The Christopher Hotel, Eton

Absolute gem of a place. So convenient! We have stayed there before and would not hesitate to do so again. You can park there for a reasonable fee (you are best to book your space I think) The breakfasts are excellent, so much choice and freshly cooked. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Just a short walk (very pleasant) into Windsor.

Erm.... nothing, fab place

Room 12 was excellent. Super clean and well presented. It was my wife’s birthday and without prompting they left chocolates in the room. Fantastic. There was also a car parking space saved for us with our name attached.

It was busy at breakfast and service was slow. The staff were great though. The car park entrance is tight, take care.

We went on one of the hottest day and it was impossible to sleep without AC and the fan were not enough. Room was really really dusty and you can imagine with the fan on what was going around the room , I m sorry because room and hotel it self it s really nice

A pleasant hotel in an excellent location. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good. The mattress was a little too soft for our preference, and carrying luggage up to the room was not very convenient because of the steep stairs. Apart from that, we had a very good stay and enjoyed our time at the hotel.

It’s a lovely hotel in an old building. The lobby and stairway could do with cleaning, however the room was nice and clean.

staff were exceptional, the food at breakfast was excellent. th rooms are on th small side but very well appointed and comfortable.

parking is a bit tight. I parked off site which was about a 2-3 min walk and a bit pricey but I would not allow that to put me off staying there in the future.

Room was newly renovated, clean and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent. Having parking in the centre of Eton was great.

The keycard only ever worked on the third attempt!! But did work then, every time.

The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.

The steep staircases leading up to the room were a no-go for the older generation or anybody with injuries. The stair carpet was dirty, and the paintwork was shabby. The room was spacious and tastefully designed but the furniture was scratched. It was also not possible to keep the window open.The price of the room was far too high for these standards.

Excellent location. Rarely do you get staff so eager to please. Excellent home cooked breakfast anything you wish for will be cooked. Helped with taxis and trips. Small self contained chalet type accommodation very clean excellent shower .

Beautiful, original bedrooms. Lovely bathroom with luxury products. Generous freshly prepared breakfasts. A nice welcome drink and very friendly and efficient staff throughout.

Brilliant find just a gem of a place with an amazing breakfast. Staff so friendly and accommodating. Lovely rooms, great comfy beds either way fresh clean lien. Facilities lovely. Would recommend this hotel it is well worth the money. Am going back there’s again.

I booked the Christopher Hotel for its location and close proximity to Windsor to meet friends for dinner. Also the route to the M4 was so easy without driving through one ways busy roads.

I have stayed several times so it met my expectation.

The staff were super helpful and friendly, and the location was superb. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was excellent.

I really liked the decor, it was cute, clean and comfortable but I think it needs a little bit of refreshing before it truly meets the description “boutique hotel”.

It was so hot in the room, the bathroom had no windows so was like a sauna. There was an alarm going off at breakfast that was really annoying, breakfast room wasn’t that clean

Sehr schönes, individuell gestaltetes Zimmer (Tapete und Bett war afrikanisch gestaltet). Optimale Lage zum Schloss Windsor und trotz Einflugsschneise nachts sehr ruhig. Das Personal beim Empfang und Frühstück war super freundlich. Die Qualität des Frühstücks war sehr gut. Es gibt kostenlose Schwerbehindertenparkplätze auf dem Hof.

Location was very good for stone and Windsor

Room decor and stairs and lobby landing decor a bit tired looking. No air con in room but lucky there was a Dyson fan and ceiling fan and it was not a heatwave but by morning it was very warm in the room.

Tolles Hotel mit besonderem Charme. Die Rezeptionistin war sehr nett und hat alles gut erklärt. Sehr saubere Zimmer, gut erhalten und renoviert. Frühstück konnte man bestellen was das Herz begehrt. Der Service beim Frühstück war sehr zuvorkommend und höflich. Sehr zentral gelegen. 7 min zu Fuss vom Windsor Castle entfernt. Parkplätze gegen Gebühr vorhanden. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

I missed out on getting a parking space but wasn’t aware until I arrived. Alternative parking was nearby but not convenient as it meant having to pay twice. Parking onsite is also quite tight for a SUV but we were aware of that.

Location excellent for Eaton exploration. Prebook parking, but mindful that some spaces are small. Breakfast is lovely. Have experienced rooms in both main building and newer rooms. Although main house had character, i prefer the newer rooms.

Very steep stairs to main building rooms - not that you can do anything about them. Very narrow entrance to carpark - can be navigated through, but with some care.

La chaleur a malheureusement rendu insupportable la chambre familiale qui ne bénéficiait pas de climatiseur et située au dernier étage. Uniquement des ventilateurs avec impossibilité d'ouvrir la fenêtre (15 cm maximum). On nous a proposé de changer de chambre, mais qui était également non climatisée En.eté et par forte chaleur les chambres familiales ne sont pas adaptées. Une climatisation serait primordiale ou laisser la possibilité d'ouvrir les fenêtres.

Great location, great breakfast, very small room but okay for overnight stay. The bathroom is in need of refurbishment but that is in hand. Allocated parking bay was great. Would be superb with a new bathroom.

Courtyard room was more than enough for us and very comfortable. The breakfast each day was excellent. The staff all the way from checkin to the breakfast staff were very good, very polite and couldn't do enough for you to make our stay very good.

Our room (9) in the main building was uncomfortably hot despite fully opening the window and using the fan provided. First night there we really struggled to sleep. Probably cosy in winter but best avoided in summer.

This is a true gem of a hotel and, at the price, it’s hard to believe there is a better value offering in Windsor. Big comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean and giant bathrooms. Everything you need in terms of kettle, drinks, fan etc Breakfast was superb. Cooked to order, excellent quality produce, served by friendly and helpful staff. And it’s the overall service and attitude of the staff which really sets The Christopher apart. They are excellent at what they do, making you feel welcomed and comfortable at all times.

The location is great. 5mins walk to the main town centre. Very easy. Great room, large bed. Decent sized bathroom. Breakfast superb!

The headboard was a bit noisy 🫠🙃 So, had to be careful for neighbouring rooms. Fan was in yhe wardrobe, and didnt find it until the next day unfortunately and needed it in the heatwave. Entrance to the car park was very narrow and the car park was very tight. We were lucky to have room to turn around the car at the back, but otherwise we would have struggled to get out.

Wij verbleven in aan aangepaste kamer die prima was. Voor het ontbijt konden we in het pub gedeelte eten. Het deel waar het ontbijt was had een drempel van 30 cm. Geen oprijplaat beschikbaar. Ontbijt vonden wij niet echt super. En het bar gedeelte niet super gezellig ingericht. Dit in verhouding met de prijs die je per na het betaald.

Drempel bij ontbijtzaal van 30 cm zonder oprijplaat. Kleine moeite om deze aan te schaffen.

Schönes Gebäude. Wir hatten ein Upgrade und somit ein großes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer. Parkmöglichkeit im Hof (muss reserviert werden und kostet 15 Pfund pro Tag). Freundliches Personal, leckeres Frühstück, gute Lage. In 10 Minuten ist man am Castle.

Extra Kosten für den Parkplatz. Info: Die Hofeinfahrt ist sehr schmal, wenn man ein größeres Auto hat, könnte es eng werden. Sehr enge und steile Treppen im Haupthaus. Hoher Preis (für unser Upgrade war der Preis okay, für ein normales Zimmer wäre es zu teuer gewesen). Das Zimmer ging zur Straße und es war sehr laut trotz geschlossener Fenster. Außerdem liegt Windsor in der Einflugschneise.

Buona posizione per visitare il castello di Windsor. Camera spaziosa e letto comodo. Bagno di buone dimensioni e ottima doccia. Purtroppo faceva molto caldo, l'hotel non ha aria condizionata e se, come noi, avete una camera sottotetto, anche se la sera fuori è fresco, in camera la temperatura è alta. Serve il ventilatore, che viene fornito, ma se si soffre il caldo può essere un problema.

La colazione me la aspettavo più di livello. Avevo letto buone recensioni e forse avevo aspettative troppo alte. Nella media. Rapporto qualità prezzo così così.

Die Lage in Windsornähe und die Parkmöglichkeit (wenn auch sehr eng) waren positiv. Auch das sehr freundliche Personal ist positiv zu vermerken. Frühstücksraum ist schön hell.

Das Zimmer im Nebengebäude war nicht sonderlich sauber. Autos und Personen direkt vorm Bett. Dunkel, alt, ungemütlich. Fast unglaublich, dass dies das teuerste Hotel auf der unserer Südenglandreise war. Man bezahlt hier nur für die Nähe zu Windsor. An anderen Orten wäre selbst der halbe Preis nicht gerechtfertigt gewesen.

Fabulous English breakfast with local produce(sometimes took a while to come but worth the wait) would recommend hotel to others

Nothing to dislike would return. Things to note. Easiest way to approach the entrance is from road opposite to negotiate a tight space but a Landrover discovery fitted without problem. No aircon but fans provided and opening windows in our premium room. A mini fridge would have been a bonus but water was given daily by housekeeping staff.
