Stratford Manor Hotel

Location was fine. Staff were nice.

The TV in the room kept flashing bright lights randomly at night, which was very disconcerting. I didn't like that the downstairs windows opened so far and opened straight onto a path.

Front desk staff were all so helpful, especially Emma.

The pool area wasn't that clean.

The room was very clean and tidy, staff very welcoming, always on hand to assist you, parking was great, getting to the hotel is in an ideal place, not too close to the city but close enough to get around and various options to get around to site seeing.

A member of the bar staff was not very friendly to us, made us feel as though we couldn’t ask for anything, he was not willing to assist us, which made us go out to eat rather than stay at the Hotel.

We had small dog with us was told not on booking n immediately added £50 to bill for 2 nights I asked what this included n said could provide dog bed but nothing appeared. We had upgraded room to deluxe n it was nothing special. Supposed to include a newspaper never appeared. Complimentary tray was a joke 2 small sachet of coffee n 2 tiny biscuits Prices for everything were well over the top so ate out The best thing was pool etc very clean

Die Warmwasserversorgung der Dusche war instabil. Bei länger schon eingestellter Temperatur wechselte diese zwischen kalt und extrem heiß! Die habe ich an der Reception gemeldet, war auch am dritten Tag nicht wesentlich besser, obwohl ich sehr früh geduscht habe (wenig andere Benutzer nebenan)

The staff were helpful and car parking was very good. The room was also comfortable and well-equipped.

It is not, as the name infers, a "Manor". It is a bland, modern and characterless building. Food was average and the wines were very expensive.

Great location, spacious hotel with clean and tidy rooms. Big dining area and restaurant, bar and evening high tea is also there. Patio garden is very good for having a drink if the weather is good. There is a decent size pool with steam room and sauna. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Big car park with free parking and multiple EV chargers. Very easy access from M40, easy access to Stratford as well.

No air condition or mini fridge. A jacuzzi would have been nice. Overall very good place to stay and explore the country side and Stratford.

Long way from our room to dining area.

Lamp shades in the room were torn and needed replacing. Room had bugs, both dead and alive. The coffee and juices at breakfast were very low quality. The swimming pool appeared to be in use for lessons so we opted not to swim as there wasn’t much space. Also no plug sockets by the bed or anywhere convenient.

Lighting in dining room. It was far too bright and ‘uniform’ for a dinner venue. We did not feel we wanted to have dinner for our second or third night and so went out for dinner.

The air conditioner vented out through the window which had to be open and we had to do this ourselves. No plugs by the bed. Restaurant wasn't very atmospheric for the standard of hotel it was supposed to be. The prices were high for the quality of food

Whole place felt a bit run down and in need of a refurbishment. Overall felt 3 star not 4 star. We had 3 rooms in our booking and experience was similar in all rooms.. There were limited toiletries in the bathrooms eg shampoo but no conditioner. Minimum standards met. Weak showers as well. No air con in any of our rooms. - during hot spell, we only had a little fan which was no ideal. Thankfully was only 1 night stay.

Great hotel, excellent facilities. The staff in the restaurant were very nice and welcoming especially the breakfast lady from South Africa.

The staff in Reception was rude, unwelcoming and they treated all guests (not just us) as they didn’t want us there. No smiles, no welcoming faces, nothing. That spoiled the experience although we didn’t need them much!!

We loved how welcoming and accommodating the hotel was towards our dog, providing a dog bed, bowl and treats. Lovely relaxed bar and lounge with good food. Beautiful grounds and within easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon.

From arriving to leaving staff were pleasant and helpful. The facilities were excellent catering for all ages. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable.

Reception not aware of our Accessible Room request and said we should have contacted them. I showed them the email response from when I did contact them and they then blamed the person who had sent the email. This is the 2nd time they have tried this.

Staff were present and helpful. Were were seated quickly. For the most part the food quality was good.

Cooked breakfast selection basic, (bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans & fried egg - hard yoke) special request for other than hard fried egg is disappointing, also not available first morning No continental breakfast option apart from some pastries

Staff were excellent. Very accomodating and friendly from reception to housekeeping.

The bath tub has a hole, some food on the menu was not available.

Good size rooms. Loved the pool, Steam & sauna. Bar staff very friendly & helpful, + the bar food was lovely and good value for money. Very easy bus route outside hotel to Stratford upon Avon town and very close to Warwick Castle.

Would have liked some glasses in the room for our own drinks, rather than having to use the mugs available. I would also suggest having a swimsuit spinner in the changing rooms.

The property was lovely and the location was fantastic. The staff were also absolutely amazing and all of them made our stay so welcoming especially Megan at reception.

The rooms were dated and it could do with a freshen up, there was no air con, although fans were provided but it was still very warm at night in the rooms. Also the sound proofing was not great as we had family in two other rooms opposite and next to us and we could occasionally hear each other.

Very run down. Very very dirty, mainly the common areas and the pool and spa area. Poor breakfast, poor quality and selection.

Staff were such a great team. Unusual to find staff that are so warm, friendly and good at their jobs, across the board.

The bed was very comfortable indeed. Even if you're only staying for one night you have time to use the leisure centre, as check-out is at 11. The hotel is in a quiet, rural-feeling area, but is close to Stratford.

There were no vegetarian cooked breakfast options. The car park is quite spread out, and it's not easy to get a spot close to the entrance.

Overall experience of this hotel is really good. Lots of things to keep the children entertained both in the hotel and on the outside surrounding areas.

A couple of members of staff could do with a bit of additional training on providing better customer service especially their attitude when resolving little problems like, room key not working or food being taken away upstairs for unwell travellers. Either a power trip attitude, my way or highway attitude, or they know best attitude is not very helpful.

Tomatoes and mushrooms quite hard at breakfast Hair dryer could not be switched to warm. Set on cold to save energy. So took 20 mins to dry hair as opposed to 3-5 mins

The smell of drains in the bathroom. Also had issues with our food Sunday night not being correct. Breakfast was like a cattle market people looking for food as not been topped up and hot food was bare at 9.20am. No water or glassses in the room. And no plugs at the side of the bed.

I really liked the facilities. The pool, sauna & steam room were great. I liked the hotel grounds. The breakfast was good too. Staff were really friendly. The price was excellent in my opinion. I’ve already booked a return visit.

It was really hot in the bedroom and there was only a small fan. I also didn’t find the pillows that comfortable but that’s just my personal preference.

The staff are excellent, food and waitress service in restaurant very attentive.

There appears to be a lack of investment in the rooms, the deluxe rooms had new carpets but the bathrooms were very dated with doors looking like early 80,s boarding in need of replacement to justify being called deluxe. No aircon in the bedrooms. By contrast the bar area was freezing cold with guests sitting in the hallway to enjoy a drink in relative comfort.

Loads of things for the kids to do great swimming pool (lovely temperature) Staff very friendly and helpful (outstanding) they made the stay for us. We will be back. Would recommend this hotel

La manque de climatisation, il faisait très chaud dans les chambres, et les fenêtres s’ouvrent à peine pour pouvoir faire circuler l’air alors que dehors il faisait à peine 25 degrés…

The location of the hotel was very good, less than 10 mins into Stratford. The hotel and our room was very quiet. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

There was no air on, but the hotel provided a fan. There was no fridge in the room. The bathroom could do with updating.

Parking was ample

The place is run down and is “trying” to be a Manor type Hotel. I had 2 rooms booked, one standard and one delux. Both very very similar in size and layout. In both bathrooms neither showers worked properly and they were extremely inadequate. Both bathrooms had two showers over each bath tub and in both rooms the showers were the same and you couldn’t really have a proper shower. I couldn’t have breakfast earlier than 8am but was given a little doggy bag, it didn’t even cover an eighth of the cost of breakfast. Staff were generally rude to my children and customer service is non existent.

Swimming pool and the dog welcome pack were appreciated. For us, the main appreciation was the helpful and friendly staff, particularly the two gentlemen and the lady behind the reception who went out of their way to help with our car trouble.

No air con, no fridge, and the heating was on in the bathroom which all combined in the recent heat to make the bedroom barely bearable even with the timer fan provided. The heat in the room and the absence of the usual glasses also undermined the gesture of two complimentary bottles of water.

That we booked a room as a couple and was given 2 single beds. Was also given a room towards the back of the hotel so could here every bit of passing traffic When booking a different quote was selected for what we paid on the day

No air con seriously outdated in this day and age! Staff are all young teenagers … spend lots of time talking to each other in the back and constantly have to shout ‘hello anyone there ‘ before they come to serve !

Staff, food and facilities all good. Only gripes were the lack of Air-Con in the bedrooms (Bar and Restaurant were fine), on the hottest nights of the year. Very warm trying to sleep the first night! Second night we used a fan that we had brought with us, and had the windows open after 10pm, which helped. Pool was very clean, but the water was a little warm for my taste. However, the steam room and showers were excellent.

No air con in bedroom when 35 degrees meant had to stay out of room until bedtime. A fan was provided but obviously inadequate in extreme temperatures . Sadly this will mark a good hotel down but it will have to be looked at for future summers.

The facilities at the hotel such as the pool, sauna, gym and games room were ecceptional. They were well maintained and the staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I’d like to give a special thanks to the restaurant staff during breakfast service. They were so kind and nothing was too much trouble. A special thanks to Aziz for taking such good care of us. Always smiling and helpful. We look forward to coming back.

The rooms really needed a mini fridge. Especially given the heat we are currently experiencing. And also aircon to be Installed for a better and more comfortable nights sleep during the summer months.

Intial disappointment at not being allocated the room which we booked but the issue was resolved by excellent front of desk staff member Emma.

Parking was ample and free was able to check in early at no extra cost and receptionist was very welcoming. Room was clean and tidy good location from centre took 10 mins on bus very easy. Reasonable price compared to others who charged for parking and didn’t guarantee a space. Gym facilities were small but clean and accessible with no hassle, staff were quick to get me a towel when I forgot mine when using swimming pool. Bar prices were reasonable and bar stayed open late for guests.

Rooms quite dated and we were in lower ground level at end of corridor, although there was a smell of paint in the corridor it needed refreshing. Paint was peeling on our bathroom door and doors in corridor. Cobwebs in door ways which added to the “basement feel” somewhat! No Ac in room although floor fan provided and windows opened a reasonable amount. Breakfast was typical buffet under heat lamps drying out. Bus timetable seemed incorrect which was provided at reception (9.40pm service didn’t exist) and had to get Uber back to hotel instead, but not much price difference. Would have loved to have booked a spa treatment but prices seemed steep even with discount offered as part of booking.

If I am being picky (as it was excellent) I would have liked a couple of walking trails in the 22 acre garden. We were told to just walk on the grass.

It was large and airy. Our room was a good size, with a seated area. We received a free upgrade upon checking in which came with free drinks in the mini bar. There was also a good restaurant, breakfast was really nice and there was a large car park.

Good location close to the M40 in nice grounds with good facilities. The EV charge points are very handy for a top-up overnight.

It was unusually hot weather so the lack of air conditioning in the rooms was a problem. Portable fans were provided which helped a bit.

We had been chosen as guests of the day so had an upgraded room complimentary mini bar and a drink from the bar.

We were with 4 friends eating together one being disabled needing room for her scooter, having pre booked a table months ago. There was no table allocated to us. We had such a long wait for staff to attend to us, as they were busy seeing to corporate companies tables. We were offered complimentary bread and olives. After we had finished our main meals we were yet again forgotten to be asked if we would like dessert we had to approach a staff member. At breakfast we had to ask for certain buffet items to be replenished. All in all sadly not a good dining experience.

Good value for a quality hotel in a good location. Good facilities and a lovely setting. Breakfast very good.
