Absolute gem in Sant'Agnello – Photos simply don't do it justice! We had an absolutely amazing stay at Relais Villa Savarese! Saying the online photos don't do it justice feels like an understatement — the historic building, the stunning grounds, the beautiful pool, and the pristine rooms are far more breathtaking in person.  The staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and brought a uniquely peaceful and wonderful energy to our trip. They helped us with absolutely everything we needed, from great restaurant recommendations to booking our boat tour, always with a smile.  Breakfast was simple, fresh, delicious, and had everything you could possibly need. One of our favorite parts was how intimate the hotel feels; because there are very few guests, it never feels crowded — you get to enjoy a quiet breakfast and often have the pool entirely to yourself.  Overall, a truly special and memorable place. Highly, highly recommended!

Two minor things to keep in mind: Location: It is not right in the noisy center of Sorrento (about a 10-minute walk into Sant'Agnello center). However, there are frequent buses right nearby which make getting around very easy once you get the hang of it.  Sound Insulation: Being a charm-filled historic building, the walls are on the thinner side, so you can sometimes hear noise or voices from outside or adjacent areas.

We loved everything about our stay at Villa Savarese. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating and we were provided with towels for the beach/pool daily. S’Agnese was nice and quiet and since we like walking everywhere we enjoyed the 25 minute walk into Sorrento each day, knowing that we could cool down by the pool later.

Clairement pas un hôtel 4 étoiles, en tout cas pas au standard que l’on peut attendre d’un établissement de cette catégorie. Plusieurs points sont réellement problématiques. Le parking, tout d’abord : il est payant alors que l’hôtel dispose de largement suffisamment d’espace à l’intérieur de sa propriété, y compris pour les motos. Faire payer le stationnement dans ces conditions est franchement incompréhensible et particulièrement décevant pour un hôtel 4 étoiles. La chambre était également loin du niveau attendu : forte odeur d’humidité, traces d’humidité sur les murs et propreté laissant à désirer. Les draps avaient eux-mêmes une odeur désagréable. La cabine de douche fuyait également. Nous avons signalé le problème à l’hôtel, mais rien n’a été fait et notre remarque ne semblait manifestement pas susciter beaucoup d’intérêt. Autre problème particulièrement gênant : notre chambre donnait sur la piscine, qui était éclairée artificiellement toute la nuit. Difficile de comprendre comment on est censé dormir correctement dans ces conditions. Le petit-déjeuner est lui aussi très décevant. Il n’a de « continental » que le nom, avec principalement des produits industriels de qualité assez médiocre. Là encore, très en dessous de ce que l’on peut attendre d’un 4 étoiles.

Breakfast was very good. Perhaps a variation of items available to choose from across the week would have been even better. The Pool was delightful. Our room was very agreeable.

Beautiful hotel with lovely relaxing poolside. a bit of a walk from sorrento but we liked the walk. staff were friendly and very helpful especially the young man who works afternoons. we had the garden room and absolutely loved it! would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic stay and would recommend this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our room (Number 3) was lovely, with a super comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning (which stays on even when you're out of the room), fresh towels daily, and complimentary bottled water – all really appreciated touches. The location is great if you're looking for a quieter base. It's around a 20 minute walk into Sorrento's main square, it's an easy, straightforward route. We actually loved staying in Sant'Agnello as it's much more peaceful and less touristy, with some fantastic places to eat and drink nearby. The hotel itself has a beautiful setting and made a brilliant first impression. The only areas we think could be improved are the pool service and lunch menu. The lunch menu could also offer a little more choice. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to return and recommend. If you're happy with a short walk into central Sorrento in exchange for a quieter, more authentic location, this hotel is an excellent! Some of our favourite food recommendations nearby: Lapillo Tapas - 10/10, only a five minute walk from the hotel. The prawn tacos are a must-try, and every dish we ordered was fantastic. We couldn't recommend it enough. Terrazze Italian Bistro by the waterfront – We didn't have breakfast included at the hotel, so we came here every morning. Great value, beautiful views, and plenty of breakfast and lunch options. Coku – Perfect for sunset drinks with stunning views. We also had food here, which was great. It's on the expensive side and the portion sizes don't quite match the price, but it's definitely worth visiting for sunset drinks. Sky Bar – A rooftop bar with incredible cocktails and breathtaking views across Sorrento and inland both at sunset and at night. It's pricey, but the views make it worthwhile. Il Ruttino – Excellent for a relaxed lunch or an affordable dinner. The aubergine parmigiana was one of the best we've ever had, and the pizzas were excellent too.

O hotel é muito calmo e bonito. O quarto é grande e muito limpo, com uma cama espectacular,super confortável. Adorámos a piscina, que fica num jardim lindíssimo. O colaborador Catello salva o atendimento com a sua simpatia e boa disposição. O pequeno almoço poderia ter mais diversidade no pão, de resto a comida era muito saborosa.

O horário da piscina poderia ser mais alargado.

Fantastic boutique style hotell with excellent service and pleasant and always available staff. Highly recommended if you like some peace and quiet right next to buzzing Sorrento:-)

Hotell ületas kindlasti meie ootuseid, jäime väga rahule. Hotell oli väga ilus ja puhas nii siseruumides kui aias. Eriti meeldis meile basseiniala, mida ümbritsesid erinevad viljapuud. Kuna tegu on väikse hotelliga, siis oli vahepeal tunne nagu me oleksime ainukesed külastajad, seega oli hotellis tõesti rahulik ja vaikne. Piirkond ise oli samuti vaikne. Meid teenindanud personal oli suurepärane - väga sõbralikud ja aitasid meid alati kõigi küsimuste või soovide korral. Meie tuba oli piisavalt suur, puhas ja kõik vajalik oli toas olemas (konditsioneer, föön, triikraud, pesemistarvikud, lisapadjad jne). Hommikusöök oli hea, eriti meeldis, et igal hommikul olid valikus erinevad puuviljad. Tänava lõpus oli ka ilus La Marinella rand (tasuline), mida kindlasti soovitan külastada. Lisaks leiab hotelli lähedalt häid restorane, eriti soovitan külastada Il Ruttino restorani.

My husband and I had a lovely week at this hotel in a suite bedroom with a huge, very comfy bed. The hotel and pool were clean, very green, comfortable surroundings and the breakfasts were great! Perfect position to walk into Sant Agnello or Sorrento and with a good choice of restaurants within a few minutes walk. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

We wanted a small luxury boutique hotel in or near Sorrento and chose this hotel after reading reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed The hotel was originally a villa which has been sympathetically converted into a hotel while keeping all the beautiful trappings of a family home. The interior is simply stunning. We were fortunate to have a room with a private terrace which was amazing. The swimming pool was surrounded by lemon and orange trees and the outdoor bar has lovely sofas to sit and relax while having a Negroni after your shopping trip to Sorrento or excursion to Pompeii. The staff were exceptional and informative, especially Catello. They gave us good recommendations for restaurants and advice on the area. The hotel is about a thirty minute walk to Sorrento but we found the local train service, a 15 minute walk away, really good and cheap for getting in and out of the centre. We had a most enjoyable seven night stay and will definitely return!

Beautiful villa set in private grounds with a gated entrance. A real oasis of calm with gorgeous rooms . The pool surrounded by lemon trees was so relaxing for a chill day after long days in Positano and Capri. It’s close to Sorrento with an easy walk of 25 minutes and there’s plenty of restaurants close by in Sant Agnello also . All the staff are so friendly and helpful . Highly recommend staying here for your Sorrento trip .

A beautiful peaceful property. The villa was clean and elegant and the decor was lovely. When we arrived, the room we were promised was unavailable which was very disappointing. The owners daughter came in and was quite aggressive about it, but at the same time, offered us a larger room. Our start was rough but once we were settled everything was great.

The bed. It was quite firm but they offered a mattress topper which made it all good.There was nothing not to like about the property itself, itwas really beautiful.

There were many pros to this stay: beautiful rooms and surroundings, wonderful breakfast, lovely pool area with enough beds, towels and parasols, peaceful and quiet atmosphere, polite, thoughtful day- to -day service, high standards of cleaning, comfy beds and 40 minute walk into main town which we were happy with - overall a lovely experience. Cons: one of our party dropped out. We contacted booking.com to make changes for 4 people instead of 5. They suggested contacting the Relais Villa direct. We contacted Relais Villa direct and they suggested we contact Booking.com. This went back and fourth several times. In the end, we received no communication and no changes and paid the price for 5 people for only 4 people. One of the rooms was larger with a bath which was nice but we would have chosen a double room once we knew that there would not be 3 people sleeping in it! So value for money and helpful service in this matter- absolutely not! 5 stars for everything else but 0 stars for value for money and service/support to alter the booking. There needs to be an effective communication between Booking.com and the Relais Villa- we contacted both parties in good time to alter the booking - we were extremely disappointed about this aspect of our stay:(

The place is wonderful. Great for relaxing in the green area and enjoying the pool. The staff were very polite and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Everything was perfect.

Staff are delightful. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The pool was great, lots of loungers and beautiful lemon trees. On site parking was good (although limited to three cars I think so book ahead). Breakfast was amazing. Location was excellent, Sorrento is a twenty minute walk and was very busy in May - both this and the drive to Positano must be mayhem in the summer. Sea view restaurant five minutes walk. Bathroom was fabulous. We loved our stay and felt we had uncovered a hidden gem.

This is a matter of taste but the rooms could be more... elegant? They don't match the exterior or downstairs 'common' rooms. Ours (and other ones we saw on the website) was quite functional and a fair bit of plastic used in headboard and furniture coverings. There was no mirror over the table where there so obviously could be one. I am adding this as constructive feedback as we loved our stay but we had a garden room next to the kitchens which was a little noisy first thing in the morning (starting 6am), plus in the middle of the night a rather worrying sound of running water from through the wall woke us up twice. Also there was a fusebox in the room which emitted a virtually inaudible buzz in the daytime but at night was a bit annoying - this could have been disabled by taking the power key out (the power to the rooms is supplied by you putting a key into a socket) but then there's no lighting or phone charging etc overnight. There was a fair bit of rather voluble exchanges between staff around the pool in the morning too... although to be fair it was probably after 9am a) some people like to sleep in and b) no one really wants to hear staff being instructed loudly at any time of the day :)

We stayed 8 nights at this beautiful Villa in Sant’ Agnello, 25 mins walk to Sorrento. The hotel is well situated near the waterfront on the flat land area so the walk to town is quite pleasant with the sea breeze and the view of the coast on the way. The staff are wonderful, special mention to Catello at front desk who arranged for private car pick up at the airport before our arrival, and Yasar who bring us green tea and fried eggs every morning. We are glad we stay in Sant ‘ Agnello with better value for food and accommodation and away from the crowds in Sorrento. The sunset at the water front is amazing with little crowds, we dined at La Terrazza Mediterraneo and Paravisiello Bar & Restaurant with chef quality food but reasonable price. There are a few local restaurants, we dined at Alfred Modern Trattoria twice, the food is top quality but priced like regular restaurant, family run and the chef is the father. The Villa is charming with modern amenity and the ground is lush with lemon tree and the decor is tasteful.

Wonderful stay with every need catered for. Sorrento is very busy and as the gates open to Villa Savarese you feel like you have stepped into an oasis of calm and tranquility, the gardens are beautiful and so is the pool which we used most days. All the interior decor is exquisite and unique, the room we had was stunning and had its own courtyard. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful stay. The hotel looks better in person than in the pictures. Room was lovely, pool area beautiful and calm. The staff were amazing, super attentive and on it, helped loads. Breakfast was varied and all tasty. It's a really calm place to stay. Location wise super close to the train, and about a 20min walk to the center. Would stay here again. The only thing to note is the walls are very thin, so bring earplugs if you want to sleep past 7am as you can hear the noise from the street outside.

Beautiful Villa Hotel in the perfect location to explore the area. Breakfast was fresh & varied with great coffee served by the lovely breakfast waiter. Staff were friendly and really helpful.

Very bad communication. No response to an email sent on a saturday early afternoon asking for a quote.No response to a reminder on sunday and a whatsapp. Only after sending again a whatsapp on monday, they stated that an offer will be sent within 30 minutes.... 24 hours later, still nothing. They lost a customer with this attitude. The website even states to sent an email for a quote. They clearly totally don't understand customer communication.

Breakfast, the pool, the grounds were quaint and beautiful.

Nice garden and well positioned

We booked a Superior Room and got assigned to a room in the garden which was definetly below the standards commercialized by the hotel. On one day of heavy rain the room got completely flooded with water dropping out from the cealing througout the walls, also near areas with electric cables. Completely floor surface of the room covered by water - all our electrical devices would have been demaged if we were not in the room as that happened. Room service was good at providing support to adress the issue promptly and we were moved to another room over the day, but as we asked for a partial refund the manager refused. Structure and policies were not in line with the price.

Bella struttura, immersa nel verde, molto elegante, letto comodo, bagno spazioso, arredamento classico ma molto confortevole. Colazione buona e possibilità di parcheggio interno con prenotazione.

L'unico vulnus della struttura è la poca insonorizzazione. Purtroppo la mia camera era al piano terra, nonostante né avessi richiesta una silenziosa ad un piano alto, e sono stato svegliato alle 7 di mattina dai rumori provenienti dal corridoio e dal giardino.

A beautiful hotel with a lovely garden and a charming house. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, close enough to everything, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

Une villa superbe, nichée au cœur d’un jardin magnifique, à la fois gracieuse dans son architecture et raffinée dans sa décoration. L’équipe est vraiment aux petits soins, disponible et attentionnée. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et de très bonne qualité. Seul petit bémol : l’isolation pourrait être améliorée, car le bruit peut parfois gêner la tranquillité.

This place is a little peaceful haven in the middle of the busy traffic of Sorrento. As soon as you enter into the driveway and walk up towards the entrance it feels special. Staff are extremely friendly and breakfast had a great selection of items for a relatively small hotel. The room was also great with a huge shower, and a lovely private terrace. Its a perfect place for couples, and would love to return there!

AMAZING HOTEL! super friendly staff and incredible value for the money. Includes breakfast which was really tasty and the swiming pool is another huge plus! They even gave us the room on the top floor with the terrace! we could not be happier with the hotel.

Frukosten var väldigt bra. Lugnt område och nära till havet, restauranger och tågstation. Väldigt mysigt att de bäddade upp inför natten och lämnade kex samt väderprognos på kudden.

Väldigt lyhört genom dörren. Vi hörde både telefonen från receptionen samt toalett som spolades genom dörren ut i korridoren.

The entire property was so incredibly clean, all but 1 of the staff members were so polite and very helpful. Th terrace room was stunning and by far the nicest of 7 hotels we stayed at during our tour of Italy. Cannot recommend this hotel enough for the room size, maid staff, cleanliness, and overall relaxing vibes. Would stay again!

Nothing. Sant’Agnello is quieter than centre of Sorrento - a 25 minute walk away ( but narrow pavements).

Nice quiet area with a peaceful pool. A good 30 minute walk to the main square in Sorrento so you do need to have good mobility (unless using transport). Breakfast was “ok”. Lacked a bit of atmosphere as a villa not a hotel but that should be expected. Could have done with a nice bar area inside the villa.

We really enjoyed our one week stay here. We loved the grounds, which were an oasis of calm, and the pool area was such a lovely area to spend time relaxing. All the staff were so very charming and helpful. The breakfasts were very well presented in pleasant surroundings and the room very comfortable. The walk from Sant'Agnello was about 25/30 minutes to Sorrento, but we were pleased to have chosen to stay here rather than Sorrento. It's a short walk to a wonderful sea view, and also close to the station for trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum.

It's a boutique hotel with only 12 rooms, so it's peaceful. The staff were brilliant - they organised a trip for us, and answered all our queries. Lovely breakfast. Food is really nice. They turn your bed down every night - which was a lovely touch. The villa is beautiful. A short walk into the centre of Sorrento

It was perfect

Had a wonderful week in Sorrento and exploring the Amalfi coast. The Relais Villa Savarese was a perfect location as less than a 30 minute level walk into the main area of Sorrento with its abunadance of restaurants and beautiful places to visit. The hotel is set in luxurious gardens and there is some beautiful views of the coastline only a short stroll away. The hotel staff cannot do enough for you and always made us feel very welcome. We used their parking facilities which was easy and breakfast each morning was very pleasant and plentiful. Thoroughly recommended.
