Prima hotel, met name gericht op zakelijke reizigers. Uitstekende bedden en een heerlijk ontbijtbuffet. Gratis shuttle service naar Nelson Mandela Square.

De ligging is goed, echter wel langs een drukke weg. In eerste instantie hadden wij een kamer langs deze weg, maar op ons verzoek hebben we een kamer gekregen in een rustiger gedeelte. De badkamer verdient een upgrade.

Location was fantastic. Breakfast was a good spread.

It’s a bit smaller than photos on booking.com would suggest (especially pool area). Bedrooms could do with a refurb but beds super comfy and lovely large bathroom.

The gate is on the main and busy road. The management of entrance and exit needs improvement as there is a risk of motor vehicle accidents as vehicles queue into the road

The restaurant has good breakfast but the staff that work at the restaurant aren’t very welcoming. Especially the lady that assists with getting walk in customers a table as you enter. She was always shouting the other staff that work with her at the restaurant which was unethical or unfriendly . As a customer you want to see the staff working as a team sharing good positive energy with each other. I didn’t see all of that. Why are we shouting at other colleagues infront of customers ??

We stayed at Southern Sun Katherine Street for 2 nights, it took around 30-35 minutes to get there from the airport. We arrived quite early and were able to securely store our luggage while we relaxed by the pool area. We managed to get in our room a little early and it was clean, spacious and comfortable. One of the best features was the free 5km shuttle which was easy to arrange and Sandile (the driver) was great taking us to and from Sandton City. Breakfast was also good which some good options. Overall this was a great place to base yourselves in Sandton.

Breakfast is always a bit dull..not much options for vegetarians or kids. The shower door leaked water onto the floor.

This is the second time I have experienced unacceptable customer service at this hotel. Once again, my room was not ready upon arrival, forcing me to wait alongside several other frustrated guests who were experiencing the exact same issue. When I politely inquired about the delay, the front desk agent displayed a completely condescending and dismissive attitude—refusing to even make eye contact and bluntly stating that it wasn't his job to clean or inspect the rooms. The total lack of accountability, poor communication, and blatant disrespect from the staff are deeply disappointing, and this pattern of poor service needs to be addressed immediately by management.

Prima hotel - goed om bij te komen na een lange vlucht en als uitvalbasis voor dagtocht door J-burg. Inderdaad al een wat ouder hotel, maar door redelijk onderhoud ziet het er nog goed uit. Ruime kamers, elke dag nieuwe waterflesjes. Goed restaurant waar je goed kan eten en ontbijten. goede koffie van de barista! Gratis shuttlebus naar de mall vlak bij.

aan badkamer kan je zien, dat het een ouder hotel is - deze zou een upgrade kunnen gebruiken. Zwembad is wat klein (voor ons te koud gezien jaartijde dat wij er waren, dus niet gezwommen)

Katherine Street can get quite congested so it takes a bit to get to the hotel in rush hour. Other than that, great experience.

My first time returning in over 10 years. Room decor is a bit dated, but still comfortable and clean. Service levels were exceptional across the board.

The hotel lacks a proper indoor lounge area, as the current space is next to the reception or out on the verandah, which is cold at night.

An absolute wonderful 1 night stay with beautiful room and a delicious, quality and variety breakfast offering. Staff so polite. Everyone greets you and it's looks like a great company to work for.

Location was perfect. Once you get in there is no noise from outside. Room was spotless clean and so spacious. From the moment I check in I was met with warm smiles and willingness to help. Thelma was outstanding she is such a lovely person who clearly enjoys her work. She really made me feel welcomed. I enjoyed the food, well prepared and fulfilling.

Nothing really. On a personal note I prefer firmer mattress. The bed was comfortable for a 1 night stay, but if I was staying longer I would appreciate a firmer option.

Hotel muito bom, bem localizado, cama boa, quarto grande, boa qualidade de roupas de cama e banho. Funcionários muito atenciosos e educados e excelente café da manhã. Apresenta uma comodidade extra , que é uma van que transporta os hóspedes de forma gratuita num raio de 5 km( super funciona).

The house keepers broke my charger. Nothing was done about it. And food portions are very questionable for the price.

Friendly staff, perfectly clean room, fantastic breakfast! Clearly this hotel is very well managed, on all levels. Maintenance, gardens, security, everything exceeded my expectations!

Muitos quartos ficam fora do prédio principal, parece um condomínio. Para ir ao café da manhã, precisa caminhar por um espaço aberto, sujeito a chuva. Deveria ter fotos mostrando esses quartos. A localização é afastada. Dei gorjeta pro maleteiro que ficou querendo mais, foi constrangedor; sendo que fiquei em 4 hotéis diferentes na África do Sul e nos outros, todos ficaram felizes com a gorjeta que eu dei.

The kettle had mold in it, and upon my request for new one, I was not only given a faulty kettle, but the delivery person for the kettle walked straight into the suite while I was showering because I didn’t answer the door in time. Absolutely ridiculous. I would not recommend this stay.

Ótima localização com opção de shuttle nas redondezas, quarto espaçoso e bem equipado, staff simpático, academia. Já havia ficado em outro hotel da rede na cidade e o padrão é excelente, a única diferença é que essa unidade são como quartos separados por blocos e não um grande prédio.

Acesso para os quartos por escada, mas o staff ajuda com as malas.
