Western Hotel & Executive Suites

This hotel is managed remotely and one checks in at the bar next door. There's nothing wrong with that if you don't care that there's no "front desk".

It would be nice to have normal coffee makers. Those Keurig little things pale in comparison to a normal coffee maker with a pot, filters and enough coffee to service 2 people each morning.

It was a beautiful property, rooms are large, nice and clean

No elevator, but no big deal.

We had trouble opening the doors as the fob was temperamental Also coffee/ tea machine was not easy to operate

Hotel is nicely located close to downtown Guelph. The adjoining restaurant is amazing and the Basilica is a stone throw from the hotel. Lots of shops are around you as well if you want to eat something different, cut your hair, or go to the bank. The room is spacious and nice. Air con worked very well which was appreciated on this visit. Bathroom had the usual amenities but also dedicated make-up towels and mouthwash! The living room and kitchen were were stocked with a TV in both bedroom and living room. Great value in all and a great stay.

My bad for missing it, but there are no lifts at the hotel, so if you've got heavy luggage, be prepared for that. The couch in the living room had also seen better days, but I wasn't sleeping on it, so wasn't too bad. The restaurant while great for lunch and dinner, doesn't open in time for breakfast, so that is a little bummer as well.

Very clean and with lots of character! The suites were huge and really well equipped. Bathrobes and towels were soft and cozy!

Pillows were a bit lumpy.

The rooms were clean. The space was very comfortable and welcoming. The bed was really cozy.

The coffee maker was really dirty. The kitchen only stocked with the bare necessities....plates, glasses, silverware, frying pans. No water, no sharp knives, no cooking oil. They should make that clear so we can bring absolutely everything we need to cook with. The parking was a block away in a parking garage and the charge was $30 extra.

The location was excellent, the room clean and comfortable. The room had everything we needed.

The room was ultra bland in terms of decor.

We already pre-booked a restaurant around the hotel.

Koffer kann am Tag der Abreise nicht dagelassen werden, weil es kein Personal gibt, bei dem man ihn abgeben könnte, Pub nebenan war in der Früh noch geschlossen; Kühlschrank in der Küche brummt sehr laut, war zu groß, um bewegt und abgesteckt zu werden; bitte mehr Teebeutel bereitstellen, das wäre schön; Stiegenhaus sehr hellhörig

This is an amazing place. Great rate for an amazing room. Clean, cozy and super centrally located. I wish I could just live here.

The shower pressure wasn't great but honestly everything was fantastic.

Central location, easy check in and out. Everything we needed for the 2 of us. Comfortable clean and tidy, loads of hot water.

The room looked amazing, location was very central, and the value was great.

The AC was not working in the bedroom. No air or air conditioning was going through at all, leading to stale and hot air in the bedroom room, even with the temperature being set to 65F and fan on max cool.

The room was set up nicely and functional. it was very clean. I loved the decor throughout. We were only there for a quick sleepover after a wedding, but were impressed if you were to stay longer with the room and amenities.

We had specifically booked there so we could go to the bar after our event. it stopped food early and closed up early. There were many places close by though. We had difficulty getting out of the parking garage the next day. Contacting by phone and getting the company that deals with things was more corporate and not customer service friendly. The lady I dealt with later, Heather, was very friendly though and helpful.

Awesome. It was like a full one bedroom apartment complete with a full kitchen including a dishwasher. Also was a stocked kitchen with dishes etc.

The interior was very clean, there was a kitchen with utensils, cups, microwave, stovetop, water kettle, and keurig. The washroom came with small soap, shampoo, specific towels to wash off make-up with, two robes which was a nice touch, very quiet room, felt like a small apartment.

I don't like how the front entrance of the room doesn't have some kind of rug or place to put wet shoes, especially now that it is winter. If that would not be possible, some slippers would be nice to make sure the whole room is kept clean!

The location was perfectly close to everything my partner and I had planed to visit. The room was very spacious and clean. We didn’t use the full kitchen in the room, but it was nice to have. Overall great experience!

Our only complaint was that the TV in the bedroom didn’t really work, which was a bit disappointing but we still enjoyed the TV in the living room.

Location, clean and comfortable. Parking is relatively close and free after 6 pm.

A bit of a convoluted way to get checked in, otherwise all is fine.

Restaurant attached did not have enough staff on hand with the events that were going on.

The suite was very clean and had all amenities. Location is excellent within distance to shopping and many restaurants and transit.

Unfortunately the building is not accessible. However I was made aware of this before check-in, but the location was perfect so I made the decision to stay there regardless.

Not really a complaint but our truck would not fit in the parking garage with the city. The Restaurant staff was nice enough to let us park beside the restaurant overnight. Very accommodating staff.

We had a Suite which was very well equipped with a full kitchen. A lovely modern bathroom and an amazingly comfortable bed. Despite being right in the town centre, it was very quiet. The Hotel is a Historic building which has been beautifully restored with very tasteful furnishings from the grandfather clock in the hallway to the fresh flowers in the corridor outside our room.

Despite several efforts we couldn't get the bedroom TV to work. It was a Smart TV. Unfortunately we aren't very Smart so an instruction manual or advice sheet would have been helpful.

It was a mall parking lot down the street.

Parking once I found it was good! I arrived late at night so it was a little scary but all was good. Bottled water on the room would be good. Once morning hit I saw it was a good central location for going out and dinning options.
