Check in starts at 3pm. I had called the same day that I was arriving at noon I had called them telling them I wouldn't arrive until midnight. Given that you need to be out by 11am. My 2 beds were made and seemed somewhat clean. The tables in the rooms weren't, covered un something sticky and brown. The bathroom was also not cleaned. I took video and pictures of everything's as I insepct everytime I go to a hotel. I brought it to the staff's attention in the morning. They apologized and her words exactly "thank you for letting us know, unfortunately we were fully booked and it's hard to get to all the rooms and do a thorough check" i was beyond annoyed. Check in starts at 3pm i came and arrived shortly after midnight. They claim theu didn't have enough staff to do thete iobs and clean after other people had been there. They had from 11am and on to check that room and clean it. I was not happy about it.

We were just there on a overnight trip to meet up with family. The hotel is very nice, clean and quiet.

Expensive and very limited breakfast. But very clean and no issues. Staff friendly.

Had booked a room through Expedia, however, when I arrived at the hotel, the reservation had not reached the hotel’s reservation system. The Front Desk staff was not very warm or welcoming. After a quick call to Expedia things were sorted out and I was able to get into my room. In regard to my impressions of the property and my room; there is a track the sliding glass door moves on, which caught the wheel of my suitcase and I almost had a fall, a sign would be nice to warn guests. Regarding the room, it was very clean (aside from bath tub which had a few hairs and some grim on the sides as well as a broken drain plug). The room was very modern and beds were comfortable with lots of pillows and blankets. I did not see a coffee maker or ice bucket in the room. It was a quick stay for me so I can’t speak to the gym or pool areas. Check out was quick and easy with no hiccups or wait time. I would definitely stay at the hotel again if I ever end up in Guelph again.

The satellite tv doesn’t work. Staff was difficult at check in.

Pool is a nice amenity. Clean room, spacious. Only comment would be about how noise travels throughout tooms.

The concierge at night should be fired. We let them know we were going to have a late check in. When we got there he was nowhere to be found and we were stuck outside hotel for 15 min at 2am in the cold. A guest opened door for us and another 15 min passed with nobody. When he finallt emerged his hair was disheveled, his shirt was half untucked and his pants were partially undone. No apologies and all he could do was mumble incoherently. After being on the road 10 hrs this is the last thinf we expected to further delay us getting our room. Unacceptable and complaint has been filed.

Great, cute new hotel. But be forewarned, it’s $100 a night to bring your dog. Other hotels in the area only charge $15-20/night to bring a dog. Won’t return to this hotel because of this fee.

Staff at front desk was very friendly. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Would have been nice if breakfast had some hot options. Waa reasoanbly priced compared to other hotels in Guelph.

Clean and friendly service

Hotel was clean with friendly staff and the room was spacious enough for our needs. The bathroom was quite small however but was a small factor. We did not receive cleaning on the third day however (they only clean the rooms every other day), which was not a huge issue but we did run out of clean towels. Beds were comfortable, the area was quiet during our stay and was convenient to get around to where we needed to go. The breakfast was the biggest let down unfortunately. They offer 2 kinds of cereal, a small selection of yogurt, 2 kinds of fruit, packaged egg/packaged muffin and bagels with a toaster that barely worked. Smallest breakfast offering that I’ve ever seen at a hotel. Price per night was fair and there is a decent restaurant just down the road that you can walk to for lunch or dinner. Again, it met our needs for this particular trip but I am not sure that I would stay at this particular hotel again the next time I’m in the area.

We had a suite for 2 nights. The second night we arrived back to the hotel as a limo bus with rowdy people coming back from sort of party arrived and everyone was staggering into the hotel. Many were staying on our floor - I was anticipating a sleepless night from their noise but to my pleasant surprise I could not hear anything! The room was soundproof! The mattress and pillows were super comfy and I had a great sleep!

They assigned me to another hotel, not at Spark, which is 15mins away from the one I booked! They called me to change the hotel at 6:40pm, not before my check in time! Totally disrupt my itinerary of my trip!

We have a great stay at spark by hilton, staff wa very polite and helpful, room was nice and clean ,bathroom was clean .we like it overall .

This hotel is 10/10 stars. my room was clean and comfortable, staff let me check in 2 hours early and have a later check out time free of charge :) everyone was very friendly and the breakfast was very convenient and tasty. i would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Nice clean hotel in a convenient location. AC was super loud so we had the staff turn it off for the night. Staff was friendly, helpful and responded quickly.

The hotel had a waterline break, so they moved us to another hotel close by. I was not offered any perks or room rate discounts even though this was a big inconvenience.

The decor is a little cold and sparse. The air conditioner was unbelievably loud, parking was full and the breakfast was a letdown. However, the staff was friendly and it was clean.

They require $200 deposit at check in and could take 3 business days to be returned. The rooms are ok but not to require that much of a deposit.

I liked this hotel so much I stayed here twice.

The Rooms were very good and surrounding was clean as well. The Breakfast was not refilled - When i came down at 9 AM - Everything was empty and also we were not given a key card, so that was inconvenient

Convenient location in Guelph. Breakfast is not continental and had limited option. If you're looking for hot breakfast, this is not the hotel. Our experience was not good. The toilet above us was leaking directly into ours making washroom unusable. It's a persisted problem as we could see the ceiling had been patched before. We were given another bathroom to use after we complained but felt the management could have done more.

Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was nothing special. Suite was nice but bleach residue left on cabinets and no bedding for the pull out couch. There was plenty storage for bags, shoes etc. Mini fridge with a freezer was a nice touch. Price was too high for what it was though.

Had a good stay, through the staff weren't overly helpful when I had a question about the security deposit. Nice rooms, pool was adequate though sandy in the hot tub. Breakfast was pretty good! We will definitely go again.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed how the rooms did not have carpet and were stocked with hygienics that smelt nice. The hotel was quiet during our stay, even though there was a lot of people. My kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool. The complentary breakfast in the morning had a selection of yogurt, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, muffins and hard boiled eggs..

Great experience, brand new and impressive hotel.

Called hotel to see if have hot tub and pool, was told yes, then manager was pushy about booking room. Real pushy. Checked in , not overly impressed, went to go to pool. Then told the pool and hot tub is closed. No coffee maker in room. The shower was just warm, couldn't get it any hotter. Hotel looks nice , but not impressed with facilities

Stay was good. Had booked through a group rate but had to cancel because they wouldn’t let us modify the amount of days we needed to stay without our rates going up which was disappointing. Also there was mention of pool being closed which is a perk we chose this hotel for.

Pool and hot tub not available as advertised and staff not very friendly or able to give a discount.
