Location Very Friendly Staff
No afternoon bus into or out of town. The hotel is starting to age slightly. No walk in shower
The service was amazing! We enjoyed ourselves immensely. There was a guy named Antonetti who was in charge of the shuttles to the city center; he was amazing and attentive. The entire staff hosted us wonderfully.
Great hotel near Sorrento, met all our needs, rooms comfortable & clean, good size, lovely balcony. For our group we stayed in 3 Superior rooms and one good sized triple room for my teenagers. Breakfast was great and staff very attentive, helpful and friendly. The Shuttle service to/from Sorrento was brilliant bonus and as there were 9 in our party ranging from all ages, the driver did a couple of extra journeys to drop and collect us which was fantastic for our group. Pool was also excellent.
We are a little disappointed the reviews are good but I’m not sure the hotel is as good as the reviews. The free shuttle bus. You MUST book in advance or you can’t get on it. They never told us this and taxis are expensive ! Room very basic pool very small, breakfast was fine we didn’t eat in the evening so cannot comment. We just felt like we were asking for too much when we asked questions or for any help etc
An extremely welcoming friendly, well run hotel where they look after you. Everyone working in the hotel from the receptionists to the cleaners and those working in the restaurant and bar were so lovely and worked so hard to ensure you were looked after and your stay was a positive one. The room was lovely (we had a room on the first floor with a little balcony looking out over the outside bar and pool). The pool and jacuzzi was lovely and refreshing and the pool area/ sunbeds a nice environment to relax (although towards end of our stay the new people arriving started the sun bed saving and then disappearing leaving them empty with a towel on all morning when there was no need). We were on half board so enjoyed the tasty 4 course meal each night and breakfast. Both were top notch with great variety. Rooms super clean and on the whole very sound proof (just the person in the room above us liked to drag their chair around at night!). We used the courtesy bus most days to take us there and back into Sorrento. Just down the road is an excellent swim spot from the beach club. €5 for a deck chair. The snorkling is amazing. Highly recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was spectacular! Buffet with something for everyone.
Rooms and hotel are very dated and in need of refurb . It’s a 3 star at best ! Plus side shower was really good powerful and the staff are friendly . Mini bus into Sorrento is a big plus . Bars bit expensive 6 euros for half of beer and 4 for a coke ! Breakfast limited to be honest . Tried to upgrade to better room but there all the same style just different size and different view .
Just got back from an amazing week at the Hotel Caravel and Sorrento Italy. Second time there and as always an amazing time and experience. The place is perfect for a family holiday with nice hotel and pool. Great location too. The staff are absolutely amazing. The restaurant and food are a highlight Thank you to Angelo and Antonio and the rest of the restaurant staff. You make our holidays amazing. Thank you all so much. Was sad to leave.
Our second time at this gem of a hotel. Perfect location to n a very quiet area. We did book half board and the two nights we dined at the restaurant the food was perfect. However, there are so many lovely restaurants to try that on this trip we chose to sample some of them. The biggest asset of this hotel are the staff, Angelo the Maitre D’ is just wonderful. One of the reasons we returned was due to his warm and welcoming nature. We will definitely be back to Sorrento and we will very likely stay here again. Thanks Hotel Caravel for a wonderful stay and we hope to see you again.
We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of June / beginning of July. We really loved everything about this hotel and every member of staff is exeptional. They truly did everything they could to make our visit so pleasurable. The hotel it spotlessly clean and the shuttle service taking you into Sorrento was fabulous. We stayed half board which is something we have never done before and we can honestly say that we thoroughly enjoyed every meal and we are fussy! Sant' Agnello itself was a lovely town with plently of shops and a couple of supermarkets . It has a train station and a good local bus service. If we decide to go back to visit the area again we would definitely choose to stay here, as it was simply perfect.
My eldest daughter and I have recently returned from a lovely week at Hotel Caravel. We had a twin room overlooking the pool with a balcony which was welcome. We found the beds comfortable to sleep in and the bathroom ideal. Air conditioning was perfect. The pool area was just right for us. Not too busy and a quiet serene atmosphere. We always found a lounger. Towels were provided but perhaps take your own if you plan to go to the beach at the end of the road. The pool is the ideal size for this hotel and we particularly loved the jets near the stairs almost like a jacuzzi which came on every hour I think. The hotel is spotless and welcoming. Entertainment is low key with different musicians over the week e.g. guitar player or singer on another night. Just right. The courtesy shuttle into Sorrento is ideal if you want to get into the town quickly. You can walk the route and we enjoyed this. It takes about 20-25 minutes with a steady stroll. You must book the shuttle. I found the restaurant and the meals catered very well for our vegetarian diets. There were many options and every night there were some appetising options. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Hot and cold options and I could get used to the array of cakes on offer! The staff were friendly and accommodating in particular the restaurant team. We loved the area. We went by train to Pompeii - I’m happy to share information on how we arranged this. The Sant Angello station was very close to the hotel. We took the ferry to Positano which was beautiful. I’d return for sure.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at hotel caravel. The location in Sant’Agnello is excellent and it’s easy to get to Sorrento town centre with the free shuttle bus. Quiet by the pool with bar staff coming to take your drinks regularly. Breakfast was decent but Sorrento has too many nice restaurants for us to go for half board. The rooms were spotless and mini fridge restocked promptly, could do with slightly more storage space. Great value for money and would happily return. Dreadful with names but all the bar, restaurant, reception, and shuttle bus staff were brilliant!
This is a really lovely hotel and we had a wonderful holiday. It is a small and friendly hotel in tree lined street in a residential area of a town just 15 minutes walk from Sorrento or just a few minutes ride in the free shuttle bus that the hotel provides. It is just a 5 minute walk from a viewpoint overlooking the Sorrento coast and 5-10 minute walk from the town itself with small supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. We stayed here for 11 nights in July as a family in 2 adjacent rooms. The rooms were very clean, bright and modern with excellent air conditioning (vital this time of year) although not much storage for your clothes as there was a wardrobe and just 2 small drawers each. We had an incredible view of Vesuvius, the bay of Naples and the residences of the local surrounding area. The hotel has well tended gardens with some lovely seating areas outside. The hotel pool is small, but big enough and there were always plenty of loungers for everyone considering the small size of the hotel. There was often a musician such as a guitarist or singer in the evening who was lovely to listen to in the bar or outside. There are 2 sun terraces and the views from them were amazing. The staff of the hotel are very warm and welcoming, friendly and helpful. We wish to thank Georgia, Roberto, Marilara and Alessia on reception who all spoke English perfectly and helped us with our various queries each day. Also thanks to Antonio, our shuttle bus driver who was always on time. We stayed on a half board basis. The breakfast buffet was very nice but the 4 course dinners, chosen from a small set menu that changed every day were amazing. Angelo, the Maitre d’, was utterly charming and did everything he could to ensure you had a good meal. He even arranged for a Torta Caprese ( beautiful chocolate and hazelnut cake) to be brought to our table on my birthday. My daughters are vegetarian and he ensured that the vegetarian menu was brought to them each day and my one daughter ordered a tomato pasta dish each day that wasn’t even on the menu but which she had eaten the first day and enjoyed. The waiters were attentive, polite and helpful and we would like to particularly mention Anura and also Antonio, who was absolutely delightful and very funny with his entirely accurate English colloquialisms! This was the first time we have visited Hotel Caravel but will most definitely be back. We heartedly recommend it.
Had such a lovely time at this hotel, and what really makes it are the staff. They really want to make this hotel shine, and they certainly did that. Always a friendly face and a happy smile. We stayed for two weeks as we thought it was a good base for getting around Sorrento and the Campania area and it worked out really well as it was close to the train station but also just 20 minutes to walk into the centre or you could get the shuttle bus they put on regularly during the day which would save the legs. Big thanks to Carmela, our cleaner, who was fantastic - room was always spotless and she always had a smile on her face! And also to all the bar and waiting staff, particularly Angelo and Ninu who made our stay fantastic, always having a laugh and a joke but making sure we were looked after and also giving hints and tips for things to see and places to go. It was a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel!
Hotel Caravel is a beautiful hotel in a great location in Sant'Agnello, with easy access to everything. The hotel and its amenities are exceptionally clean, and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. I would particularly like to mention Angelo and Antonio in the dining room, who looked after us throughout our stay. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated that they made sure I had a different meal every day. We were especially impressed on our first night when we arrived at the hotel late. The chef had thoughtfully left dinner for us in the restaurant, which was a lovely gesture. We chose the half-board option and ate at the hotel every evening. The food was authentic, delicious, and so good that we never felt the need to eat elsewhere. There is a shuttle service to the town centre every half hour, which is very convenient. I would highly recommend Hotel Caravel to anyone visiting the Sorrento area.
Hotel Caravel was in a great location, the free shuttle bus into Sorrento was so good and efficient. The pool was Beautiful and we never had trouble finding a sun bed. The water was clean and warm. The restaurant staff were absolutely amazing, all very friendly but Angelo and Antonio were outstanding. I do feel that the food lets the hotel down, the amount of starters and first courses is varied, but main courses were a let down only offering a few dishes of not a great standard, some being obscure. The room was very clean and our maid was excellent cleaning our room beautifully each day and getting us extra pillows as needed. The drinks in the hotel were a little pricey, as were the lunch options. The entertainment was okay, but the barman insisted on telling the guitarist to quieten down when he actually had people engaged with his music. Overall a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, could have been perfect with a better menu.
My husband and I recently returned from a 10 night stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. What really makes this hotel special is the excellent hospitality. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly in the restaurant. A special mention goes to Angelo, who was always welcoming, professional, and made us feel very well looked after (while also appreciating my husband’s attempts at speaking Italian!) Room Our room was a good size, with plenty of storage, and was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay with clean towels whenever required. Food The food was one of the highlights of our stay. Breakfast offered a good selection, including hot food, bread, pastries, cakes, cereals, yogurt, and fresh fruit. You can also order omelettes and fried eggs, along with your choice of coffee or tea, and the cappuccinos were excellent. The hotel serves a four course evening meal, and the quality was consistently very good. We enjoyed it so much that we chose to eat at the hotel on most evenings rather than going elsewhere. Facilities The swimming pool area was also excellent. The pool itself is a good size, and the attached spa pool was a lovely bonus. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, so it was easy to relax without needing to reserve one early. The surrounding gardens and seating areas are kept immaculate. There is evening entertainment most nights, which, although low-key, was perfectly enjoyable. Location The hotel is in a fantastic, peaceful location, just a 15–20 minute walk into the centre of Sorrento. Before travelling, we had read a few reviews saying the road into town was very busy and unpleasant to walk along, but we honestly found it absolutely fine and had no issues walking in. The hotel also offers an excellent free shuttle bus, which can be booked in advance, and we used this a few times as well. Sant’Agnello has a few restaurants and bars just a very short walk away, which we found to be very good and reasonably priced. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to Hotel Caravel on our next visit to Sorrento.
Convenience and availability of the shuttle
Loved this hotel !! Staff were excellent especially the dining staff. The main manager Angelo was amazing super friendly and very accommodating. Overall the value for money is great, Dinner was great and so was breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re coming to Sorrento. Will definitely be coming back in a few years time. Thank you for a great holiday :)
This hotel was advertised as small and friendly and that is exactly as we found it. The hotel location was great for us, situated just on the northern edge of Sorrento in the area of Sant Agnello, it was nicely away from the hustle and bustle of central Sorrento. We were at the time of booking a little apprehensive about it being slightly out of the centre, but it’s only a 20 minute walk into the centre and more or less flat all the way. If you do have mobility issues or don’t fancy walking, the hotel runs a great free shuttle.service throughout the day and evening, which is easily booked at reception. The rooms were traditional, clean and had all the facilities you would expect. The rooms were cleaned each day and we never encountered any noise issues during our stay. The clientele were usually couples and of various nationalities. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful. A special mention must go to Angelo (front of house) and all the restaurant staff who we found extremely friendly and very organised both at breakfast and for the evening meal. The food was very good and varied and we were pleased with our decision to go half board. The hotel swimming pool was a civilised affair, no getting up and reserving sunbeds with towels. We went at various times of the day and always got loungers. In the evening, entertainment was of a low key nature, but still enjoyable. We really enjoyed our stay at the Caravel and would definitely come back. It was a perfect base for Sorrento and trips to Capri, Pompeii, and the Amalfi coastal towns.
Great little hotel, 20 mins walk to centre or the shuttle bus is an added bonus and runs all day. Room was clean and comfortable, pool area nice, plenty of loungers available. Breakfast was good with choice of cereals, pastries hot and cold items. Eggs to order. All staff were great, inc on reception, and in the restaurant. My only negative comments would be not enough staff serving drinks and food around pool some days and evening meal, while a lot to choose from was a bit basic at times and felt a bit like school dinners!
Staff were very helpful. Shuttle bus into Sorrento Lots of sunbeds around the pool.
Lunches - really poor quality especially the presentation. It’s like the chef didn’t work at lunchtime so junior staff ran the kitchen! Also breakfast - good selection but why can you only have cooked eggs after 8am when service starts at 7?
Great place to stay, staff are amazing, food is excellent, free coach to and from Sorrento town centre is a bonus.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were always friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. The location was also great and made it easy to explore the area. A special thank you to Antonio, the shuttle bus driver. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always made us feel comfortable. He is an excellent driver, and every journey with him felt safe and enjoyable. He really made our stay even better. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back!
The pool was nice
The facilities were quite outdated
Visited for our 40th Wedding Anniversary and were delighted with everything we got at The Caraval. It is a typical small Italian Hotel, the room was a comfortable size with great Aircon and a mini bar. My only gripe was that it did not have a walk in shower, just a bath. The hotel is a 15/20 minute walk into Sorrento centre, but th white, offers a free shuttle service every 30 minutes. The facilities at the Hotel were great with a good bar and waiter service from Guiseppi & the team, who also kept us supplied with ice when my wife sprained her ankle. An excellent pool and garden area, so no need to reserve sun beds as they were always available and mostly with parasols. The hotel also supplied beach towels free of charge. The food was excellent, with a good breakfast, but best of all was the waiter service for Dinner, Angelo the Maitre D was always welcoming and his staff including Manu were always on the go and very attentive to your needs. We really enjoyed our stay and the welcome we got and look forward to returning.
We arrived on 15th June 2026. First impressions were the staff more than helpful . We have stayed for 2 weeks half board and can say the dinners are similar as you would get in any top flight restaurant. Breakfast semi self service if you need freshly made omelette or fried eggs they will be served to your table.. Every taste catered for. A very nice swimming pool with ample sun loungers and shady seating. If you want a corporate run establishment this is not for you. Privately owned that look after their employees as we found out with such happy and efficient service. The hotel is in a quiet road 5 minuets walk from busy Sant Agnielo and about 10 minuets from Sorrento center. This is reached by the hotels free curtesy minibus that runs every half hour until 11.30pm Everywhere was clean and yes the bedrooms may not be as large as some but in tempretures of 38c the air conditioning was soo good and the room maids so very nice. The evenings had light music from entertainers . Not over the top but just nice background .excellent bar service . With all you can see and do in this area my wife and myself were pleased we did the research and found this perfect place to stay. Thank you all very much at Caravel!
Our first trip to the Sorrento area and the main purpose was for our Niece's wedding on the 18th June. We decided to travel out on the 10th and have a weeks break before the wedding and boy we are so glad we did. We chose the Hotel caravel based on location, size and reviews and in all three it was brilliant. From the emails we sent before we travelled to the welcome upon arrival, the room, the food, the facilities BUT most of all the Staff. Every single one from the reception staff, to our daily cleaning lady to Angelo and his team in the restaurant, and the wonderful mini bus driver who took us in to, and back from Sorrento a number of time. They are all world class in terms of friendliness, excellence and support. We have been lucky enough to have travelled to a number of different cities in Europe and beyond and the Hotel Caravel is up in the top 5% of those we have stayed in. Every review is a personal one, and what worked for my wife and I might be viewed differently by others. But for us we cannot praise the hotel and the staff enough. Thank you to all of you at the hotel for making our 10 day stay so lovely. We hope to see you all again one day. Ciao.
room with balcony, Good variety for breakfast. Comfortable clean public areas and pool. Roof terrace with great view. Nicely planted flowers/ in communal area Great to have shuttle bus
We have just returned from a fantastic week at Hotel Caravel and already can’t wait to come back. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and impeccably maintained. Our room was immaculate every single day thanks to the wonderful housekeeping team, who did an amazing job throughout our stay. The restaurant staff truly made our holiday extra special. My sister is both gluten and dairy free, and the team could not have been more accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they went above and beyond to ensure she always had delicious options to enjoy. A special thank you must go to Angelo, who is simply incredible. He keeps the whole restaurant running so smoothly and is always so helpful, welcoming and professional. He made every meal a pleasure. We would also like to thank Anura and Daniele, who were both so kind, attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The service from everyone at Hotel Caravel was exceptional and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived until the day we left. Thank you all for such a wonderful holiday – we made some lovely memories and cannot wait to return! Julia, Olivia and Hollie
This is a fabulous hotel we went there for my sisters wedding anniversary. The staff could not do enough for us and made the celebration perfect, table was decorated beautifully and they even made us a special cake, a very special thank you to Angelo who was amazing and the Food was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.😘
Cannot fault this hotel. Spent 11 nights here and loved every minute. Staff are polite and attentive, rooms are spotlessly cleaned daily. Stayed as half board and there is absolutely nothing wrong with breakfast or dinner options. Restaurant staff are amazing. Huge praise to Angelo, Ninu, and Antonio, plus all the team. Great location, 15-20 minute walk from Sorrento centre, a nice distance to walk your meal off ot their is a hotel shuttle bus available. Have laid a lot more for hotels nearby and received a lot less. Highly recommended and will return again to this hotel
JUst spent a wonderful week at Hotel Caravel. The highlight has to be the restaurant which Angelo oversees with style and panache whilst Maria looks after guests' tables. The hotel is ina quiet area about 20 minutes walk to Sorrento main square or just 5 and 10 minutes walk to local bus stop or St Agnello railway station respectively.
Spent a week at this hotel for our Honeymoon and had the best time. The room was spacious, with excellent AC. The rooms were cleaned every day and done very well. There was no loud noises. The front desk staff were very kind and efficient. There is a pool, which we didn't take advantage of but looked very nice, and sun loungers as well. There is also a bar downstairs and you can have your drinks inside or outside. If you wish to pay card, you must pay at the front desk as the bar is cash only but that's fine. The restaurant staff were also so friendly and professional. The shuttle is free but you do have to secure your place so make sure to do that. You just pick a time to go in to Sorrento - and a time to leave Sorrento. It's every half hour I believe but there is no bus from 3-5 I believe? I could be wrong about the time. The driver is so nice as well, a real gentleman. Otherwise, it's about a 20 minute walk into Sorrento and honestly, it's a nice walk. I do recommend this hotel highly.
Lovely quiet Hotel with amazingly friendly staff, just nicely tucked out of the way on the outskirts of Sorrento. Our room had great views of the mountains and the sea and from the hotel upstairs terrace you can get a superb view of Vesuvius. We were half board and had a wide variety of lovely food all served by a dedicated team of Mariu, Viktoria, Natalia and all conducted by the Maestro headwaiter Angelo. Mariu even helped my wife to practice and learn a few essential Italian words and phrases. On an evening there was live music every day except Saturdays so it was nice to sit and relax after dinner in the garden area with a drink or two. The Hotel provides a free minibus transfers to and from Sorrento throughout the day and evening. Lovely pool area with plenty of loungers. Easy access to nice eateries within an easy walk for lunches if required. Our room was cleaned to a high standard and was quite modern compared to most Italian Hotels, although a bit more storage space would have been nice. We will definitely return to this little gem.
Wonderful holiday. We just spent a week at the hotel Caravel .we were half board. Location is perfect. Few minutes outside Sorrento but the hotel has a free shuttle that brings you in and out of Sorrento. The room with a small balcony was lovely. The meals were diversified and beautifully presented every night but what really makes your stay is the staff. The reception staff are always very pleasant and helpful. The cleaning staff do a great job.The bar staff are lovely.Angelo and his team in the dining room (Mariu,Victoria and Natalia to name a few) are just amazing. They make each guest feel special and always have a smile. Wonderful memories of this very special hotel.
Had a wonderful break here. All the staff from reception, restaurant, bar and housekeeping were wonderful. All very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you for a comfortable and relaxing break. Would recommend. Good access with the bus shuttle provided for free to/from Sorrento but also a short walk into the town of Sant'Agnello. Also, homemade breads made daily.
Best part of this hotel is Angelo the head waiter. He was so attentive and always greeted us with a smile and warm welcome. Angelo always made sure we had something we liked for dinner. He is the biggest asset to this hotel. Also big shout out to Maria who was also friendly and welcoming. Great location and fantastic shuttle bus into Sorrento. Hotel room fairly basic and not enough storage shelves/drawers. The females in reception were not particularly welcoming or friendly and don't give a good first impression of the hotel.
Booked this Hotel based on the reviews, and I think really they are based on some on the staff who are incredibly nice. The hotel is a very nice looking building based around 25 minutes walk from Sorrento , it is a long and quite dangerous walk on very busy roads , there is a shuttle bus which takes you to and from but is only bookable in advance and does not run in the afternoons or after 22.30, so we did end doing the walk quite a bit, Internally the Hotel needs a lot of updating, the rooms are very old , decor is early 1980s and we paid extra for a balcony which overlooked the Kitchen roof and in 40s years of travel it’s first time I’ve never sat on the balcony, it was so unappealing, others we spoke to seemed to have different problems, as all rooms seem to be different, noise , lack of storage etc . The room was cleaned each day, but the balcony wasn’t the whole stay and common areas , like stairs were dirty with dead fly’s ,, Which were there the whole time we were there. We were half board and are Vegan, I emailed the hotel two months before to ask if they could accommodate this and they said yes no problem and tbf they did, but we were made to feel very odd, a big fuss was made over us eating every night and the four course menu for the other guests changed every night , ours didn’t , we were expected to eat the same food for 7 straight nights and be greatful, only two of the nights were we given a desert and it was as if we had been given as massive gift , eveyone else had four or five choices a night .We went into Sorrento for two nights as we could stand anymore The food on the whole seemed quite low quality and cheap , the restaurant staff manager is very pleasant and makes you feel very welcome but the staff seem to be arguing amongst them selves a lot and they were heated moments in front of us quite often We paid a lot of money to stay in a 4 star hotel and this is a 2 and half star at best , we also spent a lot of money on the incidentals ,like drinks with meals at the bar , which is where you have to go at night as there is really not much choice in the area, it’s basically a lounge with three entertainers rotating the nights, singing the same 6 songs to a very elderly crowd, it’s very boring and has no atmosphere , felt like a care home at night. When we left we were given a bill for our stay which we felt was overcharged and wrong but there is no breakdown on expenses just, 30 euros and a date so you cannot argue it, there is no system in place and the staff just uses scraps of paper with room numbers written on , so it’s all a mess and I’m sure we paid other peoples bills and vice versa. When we checked out the miserable blonde woman on reception didn’t ask if we had a nice stay or anything… and the restaurant manger just said please write a good review.. which I think says a lot…..
We had such an incredible trip. The hotel is well kept and the food was delicious, but the service is what really sets it apart. Everyone was so welcoming. Antonio was an amazing driver and gave us the best tips for local spots we wouldn’t have found on our own. Mikayla and Kuba were also so thoughtful in how they personalized our experience! It made the trip feel extra special. Such a smooth, memorable stay!
Staff was great!
Nice location
Amazing breakfast..nice pool area and lounge.. A good gym.
Beds..requested a double was given two singles together.
2nd time staying here as it’s just so lovely. Stayed with teen daughter who loves it. Hotel and rooms are spotless. The grounds are maintained lovely too. Small pool but does the job and offers a lovely relaxing space. The staff are fabulous. Special mention to Angelo. Mariu. Nino and the bar guys, all fab and make everyone feel special. Food was great. Always a good variety to choose from. It’s a small hotel with a big heart so not for guests who want non stop entertainment but the locale is spot on with town an easy walk or the free bus every half an hour into Sorrento which is great for restaurants and bars and sightseeing if you so wish Only downside was we had a standard room with no balcony which I missed from our visit last year. So get a balcony. It makes the difference. Thanks guys we will be back again
Lovely hotel. Room was comfortable. Cleaners in every day. Food was very good with great service from resteraunt manager Angelo and his staff. Nice pool area very well maintained. Free courtesy bus to Sorrento was a real bonus. Staff in general were very helpful.
Nichts!
Lovely traditional hotel. Great atmosphere. Excellent service all round. Cleaners always smile. Reception always friendly and polite and helpful. Restaurant staff work as an amazing team always make you welcome. Food good. The manager Angelo was very nice and a pleasure to meet. Shuttle bus excellent. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Sorrento . Pat Mee and Wendy Lawson.
Breakfast was fabulous, great selection of food and 1st class service from everyone …. We honestly could not fault anything.
There was nothing we didn’t like, I would highly recommend this hotel
A lovely friendly place to stay. It is clean, the food is delicious, the staff are amazing. Definitely will be coming back
I am writing this review only for Angelo. He’s the sweetest and the nicest man I have come across. Ever since we set foot in the premises he’s endured we feel safe and welcome. His genuine smile and way to greet and take care is very homely. The hotel is good and food variety and quality is good too. Angelo is someone I loved in span of two days and I wish I meet him again soon! Thank you so much
Booked a last minute 3 night stay here through On The Beach. I normally do my research before going on holiday but with booking just 6 days in advance there was very little time and not much availability, so I opted for Hotel Caravel. We arrived via the Curreri bus and walked the short distance to the hotel - no more than 10mins with a suitcase. Check in was fine and we were allocated room 312. A nice large room with a balcony. Yes the balcony is small but it was perfectly adequate. The room was very clean. The only downside was the mattress wasn't the most comfortable, but it wasn't awful. We were bed & breakfast and that suited me fine. I enjoyed trying different places to eat in Sorrento. (We went to IL Ruttino the first evening as its a couple of doors down - I wasn't impressed with the food or the cost, but everywhere I ate in downtown Sorrento was lovely). The staff were all friendly and polite and we enjoyed our stay. There were a couple of minor things which included the bed wasn't that comfortable and the shuttle bus wasn't quite as good as I was anticipating. You had to pre-book for every journey. You couldn't just hop on if it wasn't full. How do you know how long you are going to be downtown? So the first few days we walked as I was told they needed to know a return time, but then a different member of staff on reception said just ring us and we will arrange the time. Why they couldn't say that in the first place I'm not sure, but the walk was fine. Overall though we had a great stay and I would definitely consider staying here again and recommending to anyone wanting to holiday in Sorrento.
zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel zeer goede service. ontbijt uitstekend kan niet beter. zwembad aanwezig en mooi, maar niet van toepassing voor ons kortom een geweldig hotel door alle jaren heen
absoluut niets
Great Hotel, Outstanding Staff. Stayed for a week recently and were really well treated by every member of staff (special mentions to Angelo, Nino & Ibrahim). Hotel is 1.5km from Railway Station which is walkable but there is a Hotel Bus Shuttle Service every half hour which is brilliant. Entertainment every night, great bar staff. Wide range of food at breakfast and dinner. Rooms are spotless and cleaned every day. Would definitely stay again.
vicinanza al mare
il letto davvero troppo duro perché del tipo vecchio
What a lovely hotel and very clean, we had a balcony room on the front with a side view to the sea which was really nice, wonderful view of Mount Vesuvius from the upstairs terrace. The staff are all excellent, the food was really good with plenty of choice and always served with a smile, it’s really nice to be greeted every day by Angelo the restaurant manager. It’s in a nice area about a 20-25 minute walk into Sorrento but there’s a courtesy bus that runs every 30 minutes if you don’t want to walk. A few nice bars and restaurants only a few minutes walk away if you fancy a change from the hotel. We would definitely stay at this hotel if we return to Sorrento.
Hotel Caravel – Hotel Caravel has several positives. The location is good, with the coast and town centre around a 15-minute walk away, and the hotel also offers a free shuttle bus, which is useful. The staff were very polite, friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The pool area was pleasant enough and well kept. Our room was a double/twin on the top floor with side sea and mountain views, which was nice. However, the balcony was extremely small. There were two chairs but no table, so it was difficult to sit out comfortably with a drink. One thing to be aware of is the cost of drinks. A half Peroni was €6, which felt very expensive. As drinks can be charged to the room, it would be easy to get a surprise bill at the end of the stay. Because of this, we were cautious about ordering drinks in the hotel. The room fridge was stocked with Peroni, small Cokes, prosecco, water and wine. We initially thought these items may have been complimentary, but later found out they were charged at quite high prices. I think this should be made much clearer, ideally with pricing displayed clearly on the fridge. The food was not really to our taste. Evening meals were fixed menus with a choice of a few dishes. Some of the options felt a little too formal for us, such as rabbit, veal and duck. The pasta was okay, but not hot enough for my preference. Overall, the hotel has good staff and a decent location, but it was not quite the right fit for us. We left feeling disappointed with the holiday and actually came home two days early. Others may enjoy it more, but for us it was a bit of a “Marmite” experience.
Lovely rooms with fantastic back drop of Vesuvius. Angello in the restaurant was very helpful. I loved all the main courses (I usually had fish) the starters were a bit hit and miss
We was at this hotel for a week in mid- April for a holiday with my fiancée. I cannot fault the hotel at all. The food and restaurant area were superb and I cannot fault any of the meals we had. We booked half board and was always a joy to look forward to the meals. A special thank you to Angelo the restaurant manager who kept everything ticking along nicely and all the staff who were very attentive to all orders and allergies mentioned. The location was great for walking into Sorrento town, its around a 20 to 25 minute walk - their is a courtesy bus that takes you there and you can book a time to return, only slight issue was that sometimes the bus was full and thus the option to return from Sorrento would take longer than expected until the next bus time being available. The rooms were of a nice size and the one we had was on the top floor, we have a view of the area which was nice. From the terrace at the top, there is a superb view of Vesuvius - and thus its well worth the visit for the view alone. We had a great stay and would look to book again in the future.
I chose this hotel based on 2 things. Firstly, the quality of the reviews and secondly, the fact that the manager, Carlos, responded to every review posted. It did not disappoint! I feel a hotel should be judged on cleanliness, friendliness and the quality of the food. On all 3 fronts this hotel excelled. Cleanliness: My wife has very high standards of cleanliness and the first thing she said when we walked into our room was wow this is clean. It really was spotless. Friendliness: All the staff that we encountered couldn’t do enough to make our stay as trouble free and as enjoyable as possible. Food; This was fantastic. I wish we had done half board and not B&B. The breakfast was all delicious and a really great variety and choice and the one night we dined at the restaurant made me wish we had dined there every night. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and if we go and stay in the region again we will be going here. It is less than 10 minutes’ walk to the train station with lines to Pompeii, Vesuvius and Herculaneum and less than a 20n minute walk to Sorento town centre.
I had a nice trip here. I loved especially one of the summer workers named Micheal Angelo!! He was fun 🤩
Muy bueno el desayuno, la atencion excelente y servicio de traslado al centro de Sorrento
Todo muy bien!!
A friend & I spent a week at Hotel Caravel, half board, in October. We had a comfortable room, food was good & lovely staff. Fully recommended.
We had a five night stay (we booked half board with jet2). Location was great with approx 20 minute walk into Sorrento. Reception staff were excellent and help us book all our excursions which we found reasonable. The evening meals were excellent, along with the staff. Thanks to all for making us feel welcome.
We had a really lovely stay at this hotel. All the staff were excellent, we both highly recommend. Every evening plenty of choice on the menu, Anglo the head waiter, made our evenings. All staff on reception & in lounge were all very friendly and attentive. A short walk takes you to am amazing view point of the bay of Naples. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day soon.
Excellent location with only about a 30 min walk into Sorrento although the hotel offers a regular shuttle bus service during the day and evening. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and there is an ample hot and cold buffet breakfast with a 4 course evening meal which should cater for everyone's tastes enhanced by excellent service and a warm welcome every day by Angelo its Maître De. The staff throughout the hotel ensure that your stay is a pleasurable experience providing a lasting memory of an enjoyable stay.
The hotel is situated down a one way street but don't let that put you off. The hotel is clean, well decorated, but some of the rooms may be a bit dated. Our room was not particularly good so they changed us to another, much better and bigger. The staff are so helpful. The meals are 4 courses, which I wasn't expecting, so good and the choice is excellent, including vegetarian. It has a daily shuttle bus service into Sorrento, entertainment every evening. The restaurant staff are the best especially Angelo, who is the head waiter, he can't do enough to make sure everything is what you want, if not he will go out of his way to do another meal that you prefer. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We spent a week half board at the Hotel Caravel bringing our Italian adventure to an end. It was the perfect place to unwind after the manic time we'd had prior to arriving. Located in Sant Agnello the hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the heart of Sorrento itself. If you don't fancy the walk the hotel provides a free shuttlebus to the main parking area every 30 minutes from 0900 and that operates for most of the day. Five minutes straight down the road take you to a fantastic viewpoint whene you can get some great pictures of Sorrento Bay and the sunsets. We had a lovely room on the first floor with plenty of space and a good sized bathroom. It was quite light and airy with a comfortable large double bed, TV, minibar and a free safe. There was plenty of storage and hanging space and it was very clean. There were tea and coffee making facilites although we never used them. Deliberate or not, when you entered the room and turned on the power the TV came on and was on CNN in English which I thought was a nice touch. (Wifey however felt it was an annoyance as she's not a telly addict when we are away) There was a good shower in the bathroom with both a spray and monsoon head both of which had good flow pressure. Obviously a toilet and bidet and a sink with a large mirror in front of it. Breakfast was plentiful with a huge variety of cereals, continental and hot options. Coffee and tea are served to the table by the lovely staff who go out of their way to be as helpful as possible. Note - the coffee is proper wake up juice, you may need to add a little water if you are not so keen on the strong stuff. Dinner is quite simply excellent. Four courses every night (if you can manage four) with a number of different options for each course. In terms of first and second plates there were no repeated dishes at all during our week there. My only disappointment was somehow I missed out on a Tiramisu. A special mention here to Angelo who was the restaurant manager and exuded charm and style, whilst all the time keeping a careful watch on everything going on. All the staff were great. The bar is reasonably priced and there was an entertainer every night barring Sunday. The entertainers were all pretty good and not too loud either. there is a nice terrace area around the pool and two seperate roof terraces with sunbeds and a hotline to order those all important drinks. The pool itself was never that busy but was not heated. Being a bit of a wuss it took a while to get in and things definitely shrunk because of the cold! ;-) All in all this is a great hotel in a nice location without being in the heart if the action. The staff are all very good, polite and helpful. I'd happily stay here again if we are even back in the area.
Fantastic hospitality from all staff at this hotel from the moment we arrived, Special mention goes to Angelo and his wonderful restaurant staff who work tirelessly making sure everything is ok, also time to chat when not busy, breakfast was usually buffet style and dinner was plentiful, a 4 course meal with waiter service, The entire hotel is kept spotlessly clean by the maids and maintenance staff, For us the location was perfect as we don’t like to be in the resort centres, A pleasant 20 min walk takes you to the main square , alternatively book the free shuttle , this takes just 5mins ! For anyone thinking of booking this hotel, you certainly won’t be disappointed, We would have no hesitation in rebooking here should we return in the future, Many thanks Jane and Simon
We visited this lovely hotel for two weeks from 26th September, which was an excellent choice. The hotel has everything to make your stay memorable. The hotel is in a good location, providing a free shuttle bus to Sorrento if required but was close enough to walk in - which we did several times. Everywhere was clean and well maintained. The food was very good with plenty of choice from the 4 course menu. All the staff were friendly and helpful with special mention to Angelo and his staff for their excellent service at all times. We would definitely recommend this hotel and if we visit Sorrento in the future this would be our first choice.
Közel volt a tengerpart sétálva, a reggeliztető személyzet kedve.
A szállás régi, felújításra szorulna. Sok helyen épületen belül cigaretta szag van. A reggeli sablonos, kicsi választékkal. Az erkély nagyon kicsi.
Lovely hotel . Excellent helpful staff , food very good . Buffet breakfast , 4 course waiter served dinner . Food was fresh and hot at dinner . Only 1 criticism , coffee at breakfast undrinkable . Good small pool , with plenty of sunbeds. Added bonus was free daily shuttle service .
We had a fabulous stay at Hotel Caravel in Sant’Agnello and would definitely return. The staff were welcoming and there are too many to mention by name, suffice to say, Angeleno, Nino, Rhino and Marie. The food was delicious, a choice of starters and then choices for two main courses and then dessert, with options of cheese & biscuits or ice cream every night. Pasta of course dominated the first main dish options with fish and meat for the second main dish. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice, fresh fruit, breads, cakes, bacon, eggs and mushrooms. The free shuttle into Sorrento was another great offer; running regularly throughout the day. You can book it the day before or on the day at reception for both trips into Sorrento and back to the hotel. There are two supermarkets in the town about 10mins walk, as well as shops and bars. The pavements are very narrow and the main road up from the hotel is busy. The beach club is about 10mins walk down from the hotel, and the walk is steep. The beach club is the only access to the beach so you do need to pay for sun beds but it’s worth a visit. On the way down there is the Sea Bar offering light refreshments and drinks, which we loved for a quiet lunchtime panini and drinks. We found a similar situation in Sorrento with access to the beach via beach clubs only. Sorrento is a lovely place to explore.
Second visit to this wonderful family run Hotel. We stayed for 7 nights from 20th September 2025. Rooms kept spotless by the housekeeping staff. Restaurant excellent. Where can you get these days a 4 course sit down meal served by waiting staff? The menu changed every day and the food was of good quality. Not the usual buffet self service that many hotels operate these days. A big thank you to Angelo, Maria and the rest of the Restaurant staff. The bar staff also deserve a mention. Very efficient and friendly. Nello, Giuseppe, Ibrahim and Max were great and made the best Limoncello Spritzers we drank throughout the whole holiday. The hotel runs a courtesy bus into Sorrento centre which runs every 30 minutes from 9am. The last service back 10.35pm. Alternatively it is a 20 minute walk. Have to mention Peppe the maintenance man, the hotels dogsbody. So helpful with a great sense of humour. All in all a wonderful holiday again at the Caraval and it would be our first choice if visiting Sorrento again.
Hotel was ideally situated for Sorrento. Flat walk into town. Staff were amazing. Breakfast was all you would want .Ate only on last night in the restaurant which was our mistake as it was the best meal. Regretted not trying it sooner
Nothing to report here.
Husband and I stayed for a week end of August/begining September. Hotel Caravel is a well located, beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean hotel, we found the rooms well appointed and comfortable, housekeeping staff are fantastic. We had a very warm welcome from the night Manager, food was arranged for late evening guests which was lovely. The restaurant is buffet breakfast with lots of choice, evening meal is a 4 course table service with lots of choice, all the meals we had were delicious. Angelo the Restaurant Manager is friendly, charming and professional, special thanks also to Nino, Rino and Sandhu. My husband celebrated his birthday whilst we were there and the staff were very thoughtful and kind in helping him celebrate. We enjoyed the pool area which was very well maintained and pretty, there is also an outside bar/restaurant area which served light lunches. The walk to Sorrento was beautiful but we also made use of the hotel shuttle bus which was great. I would highly recommend Hotel Caravel for a stay, we would definitely return.
Just back from a week in this lovely gem of a hotel. All of the nice things I read, when looking at reviews before booking, are true. One of the things I would like to add, as a gluten intolerant person, is that the selection of gluten free food was extremely good. There is a separate, excellent GF menu for the evening meal as well as options on the main menu. I had a pizza for lunch in the snack bar one day and I can honestly say it was by far the best GF pizza I have ever had. Angelo the Maitre D was so welcoming, friendly and attentive and always made sure we were well looked after. Thank you Angelo. Special mention too to Nello in the restaurant who was great and taught us a new Italian word “stuzzicadente”! Also thank you to the reception team and to Gregorio, who rescued us from town in the courtesy bus, during a terrible thunderstorm, in which we had been soaked to the skin. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a relaxed and enjoyable holiday in Sorrento.
Lovely hotel, very friendly and welcoming.ideally situated for sorrento, the hotel runs a courtesy bus to sorrento. Restaurant was very good, good food and great staff Thank you Angelo and his staff for their excellent service. This hotel is excellent value and would recommend.
Very clean hotel, all staff friendly and helpful.Food in restaurant excellent, along with the service from Angelo and all of his very efficient team including Rino,Vittorio and Sandu, which made our holiday so enjoyable.
Would highly recommend Hotel Caravel to anyone & everyone! A work colleague highly recommended it to us and he wasn’t wrong. Beautifully and tastefully furnished. Super clean. Excellent food. All staff, bar, restaurant, reception, pool and even the cleaners are polite, welcoming and helpful. Super comfy beds and free mini bus is a great bonus. Will most definitely be returning next year!! Can’t wait 😊
We were disappointed. Bath had one light which dimly lit. What 4 star location has plastic glasses in the bathroom. Extra charges for clean pool towels seemed excessive. Staff was friendly. Best part was the nightly entertainment. Violin and piano player was absolutely excellent!!! Location was convenient and their shuttle to Santorini an appreciated service.
I wanted to rate it 5 but highest option was 4 Our second visit to this wonderful hotel where staff are so friendly and welcoming and food is fab too. Angelo, Rino, Marie and all staff made us feel so welcome once again , they welcomed us back which was so lovely. The food is wonderful too and the free shuttle service is a great asset especially when it’s hot and you just can’t wait to get back to cool off in the pool. We loved our two weeks and can’t wait to get back next year. Thank you to everyone in this small and very friendly hotel for making our holiday one we just loved so much x see you next year
We had a wonderful week at Hotel Caravel. The food was varied and very good quality. Angelo, the Restaurant Manager and Allessia at Reception, deserve a special mention, although we found all the staff to be very friendly and very helpful. The free shuttle bus into Sorrento was a godsend for my wife who has very limited walking capabilty.
The hotel was very nice, but there were some issues. There was some exceptional staff members that went above and beyond; Angelo in the dining room and Carmen and Joseph at reception. Some of the other staff members at the reception were very hard to deal with. The hair dryer in the room kept shorting out and the air conditioning didn't work so well. The pool was very nice as well as the lounge areas.
This is a small & very friendly hotel in a great location. It is spotlessly clean & the staff are extremely friendly. Angelo & his team in the restaurant made us feel so welcome & we had some great laughs with them. The food at both breakfast & dinner was excellent with a great variety of choice. The bar staff were also very friendly especially Nico. The pool is lovely & there is never a shortage of sunbeds & nobody puts towels out to save them which is a bonus. The sun terraces on the roof have wonderful views across to Vesuvius & Naples & also have plenty of sunbeds. It's easy to walk into Sorrento but very handy having the free minibus to use. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Sorrento but not be staying in the hustle & bustle of the centre.
Mycket trevlig personal. Väldigt bra service med gratisbuss som körde oss till Sorrento centrum och hem igen. Bara att boka när man ville åka. Nära till havet.
Ganska hårda sängar.
Our overall stay at hotel Caravel was great - - disappointing factor was that we had a room with no balcony. From our observations of the hotel it looked like we got 1 of maybe 3 rooms in the entire building that didn’t have a balcony which was unfortunate when we were there for 5 nights. We also discovered on our 4th night that there is a 2-level rooftop solarium which I think the hotel should advertise better as the views from the top are fantastic over looking the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The hotel was very clean with very little noise. The pool area was never too crowded which was good for a relaxing day. Sorrento town is a 15/20min walk but the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus to/from Sorrento throughout the day which may be booked in advance. This was a nice surprise as we didn’t realise this was offered prior to arriving. The Sant’Agnello train station is approx 10min walk away also which is good if doing a day trip to Pompeii (30/35mins by train and costs €3/4 one way) Overall a good stay here and would recommend but feel the hotel should promote more of their great offerings online
Good breakfast lovely pool room was comfortable
A room accessed with no steps - I had informed the hotel my husband is disabled but we still had steps Also very disappointed we did not have a room with a balcony. We have visited before and on this occasion it was our golden wedding anniversary so very disappointed they didn’t give us a room with a balcony
Ok property and nice dinners however I wouldn’t rate it as 4* hotel
Fabulous gem of a hotel. Stayed with my teen daughter for ten days. Staff were excellent. Angelo. Maria. Rino,Nellie, plus many more , All looked after us very well. Food was great and plentiful. Special thanks to housekeeping. We were in room 302 and kept the room immaculate. Pool area kept clean. Looked after. Great shuttle courtesy bus. Very handy Only points to raise. Some of reaction staff not so approachable and surely you could provide fresh pool towel change without charge in ten days?? We will return as so handy for everything and trips out. Take insect repellent as everyone was being bitten
The reception staff were extremely rude, double charge you for taxes
Az elhelyezkedés, a tisztaság, a személyzet kedvessége. A reggeli bőséges volt.
A szobát kicsinek véltem, a szekrényben nem voltak polcok.
Here is a hotel, nestled on the outskirts of Sorrento, in the area called Sant Agnello, just 5 minutes drive from the centre of Sorrento. We probably had the basic room, with two twins pushed together, not that it bothered us. The room had everything we could have wanted, including a wardrobe, safe, fridge, tea making facilities, extra pillows and blankets. The life saver was the air con which worked really well, even on a low setting and made the very hot weather bearable. The room was always kept clean and tidy by the maids of the hotel who were friendly and courteous at all times. The hotel has lots of facilities and amenities, including a free bus into and out of Sorrento, picking up as late as 11.30 if you want a good night out! There is a pool, plenty of loungers, a garden to sit and relax and an outside eating area which you can eat and drink in from midday until 5pm. There is a games room (of sorts) with a pool table but the cues could do with being fixed and the addition of chalk would help. It is also the gym with a few machines for those who can't relax on holiday. It could be better used as there are tables and chairs for people to go and sit in, but I don't think many did. There is also entertainment 6 nights a week, with singing, guitar, piano and violin playing. They certainly earn their money sometimes performing for nearly 3 hours! But it's not the pool, it's not the quiet location, it's not the rooms, or little extras such as a laundry service and cheap excursions that make this 5 stars, it's the people. Employees like Angelo, Nino, Rino, Maria et al, who work in the restaurant and make you feel very special. Angelo, the restaurant manager, in particular has a knack of making a fuss of everyone, but making you feel more special. It's a gift. Then there is the bar staff, people like Nello, who drives an incredible distance to do his job and is still in a good mood after it! Friendly people, all taking care of you. In conclusion, there's enough about to keep you going, and if not, there's a bus to Sorrento where you can be kept going all fortnight. But this is about people. Hotel Caravel is about people, just as the theme tune to Cheers once said - Sometimes you wanna go Where everybody knows your name And they're always glad you came You wanna be where you can see Our troubles are all the same You wanna be where everybody knows your name In this case, where everyone knows your room number - Two Ten! God bless you all at Hotel Caravel, we'll be back Rev'd Mark Rodgers
This absolute gem of a hotel sits in the neighbourhood of Sant Agnello. This gives your experience a real local feel, which contrasts to the tourist bustle of Sorrento. There is a train station near the hotel, two good supermarkets and lots of cafe bars. The hotel guests benefit from a free shuttle bus that zips people in and out of Sorrento all day long. The hotel itself is of a solid 4 star standard and the staff, particularly the waiting staff in the restaurant are first class, professional and friendly. This is a fantastic hotel in a fantastic part of Italy, and is well situated if you want to explore the local islands including Capri, the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and is situated on the train line to Naples. The hotel shuttle bus into Sorrento takes 5 minutes which means you can have all the benefits of Sorrento, with the added charm of being in a less busy, Italian neighbourhood. We could not recommend this hotel enough. Whether you want to relax by the pool, explore the local attractions, or just enjoy the fantastic food, you'll enjoy the experience Hotel Caravel offers. Forza Italia, Forza Hotel Caravel, Forza Angelo (and his restaurant staff). 10/10
This is a super little hotel. Good location- walk to train station, free shuttle to Sorrento, short walk to sea, local shop/bars - but quiet. Hotel is immaculate, staff friendly and professional (a shout out to the reception staff who kindly arranged me an emergency dentist!) , food is good- a new menu each day and plenty of gluten free options. Rooms are not high end but are well equipped with tea/coffee facilities, shampoo/shower gels, safe, international tv etc. comfy beds with good pillows! I would say that there is no free bottled water in the room. Apparently the tap water is ok to drink despite the literature in the room saying don’t- Your choice! Our room only had one plug socket which would accept our adaptor but reception lent us some others to enable our adaptors to be usable. The pool area is lovely. The small space is utilised well and there are plenty of loungers and parasols. Staff will serve you drinks there- not overly pricey. We found people around the pool respectful. There’s no loud music or raucous games. Most people reading between cooling off. There were a couple of children but not many. There are a good choice of excursions available too- Capri, Amalfi, Pompeii. If you’ve no room in your luggage, you can borrow pool towels and there is a good supply of books near the lift.
