Loved this hotel! So cozy, with delicious food, a beautiful location and wonderful service. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade to a Superior room with a terrace and stunning mountain views. Highly recommend!

It would be better to equip the room with air conditioners. As during summer time when you open. The veranda or window insects may enter the room.

The location is the best, just close to the station and around lot of restaurants. Our room was very spacious and with a nice view to the mountains. A baby crib has been provided to our baby.

Our room was too hot and the only thing we had was a small fan, even though we requested another one and they gently provided. But still not enough to a weather of 28 degrees. The restaurants are overpriced and the food was just good. The breakfast was also just ok, not impressive.

Pour une personne âgée , la baignoire n est pas très accessible ! Crainte de tomber , impossible d accéder à la douche sans entrer dans la baignoire !

７月の半ばに行きましたが、夕食のレストランは事前予約をしないと空きがなかったので事前にホテル側から聞いてほしかったです。

Restaurants.....four on sight, but kept telling us they were fully booked, when in fact they were virtually empty...couldn't even eat in the bar, because the kitchen wouldn't cook. Never been to a five-star hotel where they can't feed you....many other guests having same issue....very poor show indeed. Room cost £3600.....and not one of the four restaurants could feed us......and they were absolutely NOT full.....one night they even looked shut!

The view, the suite, the service, the Netflix option on TV!

The extras are a bit expensive. E.g. dinner, parking, etc..

The beds were a little uncomfy, no AC and very small fans. Also, there was a lot of mosquitoes in the hotel itself.

A spotless hotel. I got a very spacious room with excellent interior. Personnel's attitude, service and breakfast are top notch. Underground parking is available. The hotel is located very close to the train station - in Grindelwald the train station is your main gateway to the slopes, that is very convenient.

The sauna area is a bit compact, but sufficient.

This was the perfect place to stay. The location is great, the food is exceptional, but above all, the staff were attentive, informative, and very pleasant.

Der Ausblick vom Balkon zur Eigernordwand ist sehr schön.

Die Dusche in einer Badewanne ist nicht mehr ganz zeitgemäß.

I literally was amazed by the great location, the comfort in the room and how warm the staff were, additionally the view on Eiger Mountain was truly breathtaking

L’accueil du premier jour n’est pas digne d’un cinq etoile, en plus piscine fermée mais pas d’annonce sur Booking ni par e-mail. Le soir on n’a pas pu manger au restaurant car soit disant complet alors que l’on était tôt et qu’il n’y avait encore personne.

We stayed here for 3 nights in August and what an amazing hotel. The views are amazing, the rooms are absolutely beautiful and the staff really were every single one wonderful. A traditional hotel which has been decorated beautifully with a lovely bar area, great restaurant and also lovely spa. Every single member of staff was friendly with nothing too much trouble. Honestly cannot fault Hotel Romantik and we hope to be back soon.

The hotel structure and decor is very authentic to the region. The interior is very dated and tons of steps everywhere, including in my room to get to the bathroom, there were two steps. In the middle of the night that’s a hazard. Steps everywhere, in the dining room, in the spa, not handicap accessible that’s for sure. The pool is nice and the lounge chairs around the indoor pool are facing the Eiger which can’t be beat. However no outdoor hot tub nor indoor hot tub. Actually they have a private indoor hot tub for an additional fee of 120chf for an hour and upon reservation only. Franky, when you’re spending upwards of $1200 a night you shouldn’t have to pay extra to use the hot tub after a day of hiking or skiing. The sauna and steam room were nice. They don’t provide shower caps in the room nor did they replenish the cotton swabs etc. however the interior courtyard is very pretty and romantic. Dinners were delicious and on a high standard very fresh. However there were flies around the cheeses during breakfast. Also the rooms don’t have a/c so be prepared. We slept with the windows open. Staff is all very nice and it’s across the steeet from the train station. Seems like the hotel specializes in groups such as Backroads.

Arrived at the Hotel and the staff could not be more feiendly and helpful. Absolutely beautiful property with a swiss feel. Room was great , indoor pool with Sauna and showers . Restaurant was amazing and probably our best meal in Switzerland. Perfectly located right at the beginning of all the restaurants and shops in Grindenwald. Walk out the door and two minutes you are in the heart of everything. Walked to Grindenwald First as well. Would highly recommend and absolutely stay there again.

The hotel is located at a convenient place where is walking to train station and street around 2-3 minutes. The foods at hotel are delicious with excellent services. The view is very beautiful. It is only suggested the hotel inside should put more lights or directions to guide the customer.

Grindelwald is as perfect a swiss picture can get. You sit in a hotel with the most incredibile view of mountains and green pastures in front of you which you never get tired of watching and hiking during the day. This was our third visit and every time we explored new areas and villages. This time we chose this nice 5 star hotel in Swiss chalet style. It consists of an original building and a newer expansion in a more modern chalet style separate connected building. Everything of high quality and furnished with good taste in a rather contemporary Swiss way. A small garden in front of the hotel makes a nice place for breakfast and dinner. Buffet breakfast is very good. Dinner in the restaurant is ok. WIFI works very well. We had a Eiger view suite with balcony and very generous in size. The spa and indoor heated swimming pool is very nice. The hotel is on walking distance from the train station which is very practical. Staff is kind and well trained. My only critic would be they have no AC. Summers are hot and AC in a rated 5 star hotel is a must. Last time we lodged at the nearby other 5 star hotel of the town : the Belvedere, and they have AC.

Oustanding room (suite), location, view, infrastructure and services, staff, food. Impeccable altogether.

It does not come cheap (ex. parking at 25 chf on top of the suite price is exaggerated), but the overall quality is undeniable. Not the end of the world but... the water tenperature in the pool at 29 C is simply too cold.

Absolutely stunning hotel. The views from the hotel are phenomenal. The facilities and attention to detail within the hotel are superb. The staff are all helpful and can’t do enough for you. On a sunny day there are comfortable seating areas throughout the gardens of the hotel. The location is great. Highly recommended will return.

Simply the BEST dinners we have ever had! The chefs are so incredibly talented, the meals have been perfect! Also the waitresses are just so lovely, friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is perfect too, within 1 min walk to the Grindelwald Train Station. The pool and sauna areas are lovely too! You will not be disappointed! Stay here!

Ultimate Luxury in the beautiful town of Grindelwald and in lap of Swiss Alps. Most of the Rooms face the magnificent Eiger. Well spread breakfast every day. Good Dinning Options on the Menu. Swiss hospitality at its best with warmth and smile. Very comfortable stay. Great Spa.

The location is excellent amidst the alps but the rooms are far and disconnected. NO lift in some places. The phone was not working. the fridge was locked and no water was kept. Bath shower gel had not been filled up.

It was spacious accommodation close to the rail station and the bus stop which was very handy. The hotel is tired in need of modernisation. We didn’t mind this as much. Although one morning the water was gone. We were asked to keep all the taps open for the brown water to run which took a while. I didn’t expect this at such a hotel and thought we will get an apology of some kind but we didn’t. Breakfast was the same throughout our stay. Many times eggs and the rest of the warm food was cold. The staff at the breakfast was very attentive. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant. We liked the pool area. All in all it’s a mixed experience but despite some hiccups we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel and all the staff were superb. Everyone was friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. I felt very welcomed and looked after throughout my stay. The room was beautifully appointed with the most magnificent view. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. There is a very special charm to the Schweizerhof with a wonderful Swiss style throughout. The swimming pool and spa are great with fantastic views to the Eiger. I would totally recommend this place and I shall be returning.
