MINT Hotel 84 on Katherine

Absolutely suited my business trip in terms of convenience, comfort and overall experience

The cleaning staff can be a bit load at times

Luke warm water. General room cleanliness, shower not draining properly

Affordable and well kept. The executive rooms are newly renovated and very comfortable. So are the bathrooms. There is place to cook and you can also get deliveries to your room if you are saying longer. Staff is helpful.

No elevators if you are staying at the top floor. We were not doing well so had to ask one of the staff to get one of our heavy suitcases up and they were also winded. At other times the staff behind the counter had to do it themselves. The staff at the restaurant take there time, but so is the case everywhere - it pays when the food is good. However I would say the restaurant food is okay (at least the limited stuff we had), and we have had better.

Location. Staff.

We booked for a child's stay as well.Had to asked for bedding. There were no pillows available for his bed in the hotel. We also asked them to clean the sleeper couch.

Location suit me a lot

Smoking people

Good location

Staff are not that friendly.

Clean, spacious and modern

Staff was amazing, they have spa facilities even thought i had no time to use them on this trip, i love the option to be able to. appreciate the hotel restaurant as it provides convenience for quest on a short stay to still have access to great food without having to leave the premises.

Location and staff attitude

The manual key system

Large apartment with plenty of space. Secure within the complex.

Nothing comes to mind really.

the hotel view

Their service was extremely poor ,it’s a hotel but it’s like your in a local guesthouse.there’s no iron, shower cap, bath soap, hairdryer, their t.v wasn’t working .the food was bad not to mention their breakfast.it was terrible i couldn’t help it but not to have it.had to go to Sandton to grab something to eat

I liked the facility is closer to Gautrain Station

Add more hooks in the bathroom to hang personal stuff

Checking in is an exam, unnecessary honestly. You have to complete some long online form on the hotel’s touchpad.. that’s 10min of unnecessary admin

Everything, the place was clean and great

Unfortunately the fellow guests were very noisy and in the corridors people's voices were very loud. So we didn't have a good night's rest.

Helped set up a birthday surprise for partner

Cleanliness

Nothing

Restaurant

The location and the onsite parking. Units were well equipped.

The interior seems to be recently ( not very recent ) renovated but it feels like it was done on a budget. Also our shower didn’t drain properly :(

Everything

Internet

During my stay, I experienced several issues that impacted my overall experience. The kettle in the room was not functioning, and the cups provided were not properly cleaned. In addition, the tea and coffee supplies were not the usual standard and were insufficiently stocked. I also noted that there was no bath mat in the bathroom. Furthermore, the availability of slippers and gowns is something the hotel may wish to review, as these amenities contribute significantly to guest comfort and convenience. I trust this feedback will assist in improving the guest experience going forward.

Responsive staff

Gym floors were dirty ,and no one to attend to like boxing gloves missing and there was no one to ask

The showers are not very clean and they spill water from the shower to the bathroom floor

The location is great and private

Convenience of the location and value for money. Room was clean and cozy

Clean and easy to find location

We had noisy neighbors

Perfect hotel close to shopping and 200 meters from Gautrain station. 50 meters away there is a petrol station selling take away food. Close enough to go to even when it is dark. Another 100 meters away is another convenience store and McDonalds. Very good kitchen in the room with fridge, microwave and hot plate. Very safe place and the area seems safe during daylight. 5 min walk to a big mall.

The bed

-Small shower one cannot even bend -one Chair while there were 2 guests - door has a wire sticking out which injured me

I loved the room's space. As I was travelling with my family, the room was spacious enough to allow my 1-year-old daughter to wander and play around. The kitchenette was also functional, letting us prepare meals for ourselves and our little picky eater. The cleaning crew did a great job keeping the room clean and on schedule; the laundry service was quite affordable, unlike many places I have been.

The baby cot wasn't as sturdy as I'd hoped; with my daughter's active nature, it felt a bit shaky. I understand it's meant to be easily folded for storage; I would have loved it if it had been made of something a bit sturdier, like wood or metal

Peaceful and quiet. Clean. Friendly staff.

The room was not ready on time. Elevator still not working.

From the moment I got there, the entire staff was extremely helpful, including assuring I was watched over while waiting for transportation. The massage was amazing. The food was quite wonderful, and the restaurant staff was great.

Service in the restaurant tended to be a bit slow, but I soon realized that is the pace of restaurant service in the country. The staff at Pablo was great about speeding things up a bit if I indicated I was in a hurry. The only other thing was that I was in block D, which meant for a LOT of walking.

Service

Facilites.

The efficiency of being welcomed and taken to our room , also when the plugs stopped working , we were assisted in less than 10 minutes. The watsaap service is top notch. It is safe.. i was a bit worried when I saw there is a lot of men (obviously they are your customers) , got unease. But my daughter said it happens mama , I am glad we dd not get any guest nocking at our door. SAFELY 100%%%%

The toilet sit , even though it looks clean.. I can still see the yellowish stain. I think the reason I saw it , is because I scrub my toilet everyday. So I can see the difference. The shower head needs to be changed , it was spreading water everywhere in the shower. One more thing , please please please have a roll of paper towel in the kitchen. I dont like using a table cloths.

The hotel and location

Lovely suite well worth the bit extra. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Great restaurant the evening meal deal was well worth it nice pool area . Good location for visiting the main attractions. Would definitely recommend.

Nothing

Room was super equipped- loved having a microwave, stove and pots in case needed. Worth knowing that you have to upgrade if you want a room with a desk Liked having the ability to text reception on WhatsApp if needed assistance with anything Staff in the restaurant were lovely

Handles across the room were a bit sticky, pots weren’t completely clean Gym was a bit dingy and only had a singular treadmill and some weights (just decided not to use it in the end) Pool got quite crowded as the pool area isn’t very big.

Everything

The pool is not heated😒

The location of the hotel is excellently placed. It is around everything that matters in Sandton. The Convention center, restaurants and malls.

The room was too small for sharing and it is too far for someone who does not have a car, There is no control of other visitors who are noisy, so it is difficult to sleep in those outside rooms.

The staff and the relaxing space and massage services

The breakfast has limited options and the room service is not always available.

Nothing

Service

Perfect location

Bad scent from the toilet. Slow delivery of order during breakfast

Humanity at reception

Bathroom facilities

The Restaurant food delicious!!! 😋 The Barman Leon goes extra mile to service his customers. Then Kaia the waitress always smiles and whitty remarks… always know what best for customers and serving professional with great smile. Please do not lose these personnel they are and were lovely and fabulous. A definite plus for the amount Hotel im Katherine drive, Sandton! Happiness prevailed all the time during my stay… thank you all!!

Nothing keep going as you are!!!

The atmosphere

Everything was amazing. So nothing I didn't like there

Nada

Honestly nothing

Power went a couple of times some places looked dirty

Everything was 💯

None

Location , staff, facilities

Nothing

I came for the jacuzzi

There’s not much not to like, staff is friendly and professional. Location is great and it’s safe. Facilities are proper and well taken care of.

Im not sure about breakfast cause we never included breakfast

Room.service takes a bit longer n they are far

THOUH THE BUFFET WAS LIMITTED BUT ALL WENT WELL, Staff (Male) from the kitchen was very hands on, their green salads was absolutely divine and tasty.

Their welcoming was so cold..., there was NO BUTLER to assist with our luggage's from the Uber. We were told to pay extra fees if we wanted to check-in earlier, since we were coming from KZN. But we did not checked-in earlier.

I did nt hv breakfast was sure if had added it also I woke up late

The TV had so signal , dish cloth was dirty

Everything was on point

Oh the bed was really comfortable , the bathroom was clean 👌, I also liked that the air-conditioning was working.

The cleaning staff need to also check on the side tables because when we got to our room it was clean but the side tables were not clean .

Skvělá a bezpečná lokalita, v pěší vzdálenosti od náměstí Nelson Mandela Square. Pěkné zařízení a velmi příjemný a ochotný personál, výborná snídaně. Kromě bazénu volně k dispozici i venkovní vířivka.

The room was big and very comfortable! The location was safe and close to other main locations. We stayed two nights before going to Kruger park by car, and it was easy to arrive and departure in the direction of kruger - it is less expensive than staying close to the airport. Hotel staff was kind and helpful. I definetely recommend the hotel!

The shower leaked a bit due to layout, but nothing that troubled us.

Good vibe

The shower drainage was blocked

Loved the food and drinks ( especially cocktails ) and the jacuzzi

The breakfast bauffet was kinda simple and basic , and cold

Staff is so friendly

No equipment in the gym

Very comfy beds. Quiet and safe location. Very clean

Restaurant attached is called Pablo. The service is very slow. Then our meals came out at different times.. chips luke warm. Food was cheap and cheerful. Service poor.

Location and the staff

Shower isn’t pleasing a bit because the water as we showered didn’t drain immediately which caused a pool which wasn’t hygienic.

Everything about the apartment

Our room was far from the reception had to walk up most of the time

Breakfast was delicious, and the location was great—close to the mall and several restaurants.

I liked everything about the property. The breakfast was delicious, the location was great and conveniently close to the mall and restaurants, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I had a wonderful stay.

Great location, easy to get to and from.

All good.

Location..breakfast and pool

Nothing

It was proper

Nothing

Modern

Bathrooms

Nothing

Room was damp, and dirty shower dirty old and always blocked Lots of hair all over the floor Towels old

Localização.

Café da manhã poderia ser melhor.

Lack of Care clearly visible in the rooms

I liked the fact that I could make my own quick meals

Misleading information about breakfast, there is an additional fee for breakfast.

Everything

One key

Frankly speaking I love everything about mint and this time I have to get my friends to also lodge here

Clean and quite environment and friendly team

The staff is very friendly, The bed is very comfortable, the outdoor activities, I love everything about it

Wifi strength, I was not happy, it was giving me issues lately , I need internet to work , if they can improve on their wifi strength

Room is stuffed,struggled to sleep

The pool area and view

Nothing everything was nice, especially the meals from Pablo restaurant

Buena ubicación, cómodos ambientes

El ascensor malogrado

Everything

Nothing

It’s close proximity to Sandton city. Apartment style hotel.

Toaster was not working in the apartment we booked.

It had a homely feel.

The smell, they had to change my room after I complained it had a strong smell of oil… The second room did not smell of oil but was also smelly…

We really enjoyed our stay and were very satisfied. The room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, the staff were kind and helpful, and the entire hotel had a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. We were also very pleased by the kind surprise of receiving a better room as a complimentary upgrade. This upgrade made our stay even more enjoyable. We appreciated the professional approach, pleasant surroundings, and the overall care shown to guests. We can definitely recommend this accommodation and would be happy to return in the future.

Clean, safe.

Prefer room service.

Connivence close to Gaustation

Not clean

Poor service and rudeness

The spacious rooms and ease of location.

Seafood was not properly cleaned, especially the prawns. Shrimps were hard, given the sense that they were not fresh.

Everything

Nothing

Clean and neat

No bottle water and staff advised that they dont recommend drinking water from the tap Restaurant service was terrible and food even worse Coffee provided has a metal taste and isn't good at all

Room was amazing

Non

The location, close to everything

The staff is slow

The breakfast was delicious. I also loved the fact that the food court was not crowded, so I did not have to queue to get my food. The pool view was amazing, hence enhancing the experience as well.

I did not like the fact that I could not operate the stove without the help of Google.

breakfast was good ,however i think some breakfast sausages should be added

shower caps in the room and a phone to call reception

Localização, conforto do quarto
