Staff was wonderful. Everyone from bartender to housekeeper! Train pick / drop off was very classy. Relaxing, inviting, and comfortable lounge bar.

Restaurant for dinner could be better. We would’ve preferred simpler, less salty, less “innovative” food.

We had such a wonderful stay! The room was sparkling clean, the views unbeatable (best views of the Eiger and valley in our opinion!), cozy spa, and exceptional guest services. When we noted the bed felt a little firm in passing, we were immediately offered an extra foam topper for comfort and to have house keeping flip the mattress to the softer side. Fred at reception gave us phenomenal recommendations for a local walk and picnic that became the highlight of our trip. Thank you!!

My sister and I stayed at this wonderful hotel at the end of July 2026. The hotel is located in the center of town. Minutes from the train Station and close to the center of town. The view from the hotel is breathtaking and the Alps and the Eiger at their head unfold before the eyes of those staying at the hotel. The view of the green valley are also amazing in their beauty. The hotel is located a 5-10 minute walk from the base of the cable cars leading to the main attraction in the area - Top of Europe. The distance to the second attraction - Grindelwald First is also not great, and a 5-10 minute walk also brings you to the base of the cable cars. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel staff helps with any problem and is willing to give advice to any traveler with a recommendation on the best way to make the most of their time in the area. There is parking at the hotel and as I remember it was free of charge. A rich and delicious breakfast, completed a wonderful and magical stay at the hotel.

Our stay at the Belvedere Swiss Quality Hotel in Grindelwald was absolutely wonderful and easily one of the highlights of our trip to Switzerland. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out. We were greeted with welcome drinks, which was such a thoughtful touch after traveling, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our entire stay. The service was exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was warm, attentive and incredibly helpful. It felt personal rather than simply professional, and that level of hospitality made such a difference when traveling as a family. And then there are the views ……..absolutely unmatched. Waking up to the mountains every morning honestly didn’t feel real. The scenery from the hotel is breathtaking, and it was one of those places where you find yourself just stopping to take it all in. The location was also perfect for exploring Grindelwald and the surrounding area, while still feeling peaceful and relaxing when we returned to the hotel. Our entire family loved our stay. Between the spectacular mountain views, wonderful service, welcoming atmosphere and thoughtful touches like the welcome drinks, the Belvedere delivered exactly what you hope for from a special hotel in the Swiss Alps. If we return to Grindelwald, there is no question where we will stay. We would come back to the Belvedere in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable room, excellent location, very friendly staff.

We had a great stay for 3 nights. We had a family room, 2 adults and 2 kids including one baby. My daughter slept on the sofa bed and my son slept with us together. The beds are so comfortable. Room is very clean. The best part is the amazing view from our private balcony - it’s incredible! And the location is so convenient, 2 mins walk to the train station. We had a wonderful time there. Will recommend this hotel to everyone .

Our stay here was wonderful! When you arrive the front desk staff is welcoming and wanting to help in every way possible. The hotel is clean and the room amenities make it comfortable. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the wait staff there goes above and beyond. We especially enjoyed our waiter Felix. Teddy, the piano player in the restaurant, provides such wonderful music as you enjoy your meal. Each staff member enhances your stay. We will definitely miss the people here and appreciate the fine service we received.

Busy large family-stay hotel. The room was adjacent to a room that can be interconnected if staying with large families, but the wall/door that serves to interconnect and can be opened is flimsy and not floor to ceiling, leaving lights and conversation from the other room to be right there.. as if within your own room. With small children next door that are busy and chatty that was a bit much and a real downer for a pricey hotel.

Room with view/corner room, we ate breakfast at the hotel every morning and dinner once. Super clean hotel, great location, and very friendly staff.

The hotel is lovely and a very easy walk from the train station. BUT, I just want anyone who choses to stay at this hotel ,will receive that VERY BEST services and attention to your every need. This is a very expensive hotel in a good location, with excellent views from the dining room. However, the overall experience and amenities did not match the price. The entrance felt dark and uninviting, and the carpets appeared dirty, giving the property more of a basic bed-and-breakfast feel than a luxury hotel. The room itself was clean, and the mattress was comfortable, but it was very simply equipped. The kettle was leaking, and basic items such as dental kits were only available upon request from reception. I am always happy to support a family-run business, but at this price point, I would expect breakfast to be included or, at minimum, better in-room amenities and attention to detail. The owners should also consider renovating the entrance so that it better reflects the quality of the rooms and the price being charged. The hotel is a little outside the village, although still within walking distance. A transfer is offered from one of the stations, but the distance is only about a five-minute walk, so it adds very little value. Overall, I did not feel the hotel offered good value for the price. If I returned to the area, I would likely choose one of the many chalet-style hotels instead.

We were a family of 6 and stayed for 4 nights. The service was exceptional, nothing too much trouble. Booking tours and tickets was so easy. Breakfasts were amazing and the view from the terrace is one of the best anywhere. A truly wonderful hotel; many thanks.

لم يعجبني تعامل الموظفين بعنجهيه وعنصريه رفض استعمال الشطاف للوضوء وتم تغريمي 500 فرنك بسبب استعمال الماء ف الحمام الفندق بعد الساعه 6 مساء يخرج منه الموظفين ونسمع اصوات والتكييف يطفي ويشتغل من نفسه وضيقه اعتقد انه مسكوون لايتم توفير ماء ف الغرف يقولون اشربو من ماء الحمام لايتم التنظيف فقط ترتيب السرير وعدم تغيير مفارش السرير الارض قذره والحمام يخرج منه رئحة قذره الافطار بيض وخبز وفواكه فقطط قامو باخراجي من الفندق الساعه 7 مساء بسبب استعمالي الشطاف للوضوء ولم يقدرو اني ام لاطفال يحاولون ياخذون غرامات بشتى الطرق لاانصح بهذا الفندق نهائي 👎🏻

Belvedere was a great experience. The room was spacious and we had a great balcony with view of the mountains. It was a 5 minute walk to downtown Grindelwald. We had a complimentary ride to/from the train station. The breakfast had something for everyone. A great start to a hiking day. Had dinner twice and both times the meals were delicious. Enjoyed the pools. The outdoor had jets that were relaxing after a long day of hiking.

This is our favourite hotel in the world. Fabulous location. Family run. The staff and family are very friendly and helpful and go the extra mile. The facilities and food very high quality. Highly recommended

O espaço do banho era inadequado com um chuveiro tipo cascata para a banheira na lateral incomodando e reduzindo o espaço do banho. O meu quarto (116) tinha uma vista ruim para um piso na lateral do hotel. A varanda não era confortável para estar. As toalhas não foram trocadas em alguns dias. Precisei trocar de quarto, e a funcionária da recepção às 11:15 ligou me apressando de uma forma um pouco rude. O café da manhã era muito bom, mas a reposição dos itens que acabavam era muito lenta. Reservamos na recepção o restaurante do hotel para jantar e me arrependi. Primeiro, a reserva não constava na lista, mas nos receberam. No entanto, era caro, não era muito bom e ainda desorganizado. Muitas moscas, assim como todo lugar em Grindelwald no verão.

Please make the outdoor jacuzzi an adults (18 and over) only area. When I'm trying to be quiet and relax with other adults, I don't need kids treating it like a swimming pool.

We stayed here for 5 nights and it’s is one of the nicest and friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in. We paid extra for an Eiger view room and the views from our balcony were simply amazing! We asked for a higher floor and a quiet room and the hotel delivered on both of those things. It was extremely hot during our stay but the air-con in the room was very good and efficient. Little extra touches made this hotel very special, we got free gifts delivered to our room on certain nights such as free popcorn one night and some lovely chocolates another. One night there was a meet the family evening where you were offered a free glass of wine and canapés by the family members who run the hotel - such a nice gesture. The spa and outdoor hot tub were good and also a couple of nights there was entertainment. We didn’t eat dinner in the hotel, bar service was a bit hit and miss as they always seemed very busy so we had to go and order at the bar ourself. The breakfast was just OK although maybe not as special as I would have hoped for. The hotel is a short walk from the train station but only if you cross over the platforms and use the back entrance of the station. We didn’t know this when arriving, but the hotel sent a car fee of charge to come and pick us up from the station which again was a lovely touch. Overall a very good experience with a short walk into Grindelwald centre and also to Grindelwald Terminal to catch the cable cars.

Perfect location! LOVED the view with all the chalets and of course the Eiger Mtn! We were greeted with a glass of wine and enjoyed the musician in the beautiful outdoors! Room was nice, clean, and oh the view was spectacular! Staff was so friendly and helpful as well. I loved that we were right outside the hustle and bustle of the town. Walkable but more serene at this location!!!

We stayed at the Hotel Belvedere for 2 nights and had a great stay. Absolutely no complaints. Great location, spotless rooms, great AC, beautiful views no matter what side of the hotel you stay on. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and had a wide array of options. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. They have a car that will take you to the train station-a Bentley! We felt like royalty. I would highly recommend this hotel and the fondue dinner in the gondola!!

Room number 115. Junior suite. Had hung green colored rope for room cleaning at 8 am in morning. But room, that is being charged 950 francs per day- was not cleaned till 2.40 PM. Had to call reception to request for room cleaning. This is my 5th hotel in Europe in last 15 days, and the most expensive one. The service is the worst. There is no coffee machine in the room. They charge 50 francs separately for it per day. Unbelievable. Never going to stay in Belvedere brand of hotels again. Breakfast spread is also pretty poor. Will be sending an email to their senior management as well.

We got a well-appointed and spacious room with grand views of the mountains and the valley. It was definitely worth the price. Hotel personnel were warm and hospitable, breakfast food was good, location is about a 5-10min walk to the train station. The only hiccup we encountered was the breakfast on our 2nd day. For the 1st 30mins of breakfast service, they had no warm food available due to an issue with the kitchen. It's not something you expect to see in a 4star hotel.

Great location, only 5 minutes walk from Grindelwald railway station, with wonderful views of the mountains and surrounding area. Very comfortable in both the public areas and ones own bedroom. Great facilities, including the swimming pool and jacuzzi within the Wellness Area, and in the bedroom. The latter had good blackout curtains, a very comfortable bed, excellent bathroom facilities and even a mini-bar with the initial contents provided courtesy of the hotel. We only used the restaurant for the purpose of breakfast during our 3 nights stay, but there was a large and varied selection of items from which to choose, all being very tasty. The staff were all very friendly and willing to help. There was a great team spirit. It definitely seemed as though nothing was too much trouble for them.

The shampoo & conditioner aren’t very good. Wish we were a floor higher as the hotel in front got in the way of the view a little. Wish there had been a rooftop accessible for full valley views to take advantage of the location.

Our stay at the Belvedere Swiss Quality Hotel in Grindelwald was truly one of the most special hotel experiences we have ever had. From the moment you walk into the hotel, you are immediately greeted with the most stunning and breathtaking views of the Jungfrau mountains. The views alone are unforgettable. As soon as we arrived and saw the scenery, we immediately requested to pay for an upgrade to a Mountain View room — and it was absolutely worth it. We stayed in a family suite, which was thoughtfully designed and perfect for traveling with children. Our two girls absolutely loved the bunk beds in their small separate room. The suite also included both a separate toilet room and a full-size bathroom with a shower and bathtub, which made the setup especially convenient for a family. Our balcony overlooking the mountains was another highlight, with truly spectacular views that we never got tired of admiring. Beyond the beautiful property itself, what really makes this hotel special is the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Everyone we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay feel personal and memorable. Our girls also had fun in the downstairs playroom, which included games, a pool table, table tennis, and other activities that kept them entertained after long days of exploring. One of the most memorable experiences of our stay was booking the hotel’s gondola fondue dinner experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and it created such a unique and special family memory that we will never forget. This is truly a one-of-a-kind property that combines breathtaking beauty, comfort, family friendliness, and exceptional hospitality. We would absolutely love to return someday.

We stayed with a group of 8 for a big birthday, and the staff were amazing. From our welcome drinks with a breathtaking view of the alps, to a wonderful on-site birthday dinner, to the proximity of the slopes, everything was perfect. It is hard to find truly welcoming accommodations, but the staff went above and beyond to anticipate our needs and make us feel wanted.

This was an outstanding hotel. We stayed for four nights, using Grindelwald as a base for many adventures in the region. The service quality, cleanliness and price value were exceptional. Fred E at checkin was a perfect host, taking care of our room (and a special treat for our anniversary) and offering a beverage upon arrival. We loved meeting Carole and Phil Hauser and experiencing their excellent guest service Sunday evening at the reception. We loved the breakfast in the morning - food and service were excellent. The spa, sauna, steam room and hot tubs were enjoyed after a long day of hiking and activities. Overall, this is a 10/10 hotel and we highly recommend it.
