Best Western Plus Osoyoos Hotel & Suites

The hotel is OK, but it is not worth what they charge.

Pool was not clean and doors were constantly opened. Breakfast menu was very limited for vegetarians.

The place was run down, outside and inside windows so filthy you couldn’t see anything, wallpaper stained and torn from the nineties, every area needing updating and/or a thorough cleaning. Worst $300 I’ve ever spent …absolutely disgusting and shouldn’t be classified as a BW Plus …there were only minuses and absolutely no pluses.

We had the double queen suite for 2 nights. It was what we needed. The kitchen was stocked with everything. Beds were comfy enough. The breakfast was what you could expect from a Best Western. We used the pool and it was fine. The hotel is next to a theme park of sorts. With go-karting, mini golf ect. Good for famlies.

Osoyoos was very smokey when we were there, so that put a damper on our trip. The balcony also overlooked the parking lot... while i'm sure the views would have been a bit better had it not been so smokey, it was a bit underwhelming.

There’s only one elevator and takes a long time for all guests to use.

The location was easy to find, staff was helpful. My room was clean and stocked and I was well informed of the local niches that would affect my stay.

The pool was out of towels when we got there, and I felt like the price was a little outrageous. I mean a $50 deposit along with it being secured with my credit card was ridiculous.

Rooms were okay. Breakfast --- very basic, nothing special. Needs improvement. Location --- convenient.

Breakfast quality and variety --- needs improvement. Staff could be more helpful regarding the town --- location and recommendation for restaurants, museums, wineries with restaurants, etc. Having stayed in Osoyoos before, I was aware of the lovely restaurants, especially the local wineries with restaurants, and other attractions. Staff were not knowledgeable about local resources. I was told to contact the Tourist Information Office. So I did call them and asked what winery restaurants were highly rated (expecting local recommendatios). I was directed to two winery restaurants in Vernon. We drove up to one of them, and had a terrible experience. Terrible food, terrible service, the waitress, manager, and chef came out numerous times, but were unable to answer questions. We asked for pop or soft drinks and weordered a large tray for our starter. The waitress did not know what pop or soft drinks were so I listed a couple of examples (e.g. coke, etc. and she knew what they were). After waiting for half an hour, the waitress brought out our main courses. We asked where are starters were --- she looked blank and shocked, she had totally forgotten them. This went on for quite a while --- our main courses were cooked 3 times before they came out after we received and ate the starters and contained what we had ordered. All of the food was terrible. This was a huge contrast to what I experienced 2 years ago in Osoyoos. Our experience in Osoyoos was a disaster. My boyfriend from London England was shocked and disappointed as it was his dream trip to the interior of BC and we covered everything from Vancouver to Banff on a large circle route. I had talked about how much I liked Osoyoos, but we were both terribly disappointed with our visit.

We booked a standard room for 2 pax with a balcony but upon checking in were given a room with one small queen bed for a single person, marked as “Single Handicaped” type of room on the floor plan and later on the folio. The facilities in the room were outdated, black mugs with cracks, no kettle for making tea, no shower gel, the windowsill paint was cracked, and the A/C blew directly on the bed, so first it was impossible to fall asleep and then next morning everyone woke up with cold and running a allergy. Once we got the the key and saw our room, we returned to Front Desk and asked for a change. The answer was “we have a big golf group booked in”. Also, the mattress was totally uncomfortable. The Front Desk forgot to acknowledge the BW membership status or offer clear info upon checking in. Breakfast is very basic (unless someone is fond of free mediocre bacon.

Really appreciate fast check-in and check-out. Front desk personnel— amazing!

There was enough space for everyone. There were laundry facilities available. There was a full kitchen with counter space.

The faucet of the kitchen sink broke off. The blankets were about 1/4" thick and there were stains on the spare blankets for the pull out bed. The shampoo/conditioner/soap was in a laughably small container (about 1tsp). The staff were extremely rude (knocking on our door at 10pm when we had 4 children sleeping) expecting us to move our electric vehicle, which was waiting for a charge station so that a tesla could take our parking spot. They asked us to move multiple times and even accosting us and yelled at us in Indian while we were moving luggage to the car in the morning. There was no thought to offer us a charging spot, nor did they ask the other EV which was already charged to move. Then in the morning while we were packing things out to the car they charged our cards and charged us the damage deposit when we didn't damage anything. Then got angry when we asked to split the cost of the room. All in all the staff were rude and inconsiderate and I'll never stay at another best western.

Since I love eating outdoors I really appreciated the outdoor patio where we heated up our dinner and had a very relaxed time.

It needs some updating. Bathroom towel bar was talking out of rotten wall. The hot tub needed major work as it had alot of grime on the tiles that you could scrap off with your finger nail - also it appears the chemicals were out of balance as it was very milky

The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed it. The breakfast had a lot of options with warm proteins which are great.

The only not great part was one night the hot tub seemed to be malfunctioning and was bath water temperature.

Condition was very poor - towel rack falling off the wall, shower head completely plugged, internet barely worked. We ended up leaving early cause the internet in our room would not work. It was sporadic and the TV was cutting out and we could not use the wifi for our phones at all. The pool entry was across the hall and the hallway noise was very loud - they need to seal the hotel rooms better.

It was nice. Everything is just so expensive in Osoyoos & it wasn’t close to the lake.

My wife and I (and dog) stayed two nights The room was comfortable and clean with a balcony. The bed was comfortable but well slept on. Although we didn’t partake in the complimentary breakfast it looked good with a nice selection of food and a comfortable eating area. We would stay there again.

The plug in the bathtub would not drain the sink was cracked. They don't have a restaurant. This is a two-star motel masquerading is a four-star resort at $369 for a night, a total rip off.

Next to rattlesnake canyon, and Amal from the front desk is very friendly and deserves a raise, great guy

Right next door to Rattlesnake Canyon which was handy! Great to have the full size kitchen and fridge. Separate air conditioners in both sections of the room. Very clean. Very comfortable beds. Nice swimming pool area and great included breakfast with lots of options

The shower curtain (or something) wasn't doing it's job, and water pooled on the bathroom floor every time we showered no matter how careful we were.

Property was clean, the breakfast was varied everyday and the staff were great. We had a suite which was a very nice size.

We received an upgrade to a larger room. The beds were comfortable. The staff were helpful and kind. The location of the hotel is great and close to everything that you would want to see and do in Osoyoos.

When we entered the room there was a strong smell of probably some cooking in the days before. It was also not as clean or as well kept up as we have come to expect from Best Western Hotels. Overall though it was good enough for our one night stay.

One night stay for work. Staff was friendly and fast at check-in check-out. Breakfast options are simple but nice. Location is good. This property is showing its age. Bathrooms are very dated and dingy. The fan in the bathroom sounded like a small plane taking off. Doors have multiple lock holes showing from past misadventures. A bit below my expectation for a Best Western property. The staff is trying but the corporation needs to step up here and reinvest in some updates and renovations.
