Brilliant couple of nights staying here with my friend. The staff are always so friendly also the lovely Manager Lewis. It’s a perfect location for shopping, eating and drinking. Excellent cocktails 241 between 3-5pm.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant was excellent, the bed was really comfortable.

Some of the room firnishings were a bit "tired" and the carpet looked a bit grubby.

We booked this hotel as it was close to Detlng antique fair. The room was a good size and comfortable. It was fully equipped with the usual kettle and iron etc. Breakfast was an excellent buffet.

The shower had poor pressure. We had to wait a bit too long for bar service in late afternoon and some tables hadn't been cleared of previous food and drink orders. There was a lack of plug points in our room.

Very responsive and super helpful host. Great location on a very quiet street but also close to the bus stop for easy access to town or the historic dunes. Not far to walk to the beach either. Well equipped kitchen.

Unfortunately it was very dusty and set a couple of us off with our dust allergies. Kitchen drawers and cupboards also needed to be cleaned. Space to sleep 6 adults but short on seating in the lounge area unless you brought in a couple of garden chairs. En-suite bathroom doesn't have a toilet, just a shower and basin. Fundamentally the house was a good place to stay and we enjoyed our time there.

It’s location, the facilities and the staff who were very helpful. We arrived before 3pm, which is the book in time, and our room was not ready but we were able to use the pool which was lovely and refreshing ,

Location for our needs, military show, and ongoing travel to euro tunnel, next day, parking near to my room, as we had a disabled room due to my disability, access via patio door, excellent for our access to and from room. All the staff from front desk, cleaning staff as needed more milk cartons, to restaurant staff, friendly and informative, big thank you for that, even bumped into the on off hotel cat on the way to breakfast.

The hotel is feeling it age, and in some places looking its age, though staff members help avoid the feeling of the age of hotel.

We stayed at this hotel one night after a wedding, we came back a bit tipsy and noticed a bug on the wall. We had only just come into the room with our luggage and it was on the far side of the room so it definitely was not something we brought into the room. I jokingly said it looked like a cockroach but didn't quite believe it to he true, surely not, I thought. We killed it and didn't think much of it and didn't even think ti mention it the next morning. Having come back home, unpacked our bags, one of these bugs appeared. We captured the bug this time. Definitely a roach. The hotel room seemed clean but they definitely need to fumigate. I won't be staying again.

No lift or support staff to help with big bags. The toilet needs some deep chemical cleaning cos it had I think rust like stains.

Location fine - Sausages were awful - beef I think? Hash Brown's didn't look like they had been cooked. No apricot jam, no hazelnut spread, no honey 3 out of 5 not great?

Room was next to Spa so not quiet at all .Corridor very noisy early in morning and late at night think a couple of wedding parties. On arrival Friday evening Few Eastern European men outside hotel drinking beer and smoking unsure if we're staying at hotel? However they were back there at 8.00. A.m next morning doesn't create good impression out front whether staying at hotel or not

Noisey Road, no sound proofing so could hear the road, asked to be moved, but no rooms available. Very tired rooms, stains on carpet, tatty bathroom, needs an upgrade. No aircon, had to have fan on, as too noisey to leave windows open

Pool was excellent and the women at reception of my date of entry was exceptional. Didn't get her name but she was brilliant. Staff cleaned our room and gave us more towels for each day which was excellent. Thanks again 👍🏼

Breakfast was okay, my family didn’t like the dinner. I didn’t eat but the cheese on my daughter pizza wasn’t good quality.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and grand. My room was very spacious clean, quiet and very comfortable. The spa and gym are great. 12pm checkout is very helpful.

The pool was cold.

Wir sind mit unserem Hund gereist und haben ein sehr geräumiges Familienzimmer bekommen. Es ist völlig unproblematisch, mit dem Hund zu frühstücken, da wir das Essen mit in die angrenzende Lobby nehmen konnten.

Leider dürfen Kinder das Schwimmbad abends nicht mehr nutzen. Ich kann das grundsätzlich nachvollziehen, aber wenn man wie wir nur für eine Nacht auf Durchreise ist und erst Spätnachmittags ankommt, dann ist die Enttäauschung bei den Kids natürlich groß.

Chef immediately cooked two fresh fried eggs superbly but the hash browns were anaemic, only one type of sausage so no good if you don't like herby bangers, button mushrooms must have come out of a 2 gallon drum with no flavour. The bacon was OK, but apart from the freshly cooked eggs, everything was luke warm. It was a shame because it could have been outstanding

Great location on route to the ferry. Food was good, hot and plentiful. The variety of bakery goods was excellent at breakfast. We had a family room and reception gave our boys activity packs which was lovely. We will stay again and make use of the pool!

The doors to all rooms are so loud, all we heard until about midnight was slamming doors! I appreciate this is other guests being inconsiderate but never stayed at a hotel with doors that are so loud!

We've stayed here a few times now, the staff are amazing they are all so very friendly and nothing seems to much trouble. Rooms are nice and clean facilities spot on as always.

I felt that despite my accessibility request I was still put in a room too far from facilities, even tho I was told before arrival I was close to reception, this was more than 3/4 down the corridor, in my honest opinion thats not close to reception, this meant we didn't enjoy the pool/spa as much as we planned. We would normally swim at least once a day we only went a few times because each time the walk was just too painful. I did feel like this has put a cloud on our visit. When we checked in they said they are fully booked so she couldn't even move us :-(. I wouldn't nessisarly let this put me off for future visits, as we have been successfully put in rooms more suitable in the past, I would likely be a little more vocal and ask to be the end of the corridor near the entrance to the hotel, I'd like to think if I had complained as such they would have looked at any room vacancies they might have but I hate making a fuss, and moving rooms seems so much stress for all. I have to take some responsibility with this for not complaining but I hate being that person so tried to suck it up now back home feeling the effects of that extra walking each time we left the hotel. Lesson learnt.

Amazing spacious rooms for families, plus the addition of the swimming pool for the kids. The breakfast is really good too.

There is no lift for the second floor. No A/C in the room, even after heatwave, there is no chance to sleep without a fan.

The staff working there weren’t friendly. The bottles of water were very expensive. Hotels give water for free. The toilet wasn’t so clean. There was no AC so it was so warm that we couldn’t sleep.

The weather was lovely and the outside sitting area was nice. They placed a birthday banner and balloons in our room free of charge which I was grateful for.

The breakfast was unsatisfactory, it gave us tummy ache so we just had cereal instead, scrambled eggs had a funny smell, sausage and bacon didn’t taste well, chopped fruits like watermelon were not fresh probably used again from previous days . Paid all that money for breakfast and we didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy due to the conditions of the food. Mugs were stained, glasses not properly washed. Environment not very friendly and pool looked bigger in the photos. Sauna and steam room took very long to warm up in the morning. Jacuzzi water was cold rather than warmish. Bed sheets weren’t changed despite them being visibly dirty. Car park should be free due to amount of money being paid to stay at hotel. Would not return

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich! Die Lage für eine Zwischenübernachtung von Deutschland nach Cornwall super. Es gibt einen schönen Pool. Das Hotel ist sehr hundefreundlich.

Breakfast was not so good: eggs swimming in oil, bacon all stuck together and consistency of cardboard. Toaster was constantly getting jammed up and burning the toast so we decided not to bother having toast. Dinner: sea bass accompanied by 7 small pieces of french beans (pitiful quantity) and the side order of veg was forgotten so I had to ask for it again. Ordered a pint of soda water and lime but the soda water was flat. Asked for it to be changed and the replacement was also flat, so I gave up asking. Meal overpriced but we are so used to this nowadays that we don’t complain anymore. No air conditioning in the room; I should have double checked when booking but had assumed it did. To the management: Don’t offer 20%off food in exchange for foregoing room servicing. Most people want to save the planet and don’t need these incentives.

The location is OK as it's easy to get to and is close enough to the town that if you felt energetic you could walk. However it is on a main bus route. The food was good and had a good menu choice The breakfast menu was also good.

The only downside to our stay was that the room was very hot and we had to have fans going constantly. Having said that the weather conditions were exceptionally hot. Under normal conditions it would have been fine.

Good sized room - great pool/gym facilities. Great location for what we needed! Absolutely phenomenal breakfast including a whole gluten free station and so much choice.

No air con so had to keep the fans on all night. Good big sized fan provided though.
