member of staff. If this was the case, what was it not switched off or marked 'out of order'??
Breakfast was poor , good location for us to go to a wedding that was nearby.
Breakfast needs to be a lot better it lets the hotel and your stay down. A manager needs to experience breakfast and bring it up to standard. Breakfast is badly organised, after taking our room number, there was no , have you stayed before , explanation of what to do , where to sit etc . Having worked it out , bread for toast, pastries not present, no plates . We had to ask . One element of the hot food was missing at any one time , bacon , no sausages, sausages no bacon and so on . No one seemed to be bothered. This lets the hotel down, I probably wouldn’t stay again because of this and I think others would feel the same to .
Good hotel
Only one member of staff on during the evening. He did really well but couldn’t cover the workload of reception and bar serving.
Aircon in the room would have been a good addition as it was hot
Nice location. Clean rooms and good food and drinks
They don’t have a lift lugging suitcases up and down stairs was a big inconvenience.
Reasonable value for money
After I had informed them the room door was not working properly after the first night at the hotel, an unknown person entered my room the following night
Breakfast was really good, good choice of food available
Pillows, I'm very fussy though
We liked the look of the hotel, it was conveniently located, the reception was good and efficient. The room was basic, the shower exceeded expectations. We liked the quiet corridors. We also liked the bar, which was open till late with friendly staff.
Breakfast was a little bit of a disappointment, as some of the food was luke warm. The coffee machine did not work, but that turned out to be the silver lining as we got a lovely Starbucks cappuccino from the bar instead.
Staff very polite and welcoming, rooms all in perfect condition. Zero complaints. Great stay.
Breakfast maybe could be a bit better but great value for money either way
Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean and tidy
Location wasn't the best given it was situated just off the roundabout before the dual carriageway but not end of the world
Not a single thing I can say I would enjoy from the breakfast bar. There was no coffee offered while the coffee machine was not working. There was no plan B in placed. When I questioned the staff members, the answer was we don't know when the machine will be back in operation. The juice dispensers were empty, (All 3 dispensers were empty) No pastry items on offer as usual. The bread toaster was plugged but not in working process. The fried eggs was dead fried, it has gone to black colour. I only had a bowl of cereal and came out to find a restaurant where I can have some coffee and pastry. I felt down the day started and not looking to book this hotel anymore. The staff was very stressed, not happy to support the customers at all. The great customer service is the best contact to the hotel and the customers return to hotel because of the great customer service. The smile doesn't cost so, therefore I would kindly remind for your company to have a good customer service training for your entire team. If you have any issues with breakfast I would kindly suggesting to have a plan B in place to avoid the hazel. In the room service there was no good towel facilities provided. The room was not prepared for the cleaned environment, was very unhappy with the status was provided. However I am still thinking not to go back to this hotel, I visited my site 2wice month stay 2-3 days in same area. Originally thought of having this hotel will be a good place but now I realised its no longer the good practice hotel for me to stay,
Explained above
Nice clean rooms
Can't ring direct or book lunch over the phone, went to a AI customer service. Also at 7.50 am on a Sunday morning you could hear the hoover going so didn't get a lay in.
Clean, comfortable room with a lovely bed. The provided fan was very useful, given how hot it was. The staff were kind and attentive and the breakfast food choice and quality was top.
The hotel is adjacent to the A14 and, with windows open, it could be a bit noisy. Not the hotel's fault and easily remedied by closing the windows.
The hotel was modern, clean and well presented. The towels and toiletries provided in the room were sustainable and plentiful. Breakfast was good - a nice selection and it was cooked and presented well. Staff were friendly - Luke who was on reception and operating the bar/front of house was very professional.
The location is great only a short taxi ride into town.
Nothing.
I stayed here for a night whilst at Snettteron race circuit just down the road. This hotel was so much better than I expected - not that I had any low expectations - and I really enjoyed it. Just off the main road, and with a good car park. There is a large supermarket just a few steps away. My room was clean and pleasant and I was delighted that there was a fan in the hot weather. My room had a bath and a shower and good amenities. The wifi was good and there were plenty of charging ports. I didn't have breakfast in the hotel but did have dinner one night which was very nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Quiet
Soap bottle totally empty Room has smell
Great location for us...just off the bypass, hotel was clean and tidy. Facilities were good..breakfast was in abundance and the bar was well stocked. Bedroom nice size , clean usable bathroom.
Hotel was great so nothing to dislike.
Room was Clean. Shower was great, and a good size. Fan provided was really thoughtful. Breakfast was excellent. There was a good choice and the food was cooked lovely and wasn’t at all greasy. Pastries and cereals and toast and plenty tea, coffee and juices.
The bedding. The duvet seemed heavy and too solid but that’s my own preference. The pillows were flat and very hard. I woke in the night a couple of times due to this.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The dinner and breakfast food quality was awful, especially the frozen veggies and 'smash' instead of real potatoes.
Perfect location. Friendly staff.
The location was very convenient and the parking meant it was easy to get to town.
Room Bed Location

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Good location.
Its situation was excellent for the town but just outside to be quiet.
The breakfast on the Saturday was very poorly run. There was very limited juice yoghurts and pastries and we came down before 9:00am
Breakfast was poor. Coffee machine not working, juice ran out, eggs badly overcooked, staff tried their best but they were clearly badly understaffed.

All good
We stayed overnight in what I’d call the newer part of the hotel room 404, the room was lovely the only gripe would be that whenever the doors next door are closed they make the room shudder, the shower is amazing . We had dinner but I wouldn’t recommend it, mine was over cooked and obviously left on the side so was cold, my family members had stayed for 4 nights and had raw food , cold food and breakfast was not even available no coffee machine, no juice and no food , we got told by a member of staff “well if you come down later it will be gone” which I said “ you serve breakfast from 6.30-9.30 so there should be food up until then, the bar and reception staff were lovely which helps as it is not always a cheap stay.
Lovely location. Just an all round nice place ro stay
