I was very clear in the booking it was our engagement, and when the host asked if there was anything special with the trip I said we got engaged 30 minutes earlier, he said "cool" and put us in a corner room with an awful view.... Really made us feel special

Perfect location, nice large room, beautiful views of the lake. The beds, chair and couch were comfortable and there was a good desk where you can work.

There was a bedside table on only one side of the bed, no charging outlet near my side of the bed, no reading lamp on my side of the bed.

Bedsheets had a couple small stains on them, the bathtub also still had some “stuff” remaining. Everything else was clean though

The room was great, very comfortable, roomy, nice beds. I liked the look of the lobby and the lobby bar. The location was very convenient - not in the super-busy areas (so not over-congested), but it was very close to be able to walk to all the attractions we planned to go to, walk to the college campus, easy to get to the restaurants. The staff was very friendly, and we enjoyed the view of the water.

The only thing I didn't like was that, while there was onsite parking (which is a huge bonus), I thought the price was high to park there, and the parking spaces were very small. I could barely fit my vehicle into a space, and when someone parked next to me, I had to crawl in from the passenger side because I couldn't open my door. The other car was a mere inches from a cement post, so I know they could barely fit, too. I'm not sure if there was other parking available nearby that was more affordable and spacious, so maybe offer that option to the guests.

The room was large and comfortable and the view was gorgeous. It was close to many places we wanted to go. The food in the restaurant was delicious.

Tricky to find, parking is confusing and a real pain plus they charge 25.00 A day. Coffee provided in room is TERRIBLE, we felt a luxury chain charging what they charge would have decent coffee. No microwaves but they did bring one. Wake up call the morning we left never happened, were a bit late getting to our next venue.

The room was beautiful and well maintained. The view was beautiful of the lake.

The staff never disclosed that I would be charged $25 for parking in their lot. I assumed (clearly incorrectly) that any parking would be included in the room charge. I don’t mind paying for parking but the additional charge without any knowledge was a surprise.

Beautiful hotel, amazing amenities, location a bit hard ti get to with construction and one way streets. Parking is great under ground and elevator goes directly to the floor your on. However our room was next to another room that had a sound go on and off all night thst sounded like a car with a bad muffler in the distance.. very hard to sleep even with ear plugs in

Great hotel with amazing views of the Capitol. Attached to Monona Terrace. Only drawback is parking. Ramp down to the lowest levels. Tight spaces and one night had to park in the last space that was tiny.

Not a BIG deal, but the only thing keeping me from rating it a 10 was the furniture. Outdated and the seating chair was ripped.

Staying for Labor Day Weekend it just so happened to be Taste of Madison. This is an ideal location for that event. It was a 3 minute walk to the Capitol building. Along the arterial streets around there is a ton to do. Obviously with that said the location is ideal. Service was all excellent at the front desk and lobby bar. Weather was great so we had a coupe drinks in the courtyard area off the entrance. Food was really good at the restaurant. There is a walkway over toward the terrace where there is a cafe (unrelated to Hilton) and a great view of the lake. The room itself is showing a little wear. Bed and sofa were comfortable. The blower/cooler/thermostat were not really in sync. Each day the temp would change without us doing anything so it got warm at night/late morning. The fan also did not stay on and would turn on and off all night. That was super annoying. There was no working phone in the room….no wires at all. They said they could have someone fix it then but we just wanted to relax. Pool is really small and only 3ft deep all around. $25 overnight parking with in and out rights. All in all it is a solid place to stay.

The air conditioning in our room was so incredibly noisy we had trouble sleeping. Would wake us up every time it came on.

Very disappointed that windows couldn't be opened in room, so despite a lovely view of the lake, no fresh air, furnishings, artwork, carpet throughout hotel all felt very bland and dated, omelet was dry, toast was cold

We stayed here for a 3 day stay, and I was very impressed. Front desk was super friendly, great location, very modern and nice rooms, we had spectacular views from our corner room. The pool was clean and hot tub was big. The lounge on the floor was very quiet and peaceful and everyone was very attentive and friendly in there. Nice big tv, nice bed and bedding. Only hiccups we had was our room key never worked to leave the parking garage, so they had to buzz us out from the front desk. Not a big deal though. Overall, great Hilton, and we will be back!

We come up here yearly and have always enjoyed the hotel atmosphere, pleasant staff and accessibility to Monona Terrace. The pricing and proximity to downtown is also a plus and within walking distance to everything we enjoy doing.

Nice and close to the Capitol bldg. Restaurants and coffee shops walkable. Lakeview was a good surprise. We got to watch water skiers practice their jumps. Spent time to explore the Monona Terrace and it's Wright legacy.

The Hilton made my boyfriends and I anniversary so special! They gave us a beautiful room upgrade and sent up champagne to the room! It’s right in the middle of downtown so it’s definitely a great location to stay at! Thank you to Maria from the front desk that gave us a great check in!

The pool and hot tub were closed and that was the only reason we picked this location. We had to hunt on different floors to find ice.

Used to be a full service hotel. No more. No help with bags no valet. Staff seemed to try but honestly bit of a let down. 1st time back in a few years ,definitely degraded services In the room paper cups hot for drinks, a/c that just did not room not serviced at all for one night Executive lounge breakfast was really not edible. Mood on the fruit and the food was of such poor quality we gave up Comfy beds staff that are trying but overall a disappointing stay. Oh what has happened to the HILTON standards

I have some mixed feelings about this hotel. I always stay at a Hilton property. I found this one a bit disappointing for some reason since I will get into first off let me say this hotel is in an excellent location on Monona Lake the hotel even has a walkway with access to the lake And the community center.! The views from this hotel are absolutely beautiful! Let me add that they are not the only hotel down here on the lake you have options. They do have a restaurant on site with a very limited menu. The food was good not excellent. The staff is nice but not overly friendly like I’m used to at a Hilton. I asked them if I could use their helium tank to blow up a few balloons for a graduation party. Front staff casually stated she had no idea. So I continued to look at her until she said I will ask a manager and let you know. I then made sure she had my cell phone number. She never got back to me. There is no complementary coffee and tea here at this hotel you have to pay for it even just black coffee, which is also unusual for Hilton. There is no washer and dryer to use if you need to wash something. Again unusual for Hilton. this hotel also does not seem as clean as a typical Hilton. It’s filthy around the toilet in my bathroom when they came to freshen the room after two days no one bothered to vacuum I think this hotel is a little too comfortable with the fact that they are in a good location and by good I actually mean excellent they are close to the capital everything is within walking distance plenty of restaurants and coffee and you’re literally a block from the farmers market. They do it Saturday around the capital. But again, as I stated, there are several very nice hotels right here as well so you are certainly not limited to Hilton.Definitely not the caliber that I am used to from Hilton.

Awful experience. Nobody told me parking was $25! Checked in at 3pm, got a room number, but when I came back late at night they had given my room to someone else and switched me to a worse room at the last minute. Terrible water pressure. No soap.

Great location, room and view!

When I checked in I was given some attitude about parking. I was told there was a charging plug in lights by staff and there wasn’t. But when I asked for help or if I had missed it, I was talked to like I was a child by the man at the front desk. The lady was helpful and housing keeping was a saving grace with an extra plug. Sink cracked. Air conditioner/heater was very loud. Bed was ok. Stains in wood. Tv went in and out a few times. Ordered room service and it was not good for the price. I felt overcharged. On check out I felt lol and inconvenience to the gentleman at the desk. No smile, No thank you, just blank looks. When I arrived I was told oh you’ll likely have to park in public parking across the street. I have had better experiences in the past. This was less than desirable. I did not feel welcome and felt more like an inconvenience. With the exception of the housekeeping lady whom was excellent and the one lady that helped at the front desk.

Our stay was the best I cannot say enough about the cleanliness and comfortable room it was amazing!!!! The beds were very comfortable and the television top of the line the front desk clerks were very knowledgeable and very friendly to everyone.
