Nice revamp - all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Went above and beyond in bar/ restaurant area. Was good having Starbucks on site to. Rooms lovely
Could do with better tea/ coffee facilities in room. We had three nights there and hadn’t been topped up.
Location, atmosphere
Constant noise from roof mounted extractor fans adjacent to the room, making it difficult to sleep.
Friendly. Modernised and great staff
N/a
Pleasant staff. Clean room. Relaxed atmosphere. Good gym and swimming pool facilities.
Difference in treatment to “Club” members and normal clients (including Booking.com users): club members can check in earlier and check out an hour later. The room is not done every day automatically, only if requested. Poor choice of eggs at breakfast: only scrambled eggs on offer and rather mediocre. The rest was fine.
Good location
Basic and sparse room.
The location
Very noisy in reception with very loud music playing. Was a Saturday but totally inappropriate for a good quality hotel. Music could be heard in bedroom
Comfy bed, good shower
We had to pay for parking overnight at the hotel, 3 of us stayed in a room but only 1 mug for hot drinks and 2 plastic cups. The TV kept turning itself on and off, the vending machine in the foyer wouldn't take card payment, nor could we make payment online for room service - kept getting an error message.
The staff were absolutely fantastic. An absolute credit to the company. Especially Sebastian in the restaurant. He made our stay so much better He really is an amazing member of staff. We will return again purely based on how we were treated by the staff. And the food was faultless.
The accessible room for my dad could have had hand rails at the bed side.
No air con
Spa facilities Food and drinks - did take 45 mins to get our food Breakfast
The fire alarms going off this morning
The room. The bar
Despite asking in person and by message through the booking.com app I still haven’t received a VAT invoice or receipt
Nice location.
It felt very basic. Poor facilities in the room. Breakfast finished very early compared to other hotels. Just not worth the price paid.
Gym
Carpark could be a bit more motorbike friendly, locking bars etc
Everything you needed
Nothing
Pleasant reception area with helpful staff. Lively bar area. Comfortable bed, decent shower. Windows that actually opened to cool down the room. Iron, ironing board, fans supplied.
The shower room was a bit tatty. No mini fridge in the room. Breakfast was poor - we had stayed in Headingly Premier Inn the night before - the breakfast was far better there which was surprising and disappointing considering the respective prices of the rooms. Only one hand towel for the two of us - when did that become a thing in hotels?
Location
Nice large room on the 2nd floor.
Tv in strange location, offset from the bed. Had to ask for tea bags and milk. Bar staff were a little off, when asked for a double rum he poured it for 4 seconds, but managed to pour it over the bar as well as in the glass. Surley should use a measure, and when we asked why not use a measure he got quite shirty.
Location was what we needed. Nice large 1st floor room with comfortable bad and a good size bathroom. We booked a club room so had an additional coffee maker and cans of water and 1 chocolate club between 2 people? Girl in bar area gave us a friendly greeting as we arrived.
Bathroom had smudges and dirty marks as if something had been spilt and not cleaned properly. The toilet was quite low and did not feel safe. Blind on window let's in light, so unable to sleep due to amount of light entering the room. Did not realise how close to the airport it was quite noisy with take off and landings, had to have the window open as far as it could as it was too hot and the fan provided was a desk fan so not designed for the room size. 1 biscuit between 2 people? Two night stay but tea, coffee and milk not replenished. Breakfast was ok but chaotic staff walking into customers, and 2 mornings in a row the bacon was cold. Breakfast set-up in one corner is not practical as everyone trying to pile into one corner. Reminded me of a Premier Inn, left disappointed as we paid extra for club room to use pool but it was overrun with children leaving you unable to swim without disruption.
Comfy bed in a spacious room
Poor lighting and no EV charging points
Everything you need in a hotel. Location, cleanliness, food and drinks great, friendly staff plus a swimming pool. Even decorated the room with balloons fora birthday treat.
Booked a twin room but when when we arrived it was a double, however reception sorted out a twin for us.
Large TV.
Housekeeping poor.
Convenient
Busyness
Really friendly staff who very kindly helped return a soft toy we’d left behind! Delicious breakfast with plenty of food and drinks. Nice pool and spa facilities. We loved the interactive darts (which are free before 5pm)! Good location for the cricket and Headingley - a bit of a walk but easy on the bus.
The restaurant was expensive. We were disturbed at night by noise from other guests a bit.
Pay for parking Double bed is narrow for two Next room was noisy No air conditioning
The large swimming pool. Parking.
Nothing
Lovely clean and spacious room. I didn't use any of the on site facilities so cannot comment on them. Bonus that there was a Starbucks coffee shop so we could grab a coffee as we left.
It was a little expensive for just a clean room.
Stayed to watch cricket at Headingley - perfect choice. Staff were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. Leisure facilities really good, especially the pool. Comfortable beds and decent breakfast before a 30 minute stroll to the ground. Will definitely stay again - assuming Headingley ever gets another test match!
Very comfortable breakfast was good
Having to pay for parking my car when I had paid for two rooms for two nights
Location is perfect rooms are spotless cleaners are great.
Travelling with an 11 year old who couldn’t go swimming In the evening. I’ve never been to a hotel where my child can’t swim in the evening. P
The convenience where it’s situated the cleans of the room and friendly stuff at the bar
None
Very disappointed in the greeting on arrival at the hotel. Then asked to pay again as the virtual card that booking.com used hadn't been accepted even though the payment had been taken from my bank.
Always have a small getaway from home here, kids love pool, staff are great, rooms cleaned and great! Once stayed over Christmas and heard neighbouring room being 'extra' with their 'activities" and although I couldn't get InTouch in any night staff, when I brought it up in the morning to the staff, they fully refunded that overnight stay.
Parking can be an issue if it's not the weekend when it's usually free
The receptionist was excellent. Very friendly on check in and let us use facilities to change as we were heading straight to a wedding. Also booked us taxis twice. Room was a good size with a very comfortable bed.
The only issue sat with Booking.com really as the taxi booking with them didn't work too well. Nothing to do with the hotel itself though.
staff very pleasant, room clean
My room was effectively next to the roof where all the plant equipment was so was noisy - would have been noisier if I needed to open the window. I had paid a lot of money for the room. I mentioned it to the receptionist the next day and she offered to call the manager but I needed to get my train and didn't see the point. Don't think that room should be used for guests and my picturesque view is attached
Location - easy walk to the cricket

Lots of facilities.
Charging people staying at the hotel for parking and use of the pool.
Stayed for one night. The hotel was just as expected, clean, comfortable, and with friendly service. Everything was as described, and we had a pleasant stay. Overall, a good experience. The room was very warm but two fans were provided. Breakfast was satisfactory but have had better at budget hotels.
Location; facilities; food
No air conditioning in room.
Well located for Yorkshire Cricket Club. The hotel is a typical Village hotel trying to have a fun personality but missing the basics such as modern room facilities such as air con, safe, bottled water not to mention the poor excuse of a breakfast including the most weird looking scrambled eggs. I also don’t appreciate the faceless check-in and check-out which gives no welcome an no interest in whether you had a good time. On the plus side the room looked like it had a recent refresh and the shower was good. Oh free parking too.
Very convenient location to where my son was stay.
Extremely clean hotel, good breakfasts, comfortable beds ideal location for the Cricket and Rugby

Do not park your car at this Hotel, or the rear of the Hotel, especially near the Disabled parking area under the bridged Accommodation as it’s not covered by CCTV. Because basically they don’t have CCTV, you won’t get any assistance for insurance purposes. The Hotel have confirmed they only have Entry and Exit Cameras!, that’s ANPR not CCTV. So if you or your insurance need assistance for damage you won’t get it, because there is no CCTV. But they are happy to issue a parking fine, with their ANPR cameras. It’s questionable and bad marketing, that they are selling the complex on the basis, of safe and secure parking, when it’s clearly not. On the 15/06/26 was my new car’s turn to be damaged by another Patron. We were members of the Gym, and frequently park on the grounds of the hotel. Last year my wife’s vehicle was damaged in the same section of the carpark, they say lighting doesn’t strike twice !. I found the other car that side swiped my new car in the carpark and got the woman’s details and registration. I informed Reception and they said they would look at their CCTV. When they came back to me they stated they couldn’t see that section of the their own Carpark, couldn’t see the car that hit mine, when it reversed into my car and drove away. ( Because they don’t have CCTV). Unbelievable at a Hotel Car Park in 2026!, yet if you go over 4hrs you would be charged for parking . Interesting enough right where my car was damaged is a camera mounted on the bridge wall, Surely this would have caught it?. No because that’s the actual ANPR camera that catches you when you go over 4hours Parking!.So if you have a nice car, think twice about staying /parking here. They take no responsibility for parking and when other patrons damage your property they can’t even assist your Insurance company with any CCTV coverage, because there isn’t any. On the 17/06/26 I was approached by the GM in the Lobby. This is the second time, in as many months that I have raised valid issues. He really has zero empathy. 1) One issue, I raised with the hotel and spoke to him out in the Gym / changing area. Was to make him aware /Highlighting the improper usage of a high pressure car washer being used in the shower area. Creating high level aerosol’s creating the perfect storm for legionnaires vapor risk. Having being subjected to such a disgusting experience and exposed to such a heath risk I find unacceptable. 2) When finding damage on another of my vehicles, the second experience of carpark damage at this Hotel chain, in the same section of the hotel carpark. Seeking reasonable assistance from staff regarding the above incident. I was spoken to unprofessionally and rudely by the General Manager and made to feel And that customers are not entitled to complain. He then proceeded to describe “that he had a little chuckle when he saw my car damage review”. Who would be smiling if they had experienced a second vehicle within a two year period suffering damage in their overcrowded and chaotic carpark. Imagine having no concept of seeing issues in the Hotel that you run, and when a customer tells you. You feel you can berate them and tell them they are wrong, questioning the validity of their genuine raised issues/complaints. And imagine saying to the same or any customer if you’re not happy go elsewhere!. This remain’s unresolved as dated 20/08/26 A same level GM, remotely reviewed my complaint badly. They can’t accept or apologise or deal with complaints, in a professional manner. They laugh at their customer’s mid-fortune. When accidents take place on there premises. The Village Group are Unprofessional and take no accountability. Avoid this hotel chain, they treat customers with distain. They really don’t care about anything, other than your money. Once they have that they couldn’t care less.
Just had yet another brilliant experience with the reception staff at Village hotel Leeds. Thanks so much Ellie. You're very helpful and always smiling
Staff very friendly elle on reception was very helpful 👍 and elara on bar and breakfast very attentive and always had a smile 😃
Very noisy could not open window very far so very warm in room one chocolate bar for us to share which we left because it was melted
Shabby room. £222 per night for a Family room gets you no air con, no safe, no coffee machine, no wardrobe, no water in room, no fridge. It does get you rough bedsheets, a HMO type carpet, stained walls, £5 per person per day gym fee, £5 per day car park fee for an out of town hotel. And a breakfast service that finishes at 9am. And a surly uninterested receptionist. I will never ever book a Village hotel again. Beyond dreadful.
Great Location
Coffee machine not working for breakfast Bar closing 10.30 on Sunday evening Excess to use the gym/pool facilities
Clean.
Check-in was not friendly neither welcoming. Pool closes for families too early. No AC in rooms. Beds are very high. Restaurant is a rip off.
Facilities at the Village Hotel were superb. Staff were friendly and helpful. Of particular note is the excellent pool area, with sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and sun loungers. The pool is very big for a hotel. Towels and lockers provided free too The bar area was huge too. Drinks were reasonably priced, with a big screen for the sport. Food was available, but i only had breakfast (buffet style). The hotel grounds were well kept and it is within half a mile walk of Headingley village. A lovely hotel and I will certainly be back.
Usually only post positive reviews but afraid not this time. We are regulars at this hotel as visit in-laws who live close by. Breakfast today was shocking - powered scrambled eggs which were a grey colour, watered down fresh orange juice, coffee machine broken. My partners bacon and sausage was cold. It was inedible. £17.50 they charge you if you pre-book. This place has really gone downhill. We had to complain at reception- we got a refund for breakfast but were told we could get eggs ordered (never known this in all the times we have been). Started parking £4 parking per night. This place is starting to become very expensive. Not happy as usually visit 4-6 times per year. The rooms have had a revamp which is nice to see but bed seemed smaller
Great location, gym/ pool area and most staff were helpful.
Had to pay for parking even as a quest of the hotel & no air-con!
I was disappointed to hear that baths had been replaced by showers as I hate them but was pleasantly surprised by the updated shower room and actually enjoyed the facility. A spacious room with good quality towels. The bed was 6’ wide and again linen was good quality. We stayed on a hot night and although window opening is restricted our east facing room was a comfortable temperature throughout the night (without the duvet for much of it). Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the home-made muesli bars were particularly delicious. From past experience the bar & grill is very noisy as giant screens show Sport all evening. If you want somewhere quiet to eat, walk down the road into Headingley for restaurants. Every member of staff we encountered is charming and Ellie on reception deserves particular mention. The staff at breakfast could not have been more helpful. There is a pool and gym but we used neither. This is our third stay at the Village Hotel North Leeds and we look forward to staying again.
Had to pay additional for parking and use of gym.
The rooms could have been cooler.
Great location, great facilities
Room was above smoking area and due to hot weather I had to have the window open
Myself and my partner stayed was up for a family occasion. Had a lovely stay in the hotel nothing was too much for the girl called Mia on reception who helped answer all our questions.
I have been staying at village Leeds north for a few months with work. Ellie on reception always remembers me and is always very helpful and chatty. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stays here!!
Visited this hotel last month with family. Was booked in by a lovely young woman called Ellie. She was very pleasant and polite. Told us everything we needed to know and sorted our booking out in swift time. Asked if we needed anything else and informed us where to find our room. Hotel clean and tidy and had an enjoyable stay.
piss poor. bar has taken 3 hours for 3 meals with only 10 people in. forgot drinks. room 208 just smelled horrid. wouldn’t recommend if you are actually hungry
Perfect location for our needs Lovely clean and comfortable room
A number of guests kept us awake by being extremely loud from 4.30am to 7am. Not the Hotels fault, but feel that security could have intervened better.
Room was dirty and stunk of damp, ignored by customer service, wouldn’t recommend at all
Always great staying here, friendly staff and atmosphere. Room's are always very large and comfortable especially now with the refurbishment.
Staff were friendly.
The whole place gives off 'Mutton dressed as lamb' vibes.
All great 👍
Although only £5, don’t think hotel residents should have to pay for parking??
Pleasant enough, convenient location for me, nice setting. Very good gym facility probably best for someone traveling on business.
I didn't expect air conditioning, the fan took a little to get used to.
Close to where I wanted to be.
No aircon, although there was a fan. Pool hours not great if you wanted a swim late evening or early morning.
Comfortable bed, great shower and bathroom facilities. Friendly and helpful staff at check in and check out. Great breakfast selection
No air conditioning. The room got very hot overnight and the window only opened a tiny amount. There was a fan but that didn't really help too much.
Very comfortable room and very clean
Nothing
Clean tidy kind efficient staff. Beautiful pool
Comfortable beds, clean and convenient location.
No small fridge in the family room.
None of it, room was clean only good thing.
Breakfast was £5 cheaper if you paid on booking in , making it £12 rather £17. Decided not to do either, as breakfast should be £12! The rooms were unbearably hot ; but air con in corridors !, no sleep can’t open windows. Poor menu at bar. No fridge in rooms - not able to keep water cold in very hot room . Not happy
Friendly staff and clean hotel.
No air-conditioning in rooms for such a large hotel is shocking. The fan in the room was louder than a jet engine!
Buzzy atmosphere with much coming and going to the gym, an open bar and dining area, and a Starbucks coffee shop. Smart if brash interior decoration.
No air conditioning in the room. In the hot weather we had, our room was almost unbearable. A large and noisy electric fan was provided to ease the temperature but the windows could only be opened a small way. When we arrived we found the toilet had been used but not flushed.
Hotel facilities.
No air conditioning
Superb meeting room and team, Lydia Denton in particular was super helpful!
Good location, very friendly staff who were very helpful at check in and check out. The breakfast was well-run and it was easy to use the buffet. The breakfast had good quality ingredients.
It was difficult to find my room in the annexe due to a refurbishment going on. I had to go out a fire door and back in another fire door, rather than use the corridor that was being refurbished. The staff explained it well to me, but it was still confusing and I felt I was going out of doors I shouldn’t be using. Also, the Dyson fan was missing a remote so I had to figure out how to use the one button on the fan to get it to cool.
Great spa, decent brekkie lovely staff. Did not like the bed made on the floor
My son and I both got bit during t he night
Rooms were quite hot
Obnoxious regional manager in the Headingly gym wouldn't acknowledge the gyms failure to display signage or communicate at the point of sale that swim suits, even when labelled and with hygiene pad in place can not be returned. Had I known or seen anything I wouldn't have risked the purchase. Their complaints procedure is not disclosed online making writing a formal complaint awkward. I suspect that's on purpose. Today the ladies shower room drains were blocked again. There is usually a lot of hair on the floor and walls. The family change room has reeked of urine in the past. The path to the pool from the ladies changing room is dirty so you must wear flipflops to avoid it. This gym could be amazing but the staff are bored and unhelpful. The council gyms are cleaner than this one. I would not recommend. x
Very clean and everyone willing to help
On the night we arrived there was a party of kids who were screaming so unfortunately we left and went to our room
The location
Room was too hot only with one 1 tiny old fan. We never sleep because of the heat. Some room have air cool and some don't have. At least for those rooms that don't have an air con, it should have 2 fans each
Location suited us
It appears to be in process of being renovated. But did not make us aware of this. The rooms are not clearly marked. We had to travel through a dangerous hallway with ripped up carpets and nails on the floor. The lift didnt say dont use but when we hot in all the floor sigbs had gaffa tape over them. There was no aircon in the room. There was a dyson fan which soubds like an aeroplane taking off. All together so very disappointing and really expensive for such a poor stay. Oh and 8 forgot the awful damp patches on barhroom ceiling and shower that takes ages to drain
Clean and comfortable at a reasonable price
Noise from the many events
In process of renovation. Avoid until over as its a building site. The room numbers not clear. We had to go through corridors with ripped up carpets. Paid £178 for night. Dyson fan in the room as no aircon. But it sounded like a bloody jet plane it was that noisy. There was mold in our bathroom and the lift was gaffa taped inside so no idea what floor to go to. Tools in hallway l, screws on the floor. All in all so cery disappointing. Made a complaint. Got a generic sorry. Will not be staying here again neither will we recommend
Het gemak van reserveren en communicatie
N.v.t.
Easy to check in & out, nice bar downstairs, rooms are comfortable & clean and great location
No air con, noisy at night at the front of the building. Cheap detergent in hand wash causes irritation.
Everything
I was concerned about parking g and I was given wrong communication regarding the pool. I was told on check in when I questioned it it was included but to be fair we loved our trip to pool and towels were included and got use of it
Good parking, room was very clean, staff were very friendly, easy to find. pool looked nice, but did not use in the end. The concierge helped people get a taxi if they needed it
Room overlooked airconditioning unit. The reception was supposed to be via a tablet, but this had failed. did not realise that parking would be extra. was not a big deal as our stay was only for 1 night. No fridge in room
The beds were sooo comfortable to the point I checked to see what they were so I could buy a similar mattress!! Room was very clean.
Only having 2 cups and glasses when 4 guests were in the room.
Great location

It was nice going in the pool. The new paint on corridor walls and doors were fresh. Bed linen nice, bathroom was clean.
Our room was just too hot. It wasn't an exceptionally warm day outside. 20 degrees and a little rainy. Our room was unbearable. There was no air flow, windows opened a jar. No air conditioning. There was a standing fan column but you had to be 5cms in front of it to feel any difference. The rooms would really benefit from some sort of cooling system. I'm sure we would have had some sleep if this had been the case. The corridors were cooler, but obviously couldn't keep the door open to let fresh air in.
Good location and clean rooms
No air conditioning so too hot to sleep
Location was good for the airport
Awfully strong paint smell in room. When had shower on it flooded the bathroom as the tray tilts the wrong way. No air conditioning. No bed sheets just thick quilts. Loud music till late, family rooms should be on higher floors. Beds far too soft. Check out system did not work and no staff around.
The spacious facilities on the ground floor, ample parking and great location.
Cooked Breakfast could have been hotter. And our room was too hot despite using a cooling fan.
I love the pool/ leisure facilities, I love the staff so friendly and helpful
I didn't like how confusing it was to get to my room, I didn't like the smell in the hallway upto my room it was a horrid rancid smell that really put me off and let the hotel down, I didn't like how dirty the carpet in my room was, I didn't like the fact the windows in the rooms don't open fully. I also didn't like how they put 2 single beds together to make a full sized double bed. I think that's a very cheap skate thing to do, and I was not impressed.
Staff was lovely and friendly.
There was a lot of functions on like proms etc with no communication to say these were taking place, with cars excessively revving up until late at night. I didn’t really mind just wish I was pre warned for all the noise so I could have been prepared.
Welcoming and food in restaurant was well cooked The free beer for Fathers Day was a nice touch
No air on in bedrooms and it was one of hottest days of year but there was a fan
Colazione scarsa
In bagno era presente muffa.
location nice, room a good size, pool facilities good
was undergoing renovation so was abit of a mess and confusing how to get to room
Good location and plenty of parking
